Not enough equipment to use to take furniture to elevator

My account was on auto pay and CURRENT, and you changed my lock WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME. This means someone had access to the contents of my unit for an undisclosed time and could have been unattended, exposing my unit and its contents to whoever walked down that hallway. UNACCEPTABLE! I will NEVER use your company again for ANYTHING!

Lonnel was extremely helpful, professional, and made the move in experience easy and efficient. I had a cross country trek and this was the easiest portion thanks to Lonnel. 10/10. I saw him save an elderly woman from crossing the street too early and assist in putting out a fire in the parking lot. Truly a man of the people. He deserves a raise. 10 % ownership in the company would be lovely touch as well. Godspeed Lonnel, you're both a scholar and a gentleman.

We waited over 3 hours all units they sent us to had a lock on them. The u haul Tru k was dirty had dog foot prints plus stuff that looks like came out BBQ pit. And couldn't return my cash deposit cause he said system was done. Charged me for 10 miles only went 4 miles. Never use that location again.

i will be telling everyone i know to use home depot instead of u haul. your employees are incompetent and care more about their phones and hitting on women then doing their actual jobs. you people allegedly have training maybe it’s time to reevaluate the specificity and validity of your training because none of your workers know what’s happening or how to help people. overall useless and will not be using or recommending to anyone

We arrived at the U-Haul facility at 9:00 AM. The person there did not open the door until approximately 5 to 10 minutes after 9 AM. There were three people waiting. I explain we had a reservation for storage and rental return several times to a 10x 20 unit which was free for 30 days because we rented a 26foot U-Haul truck. He spent over and hour of saying he couldn't find the reservation, couldn't find a 10x20 unit and how U-Haul system was so horrible; he asked Fred to help him. Fred was great and tried to come up with a solution. He typed the name in and the reservation came up immediately. However, we were assigned a 10x15 unit with a huge pipe in the unit. We were the assigned another unit 5x10. It had someone's property stored in it. We were assigned unit 4271 and Fred repaired the lock on the unit 4273 so that we could use it. However, it was 11AM by then. To make matters worse we had hired a crew to unload and had to pay them while we waited for your team to find a unit. I was not happy with the way the assistant store manager spoke with me. His attitude was it was not his problem… it was your company's problem. This was not a good experience and I would tell anyone…. Not to deal with U-Haul.

One of the only people working there on Saturday, June 8, and the only person working on Sunday, June 9 was high on some substance and uncommunicative. They did not respond to calls and was not able to operate the system or solve any issue. They swore non-stop, were unprofessional, and was not able to clearly respond to questions or inquiries. There was another worker on Saturday. She was the only one who knew how to operate the system and was helpful. We do not feel safe with our belongings in this storage facility, nonetheless. I will not use this service and will not be recommending it to others.

I made a complaint over the phone . Supervisor at this location is extremely unprofessional. Please get a new supervisor (black man look like he is is 40-55 years old ) I was not allowed to use the storage and was told I NEVER TOLD HIM I HAD A RESERVATION/BOOKING even though I told him 5 TIMES . The supervisor on duty was too busy FLIRTING with another customer in side the store and EATING CHIP AT THE REGISTER which is why I couldn't be assisted In a professional manner . Very poor customer service for the 418 SOUTH TUCKER LOCATION AND ITS GHETTO . HE PUT ME OUT THE STORAGE PLACE because he didn't hear what I said about my reservation 5 times . And instead of just taking accountability and saying he didn't hear me or wasn't paying attention . He told me to stop talking before he put me out . I told him I didn't do anything wrong . He just doesn't know how to have a BE A SUPERVISOR WITHOUT LETTING IT GO TO HIS HEAD . It's no way an argument should start just because I said I have a reservation . It's not much to say when coming in . Idk how it turned into an argument. He never asked me for a confirmation number, email, phone number, NOTHING AT ALL REGARDING MY BOOKING OR RESERVATION. He just kept trying to make me a reservation. Then got mad because I said I already have one . HE SAID I NEVER TOLD HIM THAT ***I know I told him and the other guy 5 times between the two of them . I will never book U-Haul again because of him . I get a U-Haul's every time I move and it has never been a problem . But for some reason yesterday at 418 S Tucker STL, Mo HE (THE SUPERVISOR ON DUTY WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHOULDNT BE A SUPERVISOR FOR ANYONES COMPANY . He will run you're customers off . I also have a 6 figure business so I'm well aware of how customer service is very important and if he worked for my company I wouldn't demore him or fire him. His behavior was UNACCEPTABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, GHETTO, and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I literally left the store in TEARS. He also made my day delayed. Due to him not letting me use the storage and had to call customer service to rebook a storage bin . ALL MY MOVERS THAT I PAID TO HELP ME LEFT BECAUSE IT WAS PAST THE TIME FOR THEM TO GO. So I had to pay more ppl to help which is a inconvenience because I am on a budget. His actions caused me to lose money as well . So I will not be returning if this issue is not addressed properly . He also told me HE DONT CARE IF I CALL CORPORATE OR CUSTOMER SERVICE HE SAID ***HE IS CORPORATE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ITS NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO TO HIM

Kenneth has worked with me in the past as well as my son. This Sunday I watch him handle three customer just after he was finishing me and his colleague was going on break... say around 11:30 am. I had very little room to maneuver (can't back a trailer in for shit). They asked me to leave the trailer somewhere they'd grab it later. I called to check in the trailer and they said I was all good. The next day I got called asking about the trailer, and I told them I'd dropped it the day before. The following day I got ANOTHER phone call asking about the trailer, which I'd turned in 2 full days prior. U-haul's left hand has no idea what the right is doing. I didn't enjoy having to explain myself multiple times. The personnel were nice enough, but the turn-in process is not effective and the facility is the kind of place I'd never go after dark.

Customer service was horrible from the front desk, I waited so long the manager gave me a discount, no one showed me my unit so I didn't see my unit u til everyone was gone and it is too small for my things and I also did not receive my lock to my storage to lock my storage. I had to leave my storage unlocked and unsecured this was all one persons fault and she does not need to be working the front desk. She was so unprofessional and I have her to thank for mt horrible experience.

Anthony at the front desk is completely unprofessional. He charged me $435 for insurance that I did not want or need. When I asked him to credit my account (which was a 30-day rental, so was pretty expensive), he would not do it and was a jerk about it. I have been passed around from person to person at U-Haul trying to get this resolved and am extremely frustrated. I rent vans and trucks a lot for my company and this was my first time ever using U-Haul and will most certainly be my last since this process has become a complete nightmare. Not one person has been helpful through his process.

There needs to be different signs that says exactly where to drop it off. It is in a alleyway that leads to a parking lot where you can not turn around at. There are cars and trucks going through and it blocks any way out or in. This is the worst drop-off location I've ever seen. There was no one at this location to help ortell you where to go or unhook the trailer from the truck. They told me to drop the trailer were ever it was. This is a very bad choice for a location

I had a small issue with my move out day. The exterior door to access the building would not open for me to clean out. I went to the office the next day after work. Not everyone was friendly. Most times when I would come in w/ questions or needing serious help as far as getting the xtra lock off of my storage, or wanting to add a PIN code to access. They would have me wait for over 20+ minutes w/out any communication what so ever. Other than that I do appreciate the Manager Anthony! He has made his effort to help out quick and efficiently. Thank you to him. Everyone else needs to fix their attitude ! You all are dealing with the public constantly. It would be great if you put your pride to the side and realize where you are, which is WORK !

It was a great experience, until the rental of a cargo van. The personnel couldn't find the key to the original one contracted to me....he did look for the key, even though that was time consuming. So, therefore, he had to contract me out a different van. Otherwise, my experience was excellent! The rental unit is large enough for my stuff. And a couple of my neighbors has interest in your rental units. I passed on your business cards to them both. Hope all goes well with them, too. Thanks U-Haul!!!

Only issue was me cold t find the keys to lock storage and I ask to get it cut off thy said no but I call a locksmith you really can’t damage a strove unit cutting off a lock you want me to pay a locksmith is just crazy to me it’s all about money cause workers should’ve cut it off or allowed me to cut it off and or charge me to for cutting it but I ended finding it I had movers ready that day and to pay them for no work done was a waste to me it was there only availability but next day was a success just with son being off work moved it all by home self overall it was great to have you guys for that 1mt and few days thank you

This uhaul location had water leaking from their pipes damaged my stuff, when I informed them of the water leaking and damaged it caused. Uhaul failed to move me from the unit. I on travel overseas and had to make arrangements for people to remove my items left in unit. Never again will I ever use this facility again and recommend anyone who asks to use this facility. I am retired military veteran and will recommend all stations not to let soldiers use this facility.

Staff member was Very Very Rude and made Everyone that was standing in the office counter like he was a violent man, he had short dreads and piercings and dark skinned, he came in and said the doors should be locked and they should ve going home, when myself and two other people had be in there waiting for hours to get helped, he had Everyone Very Uncomfortable and wanting to leave as fast as possible, when he came in he sat in the chair by the window and grabbed the phone from the person helping me when he was helping me and then took it from the white woman and sat back down while the bald head agent asked him to help complete my truck rental and he said after he finished what he was doing, But keep complaining about why they were not closed eventually I left with a rental contract without a truck and the other two people got token care of and left with a truck, while i didn't because he wouldn't help bald dude complete my rental

The facility was okay. The staff were horrendous. They were not attentive at all. As someone who visited my unit often, they were extremely dismissive and unhelpful. They were often on their phones, listening to loud music or watching videos. Whenever asked a question, or if they had something, even the simplest things they would also refer me to someone in the back room, if someone was at the desk they never could actually assist, it was very odd for them to have to always defer me, it felt like they simply didnt want to help and I always felt brushed off.

My experience with you guys was great until I fell behind on payments and everytime I had enough fees were tacked on. For the past year I haven't had a stable home or job. I've been battling crippling anxiety and depression. I struggled to do even the simplest things like make a phone call. I came into the store in Jan trying to make a payment. The man said I couldn't do partial only full but that my stuff was safe forever since I had Been in. I assumed that was a lie. I know ultimately it's my fault, and this is just another thing I've messed up. But that was my entire life all my photos, all that was left from my now dead mother. Gifts she gave me letters she wrote me. Things that I know whoever bought it just trashed. It really hurts my heart. that's how it works you can't pay you lose it and if it was going to just be trashed why couldn't I have it?. I hate how when you're poor everything is designed to make you lose even more. can't. I literally just got a new great paying job and that week was going to come back in to try to work something out. I was actually feeling hopeful thinking of being able to get a place and have all my things back. But I worked late everyday and mixed up the date of the auction and when I came in it was already over and the guy said there was nothing I could do. But none of it was really even mine to begin with. everything is temporary and it only hurts because I was attached to it. The more we cling to something the more it's going to hurt when it's gone. Maybe I can learn from. And if I have nothing, lost it all.then there's nothing to be sad about losing.

He takes pride in this facility and does the work of 3 people!! He is always so pleasant and has solutions to whatever problem we may have thought we were going to have. He is wonderful and I hope the owner (if he's not the owner) knows what a jewel of an employee they have and makes sure they keep him.

The manager Erston always was helpful in every way not just to me but to all others I witness. He made sure that those that work as his counterparts the mission of working and being a part of this U-Haul location. The storage facility was always secure and clean before I got a unit, while my items were stored in the unit and even afterwards. I never even saw dust ever. I always saw workers cleaning the storage facility. I truly am honored and feel as though it was a privilege to have stored my items there until I moved. There was a time I did not lock my unit correctly and was called immediately to address that matter. That's what I call exceptional customer service! Thank you to everyone in helping me feel safe, secure and knowing that my unit was always clean and pest/rodent free seeming that it is an old building!

I WAS TOLD BY THE MANAGER THAT SINCE MY STORAGE WAS ABOUT EMPTY THAT I COULD COME AND GET THE COUPLE OF THINGS OUT WITHOUT PAYING AND I INFORMED HER THAT I WOULD BE COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN WHERE I NOW LIVE. I GET THERE ON SUNDAY AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO PAY THE STORAGE FEES.IT WAS COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND FINANCES.

This place was out of sight and right on time. The staff was uber helpful and ready to assist me at the drop of a hat. Derond was the young man who helped me. He was a grade-A worker.

Oct. 2023 -- I retained a storage unit in Sept. 2015 and was pleased from the beginning with it. First, I like the fact that the location is within a renovated building. Secondly, I like the easy access in the covered parking area and the level of security provided. Finally, there have been different managers over the years, but the current manager, Erston Mallet is far and away the best of those managers. He is a friendly, organized and helpful leader there. Using U-Haul Storage has been a great experience, so much so that I have retained another unit in another state where I'm moving. Je la recommande fortement.

I had to keep my U-Haul moving truck for an extra day. Due to the U-Haul storage having an malfunction at the door that wouldn't allow customers to enter there storage units. Then the next day I get there to realize that I have to walk and catch a elevator to unload a 24 inch truck. I was completely destroyed about the whole experience. I have a negative balance that I owe U-Haul due to the service that I received from you guys company. I will never refer you guys to anyone as in regards to a storage or a moving truck. My whole experience with U-Haul was horrible and pricey due to poor communication and organization.

When coming to my move-out the staff was not very helpful very disappointed he didn't answer my question he acted like he didn't no what to do I was leaving and ran into the guy that helped me day one he took me back to the counter he helped me with my questions I was satisfied I forget there names

We found better storage for nearly 1/3 the price at U-Haul. Plus, the floor we were on had no A/C. PLUS, I received a notice regarding auctioning our possessions if acct not current!. After I called, the office confirmed the account was current ... on an auto-pay, knew it was ... "Oops, so sorry!". Well, you ought to be. Done with U-Haul.

Excited to be using this uhaul but a little upset with my experience trying to get into the building/my unit last night though. :-( I had the bed of my truck full of my daughter's things and it was raining like crazy off and on cold nasty weather so I really needed to get her stuff inside so it didn't hey ruined but unfortunately was never able to actually get into the building. Someone had said they closed at 8pm and I I distinctly remember chosing this place bc their storage access hours were supposed to be until 10pm. Wondering why this was not mentioned to me during the actual renting process.

I have never stepped foot into the place, the reason for my rating is because the way my cancellation was handled was inappropriate. Now I have to wait another week to get a refund back I should have already recieved because the manager at this location didnt process my refund, until friday when we talked on monday. Noone told me I had to check out from the storage unit on my end to officially process the return. But all I got from the manager is no receipt, he just said you will be getting a refund. No confirmation email until I called on friday, which is when i was informed the refund was just processed that morning. Also had to pay for my truck rental twice, because even though the first month was supposed to be free, after the fact I found out I actually was charged. Would not recommend
