Our entire experience was beyond exceptional...I tried to submit a review, but not sure it went thru, here it is again: This is not a "pricing" review, this is 100 % customer satisfaction review…and to say 100 % is even limiting our feedback. We will tell this story over and over for anyone ever renting a moving vehicle. Uhaul has been nothing but accommodating. Our story started with us renting a 10ft truck and a trailer to pull a car. We picked it up, after they helped us secure the car on the trailer, brought it home…and realized…we just were not comfortable towing it. So the next morning, we went back, unhooked the trailer and only rented the truck. I start at the very beginning, because every uhaul store we dealt with…were amazing! No fussing, no complaining, just such a willingness to help us! We hit the road Thursday morning and not even (4) hours into our trip, a mishap happened…not placing blame in any way, but the drivers side mirror got ripped off and shattered the drivers side window. Not having a clue what to do when it happens to a rental vehicle, I called uhaul and got the automated system, pressed 2 if we had an accident. This is when I met Kathy…to say Uhaul was blessed the day they hired her…is a drastic understatement. SHE WAS FANTASTIC!!! She instantly made sure we were all okay first, then walked us thru…and I mean walked us thru…everything. She came back with options and let us pick, she got everything set up in record time for us…literally from the time I called her to report the accident happened (9:33am) and the time she secured us another truck (our choice to switch vehicles) unload, reload, grab lunch, get gas and hit the road…it was under 4 HOURS!!! The majority of the time was us unloading and reloading, which SHE OFFERED TO GET US MOVERS!!! Simply amazing everything she offered and thought of to help us out. I only wish I could have gotten her last name, but hopefully, you can look it up by the reservation number above. OH!!! I forgot, before we even got to the replacement truck, she had issued us a credit for unloading and reloading OUR OWN STUFF!!!! And gave us an extra day for our trip, AT NO CHARGE!!! Our daughter is in the Air Force and she is moving from Italy to North Dakota and we are taking her pups, furniture, and her truck to her, that's the reason for our trip. In what could have been a crazy time delay, a huge set back, a negative impact…SHE turned it around for us. We will never be able to thank her enough, PLEASE if there is any way for her to know how very much we appreciated her, her attitude, her fast work, and just pleasantness…PLEASE tell her for us! God has a way of putting the exact right people in the exact right spot at the exact right moment when you don't even know you need it. She was our God moment person yesterday!

Be more diligent about the condition of your vehicles when releasing them to customers. I rented a pickup truck. It was ready for me when I arrived and the staff was courteous. From there it went downhill. The truck had been running, I imagine to allow the engine to warm up. But the heat had been set on high, so I had to put the windows down to cool the interior. The interior of the windshield was so dirty and cloudy that I had to stop and clean it. The most disconcerting thing was the right front tire had low air pressure. When I had driven about a mile a warning came on to indicate low tire.

Provide road worthy trailers. I had to drop off the trailer I rented at another location as I didn't feel safe driving it back. Wouldn't recommend this location until they start checking safety of the equipment prior to renting it to unsuspecting customers.

Have 2 employees at check-in. Although the manager did his best to multi-task it took too long to check in. The physical space where you wait to check in at the counter is too confining. You can barely fit through there. By just pushing back the row of boxes there would be enough room and customers wouldn't feel claustrophobic.

This location has no waiting room, they did find a chair I could sit in. Also, the hitch was apparently delivered to a different location but checked in as being at my location. So after 20 minutes of searching, my service attendant found it at another store. I had to wait 50 minutes for him to go pick it up and bring it back. Then I had to wait for the install.

Battery died twice during my 8 hour trip . Recommend checking these kinda things before renting out the truck . Dolly was also left out of truck after saying we were good to go and then had to drive over 25 minutes to retrieve it from the store . Recommend checking that all items customer needed are in the truck before saying they're good to go .

The move was relatively easy BUT the paperwork is a nightmare. I keep getting charged for rental when everything was delivered on the 10th of January. I was told that they had not closed out their paperwork. This is the third time that I have received this charge and the third time I have to call and try to get it straightened out.

Stood in the location for 10 minutes after completing my online check in. Two employees just hanging out while 1 employee was with a customer. All employees seen me enter, no one even acknowledged me until 10 minutes in. The 1 employee was standing and leaning against a tall stack of boxes, the other employee was sitting down with AirPods in watching a movie on his phone. Maybe the one watching a mover was off and waiting on a ride Or Something? Nothing was mentioned to me or I didn't overhear that but I'm just hoping they wouldn't be doing it on the job. You could just tell this business didn't care. They know people come there to get a U-Haul because they basically have to. So they carry themselves as such as to not do but the bare minimum.

I originally rented one from the Kernersville location. I was called from 336 802 1776 and was told they did not have one available there but I could get one at High Point location. I made the appointment for 645PM as I get out of work at 630PM and the store closes at 7PM. I showed up at 638PM and the employee there said I was too late despite being there 7 minutes prior to my appointment. (*note There was also someone leaving with a rental at that point as well.) The guy after talking to me, went to the computer and shut it down knowing I was there for a rental. I asked if there was anything he could do to help me and he said no because the computer was being shut down and they do not rent after 630PM. There was no apology, and he just didn't care or even show any concern about the situation. Either he was lying about last rental time or the lady who called me was incorrect in telling me that I could pick up the trailer at that time. It takes a lot to actually upset me to the point to lodge a complaint, but congratulations Uhaul did just that thing. This location is not friendly.

Nickel and dimed for everything, typically I'm use to U-Haul doing that but now I'm charged per mile . Before I would just have to make sure it was clean and gas was back to where it was when I got it. What a joke I hope yall go out of business.

One of the guys there had a nasty attitude. He didn't speak when I came in the store but whenever I returned the truck and I wanted to take a picture of the mileage because we had an issue last time with the mileage. I just wanted to take a picture. He had the nerve to say I don't need to do that we wll take care of that and I tried to niceltexplain to him why I was taking the picture. He goes on to say that doesn't have anything to do with him. I'm like exactly so I don't understand why you said anything in the first place. The nice youbg lady at the desk was very pleasant though.

Raven, the assistant manager, was extremely helpful, informative, polite, friendly, and confident of U-haul's services and products, when I first contacted the North Main, High Point location by phone. She offered a visit to the facility to compare U-Haul's ramp vs. liftgate, though I declined. My son, helping me move, and I, with some large, heavy pieces to move, were looking for a truck with a liftgate which U-haul does not offer, so I reserved a truck with a liftgate at the competitor Penske. The Enterprise dealer didn't answer the phone, even after half-dozen attempts to contact. After two days of wrangling with an authorized dealer of Penske rentals, whose quoted prices and terms were inconsistent between conversations, and different from those posted on the corporate website, who insulted me and my son, then refused to answer my clarifying questions of daily rental and mileage amounts, telling me to tell my son to call him, and hung up on me. No liftgate truck is worth being insulted and hung up on, so my son and I decided we'd go with U-Haul. We reserved online, and then received a phone calls from an agent, Deborah, who discussed with us our needs, and options that would meet those needs. It was painless and easy, and most of all, consistent and COURTEOUS. I kept thinking of how calm, respectful, and pleasant my conversation with Raven had been, and how different it was from the brusque, rude, and condescending conversations with the Penske dealer. We rented U-Haul's15-ft truck for two days, and a 10x10x8 storage unit at Raven's location, North Main, High Point, North Carolina. When I went to the location to sign the storage unit rental agreement and get a lock, I met Raven, and she was just as courteous, knowledgeable, and professional in person, as over the phone. Although we weren't able to move the heaviest large piece with the truck with the ramp, we now know we can do so with a trailer rented through U-Haul, which we plan to do this upcoming week. Over my lifetime, I've rented trucks for moving nearly two dozen times, most of them through U-Haul. I don't know why I thought any other truck rental company could do as good a job as U-Haul on this most recent move, but I've learned my lesson. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff make all the difference. U-Haul from now, on. Merci.

First couple of months everything was cool. Then a got a call saying my unit had been broken into. That was the first strike. I pay you guys to make sure my belongings are secure and you can't even do that. Second strike, before moving out I removed my furniture set to go into my apartment which had what appeared to be mold on. We'll mold grows in moist environments and I figured that can't be because they are fully secure. Wrong. After a deeper look, a lot of stuff that was in there had water damage and mice poop everywhere. Strike 3 for me. My expectation was to pay you per month to ensure my things were safe and would be from the time I put it in there to the time I take it out. Won't do this location again let alone uhaul unless it is indoor.

The he staff was rude, often lied about auction dates to scare myself and other customers to pay. Went back on their word about previous conversations, did not notate arrangements in the system. Very argumentative. Someone tried to authorize a payment from two of the cards I had on file without my knowledge and when I called the store KC sounded nervous and rushed me off the phone claiming he didn't know how it happened. I never heard back about it. I also received a bill after I signed a settlement agreement and moved out. This was a stressful situation experience and I would never recommend this location to anyone.

It was so crammed full of trailers and trucks it was almost impossible to get in/out of the facility upon arrival to check-in. I was actually parked in the entrance due to trucks being in the way for a good 20mins as they struggled to find my reservation and get me signed-up. Then upon returning after hours, I found a truck parked such that I had inches on each side to get in/out of the facility!! Had I had a trailer this would not have been possible at all!!!

You guys should give KC the manager a raise, promotion or both. He's courteous, on top of all the moving parts of the store, and always helpful. I have rented there before both trucks and a storage space, and there has never been a time when he was not 100 % helpful.

My reservation was cancelled the same day I was slated to move in. There was 0 communication. My wife, and brother-in law had to wait until the next business day as the staff drove away for the night laugh at us. Moving stuff is a pain in general this has been worse than usual. The manager left without assisting us. Another employee terminated our move in agreement without my signature or approval earlier in the same day. And as a result I had to stay in a hotel and find a last minute dog sitter. This has been my worst move in experience. I wish any other Uhaul storage facility in a 30 mile radius had a similar sized unit available. Customer service and support has need severely lacking.

The only issue upon moving in was that there was no free lock in our unit. Luckily we had one on our trailer, but this might have been more problematic for someone else who would have had to leave to go get one. It was a Sunday so we couldn't go in to see anyone. Not sure if the facility requires you to use that type of lock, but I haven't heard from anyone so I assume it's not an issue. Maybe I should be getting a credit on my account for the cost of the lock though..?

the security gate was broken for most of the time I had the unit. I was given a 'VIP' rate, but, U-haul didn't know about it, so the final straw was a notice stating my items would be sold for non-payment. the employee thought my concerns were funny. POOR customer service. however, the last employee was absolutely the BEST! I wouldn't have left U-haul if the quality of all of the employees was like him. He even signed my final receipt. this was the only signed receipt that I got.

Le personnel était amical et serviable. Unit was clean. I had an online reservation at another Uhaul location but when I arrived there I was told there wasn't any available units - obvious communication error between affiliate and corporate website. Luckily I found a unit at this location. Staff at this location was very helpful

A 60 charge to my debit card was unauthorized and without my knowledge charged without any type of COMMUNICATION with me by the manager. He denied the fact THAT he did it and REFUSED TO LOOK AT THE RECIEPT I had obtained from Corporate. HE WENT BEHIND MY BACK AND CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT WHILE I WAS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. NO RECORDS EXIST FOR THAT TRANSACTION BUT I HAVE AUDIO AND VIDEO OF HIM DENYING THAT HE DID IT... I HAVE INDISPUTABLE PROOF FROM MY BANK AND A RECEIPT SHOWING THE TRANSACTION.

My overall experience with U-Haul was TERRIBLE! The unit (1810) had a horrible odor that developed after the first few days. The smell was much like a dead animal or rodent. But my main problem was the LACK OF COMMUNICATION that existed. Even though I paid my bill I received three (3) "Pre-Lien" letters stating stating I had not paid my bill. When I told the manager he stated "those letters are from Corporate, they don't mean anything, just throw them away." This made no sense. Why didn't the manager simply inform corporate my bill was paid?

My locks were changed without my notice. I had mold on my things after one weekend. There was so much moisture in the unit Rats/mice droppings aplenty were found in my unit. They ate thru some of my things. I saw that rat poison black box was put in my unit. I had to throw things away cause i saw rat droppings on them. Truly disgusting. I was not warned about rats.

Some staff lacked the proper skills needed for job. The key cards given never worked and you would often have to wait for someone to help you. My unit had a roof leak and damaged my items. NOT HAPPY!
