Facilities was well maintained and well staffed. The regularly treat for pests and the climate control was always active. The only thing I can fuss about was how expensive it became after the years.

I don't like the whole process. Trucks not available and I had to drive an hour just to pick one up. I'm flexible but I think that was way too much. Then hitting me with an additional charge for the dolly when no one told blue there was going to be a second bill. Very misleading. Not satisfied and will not use your service any more.

I scheduled a reservation at a location 10 minutes from me for 7am on May 1st. The night before I got a call saying that location didn't have a truck anymore so they moved my pick up to 9am at a location 15 minutes away. At 8:50 on May 1st I get another call from the location stating the original renter extended his reservation so the truck was no longer available. They moved my new pick up location to a place 30 minutes away at 10 am. I show up at the new location and the truck wasn't dropped off yet! I had to wait 1 hour for it to show up and get cleaned. The staff at the last location were great but I will NEVER be renting a UHAUL again!

When I initially moved my furniture into the storage unit I noticed there was a leak and notified the staff. I didn't want my stuff to get damaged.

According to Shawn the manager U-Haul rents trucks, not A/C when told it doesn't work. In this case it was what he said AND the way he said it, very unprofessional and not a good look for the U-Haul brand. We will never use this location or recommend it to anyone we know.

A/C did not work properly. there was key to unlock the rear door with my equipment inside. was charged for a dolly which i did not use because it was not secured in the back of the van.

Nothing. The van was clean - interior and exterior. The tires looked brand new. It had SiriusXM so I didn't have to find music and it connected to my phone for GPS. Alysa was extremely nice and the gentleman who received the van upon return was also extremely nice. Two thumbs up!

I had a reservation for today at 6pm and was just sent an email changing my pickup to Chef Menteur Hwy. when I live in Harvey. Told me a lie that someone rented it a month ago. To receive a email 3 hrs. prior to my pick up time is very unprofessional when I booked this van 10 days ago and received a confirmation. I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone---highly disappointed!!!!!!

The LOCATION was excellent, no complaints at all. I highly recommend that. The truck was clean and serviceable however the windshield wipers were horrible. They literally fell apart halfway through our trip of 1400 miles. This is a huge safety issue. The dealer told me later that U-Haul does use the cheapest wipers. Make sure to have them replace the existing ones BEFORE you depart.

The movers aspect needs to be a bit more streamlined, for movers to come in and talk about they need more money up front was kind of weird. I paid for 5 hours they worked for 3.25, then wouldn't come back to the house load the truck so I could unload it myself the 2nd trip, even though there was nearly 2 hours remaining, so there's large items i still have to have moved, they also broke the dolly strip that was never used as we had our own dolly and cart to use, but they didn't use those either at all so not sure if they are encouraged to do so, so expect to have to pay for a dolly too when you book. Uhaul staff were all great & friendly, the movers were too but that payment thing needs to be configured differently if there is a way, because again, I paid for 5, was estimating 4 +1hr for stairs, so I truly expect that remaining time to be used to load the remaining bigger items.

Make sure to inspect all trucks thoroughly before issuing to customers. My issue very much caused a delay. At the end of it all the manager was very helpful in solving my problem.

Customer service was fine. I had my authorized driver pick up the vehicle. They were cleaning the van when he arrived. Unfortunately, I was the one that had to drive it throughout the day. The smell in there was horrid. It smelled as if someone defecated in there. Driving was tolerable as I drove with the window down, but I could not enter the back of the van. Whatever was used to clean the van, or mask whatever smell was in there just made it worse.

The woman checking us was great. However, the day before we had tried to rent the trailer and did not have the proper light kit on my vehicle. I told them that I would reschedule the trailer for the next day after I purchased the light kit and installed it. I told them that I would go to AutoZone to purchase the kit. As I was leaving, I saw an entire wall of light kits in the garage area and asked if they sold them. They replied yes, so I went back in to see if you all carried the right one. And indeed, you did, and I bought it. The man that installs those kits was also there and did not inform us that that service was available. The manager was also on duty. I think it was a missed opportunity for your team to provide great customer service and increase the sale and service for your company, but they didn't seem to want to do the extra work or try to make the most of us as customers. My criticism is of the manger and the service person, not of the desk agent.

It wasn't no good experience for me because they didn't have the unit I needed and they asked me and I told him that the one that I wanted but then when I looked at it I need a bigger one and I couldn't get it and I had to stuff all my stuff up in the half of it didn't even fit this just wasn't no good experience

I was charged for a utility dolly that I didn't get. I was charged for an extra day when I turned in the uhaul a day before I was actually suppose to. I wasn't refunded the $15 for the utility that I was initial charged for it.

Uhaul provided great after hours services. Truck was easily located. Instructions for the key retrieval was clear. I had a time getting the key at first, but I did manage to get it out of the lock box. Overall, I was satisfied.

Facility damaged my items from thier broken a/C unit leaking into my unit & because I didn't carry insurance they refused to pay for my property. They kept going up on their rates w/below average services. Moved out of 2 of their units.

My reservation was for a drive up unit, however, when I arrived, I was told my reserved unit was not available. I was given an unit on the second floor with no elevator nor dolly available for rental. This was very frustrating. If uhaul would have notified me of this, when I made the reservation, I could have made other arrangements. Don't wait until someone shows up, then inform them their previously reserved unit is not available.

During the time my belongings were stored with U-Haul, my rental rate went up six times with the following statement as an explanation for the increase: $1 990 in additional charges based on this statement in each letter notifying me of an increase: "My staff and I pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, dry, and secure self-storage facility and are dedicated to improving your storage experience. We complete daily inspections of the property to proactively improve facility maintenance and security, as well as conduct a monthly pest control program to adhere to our superior cleanliness standards." In the end, I paid an additional $1 990 for this promise of cleanliness and pest control. But when I came with movers to clear out my storage unit on 7/24/23, I discovered that every piece of upholstered furniture, carpets, wooden items, art, and some clothing had all been destroyed by vermin. While the staff was friendly and helpful and the insurance I'd paid for covered most of the damage, I am angry that I paid $1 990 for enhanced cleanliness and pest control under completely false pretenses; if the management at that time had actually done what they promised in exchange for higher rent, my belongings wouldn't have been destroyed. I feel ripped off, and I certainly would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Storage unit was not I-315 climate control . Some wood pieces had mold, the rats were horrible they pee, poo,chewed clothing etc. Just had I did not have to leave merchandise any longer…When speaking to a worker they mentioned he do not go in the units. Well it's over and glad to return home in Alabama…Would recommend but tell them to check storage periodically.

We reserved a climate control large unit, when we arrived there was only one unit available which was not climate control and very small unit. i had to take it out of desperation for a move next day and no time to look elsewhere. Why reserve a space if it is going to be given away to someone else? The unit has no light, appears it was torn out.

Customer service was complicated. Each time I called to get clarity on anything, I was placed on hold for more than 10 minutes and the disposition of the rep was nasty. This was a common thing at the Lapalco in Harvey business. Each time I entered the building, it was quite junky. It looks like they're going out of business.

This will be the last time we use uhaul. Experience was horrible from start to finish especially the Harvey location. We pulled in and walked in the building and where told I'm on the phone with my momma you have to wait. 4 minutes later is when we finally started getting help if you want to call it that. We where eligible for a free month storage in a climate controlled unit when we arrive thats not the case. They tryed to charge us for the month and then it wasn't even a controlled unit. After getting 2 managers they finally agreed to hold up to the offer. Not a climate controlled unit. We where then displaced because of hurricane Ida. We called to see if they could pro rate a few days because we where not in the area where told no very rudely. Told us that if we didn't have the stuff out by thrusday the 16 by 4 we would be charged again. We dropped everything and came to get the stuff out when I went to check out I was again almost charged for somthing that was agreed apon. After 20 minutes waiting for a manager to come assist me to figure it out and talk about the damage to my materials in the unit was rudely told nothing we can do here have to claim online. Horrible customer service no one I know will be renting from your company.

Horrible to say the least. Almost a week waiting to hear from a customer service representative. Faulty equipment. Lack of facilitation. No communication on processes and alternative processes. Lost a sale on furniture that I had advertised. Couldn't get into the building using access card. Had to return the truck before being able to use it. Only truly helpful person was Travis in Roadside Assistance. I can keep going... next time I will rent a truck from Home Depot and a unit elsewhere. Worse $200 spent.

Some staff members were great, but the store manager was horrible. I was charged for a storage space I did not have access to and I was accused of putting the wrong lock on my storage even though I bought the lock from their store. When I shared this information with an employee and the manager I was threatened by the manager that my lock would be cut off if I did not come to remove it. The lock was on the storage space they charged me for but I did not have access to it. Needless to say I will not do business with this facility again. Most of the staff members were truly great and helpful but that manager has got to go.

When I got to this unit I wanted a big unit. After applying for the unit I was given three separate small units which would have not fit any of my big furniture. The building was also unsecured and had a broken door.

When I first got the unit I had problems but once the young guy Jordan took over I had no problem after he even gave me the option to choose a buzzer are a card to get in and out the gate due to me have a problem with the card that I was provided but he said they been had the buzzer I would recommend dealing with this guy any day.
