Pick up was confusing, I didn't realize I might get a new pick up location after choosing one when I reserved a truck. So we went to the wrong location, but they were so helpful and got us a truck so we didn't have to go to the other location. My suggestion would be to be more clear that the REQUEST for a location may differ than where you actually assign us. Also, the tire pressure was way above recommended psi, so it didn't drive as well as it should have.

It appeared only one person was working, and he was great. He was very helpful in checking in and hooking up the trailer. He helped me detach/put away right when he noticed I had pulled in. I appreciated his help.

Staff onsite was friendly and helpful. I don't enjoy using the app to pick out the rental equipment. I understand it's meant to sell Uhaul products and equipment but it was just annoying. However returning the equipment was very easy through the app

Please take the time to explain the features on your new vans. I put $45 and the fuel gauge did not seem to function the way I thought it should. I think I was overcharged at this particular site. Otherwise the people who checked out the car were very polite. When the van was returned, the guy who checked it in was very unprofessional overall.

I personally don't like really busy downtown areas for pickup so personally would rather choose the Atlas avenue location but also I wish that location got the items we requested several hours earlier and would have had a quicker pickup and return.

I rented a 17' truck. They didn't have any so the lady on the phone switched it to a 15' truck, but what I actually got was a 10' truck, which didn't have the utility dolly in it. It would have been better if I could call the store directly without needing to change the reservation by proxy.

I terminated my contract on January 29th for a rented parking space. I had paid for the month (through February 22nd). The coordinator indicated that the spot was going to be rented immediately, though I had paid to rent the space through February 22nd. I explained that I felt it would be appropriate that my monthly payment be prorated as he indicated that it would be rented immediately. He explained that he could not pro-rate my month's rent since he had already closed out the rental agreement. I asked if I returned to park my car during the month of February where I should park my car and he stated that I could park in employee parking or some equivalent. I felt that this could be handled better or more appropriately. I would appreciate a follow up, and if indeed the space has been rented, proration is the appropriate course of action whether or not it is convenient for the UHaul coordinator. Mobile check in and check out experience was terrible. The truck was not in the location the app said when I went to pick it up. It was buried behind several other trucks and the keys were not in the lock box. A customer service person at the location helped, which was appreciated but the process was terrible. Then, at drop off, the drop off key box was broken. Fortunately, the office was still open and I could hand the keys to some one but that is not the way this process is supposed to work. So, would I recommend? Yes but I would recommend against using the mobile pick up or drop off.

The both was sitting outside when i arrived, never went inside so i didn't know how it looked. They said they would enter the info into the system later. Emani and other guy who said he was the GM for that location.

Get some of the check-in photos done before arriving. More marked spaces for U-haul customer parking. Mention that the boxes and equipment would already be loaded in the truck.

I waited for a long time before anyone helped me. They gave me the truck with a half-empty fuel tank, which is just dumb. I ended up getting charged because I didn't quite get it back to half full, even though I used the estimator on the contract.

Nothing. Staff was friendly and efficient. I suspect in UW moving weeks or end/beginning of summer months the store has challenges, thus the lower Google ratings. However, our experience was very good in late September.

The good news is that the team member who took care of us was AWESOME! Fast, friendly, solved problems with a grin. I'd work with him every day! The bad news is I made a point to make a reservation for a four-wheel car hauler and it wasn't at the location. We took the two-wheel dolly which worked well enough to haul the junked car we were moving but it definitely created more work than I wanted to deal with (which is why I reserved the four-wheel hauler). Not sure why I bothered making a reservation at all if you guys can't get the right equipment to the location with a couple days notice.

The manager called me after making my reservation on line and was so friendly and helpful to see if I had questions or concerns. If I ever needed storage space again I would totally go through U-haul!

Workers were courteous. Reserved a unit but none available despite reservation. Offered me a "cage" on the basement and it was horrible. Actually cancelled my reservation and luckily the nice employee understood and refunded me (still awaiting receipt). Wasn't desperate enough to use that dump and probably would have resulted in trashing all my things.

This was a great place to store things for my son while in college. Convenient location, easy access. So glad there was an opening when we needed it!

I payed for a parking spot for my car. You towed my car from the spot I payed for and did not contact me about it. You cost me thousands of dollars and would not answer your phone after calling repeatedly.

Moving day in Madison is so difficult, but the workers at this UHaul made it genuinely so much more manageable. They were consistently helpful and thoughtful, as well as thoroughly professional. They were happy to give advice when I asked and made the process go smoothly. I had a storage unit as well as a van and the storage unit was accessible 24/7 which made it so much easier to work after the heat of the day had subsided. The van was clean and convenient and ready immediately. Thank you, UHaul!

While staying in Madison WI for a couple months, I received a parking ticket from the city within only 48 hours despite street parking being disastrously short, thanks to unclear rules and zealous police. Melissa really helped me out with getting long term, safe parking at a fair price. Merci.

The employees were extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions. They were able to give me some great recommendations for how best to move my stuff into the storage unit. Plus the facility was clean and easy to maneuver in.

They show pictures of beautiful clean storage units with those bright orange doors. Most of their units are in the "basement" with concrete floors, mouse traps in the units, mold/water damage on the back wall of the unit, all in metal caged fences. When I walked in, the staff were rude to the customer in front of me. Told him "they only thing you can do is 800 Uhaul". I went up next, and was told my unit wasn't ready at 10am. Came back in 2 hours, still wasn't ready. Came back in 1 hour and finally was given my unit. The lady was friendlier by then. Another woman was on the phone with someone she knew and eating chips while customers were waiting. One workers' young daughter was in with a "sitter" hanging around. Then I saw this worker go out the front door and use her dab pen. My suggestion is a rental unit should be booked until the end of the month at 12am! Then the next reservation for the month starts on the 1st when they open! This place needs a little restructuring!

Parking my car here was great except one caveat. Sometimes they'd rent out spaces for event parking, so on those days when I happened to go out, sometimes I could not find a spot to park.

I want to note, the staff that helped me with my on Friday were friendly, helpful and professional. The guy on Saturday was rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful to myself and every other customer. I moved furniture into my storage unit and the elevator doesn't work, which is something that should've been mentioned before I got the unit.

Only complaint I have is that I had to walk into the U-Haul facility to have my question answered. The phone tree for this store blocked me from reaching a live human. But once I interacted with a live human from U-Haul, things went very well.

Storing boats/vehicles outside should be more secure with at least fencing around the property to deter vandalism. Will be looking for storage of my boat elsewhere soon.

There only 1 MAIN issue I have. There is an old style elevator and its almost never working. Also its a manual type which make it very hard to use. It would be great if it was electric instead, but mainly every time I went there it was NOT working at all.. Especially people tend to move bulky heavy things so an electric one would be a necessity in my opinion.

The basement storage unit that I used for three months over the summer must have had a water leak and so when I went to retrieve my items the ground was covered with mold. I lost all of my furniture.

Do NOT allow people to reserve units online and then send a confirmation that they have a reserved unit if you can not guarantee it!

The fact that it was even proposed to convert a building with a manual freight elevator into storage space is absurd. If I'd known that particular in advance, I wouldn't have rented the space.
