I was offered a quick and easy way to lock down a storage unit on line and I accepted that process and used my payment card to pay for it. The Northfield location offered one free month, and not once after repeated contact with them did they acknowledge that I made my payment on line although they continued to tell me that my payment was returned to my debit card account.

The U-Haul I was driving DC 100 1H. Needed serious wheel alignment. It was hard trying to keep the truck straight driving on the freeway.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! The employees managing the truck equipment were all high on drugs. They left the sales associate to herself, she was struggling to help everyone.

The associate could be more engaged and attentive to the customer. Especially knowing that the customers pay by the hour. I returned to drop off the vehicle, forgive me if it was written in the contract to leave the vehicle in a certain spot and leave the key inside. I must have missed that. Nonetheless, I walk into the facility. The associate was taking care of what I thought was another customer, so I wait for 2-5 minutes, the person walks way. I thought your associate was finishing up paperwork or something of that sort. Another minute or so has passed, I never was acknowledged and all I'm trying to do is return the vehicle. Finally, I had to get the guys attention to let him know I was retuning the vehicle. I walked towards the counter and this mf is playing on his phone. The mf seen me standing there. And so did the girl that stood up out of the chair on the customers side of the counter. So why did I have to address them oppose to either one of them addressing me with a simple, how can I help you? I really like the actual facility with the whole, climate control and accessibility hour. But that experience with the help. I could never recommend anyone that I know to go here. Unless the associates here develop better manors.

Thank you for taking care of my entire home inventory, safe and secure for 7 months. I moved out of state and when I returned to retrieve my belongings, everything was just as I left it. Everyone at the facility is friendly and polite. They are helpful and professional. It's a super clean facility, the restrooms are well cleaned. The facility is kept in very good condition. The general manager and his team clearly care about their work.

The gal who did the delivery at my home was very kind and lovely. All of the correspondence with the office over the phone was frustrating. Somehow my phone number was changed on my account leading to failed delivery of pods when we needed them. When I called to inquire the person was rude and accusatory that I had somehow ignored them or caused this error. I got multiple conflicting texts/emails with time variation etc and required many phone calls to get things set up.

The unit was ok. It's not worth the price! It served it's purpose. The manager needs to evaluate their staff! Totally unprofessional, as a former manger, I wouldve fired them all! And it's a shame, you have to hunt for your own equipment and staff is on the premises running their mouths and not working!

Have staff show up on time and with enough staff to service customers without long wait times. My original reservation was at a location that "was unable to fulfill my needds" so I was contacted by UHUAL and my pick up location was changed. I arrived at 9AM and was already 4th in line before the doors were opened a few minutes after 9. There was just one person to serve an ever exxpanding line of customers. It took a full hourt from start to finish--with a reservation--not a walk in. If I recommend this location to anyone I would advise them to make sure they expect it to take 1 hour to complete the pick up process.

It took over an hour waiting in line to pick up the rental with only four customers in front of me. Store customer service agents need both additional support and training on using and troubleshooting the computer systems.

Clerk told me that I was required to purchase insurance for the rental when I was not interested in purchasing. Felt like made up reason, something about it was required because the rental fleet was a 3rd party owner or something. Instead of arguing I took the charge but will not return to this location because of this.

I did self check in. I was assigned a dilapidated truck. When I went to the counter to pick up the key and "bypass the line" I was told to wait. Then they could not find the key so I had to wait and be assigned another truck. The new truck had a broken mirror, one windshield wiper scraped metal on glass, and the cargo area had not been swept. When I returned the truck the person who was supposed to be checking trucks in was sitting in his private vehicle and did not get out to help until prompted. When he did he reeked of marijuana smoke and said I needed to do self return. The location closed one hour before posted closing time. Will never return to this location.

Truck had 180k miles and was filthy. Front left panel by the door on the exterior was falling off. No wiper fluid. Breaks released randomly while parked and vehicle started to roll. Back of the truck was left open prior to me getting it.

My only complaint is that both times I needed to get into my Uboxes I would schedule a time but still had to wait for them to bring them out 30 minutes later than my appointment.The 2 ladies that delivered my Uboxes to my home were very polite and professional,they did their job well and were very friendly.They did a great job and deserve some recognition.Thank you!

The general manager was supposed to call me to confirm this refund. I have yet to hear from anyone this is the second day waiting on correspondence. I phoned the location twice yesterday and no one answered. This experience is horrible. 10/10 would not recommend.

Get off personal phone when attending customers. Go out to intro product instead of sending customer outside and then taking a break. Not double charge or overcharge even after calling the main line. Have a manager on duty that can handle these issues.

The elevators were not working and they did not have a back up as to how to get anything moved out of the second floor storage besides using the stairs. They had one set of elevators in that large facility. We were not told that the elevators were not working prior to letting them know that we wanted to empty out the storage unit.

When I pulled up, I was told to follow a gentlemen to drop off the trailer. Once I reversed in to the spot, I was told to disconnect the trailer my self, which was little odd since it was put on by the staff when I picked it up. I went ahead and disconnected the trailer my self. Then when I went inside the facility, the person behind the desk was very uninviting and short with me. I did not feel the customer service was up to par when dropping off. A simple hi , how may I help you would be just fine. But I didn't even get that.

The storage facility wasn't excessible after hours. I arrived at about 7:35p and couldn't gain entry using the key code and card provided at the time of the rental transaction. Customer service informed me that I had up until 10:00p. Nonetheless I had to leave the uhaul and all my belongings on the truck overnight as I didn't have anywhere to park the truck. Very bad experience at this location.

I haven’t gotten my receipt yet and I was told $26 would be refunded if I brought the truck back on 1/4 which I did and have not recieved that yet and it’s been 24hrs since I returned the truck.

Everyone we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable! The young lady who dropped the pods off put them exactly where we requested (thank you!). We especially appreciate the Ace Movers company, out of Myrtle Beach, who quickly and expertly emptied our pods into our new home. They were extremely helpful and we would highly recommend them.

Door 2 that I had to use to enter and leave the storage area was broken. The sensor did not work. I had to wait for someone to open the door to enter as well as wait for someone to open the door to leave. The man who came when I left was rude, implying I was stupid for going too close to the door when all I was doing was trying to activate the garage door (which is what I was told to do to enter). I again had to what to have the cargo door on my truck opened as it was frozen closed. Two female employees tried, then a very nice gentleman took care of it. These delays added at least one hour to the removal of my goods. Garage door should function and the cargo door on the truck should be confirmed to be functional before allowing me to rent the cargo truck. Im 5'1" and 120 lbs and 69 years old. Too many issues.

There was a gentleman (I wish I would've gotten his name) who was cleaning (1/15 around 5:45pm) who stopped what he was doing and walked us to our unit. He was very friendly, kind and helpful. He made sure we knew how to get back since it was a bit of a maze. He definitely went above and beyond to help us!

Unstaffed. It took over an hour to be helped and we were only the second person in line. When we left there were over 10 people waiting. Also, the lady did not know where our truck was actually parked. It was freezing outside and she sent us to the complete opposite side of the lot. Not knowing where the truck was did not impact my overall rating, if I were to include this I would have only gave one star.

Ive had my storage for over 5 years and decided to clear it out and let it go shortly after my mom passed. I reserved a truck and appliance dolly arrived the day before my monthly storage would have been due again I picked of the uhaul truck but they didnt have no dollys even though i was charged i explained i cant move out without a dolly i have appliances. I was never giver a dolly i have to go to home depot rent a dolly for $21 (4hours) then was able to complete 7 hour move prior i called uhaul on rockside regarding a dolly they tt their manager and said unfortunately they couldnt help Gwen the store manager said that was south beechwood problem wow really so what about trying accomodate me a long loyal customer. Lastly i had to ask for that credit for that dolly i never got. Such horrible customer service all the money that was made off me you out to be ASHAMED IM telling everybody I know and don' t know Goodbye

I entered the building with a greeting and I had to go look for someone. When I came across someone the employee had a 5 minute coughing fit in front me. Didnpt excuse herself to collect herself just kept coughing, Finally when I asked about the unit I needed to rent I could barely understand the individual. Once she started the process I had to repeat myself over and over. In mid click of the mouse, the employee PASTED OUT!!! I had to yell at the employee to wake her out of her drug induced sleep. I don't know what type of people you hire at this location but as soon as possible I will move my belongings out of that unit. Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had to deal with. That is not even the full extent of what this employee did but I have no patience to discuss anymore.

The lady who checked me out on Sept 20th at about 930 am was terrible. I stood wait because no one was there when I first walked in. The lady never greeted me and when I stepped up (because I was first) she started a transaction for her friend/someone she knew personally. When it was finally my turn, the Interaction was very uncomfortable. Thank you to the gentleman who completed the remainder of my transaction after I had taken the pictures required.

Building temp was about 76° first floor. But my unit is second floor. The upstairs was well over, at least 82° based on the thermostat. Yes, it's hot outside. But the upstairs ac does not work. It was blowing air that was the temp of the upstairs, as if just the fan is on. If advertised as controlled climate, I would appreciate if that were true, even in the hot months. I feel that the issue is that there is too much open space upstairs. The ceiling should be closed off, because the heat is trapped upstairs.

Had an outside unit, only problem was unwanted pest.  But after expressing the situation you gave me bug spray . And I set off a few roach bombs . Problem solved. Next time I will use an inside unit. Otherwise totally satisfied. Merci.

I was sold a unit that was already in use by a customer. I could not get a call or text back from the manager or anyone. I have not received an apology or anything for standing out in the rain and having to find an open unused storage unit due to their error. I just think had I just stuck to my storage unit at an offsite location I would not have had to deal with this. They were very nice inside the store but the service after leaving was the absolute worst. U-Haul is very difficult to get in contact for any support or help. If I had to do this over again I would definitely used a different storage and truck facility.

I put my things in storage while waiting to move on 06/30 by 7/10 my storage unit was infested with roaches. I had to throw out one of my king size mattress which wasn't covered. I found out that the insurance isn't worth anything it doesn't cover insects only rodents. I called the office and they told me that the unit gets treated twice a week. They would spray over and under my unit. How are you going to spray under and over my unit when it's on the second floor inside the building. I set off three roach foggers that didn't work. Came back and saturated the whole unit with 90 proof alcohol and hot shot roach spray that helped a little. Once it was time for move out I had to dump everything to make sure no roaches were left in my things. I feel bad for the people who are paying hundreds of dollars for storage and turns around and gets involuntary roaches.

There was a female worker with purple braids walking back and forth who had a terrible attitude and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Her response to everything was "Im off the clock" well how about you point me someone that can help although I just watched you help 3 different people. All though the guys at the front were very helpful I will never use this location again and will be leaving Google review thanks to YOUR employee purple braids.

I moved out of my storage unit on 6/29/2024 and I took pictures to show that the unit was clean and my lock was removed. I haven't heard from anyone until now saying that my move out date was on 7/10/2024 which is incorrect. Also the gas gauge wasn't where they said it would be but I replaced the gas that I used and I haven't heard anything about that either

I had storage units 1800-02 and 1804. I moved out of 1804 the same day as 1800-02 but do not see a move out receipt for 1804. Please issue one asap. Great experience overall. thank you

The hours are you guys promote are not the hours we have available to our storage , the staff is rude ! It's a clean environment but I don't have access to my storage after 7 pm and you don't compensate the coustmer we still have to pay our full storage fee while being shorted on access to our belongings

While the check in and instructions seemed clear, the actual process to access the building was a bit complicated in the first instance and took us about 10 minutes to figure out how to access the building through the keypad system.

Some of the staff while renting trucks are very unprofessional and seem to be so unhelpful. You ask questions and they have no clue what's going on. Again this is only some of the staff. The doors need to be repaired most times you couldn't get access.

Having the unit and the clean facility was great, but the lady in the office who I had to deal with to close my account would make me never rent at this location again. The lady attitude sucks for customer help and I should not have to come in and out of the office twice and stand in line to basically tell her how to do her job to make sure my account is closed so I don't get billed. To wrap it up I basically just didn't like the ladies attitude for something so simple!!!!!

The doors where you pull into the storage for some reason wasn't working so it was FREEZING while moving my stuff inside the storage which was very irritating and inconvenient. as well as I got into a argument with one of the staff members due to me asking him to go get the supervisor because that's originally who helped me and I wanted to make sure I wasn't charged for something I didn't get which was the dolly I asked for it and it was on my receipt but not on the Uhaul and he got very upset . Very unprofessional

It is hard to put into words how bad the experience of renting from this location is. This place is a disaster of epic proportions. To start, the facility is poorly maintained. There were multiple times when the elevator was not functional. I had a second floor unit storing large/heavy pieces of artwork. I spent countless unnecessary hours lugging pieces one at a time up and down the stairs instead of using a cart and moving a dozen at a time because the elevator was seemingly broken 50 % of the time. It is often really difficult to find carts at the location. One of the exterior bay doors is badly damaged and hasn't functioned for the last 2 months so only one interior loading bay is working. Thus is super annoying when you're trying to move things out of your unit during January when it's 5 degrees outside. The exterior card reader to disarm units has been broken for several months. There were times when I literally couldn't get into the facility if the main office was closed. In general the service level provided by the employees is unbelievably poor - to call most of them incompetent is an insult to the word incompetent. Incompetent would be an upgrade in performance for this crew. Most of them act as if you're inconveniencing them if you dare to ask them to pretend to do their job. I would whole-heartedly embrace incompetence over the complete dysfunctionality of the current staff. To top it off, I've been in the office multiple times when employees were extremely sick and figuratively hacking up their lungs. Literally only one person that I dealt with out of about 15 was capable of doing their job at a minimum acceptable level. As I emptied my large unit I requested moving to the one next door with a green "ready for new occupant" sticker on it - I talked to several employees and they told me that unit was currently occupied even though it wasn't. So then I had to move everything to another unit far away, yet another waste of my time. Then they messed up the transfer of my unit - I expressly told them to auto-charge my card on file, but their gross incompetence ensured that - of course - they messed that up and I ended up with a late fee because they didn't set up the bill pay as I requested. I closed out the unit on March 3rd. No doubt I will get a Late Payment reminder in a few weeks because I'm sure they messed up the closeout just like they did everything else over the last 15 months.

During the new construction of the second floor there were metal shavings and dust in my storage unit. Outside of that the price, accessibility, cleanliness, and equipment where all great! I would suggest a overnight access schedule if at all possible but overall it was a great experience.

Lamar lied to me about the third unit and told me it was going to be free because I had the other 2 units and I ended up still paying for the third unit, which was not in my budget, and I had to eventually find someplace to put all the things in the long run anyway. So, no I will not refer anyone to this U-Haul. Overall, Lamar knows he lied to me because all the messages I left for him and all the times I came up there to talk to him he avoided me, THATS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. By then all my stuff was in the units and I had no choice but to leave it there.

1. The maps don't make it easy to navigate from the office to the units in terms of passageways. 2. Staff usually friendly but night staff thought I was undermining them for wanting a receipt. 3. Policy extreme in not providing at least small garbage containers

My unit was infected with roaches. I moved my things out! I would never visit this place again. Call and left several messages with the site manager Carl .. no call backs.. reported the site to corporate

Since I’ve been here with U-Haul I haven’t been able to access my unit especially on the days I really need them I don’t understand how the company expects there customers to pay rent there and they can’t access there items I have not been satisfied at all since I been here

A lot of the time the doors were locked, even during hours they should have been open and most of the panels were inoperable but besides that service was great and Melba was always SUPER helpful

The company was perfect with customer service and l will most highly recommend the company to others, but there was lost of job and other income which resulted in the use of the storage unit and the inability to pay at the time of the move out l will later date take of the bill! l greatly thank the company for the services l received there! best regards! Would rent again!

The guy who helped me was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He gave suggestions to my needs and helped me make some decisions about placement in the unit. He made sure it was on the 1st floor and close to the door.

I would like to say compared to public storage down the street I would give you guys 20 stars most definitely on service, attitude, I will be renting a 3rd unit from you all bcuz I will be moving my items out of public storage asap they don't want to honor their insurance claims, the management is rude to the customers and over charges. Keep up the good work u haul!

I don't have nothing in no or none in a U-haul storage I never have a purpose for a storage whenever I move I take all my things with me.

The storage facility itself was very well lit and maintained. However, I do think that there should be a prorated form of charging a customer if they leave the unit before the end of the month. After speaking with a representative, I found it disturbing that a customer could vacate a unit and not receive any money back while the same unit could be leased to another individual for the full amount, having paid U-Haul 2 times for the same space and time frame. Ingenious.

I've done business with U-Haul storage on and off throughout the years. I love this one. All of them were fine, but this one is outstanding the people they don't rush me they listen to what I have to say. They answer every question and I always feel like a human being when I leave that store employees are awesome. Merci encore.

I am so happy the staff made this transition easy for me. Although my reservation made by customer service was not correct they went beyond to accommodate me and my belongings. Thank you for turning a nightmare of an experience around.
