Almost 1 hour wait to pick up and when renting because of its location it caused a line of traffic on the street that backed up far back without moving. Also apps needs lots of improvements!

I was told that I had reserved a one way trailer and would have to pay double. I just wanted to get going after it took over 30 minutes to check out. I was told where the trailer was and someone would be out to help me hook it up. I found the trailer hooked it up and in 20 plus minutes no one ever showed up. I just left. After done with the trailer I called support to find out where to drop off the trailer. They were super helpful and corrected my issues but then needed to return the trailer back to the same location. I pulled into the return area and someone met me and asked me to pull it around behind the building and he would meet me back there. Again I'm waiting for him to come out. After again waiting several minutes he shows up eating an ice cream treat. Glad to see I was a priority for them. They just seem to have no care for the customer.
JAMES GPlanned my entire month around getting a hitch installed and moving using my trailer to move and close on a property. U-Haul called after 3 1/2 hours and said they didn't have the parts to do a simple electrical hookup and nobody nearby did either. Just a basic van. So, the weekend plans are shot. I'd never return. Service was slow. Unapologetic. Unexplainably terrible experience. Awful & ridiculous.

Ronald RI dropped off after hours and the place was very crowded and it was very confusing about figuring out where I should park. There was hardly enough room to drive the truck around for a parking spot. Either signage for best drop off place or a less crowded driveway would be helpful.

We went to check in to our unit last Saturday, we found our unit and were on the app, when we got to it, it had a lock on it. We had to go to the front desk, and they had no idea what was going on or why. They offered to cut off the lock, but likely there is already someone elses stuff in there, so I asked for a different unit, which they provided and said it would update on the app. However that didn't happen, so I am still getting charged for the unit I'm not using and I don't know if they even know if someone is paying for the unit I am currently in. Meanwhile, the people behind us had also reserved a dolly, and they didn't have one to give despite the reservation. They never apologized or tried to make it right, they just told them to go somewhere else if they weren't satisfied. That place is a hot mess. It needs a new manager for sure.

VITOJ MAnthony did a phenomenal job! He is very professional, hard-working, has a great attitude, and knowledgeable. In the midst of a very busy day (it is the weekend that many of the nearby colleges and universities are moving out, so there were many other customers there), he kept positive, professional, and efficient. Not to take away from the other employees, as they also appeared to have positive attitudes. But, Anthony checked me in, installed the hitch, and finalized my payment.
Jason CPersonnel was somewhat helpful at the St. Paul, MN location except at the end when no one was outside to show us where to park the trailer upon return. That was a bit confusing, so we unhooked the trailer and just dropped it off in the enclosed parking lot. Because this was a massive UHaul facility in St. Paul, it was a bit chaotic. However, I highly recommend UHaul for small moves.

Nafula NThey did not follow the manufacture or Uhaul's instructions on how to install this hitch. The instructions call for a small 1"x10" and 5,5x3,5 rectangle in the fascia, instead all fascia was removed and the bumper was hacked away from end to end.

JAMES SA younger UHUAL employee was not very helpful at helping me set up a motorcycle trailer. This was my first time attempting to tow a trailer. At first, they were sort of dismissive and did not have an approachable attitude. I shrugged it off since I assumed they must have been tired or shy. I was instructed to go to the back to wait for the trailer set up. He never showed up. No one showed up. I was able to figure it out but it would have been helpful to have someone help me through it. I feel like they were careless and unsupportive. I hope the management and employees can be more supportive to their customers to ensure safety and reliability.

Sofia NEmployees were lazy and not eager to assist nor explain the pickup process or charges on my bill. Staff attempted to add a $100 charge without explaining and refused to retrieve the mattress bag that was paid for online and showed ineptitude with their own computer software. Also failed to place dolly or furniture pads into the truck ahead of time because "they were all the way in the back", and quoted prices significantly higher than the initial online quote. Very unsatisfactory experience, and I would appreciate management reaching out to me about this very low-quality experience.

GARY OIt took me over 30 minutes to pick up my vehicle. For starters, the on-line check in takes long enough that someone came out and had me come in instead. I reserved a cargo van. That's what I wanted. However, for some reason the guy checking me in gave me a 10' truck. At one point he even said 10' truck and I corrected him with "van". That apparently didn't register because he still assigned a truck to me. So when I was given the paperwork and a vague notion of where my vehicle was, I searched for a van, checked all the license plates and vehicle numbers, but none matched my paperwork. So I had walk all the way back to the customer desk to find out where my "van" was. I was then told it was down the alley and I said there are no vans down there, only trucks and they said I have a truck. By this time I was already running late and couldn't take the time to have them correct it so I just went and got the truck. The truck was not clean. There were remnants of twine and such left over from the last person who rented it and the radio was blasting so chances are no one even started the truck up after the last person rented it, unless they were deaf. After I got home to pick up my items I realized that I couldn't take one of the items I wanted to because it is a big stained glass panel and I didn't trust the truck suspension to not shatter it while driving. THAT'S WHY I WANTED A VAN! Because I was running so late, I didn't have time to come up with some type of better padding to use. If I reserve a van, I WANT A VAN! And seriously, how many times do I have to say I don't want your stupid insurance before you understand? Are you just trying to piss off your customers and make an already way too involved check-in process even longer?

DEREK NOverall experience fine. Long distance moving is expensive. I am unsettled because I was offered a "VIP ticket" if I'm saying it correctly. Any how, it's a credit that I would use for storage. My units arrived the 17th. Meaning I would not use the storage for an entire month. I paid my entire bill prior to the 17th and tried to use this "VIP". I was told by the uhaul representative told it's too soon. I had to wait until the charges for the storage posted to to my account. Now these charges posted after I paid my full bill of $2 000 and something. Some days later the chargers for $199 which was the storage showed up on my account. I then called trying to use this "VIP" again and was told " oh it's too late, the charges have posted to your account" I explained the whole thing to a representative who says she would take care of it. She never called me back, no one knows anything about refunding me my $199. Don't offer it if you not gonna honor it.

After I returned the truck and was told everything was good to go, got my receipt via email 2 hours later and was accidentally charged 2000 dollars more than I should have been because somebody entered the mileage wrong when charging me. This was obviously awesome because my bank account got overdrafted.

PETER SEverything as expected. One comment from the last two rentals, I do not like the gas tank not being full when I pick it up and I am expected to have it full when I return it.. I don't know how much to put in to get the guage back to "one line above half". Especially when the gauge doesn't have the same markings as the contract. This process seems like some end up paying way more to refuel while others may not refuel at all.

I secured a storage unit in August 2024 with the intention of staying for just one month, which unexpectedly extended to three months. Initially, I did not purchase insurance due to insufficient funds on my card, but I secured coverage in September. Recently, when I went to retrieve my TV from my unit, I was appalled to discover dirt or clay covering my belongings, along with significant mouse droppings that were smelly and damp. Upon investigation, I found that mice had chewed through my bags, resulting in damage to at least half of my items. The storage unit next to mine had a visible issue with their ceiling, suggesting that this problem was likely exacerbated by their situation. I spoke with the manager who directed me to contact Dan, who informed me I could remove my items only after Thanksgiving. I emphasized my need for another unit since the insurance required that I only keep undamaged items. Unfortunately, Carl, who was my point of contact, never returned my calls and is now no longer employed at your facility. Despite the ongoing issues and my need for a different unit, my card was charged for December, and I've received no solution or communication regarding my situation. I find it unacceptable that I am still left with bags in my car that should have been safely stored away. Therefore, I demand a refund for my December payment, as this situation is unfair. Sometimes access to the storage loading bays was limited or blocked completely - at one point, there was a vehicle parked without moving for nearly 24 hours. This was frustrating.

Thankfully we are skilled with moving a trailer around quickly as we had to use the front end of the truck to alert the sensor to open then I had to stand in the doorway keeping the garage from closing by standing in front of the sensor while my husband backed in. It was quite frustrating and when we left we struggled to find how to get out! It took another customer's help to show us where the garage door button was to leave. More signs would be helpful. More signs with less long winded wording would be great too. It was way too much information to take in to figure out what steps we needed to do. I do appreciate how thorough the signs were so I'm not saying get rid of those but maybe a sign saying garage door button here with simple wording. The facility itself is great and felt secure and clean.

joshua t | Premières impressionsWhile the registration for this site was easy online and I got into my space and unloaded my belongings, access to the storage space was not always accessible without having to walk and carry belongings because the pull in spaces were filled. At least three attempts to get access to storage space, I turned around and left. Even on the day to pick up my last belongings, when I arrived all the pull in spaces were full. After first parking, someone pulled out but after I got pulled in, I only ever saw one storage space where a person was sorting belongings - all the while blocking access to others to pull in, and all the other pull in slots were filled with cars as well. For this I have moved storage to another site, where it is pull in and drive thru and I have always had access. Even if the pull in is full of cars ever, access to the elevator is close to my space and the space is twice as large for less money. And more accessible on a route I take several times a week. I am thankful the use of the storage space and have always been happy with UHual but accessibility is important to me. Thank you. While I am required to say yes to office hours and friendly staff, I did not interact with the office or staff during my rental. Rental was handled online only.

I spoke the GM after I contacted the police and he was waiting for it. That was in Oct 2023. Today, no one has returned a call to the police and their request for surveillance video information. This is horrible. I've spoke to a total of 3 people. Over $1300 of items was stolen from my deceased brother & your company who is suppose to offer secure place has done nothing. Very sad situation

That was about 18 months ago and I made one downsize during that time to the unit that I was just able to close, because I finally was able to find a home for everything. But they were great during the entire time when I would visit, when I made the change in unit size, and when I did the termination. The online access and service there was also good during the entire experience.

We ordered a 10x20 unit and was given 2 10×5 units at the back of the facility. I saw numerous units the size we ordered without a lock on them closer to the loading dock. I hired movers that you recommended who were great despite the circumstances but I ended up paying them an extra hour for a half hours of work which would have not been needed if we got what we ordered. I was told that Uhaul provides locks but only one u it had one available. Luckily I brought one of my own.

All the customers were happy because everyone was courtesy and helpful to one another. You rarely see that. I would've thought that people would have been impatient, cutting in front of one another in the bay, parking lot or returning or renting trucks but that wasn't the case at all, the exact opposite 樂 I believe that was due to the outstanding reliance and calm of the staff. The knew the answers to any questions and any problems you had they were quick to resolve it. They went above and beyond.

I spoke to the PM manager William Wiley. He did not ask for any of my information to pull up the reservation and did nothing to ease the concerns I had about securing my items once I finally made it to St Paul. Upon arrival to drop off the one way truck rental I asked for a manager to discuss and note my file regarding the air conditioning not working for the entire trip of near 500 miles and to let someone know that the truck was not running well. As soon as my son and grandson walked into the Uhaul office the employees were told that they were supposed to say that they know nothing if Lisa asks any questions because she is recording everything. The manager repeated this to each employee by yelling this across the store with me and my family standing there. After unloading the truck I spoke with the PM manager Will who didn't pull anything up and didn't seem interested and advised me to go online to submit a complaint. Both experiences were unacceptable and very unprofessional. I plan to move my belongings again asap because they don't feel secure or safe nor does Uhaul deserve my hard earned money.

The storage company then came along and put their own lock on there and did not notify me in any way. They claimed that they called and left messages they did not. When I told him that I needed the lock removed they then proceeded to explain to me their policy multiple times but I did not need to know. When I had called to ask about the situation one lady hung up on me another one called me back 5 minutes later and told me that it wouldn't be a problem to remove the lock and then someone else called me 5 minutes after that to explain the reason for the round lock. They did try to make me purchase the lock that they put on the locker which I refused. When I arrived at the office I asked them to remove the lock and they refused until a random person claiming to be an assistant manager came along. This company denied me access to my unit for reasons I cannot explain. Nowhere anywhere does it say that I must use their lock They delayed me for a week about a policy they didn't mention, and then while I was getting the lock removed they only gave me one key which means that they held on to the second key for that locker. And of course the person who unlocked my locker told me that they had just recently had about 20 break-ins I don't know why you think any would want to use the service at that location

They aren't helpful friendly. Give one word answers and don't offer solutions or suggestions. One staff person opened the door as my teenage daughter was trying to put the truck key in the return slot after we rented a truck & slammed into her… didn't apologize, say excuse me or anything. He just looked her up and down like she'd just hit HIM with the door. The storage unit itself was clean, the temp was correct, access was easy & the overall facility was well maintained, besides their always being u-hauls & the same vehicles parked in the loading bays leaving only 2-3 lanes available for customers. That said, regardless of the facilities - the terrible staff here mean I'll never use or recommend this location.

I received an email from Ethan weeks later saying there was overdue balance and the unit was not paid for which was false since it was already taken care of. I am very unhappy with our experience here and would not recommend anything other than buying boxes.

I am from out of state (Las Vegas NV) so this decision was stressful for me, but they made it easy for me to come to a firm and resolute decision. Josiah even lent me his personal tool set so I could socket wrench apart some of my pieces for storage. This is by far one of the cleanest UHaul Storage facilities I've ever experienced. Every staff member I encountered seemed happy to be there and eager to help. We were locked out during our move in with our unit still open inside with belongings in it. It would have been nice to been given either an announced warning the doors would be locking or at the very least have the time the doors lock posted on the access entry. I do realize that the hours are in the email that is sent but after spending 2 straight days moving a lot of people are not going to read through the email they just want to get finished with their move. Other than that the the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the location is clean and security seems to be a priority. There were also plenty of carts to help get our belongings in.

floyd t | Expérience généraleThis store on como ave in Minneapolis/St. Paul area is advertised as a 24 hr storage unit, so I got there at around 7pm right as the office was closing down for the day, yet I managed to get service and I got to rent a unit for my stuff. However as I was wrapping up my move, I still had just a couple of things to bring when all of a sudden the door locked on me and couldn't come in anymore having to leave a lot of my stuff unattended all thru the night and Im glad nothing got stole, but I feel like this happened because any of the ppl that worked there did not tell me anything about it. That is not even the whole problem. There is a phone number on multiple signs that say to call the gm for after hours service, but the phone would go straight to voicemail making this situation a lot more frustrating and unnecessary that it needed to be. I even called costumer service for help and they couldn't even reach this guy and or couldn't help me at all. I wasted over 3 hours dealing with this that day and at the end I just gave up and left only to come back in the morning just to secure the unit I just rented. You guys need to be more clear about you overnight policy or at least tell your customers about it. That didn't have to be as frustrating and difficult like it was that night/morning. Merci

When I rented the truck and took advantage of the storage unit deal, I asked specifically about 24 hour access. I knew that I would be moving late into the night so this was important. I was told I had 24 hour access. This was not the case. At 10pm the dock sliding doors locked me out. Here I was with a partially loaded truck, carts in the passage near my storage and my storage door open with no access. I pushed the After-Hours intercom button, no answer. I called the After-Hours number for Matt Underwood, no answer and directed right to automated voicemail. I then called the customer service number, obviously no answer there. I then called the alarm company who was able to give me the number to someone else, This person did answer and was able to grant me access. He did explain however that 24-hour access is a PAID service the I did not have. This is something that should have been explained by the counter rep who checked my out. I don't have to explain the stress and concern this experience caused me Since obviously I couldn't simply leave. Perhaps this can be used as a coaching opportunity for your employees.

Dee M | Premières impressionsExcellent security measures and the long access hours is a nice perk. Hallways and loading areas are clean but pest control is lacking. Although the rodent bait traps are present in each unit, I still found a considerable amount of mice droppings inside my unit. Having the normal entrance blocked off by construction makes it difficult to access, which isn't really an issue but it would have been nice to have an announcement sent out with instructions for alternate route access or at least better signs directing people where to go. I wasn't able to reach the office by phone so I had to drive all the way there to get answers. Matt has always been helpful and friendly but it's iffy otherwise. It gets the job done but it's not worth the high price of the unit especially compared to the other options in the area.

I must say, I was blown away both times by the customer service and the technology of checking out and returning the vehicles. In regards to storage, the carts provided were a back saver and the ease, the security in place, and the cleanliness of the unit were very impressive.
