When I called for general information, when I dropped my car off for the install, and when I picked it up, every U-Haul employee I encountered was friendly, efficient, and helpful. They were honest about the time it would likely take, and then massively over-delivered by doing it much faster than estimated. A very happy customer!

I really appreciated the helpfullness of the manager and the staff. My situation came up unexpectedly and I only had my cash app card with enough on it to complete my reservation. I ended up needing to extend my use of the truck into the following day and the manager was very helpful in finding a solution that allowed me to help my friend escape an abusive relationship. I did not reveal this but Uhaul helped get someone out of that situation and for that I am very greatful

This location has more than once given me dirty vehicles and I have felt like an inconvenience to the staff. I am not sure if they are always under staffed, but that has been the feeling when going to this specific location.

The storage access hours are all messed up. The U-Haul website shows storage access hours as 5am-10pm Monday-Sunday. The front door of the office building also says 5am - 10pm. I showed up at 7 pm on a Sunday after a 12 hour drive looking to unload my trailer in pre checked in unit. I swiped my card and continually got access denied. Turns out there storage hours are different the website. Ended up having to drive the entire loaded truck back to my hotel and return in the morning. Wasted so much of my time. Another time I called and asked what the hours were for storage access, and they told me I should be able to get to my locker anytime...what's going on here??

I reserved a 15 foot U-HAUL online. When I arrived at the store at my assigned time, I was told that they did not have any 15 ft trucks available. After 10 minutes of back and forth between the employee and the manager, I was told that I should rent a 10 foot truck because it was the only way I would be able to return the truck in the new city I was moving to. After renting the 10 foot truck, I moved (though I really could have used the extra 5 ft of moving space). When I went to return the truck at the location near my apartment, I was told I would have to drive an hour back to the original renting spot because they could not take the truck. U-HAUL cost me and friends extra several hours by making us drive back and forth. We also spent 2x as much on gas for both the U-Haul and the car that had to follow along. They did not save my reservation, nor the updated drop off location, and this caused us major inconveniences throughout an already stressful moving day.

The equipment (including truck) were much older than I expected with the hitches on the trailer being super rusted. It was a little difficult to get them off and dismount my car. Staff was very nice, equipment was sufficient, just not what I expected for $1300.

I wouldn't trust these rooms with anything valuable, they are locked with a thin latch that could be defeated with a small crow bar in a second. Thin wooden doors. Also half my belongings were covered in a white paint dust when I opened the unit. The employees are good though.

terrible. access code didn’t work. customer service mentioned that i wouldn’t need to talk to anyone on site to check in. i arrive at 5am and codes don’t work. customer service then said that i’ll need to talk to someone, and they can’t do anything. this derailed my plans. i’ll took my business to Public Storage and they helped me out within 15 mins, on early sunday morning. will not be coming back here and will be telling others to do the same. do better uhaul!

The gentleman who "checked me in" to my storage unit was not familiar with the storage units we had to look at several different units before he could find one for me. I dropped off the trailer I had rented at the I eBay Uhaul in Seattle Washington on Sunday October 20th the person did not have me sign anything I am concerned that my rental return was not documented. Schools I do something more to be sure that the trailer that I returned was documented ? In addition the person helping me on Sterday October 19 at the Interbay Uhaul location in Seattle Wa. Say d that the "system" he was using at that Uhaul location was charging me $30 his assistant was able to VOID the charge. I want to be sure that was voided as the first month free storage on the one way trailer rental is applied to me. Other than that I was helped by several people at the three locations in Oregon with the installation of my hitch they installed on my vehicle in Beaverton Oregon although they had the Hitch at that location the wiring was not available there. I drove to Portland the next day to "pick up" the correct parts then drove to the Salem Oregon location where they installed the wiring kit I had purchased at the Portland Oregon location. All of the individuals in Oregon were VERY HELPFUL !!! Not so much at the Seattle location. I do have the names of all of the kind and very helpful people in Oregon especially those who helped me at the BEAVERTON OREGON hitch installation location and at the Salem Oregon location whom installed the wiring kit. I will find their names and be sure to let Uhaul know their names as these individuals went ABOVE and BEYOND excellent service. Making my experience with Uhaul a pleasure !!

Cleaned out my storage unit and went into the office to close my account and neither of the two employees knew how to complete the service. They made a phone call to then find out they didn't even have the permissions to close my account. Had to leave my information to be contacted the next day by other employees, who I never heard from. Getting this link to a move-out review is the only indicator that I've been closed out. So incredibly mediocre.

Oh my, where to begin? Renting from this facility was the single worst choice I made during this move. Absolutely dreadful. I was given a passcode to enter after hours. I hired movers to unload my truck. The passcode did not work (I later discovered that this was an error on the part of the manager at the facility, who was helpful after the fact, but freely admitted to having 'screwed up'). I called every number available to me, described my dilemma, and got transferred, hung up on, and at one point, transferred to the police. I was waiting until nearly 1am for assistance, none came. My movers had to be paid ($280), which I fully expect to be repaid to me by U-Haul. I have tried everything to get my money back and have not heard from Corporate, nor have they returned my calls. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and absolute ineptitude of all of the after-hours customer service personnel created not only a very expensive mistake that was 100 % preventable, but a dangerous one. The area where this storage facility is located is extremely dangerous. I witnessed a drug deal while there. I parked my still full truck in their lot and left to go back to Salem. I was told by the manager there that they would provide assistance with unloading my truck so I didn't have to pay movers again (I'm elderly and disabled, on a fixed income). The manager asked a friend to help unload and he was older and more disabled that I am! He did a little unloading, and I gave my still unopened lock to the manager, Curtis. He was kind and tried to help me, but also could not get any district or general managers to return his calls and when he did, he was told differing things. When I arrived the next day to move my things to a better place, the key to my lock had gone missing. Curtis ended up having to cut my lock off, while my new movers waited outside. I ended up having to pay more movers and move my items to an actually secure facility across the street (Public Storage) that, incidentally, is significantly cheaper than the U-Haul at Inter Bay, for a much larger, more secure unit that includes elevators. The storage units themselves are basically useless, as they are made of plywood and are easily broken into. There was at least one that had been kicked in that I saw. This is not a secure facility! Do not store ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT in this place, and God help you if you require assistance after-hours! The website is deceptive, so be careful. "Split Level" appears to refer to the units, but it means there are stairs you have to go up to get to your unit, no elevator or ramp of any kind. The unit I had wasn't tall enough for me to stand in, and I'm only 5'4". Stay away from this place. There are so many storage places in Seattle, and most of them don't have plywood doors.

The lady who took my reservation was very helpful with helping me book my trunk and she immediately had answers for all my questions. When I arrived to this Uhaul location the nice gentleman behind the counter was very helpful as well. The staff were all very friendly and the lady who helped me book my reservation she gave me a tour of the storage units which were a lot smaller than I thought they would be but she was going to work with me if I needed a smaller storage unit as well which I was pleased to hear because moving is a pain. Thankfully I was able to fit everything in one larger unit instead of 2 units. It's rare now a days to find great customers service especially in this line of business where it seems like people are not grateful. I hate moving and I tend to get overwhelmed easily so I want to say "THANK YOU" to all the staff members at the Interbay UHAUL location for helping me pull my life together.

I purchased a storage unit online the day of move-in. When I got to the unit, after office hours but during access hours, my unit had a lock on it that was from the U-Haul office. This lock, and any instructions about the lock were not mentioned at all in the materials I received when purchasing the unit. I was on the phone with customer service for 40 minutes with 3 different agents, all of whom said the lock was not supposed to be there. None of them could help me get into the unit or transfer to a different unit. I ended up having to leave and come back the next morning which was an extreme inconvenience for me and my friends helping me move. Come to find out, this particular U-Haul location started putting locks on their units because of a recent break in, so you have to come in person during office hours to get the lock removed and get a special key card. None of this was mentioned during the online purchase, there's obviously a major communication problem between corporate and individual locations, and unfortunately the customers have to pay the price for that. Not dealing with U-Haul again if I can help it, don't want to take the chance on another blunder

There was water leaking from the garage door into the building all the time. The storage unit was also not true to the size advertised, as there was a beam cutting into the 9x5 space, making the allowable storage space smaller.

The staff took really good care of me on both days I was in there, even though they were slammed. I am really appreciative of their professionalism and patience and flexibility...they took time to make sure I got what I needed. I told my friend all this and she agreed - said that she too has had exceptional service at that same location.

Kendra and her staff were amazing! Expect pricing comparable to area storage facilities but the friendly, really helpful team made moving in very easy just when I needed a bit of help. Merci.

You probably know that this facility has been a nightmare for a number of years. I had a storage unit there for a year and a half and the few times I was there (picking up moving boxes, etc.) you had been some of the most bizarre, angry and unprofessional people working AND it was always a huge disorganized mess. Your computer system is completely inadequate for the volume of business you do at that store! The person waiting on me Saturday said he had been brought in to clean up the mess but the office and store area is still trashed and you seem to be understaffed. However, he was professional and friendly - a huge improvement. I can't answer the questions about available hours and up until Saturday I would have rated everything beyond poor- it felt dangerous. So, some of my comments are shaded by the unprecedented experiences I had in the past.. NOTE: I hadn't been at the site August 2019. I would say your grade would be NI - needs improvement. (but much better than the past)

The storage unit was great until they lost my padlock key and had to saw off their lock. When they switched to an access box outside the building, they never told me about it so I never had a code.

Severely understaffed system wouldn't let me check in to a storage room after we had moved all our boxes in so we had to take it out & move it to another room in higher level. Was there for 3 hours!

There were difficulties in communicating the time and availability of our uboxes. Depending on with whom we talked, we got a different story. However, everyone was willing to be flexible and helped.

The lock hardware on my unit was misaligned which made getting into the unit a pain. The employees were hit or miss- a few of the employees absolutely made me day and others were very apathetic.

Smooth experience loading my U-Box and having it shipped across country. Needed some extra hands to unload and was able to contract someone through U-Haul. Would definitely recommend!

The facilities were disgusting. I quickly paid an extra few hundred dollars to have movers remove my belongings from Uhaul. Staff overworked, undertrained, unpleasant. Pods and trailers blocked entry.
