Just wasn't expecting such a long and cumbersome return process. Taking pictures in the dark onsite is a very risky circumstance for customers especially when so many other vehicles are being returned at the same time. There is a huge risk for accidents or injury. Return truck inspections should not be the responsibility of the customer.

When lift the door open it was hard to lift up. There was pinch bugs aunts in there. I recommend if getting one get a climate control. I think the price is way too high for people out there struggling. We had that bad storm hurricane and I couldn't get to the storage unit it was flooded where I live. People don't believe in helping in a bad situation it is so sad. The gate on the exit you have to get out of your car to put the code in to get out. Other than that it was ok. I just tell what I think and had. I was never late with my rent.

I have to throw a lot of my stuff due to mold and humidity i had on my clothes and furniture The ceiling was leaking water and also from the walls The units looks like is not any maintenance at all and no one cares. All they care is to be pay on time

Trouble finding the unit ... The map should not say blng G when the building clearly indicates building H ... 1/10 times called for help I was rerouted to the centralized called center, which I did not appreciate... finally learned how to get into my unit (the video in the email makes it look too easy; I had to use scissors for both the zip tie and the latch on the door of the unit) ... Even with scissors, it took a long time to finally move the latch all the way to the right... I had to call Uhaul yet again & the customer service rep was ble to reach the facility ... I had finally resolved the issue about the latch but I still needed to talk to Jordan who helped me with a different question .... Then i had to call Uhaul again because I realized that there was no lock inside teh unit ... The nice rep got someone from the facility to come over to bring a lock, who did not explain why there wasn't a lock - until I asked, "Wasn't there supposed to be a lock?" She kindly explained the reason, to which I said, "Well, I could have at least been notified sine that was the case." Courtesy goes a long way, everyone. I would not have been upset about that if I had been told in advance, which would have saved me time and stress. I returned yesterday ... It was impossible to move the latch. I was able to reach the facility staff directly for the first time; she rep kindly came over and she had trouble with that latch too- proof that it's not user error! I said, "You can see how hard it is" because there was no indication of being understanding about it and she said "It is." That is it. No offer to get moved to a different unit or anything.

Needed a last minute rental for moving small amount of furniture. Walked in and left with a van within a few minutes. Très sympathiques et professionnels. No hassle experience.

While the cargo van's mechanical operate was without issue, the van smelled like a barn, as if livestock had been hauled in it. And coming from a KY farm girl, I know what a barn smells like. Can you fumigate or blast it with something to remove odor? Thankfully, I didn't need it for many miles.

Been using this location for practically every move due to the employees always being helpful & pleasant to deal with. This location always has the proper vehicle & requested equipment available…unlike other locations who claim to have it then when you get there they don't.

Every person I called and talked to because I needed help went above and beyond to help me. I remember two names Troy and frank but there was several more because I had to rent at the last minute with not a lot of money and so I had to call a few times and figure it out but every member I spoke with was absolutely amazing.

They robbed me in daylight, I did drive the truck for only 4 miles round trip, you did read this right 4 miles, I put gas in the truck before returning it. I discovered later that they charged me $13,5 for 3 gallons of gas. You do the math if this truck has the worst gas mileage in the world, let's say 8 miles per gallon, 3 gallons of gas will get you 24 miles (3 x 8 = 24) but remember I only did 4 miles round trip before returning the truck. I called the store and complained, customer service was rude, refused refunding my money and didn't want to admit that there was something wrong with the gas gauge. Do yourself a favor, Don't rent from this place, you will get robbed.

The equipment was clean , however, it is stink like someone slept there for days and in front smell like a dog poop there. I will recommend it to a friend. But I will warn them about how bad smells there. Also, before that truck, the representative gave me another one that had a flat tired. Oh, the representative you can tell she's not a morning person. Not to friend very serious. I think her name was Ashelly. I said she needs to be a little more friendly . I have been 35 years as a coustormer service and I know what I'm talking about. If not that's could hurt the business, and those truck need to be a little more friendly smelly. But overall the truck was a really a good truck. Merci.

The truck return operation was less than poor. We were sent to two drop off locations. The u-haul app didn't work properly.

U-Haul is trying to move to automation, I get it, but the gate code that was texted to me didn't work. U-Haul noted that I had access to the facilities as early as 5 AM (NOT). Your staff at headquarters transferred me 4 times. I got nowhere. Had to park at the facility to wait until 10 AM for someone to show up. This was by far the worst U-Haul Experience I have ever had. I will a-la-cart from now on. Penske and self storage from this point forward.

I arrived at the scheduled time to pick up my truck only to find it locked behind the security gates. Even though it was during business hours, no one answered the door or the phone number posted on the door. Another customer and I waited for about 15 minutes before someone appeared to open the security gate to get the truck out. When I went to return the truck at the scheduled time outside of business hours, the app crashed repeatedly and would not upload the required pictures to complete the rental process. Additionally, there were no available spaces to park the truck in the lot and I couldn't get behind the security gate where there was a parking space for the truck. Overall, yes, I was able to get my truck for the required purposes, but the checking out and in of that truck was very frustrating and stressful.

the Clerk Briana at the Debary, FL location seemed unable to locate the keys for the reserved vehicle and had to call an off-site manager to figure out the procedure of how to change the vehicle to be rented due to a lost or misplaced keys. After 35-40 minutes, she finally seemed to have the administrative end of the rental taken care of with the off-site manager. The new vehicle to be rented was parked behind multiple trucks, where the Clerk would have to rearrange the trucks in the U-Haul Lot. All while the two employees were present and, on the Clock, while waiting for the U-Haul employee to figure out what to do. I ended up suggesting she simply move the sole 15 ft Cube truck from behind the new vehicle to be rented and helped guide her safely past another truck blocking in the Van to be rented. Finally, after about an hour we were on way already into an hour of the 4-hour rental. Fortunately, my two workers were able to complete the move quickly. Upon returning the vehicle, at about 12:57PM the truck was about 2 miles over the estimated miles driven. the Clerk, Briana stated she would credit the extra miles due to my having to pay my 2 workers for the hour waiting to take the rental in the first place. She agreed, yet when the payment was processed she charged me anyway which professionally, was disingenuious. I have rented many times from U-Haul as my reocrds reflect, and only suggest that vehicles being rented the next day should be ready to do so the day before to eliminate such problems, and the additional expenses I had to endure to pay my two workers for sitting waiting for the U-Haul employee to straighten out the issues with off site manager. This is the first time I had such issues with U-Haul, and an employee, although polite, seemed unsure of the U-Haul procedures for rectifying such issues in a timely manner. All said and done I paid out of pocket an hour's wage for both workers for sitting, while compressing the 4-hour rental into 3 as a result of U-Haul's failures that could have and should have been resolved the night before the rental was to take place. As a Contractor for 38 years, the practice of ensuring all logistics are accomplished the night before eliminates the chance of what happened on 7/14/24. Better training and or onsite supervisors should be in place to avoid such events, added anxiety and the additional resulting costs to the U-Haul customer. The adjustments on U-Haul's part should be to ensure all pre-rental procedures are completed the day before the rental is scheduled to go out, to eliminate such issues going forward. Please do NOT discharge or discipline Briana. She just needs more time and more practice to perfect the processes and arising issue resolution. I remain, Very truly yours, Patrick F. Older woman staff member was rude, bad attitude, and made me feel like I was bothering her by being there.

Absolutely awful. The truck had no A/C and there were "no other trucks on site" to switch it out. Once I got to my destination (which was over 50 miles away) the check engine light came on and became really loud while accelerating. I stopped at another location on HWY 50 in Clermont and was told there was nothing they can do either. They told me to call the DeBary location and they would send someone to come pick me up. They would not switch out the truck either. I was advised to call roadside assistance to have it documented and have a GPS tracker track me in case I broke down on the highway during my 50 mile trip back…. with no AC and the check engine light on. Once I unloaded and return the truck I was told that I would get a $19,95 truck discount which is absolutely unacceptable. I ended up paying over $140 in mileage and fees plus $45 to refill the gas. Absolutely terrible experience and I will never rent from this location again. If you are reading this I would rather rent from Penske or anywhere else

Worst truck and experience with U-haul so far. My other experiences have been good with no issues. The truck itself had AC however it only vented to the windshield making it almost useless, stealing wheel alignment was off and check engine light would come on/off. The more frustrating issue though was that the location did not assign me a truck to be able to pick up the vehicle at the location without needing a store associate there. Causing my move to be delayed until the location opened. The customer service representative who I spoke with over the phone was very helpful with explaining what error occurred and checked for other locations with the truck I needed however unfortunately no nearby location had the right truck, my only option then was to wait until the location opened.

Service has declined sharply since Millie has been gone. New people left alone in the office that don't know how to handle transactions, etc., and have to call another store for help. Cleanliness has declined as well. I had to put a plastic bin up against the door on the inside of my unit, because the trash, dead bugs, etc. were being swept under my door and into my unit. The final insult... I notified the facility that I would be vacating my unit on 6/27. I was even out of there by 10 AM. Because my monthly payment was due on 6/25, I was charged almost $200 for TWO DAYS. What a greedy cash grab... no prorating. So glad to be out of there. Definitely would NOT recommend. The greed is pervasive. I have a same sized unit in a climate controlled building elsewhere (as opposed to the non-climate controlled unit I had at U-Haul) and I'm paying almost $100 per month less... and with insurance. Staff was friendly, but not helpful (hard to be helpful if you don't know what you're doing).

Maybe schedule more than one person in the morning? 5 people all waiting to pickup. One guy cuts in front of me. Charge me for a dolly you don't have. I'll never return to this location and my experience has me debating ever using UHaul again. This establishment should be embarrassed about their performance. Thank goodness for Briana she was positive and helpful and kind. If it wasn't for her, I would have left and never returned. She's an asset.

I will never use this location again. Lets start off with management......rude and its time for her to retire dealing with the public! They make up numbers for your mileage and also the gas and how much you put into the truck. They return the trucks when they want even though as the customer you know you returned it on the day you had planned. This location has not only charged me an extra day without me knowing but also said I had not placed back the gas that was used. Mind you I have rented from U-Haul for years (from a different location) and have NEVER ran into these type of issues. I only went to the this location because the one I normally used did not have any trucks available in the size I needed. Again I would NEVER do business with this location again and will NEVER suggest for anyone I know to use it either!

Not very pleased with the way business was conducted prior to my things being relocated to a different facility further away. I never had an issue beyond the climate control not working in the summer because the commercial air conditioning parts were constantly delaying. There was no water damage in my unit specifically which was supposedly the reason for the relocation. I would have preferred to be moved to a different spot at the same facility in the climate control area due to logistics but the decision was made for me unfortunately. The Manager at the time of my move in communicated much better and was a lot more personable. Millie McClure is surely missed at the Debary location! While the next month of storage fee is being waived as a courtesy, that does not alleviate the extra distance to the other facility. Also the fact that my things were moved without me being present I will not know until I am able to go to the new facility if all of my things were even moved or if anything has been discarded. As a customer over 3 years I would have expected much better service and consideration from all involved in this debacle.

1995 a day to rent a small van. Maybe tell your customers you have to add the tax add the mileage add the insurance replace the gas and your total bill will always end up well over $100. So, 19,95 four a day rental is deceiving. I rented a 10 foot truck for two hours advertised was $19,95 after bringing it back total was $90. Don't really mind paying that but I think you should make your customer aware of that before hand. $19,95 a day plus tax insurance and mileage and gas replacement. What's wrong with that?

I didn't have a problem until there was a price change after a signed agreement it somewhat bothered me because these aren't the things that are told to you as a renter as to being a possibility, hence what if you guys had decided to increase fees statewide of $40 what do would your renters have to do if they cannot make that payment or move out upon request that just makes me feel my personal possessions isn't important or to UHaul my belongings have little to no value as the company can put a price on someone's personal preference on what they considered valuable or irreplaceable.

Only issue is that I was charged an entire month and was not there the entire month and was not prorated after I was made to pay the rent in full knowing I was leaving mid month and after over two years if not three I should have been issued a refund for unused days. So uhaul gets the rent doubled if the unit is rented out prior to February 9, 2023. I expected 45 to 50 credited to my credit card 

I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance to have a drive up 10x10 space. I called 20 minutes before i drove there and they told me my space was available and when i got there i was told they didn't have any drive up space so they put me in an interior room. BTW, who puts A 3" step into a storage room building that you cant roll a cart in?

Millie was an absolute nightmare. 1 day before Thanksgiving she called and harassed me about my payment being late. She told me I would lose my stuff soon and they don't rent to people who don't pay on time. I told her my whole life is in the unit and I am living in a hotel at the moment and I will pay as soon as I can. I ended up in the hospital that night having a panic attack thinking all of our stuff would be sold..... Multiple times I came in and she was also very rude to me. I even complained about her Multiple times to the next closest uhaul place. She is a horrible person and should be fired!!! I got an email address from another uhaul place to file a formal complaint about her. I've always liked and used Uhaul. She should be fired, she gives uhaul a bad name.

A lot of Uhaul trucks at the end of Ailes making it hard to maneuver around them.

The units that are outside but enclosed in the buildings need fans installed they are very hot when you are inside them that’s the only thing I found wrong with this storage unit

The office manager is very rude. The few times I have gone into the office she would interrupt anytime I was trying to speak and wouldn't listen to me.

Had to cancel unit but we are long time customers of this facility. Millie and staff are absolutely phenomenal! Dropping moving trucks off Monday the 14th . As always this staff goes above and beyond customer expectations!

I rented here for over a decade - and had ZERO issues. Millie was extremely helpful with anything I ever needed. I would definitely recommend this facility. It is very well kept, and clean. I rented an air conditioned unit, and it was perfect - no bugs/rodents. The rent was affordable - and was not a bait and switch, after my move in - like a lot of other places I've rented. Thank you to the staff here, I appreciate your kindness!

The experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff at this location were amazingly friendly and helpful. They are the ones that definitely make this site. The location was clean and well maintained. I would do business there again for sure!

I have been a Uhaul Customer for a few years. I have used the storage unit, rented Uhaul trucks and also used the Uhaul Hired Help feature on their site. Everytime, the Debary general manager Millie McClure went over and beyond. I can not express how grateful I am. Thank you Millie!!! You definitely helped ease my moving anxiety.

Had truck reservations in Cocoa Florida was supposed to have a storage unit reserved in Debary Florida and also to be able to return truck it was a mess got ran back-and-forth to Orange city and Debary. Made two trips to each place got charged for over mileage. Got told at one place couldn't turn the truck In there because they had no room for it.

The 2 females (I wish I could remember their names) that are almost always here are both super kind and run this place extremely efficient. Even when they are busy those 2 women know how to hustle and still provide great customer service. A special thanks to the woman with the blonde hair. When we originally got the storage unit she didn't have me on their reservation list even though I had a reservation number for their location. She was kind enough to be able to provide us with a 10x20 storage unit that we needed for our things. Overall great service and would recommend this location to everyone.
