UHaul of Soldotna is an excellent facility. Secure, stocked with plenty of moving supplies, helpful, organized. Very professional staff. Our goods were stored over a period of 3 years with absolutely no adverse issues. I would use this UHaul facility again and again, if needed. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

The gentleman that helped me out with the rental was not very nice. He wasn't helpful and was very condescending. I was 2 hours late returning the trailer due to getting a flat tire and was charged for a whole nother day.

Quick. I was checked in and on my way in less than five minutes.

Talked with three different guys at the location I rented the trailer,2 were great and I bought a dolly from one of them. The 3rd guy, that I took my hitch to before my rental, told me my hitch was made " on a farm" and would not be accepted. When he finally got up and looked closely and saw the Draw Tite 5000 lb stamp, he said it would be ok, but it had to be 2 inch. I told him the website said 1 7/8 or 2. When I asked about the " surge" brakes on the 6 x12 trailer, he said they weren't "surge brakes " , they were " break away" brakes. I was going to be hauling a piano down Turnagain Pass in Alaska in December and didn't want the trailer pushing the truck. He was very dismissive and told me I was obsessing about the brakes that were listed on the website that I was paying extra for. I have been driving these roads since 1971 as an electrical contractor and hauling dogs and snow machines for mushing, if anybody else had the trailer I needed, I would have gone to them, even though the two other employees were great

I'm sure not everyone that works there is like this. The skinny guy that was waring an orange U-haul beanie, was awesome. Very personable and kind and He was the one that handled the transaction when I returned the truck. But The fat guy that thinks he funny could use some customer service training. I've used U-hauls before but I wasn't the one that did the whole reservation and transaction side. He asked me how many miles I'll be going and I stood still and was thinking, because I took too long he cut me off and said "well I'll just say 25 miles." Then I was asking him if my card was charged for the 50 dollars for the reservation already and will the deposit will be another 100 dollars? He says while chuckling "come on, what's a 100 dollars? That's nothing" I replied that I'm on a budget and just am watching my money. He made one or two more comments that were jokes and in the end He never answered my question. Later in the transaction he said road side assistance covers everything but getting stuck(which is the whole reason I got it), I assumed he was joking but he didn't laugh or say he was joking after he said it. I know I am a very timid person when I doing business that I'm new to. I don't care that he wasn't polite the whole transaction, it only bothered me he never answered my question. So I could have pressed him further and got my information but he made the whole thing very uncomfortable and my body language was obviously showing that.

This van rental was great but only needed it because my rental was gone along with all other 1 way vehicles. Gentleman was very helpful but it felt like the Seinfeld episode about they can make a reservation but don't know how to keep a reservation. Disappointed in U-Haul itself.

The location in Kenai tried to charge me 4 times as much for the exact same rental. Not a fan of that location.

When I book a 6x12 and I am only given the option of a 5x8 it is frustrating. When the clerk refused to abide by company policy and provide the $50 discount for my trailer not being available in Seward AK as planned. It was a 4+ hour round trip to get the trailer so the U-Haul company either lies on their website or the staff does not know the company policy. Although the guy I spoke with told me that they did not give the discount and that if I did not want the trailer they could put it up for auction.

After reaching my destination in Mt Shasta California. I was told that the lot i was scheduled to return it was full and that i would need to drive 150mile in the opposite direction to return it. I was told i would receive a part refund for my troubles. After returning it i received no refund. I have called and talked to multiple different costumer service, still no refund. This is very disappointing.

The mobile check in doesn't work well. The location is wrong. Keeps saying were too far from location when we're right there. These guys jumped in & took good care when the mobile check in didn't work. It's also invasive to privacy, so we won't use it unless it improves or changes. The employees at this location quickly take care of us & cover for the bad mobile check in system. Lots of people don't want to work these days or just do the minimal to get by. EVERY time I'm at uhaul for propane, supplies or rental - they're always busy. Always hustling, running around taking care of customers. Perhaps give them a raise & a budget for more employees during busy times. U-Haul can afford it. Seriously. ;-)

Wiring for the lights worked intermittently. Had to wiggle the wires at the plug on the trailer a few times but everything else was fine.

The truck that the employee showed me to and got me the keys for was not the truck that showed up on the self checkout. The truck that I was in started at 7766 miles and when I put the final miles in at 7824 the checkout told me that the miles couldn't be that because it was lower than starting.

I think that the daily rental fee for a 15 ft Uhaul was a little on the expensive side , and seems as though when calling to extend another day, it just got pricier than I would have expected. Employees were kind and competent , so that was nice . I'd like it to be about 1/3 the cost though .

Excellent !!!! All staff helpful and polite. Location was easy to get to, center if town. All facilities clean and well maintained. I was a client for about 8 years, finally found room at my house after rehoming many thing. I realized I would never need again.

Overall not terrible but we ran into a few issues. My payment didn't go through for some reason and a day later our keycard didn't work to allow us to get in. Okay understandable. We went to the desk and paid for the month only to find out that a second lock had been placed on the unit. We went back to the desk and the attendant was assisting another customer so we asked that he remove the lock and told him we would be back soon. When we came back the lock was still there and we had to ask again for it to be removed. Seems a bit overkill for a payment that was ONE day late especially since it showed I had attempted to pay it on time. The hours also aren't the best and it's inconvenient to be limited on when you're able to access your belongings. Overall not terrible and everyone working there was helpful and friendly for the most part. We just found it unsettling that after such a short time a lock would be put on the unit without a call or notice that the payment didn't go through.

Staff at the Soldotna U-Haul location were extremely helpful. The facility felt secure at all times and our belongings were even left unsupervised often as we hauled our belongings from the rental truck to our storage unit. There are also several carts you can use in the building to haul your belongings into your unit. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 stars is when we moved out, we let one of the gentleman know we were leaving and asked if he'd be able to close out our account. He said yes and we were still charged for units we were not using. It was an easy fix though because we called and they were able to reverse the charges right away and get us officially closed out. Otherwise, Soldotna's storage unit services exceeded my expectations.

Dont sell u-haul locks at your store if your not allowed to use them on your storage lockers. So they told me that I had to buy 2 round locks if I want to rent the storage there. I was FORCED TO BUY
