My husband talked to 2 people 2 days before the pick-up and they confirmed 8:00 pick-up. Location did not open until 9:00 but we thought there would be a system to pick-up since they confirmed it. We called main number and they said they could change location or "start process for $50 credit" since truck wasn't ready. Employees did not actually show up until 9:20 AM to location so we were there almost an hour and a half with about 7 other customers. Employee then made everyone do the app which wasn't working. He finally agreed to check my husband in in person. My husband asked about the $50 credit and was told "I don't see anything in the system - sorry, can't do that" Extremely frustrating morning that set us back on our schedule by 2 hours.
JOHN FI had accidentally called another U-Haul close by. When I ended up there, I was disappointed at myself that I didn't call you. But I figured I'm just renting a storage unit and a truck. It will be OK. I would say it was far from OK! When we finally got our stuff back to their storage place, they had no flatbed. trolleys to use. When I realize this along with all of the other issues we had there. I called your location and was told that you do have flat trolleys and had a unit available for me. We canceled that unit there put everything back in the truck and headed your way. So so very pleased with your staff with the units how clean everything is I will be putting your phone number in my phone this time for when I need another unit or a truck. MARKUS was absolutely wonderful! It took him just a few minutes to check me in and when I changed my mind and decided on a first floor unit he gladly went and changed it right away for me. I was so pleased and so is everyone else! Thank you, thank you for the excellent service!

They failed to perform their job duties (marking my return down) and then proceeded to charge me multiple late fees and harass me via phone calls. After explaining that the items in question had already been returned they failed to contact me to resolve the issue.
guadalupe cI have never had a horrible experience like I did at this location. I was recommended by U-Haul to drop off the truck I rented at this location because they needed the truck size I had. There were closer locations to where I was at but thought, hey the discount is worth the extra 30 minute drive to drop off the truck. NO IT WAS NOT!! I dropped off late at night because that is when I was done with the truck. I followed the instructions that were posted at the location and the instructions that appeared on the app for drop off. However, the next morning an angry "C" named employee called and was soooo rude. Asked where I had left the keys and don't get me wrong, I get that it is an inconvenience not having the keys were you need them but how was I suppose to know where to leave the keys if there weren't in any of the instructions anywhere at the location or the app. If I missed the instructions then educate me, let me know where they were posted so I won't make the same mistake again. That I do not mind because I know as customers we sometimes do miss things like this and that would definitely make it my fault. But do not call me in the morning with an attitude and just be rude. I answered both calls quickly and did not miss any call. I gave you the information needed. I will never go to this location because I do not deserve to be treated the way this person talked to me over the phone.

Agustin also put me in a better truck since the first truck didn't sound so good after starting. When returning vehicle, super disappointed with Christopher's overall attitude. Arrived 5 min before opening, door was opened so I walked in. Christopher barged past me with his headphones on refusing to acknowledge me. Had to stop him to tell him "good morning." Told me he was busy getting the store opened. Christopher is rude should not be in a customer-facing role. Vehicle was OK but not great. Tire pressure light came on sporadically despite tires having good tire pressure. Was a bit unnerving since we were driving on the freeway to all of our stuff in the back.

JOHN EDo away with having to disturb and or disrupt persons you have call to verify about renting a vehicle. Makes no sense at all and is an inconvenience. You have state issued drivers license and valid credit card with your name on it. Get rid of that stupid policy

I felt extremely uncomfortable for the customer in front of me. The customer asked questions about returning a hand truck and ge told him no, it must be this location, do you want to rent it or not? Customer said he couldn't return to This location and agent, said sorry, have a nice day! I believe his name is Christopher, he wore glasses. He was very short with me and no personality or pleasant interaction throughout my transaction at all. I know Uhaul is privately owned but a secret shopper should visit this local. Sheesh!

Cesare FI have used this location for about 4 years now. I prefer this Midtown location and will I drive past 2 others to get here. Jennifer and Jessica are both amazing at providing the best in customer service. They are professional and consistent in their service standards and getting the details right. It's always laughs and smiles when I see them but it's also business and courtesy and I appreciate supporting a business that supports me. I think it's important for companies like U-Haul to recognize excellence and supporting their team members with recognition but also financially with bonuses and anything they need to continue to be a success.

FRANK RI moved out because the door to access my unit was broken for two months at least never fixed anyone can get in if they wanted too then the gate to access the property was broken for a few days so I had to move out other then that I didn’t have a issue there
Branden M | Expérience généraleI had an incredibly difficult time getting out of the facility due to how close my van was parked to the yellow pole and how close a second van was parked behind me. Then I had a difficult time getting out of the gate. But what really infuriates me is that we booked the van so we could move our things from our POD parked in the welcome center of the apartment complex across the street from the U-Haul location to our apartment on the other end of the same city block. We literally only drove around that city block twice and then straight back to the U-Haul location. Literally less than a mile. But we were charged for 11 miles. And 7 gallons of gas. And I'm just too exhausted from the move and not sure I have the right proof to fight it. I shouldn't have to. Moving is a nightmare. I needed U-Haul to do right by me. So, enjoy the money you made off this rental. That's the last you will ever get from me.

I have been on the east coast since 1/1/2023 my first time to my unit I've been robbed irreplaceable valuables and property. I need my laptop for work and can't work without it! Absurd…. This place is trash. The young lady that helped get the unit was very helpful, kind polite and professional. She was great but the actual facility should be avoided!!!

Where Augustine is a rockstar, he was so helpful with planning and getting us the unit, to helping with rerouting our truck because it was late for arrival there, to making sure that everything we needed was on-hand. Then the second location where we actually picked up the truck, 1617 San Jacinto where the staff was courteous, friendly, and just over the top amazing to us. And Dalila in Baytown at the North Main location who guided us to both of the stores and set up the entire process for us. That young lady is our hero of the move. I have written a 5 star review on Google for the 2420 Louisiana St location, which if there were more stars to give, I would.

Regarding your facility, I was informed by the employee on duty that my storage rental was not available to be part of the 1 month free rental I was hoping to use. I have a coupon for redemption somewhere on this hideous U-Haul app. I would like to use that. If that's not possible, I'll be sure to use a different truck rental company when I complete my move.

I've had a long standing relationship with Uhaul due to moving quite a bit of due to our jobs. I call that loyalty to the brand, service, etc. There was a high presence of homeless people that lived in the units. The last 6 months it smelled so bad that I had to bring air fresher to even enter. The manager stated it was becauseof a refrigerator that a customer had stored withfood. That's not true. The last day I was getting all my stuff out of the unit the door was broken and the smell was at its worse. While we were there 2 homeless people entered the building without cards. They had a code to enter. The young lady in the office tried to help but i couldn't figure out if she cared or not. Or was it management not doing anything about the homeless, the smell, etc because it was very obvious. So would i recommend this place heck no. I never felt SAFE going to my unit. And that's a horrible feeling because I don't scare easily.

Alice C | Expérience généraleI really love using U-Haul, pretty much the only moving company that I deal with, but for some reason my past experience with you guys was a pretty horrible one. When I got my U-Haul in my car trailer, the trailer did not come with the package that I pay for as promised. I was given the runaround and then eventually had to pay for it when I thought I had already paid for it. I was told that I would be reimbursed a certain amount of money once I reach the state that I was moving to but that never happened. Once I reach the state I rented a U-Haul again and then were overcharged on my mileage. I was then charged two months of storage rent when I had moved out before my 30 days were up. This was the only bad experience that I had with U-Haul but I am still a customer And will continue to use U-Haul for all my moving events.

Jennifer could tell I reached my stress capacity as one of her team members were helping me while he was training a newer team member. Access code got us in the gate but wouldn't open the building doors. Received "access denied" a dozen times. No other "check-in" station was available, which was noted on the keypad. Service reps. Said customer service wasn't busy and could help us right away. Didn't happen-were on hold another 15-20 minutes. We were on a tight schedule for friends needing to attend a funeral vigil, so made for an awful experience all around. Also there was no lock in our unit.

When moving out, we hired movers at $109/hour to move our stuff out of the storage unit. In the middle of the move the maintenance guy tested the fire alarms and took down the elevators. We had movers sitting with no elevator service. The office only shrugged and stated "we've called the elevator service". The movers had to finally use the stairs which was more time consuming. When we finished up and left, the elevator service still had not arrived. The maintenance guy knew we were unloading our unit, why would he proceed to take down the elevators? We ended up paying an additional $164 due to that error! My experience with U Haul has always been excellent until this. Not okay!
