JULIUS WI rented a 6x12 trailer with a ramp to purchase a side by side atv a few hours away. It did not fit and I could not swap the trailer at a different location. I understand now when booking there is a little small box that pops up with specifications that the ramp entrance is 4'9", but why..? Just make the ramp the same size as the trailer like normal trailers with ramps are. It was just a very frustrating day as I could not purchase the atv, wasted gas money, wasted money on the rental of the trailer. I know ultimately it was my fault but I don't think uhaul does a great job making this very very aware. Like I wish there was a notice on the trailer selection page that was under the ramp trailer like "note: trailer ramp is more narrow than actual trailer width listed". I don't mind paying for the car:toy hauler and I don't think many customers would mind either, I just would rather pay the fee and get the correct trailer for me instead of just wasting a day for it not to work.

GREGORY OProblems with the lock secured by the U-Haul for me due to me not being able to get to the storage unit. Because I have breast cancer going through treatment. Then they wanted to charge me $50 to cut the lock off because I didn't have the right key. My Movers, who are third-party company through U-Haul the guy cut the lock off and then I was advised that I was gonna be on a list of do not rent to me for storage. I will be contacting whoever to get this taken care of and get my name off that list other than that my experience with U-Haul was excellent, and the staff was excellent.

We figured out that we needed to go to the other side of the building to access the floor 2 where our unit was located. Once we figured out that, we had a very long walk through the 2nd floor units to find our unit. It would be nice if there was another entrance to the 2nd floor near to other side of the warehouse for quicker access to our unit. But I understand.

I can't express my thanks to everyone, they made everything so smooth for me. Kudos to the managers especially the gentleman over the 4100 Barksdale blvd store completely went over and above to ensure they had a satisfied customer even if I didn't make a purchase at his store. You best believe his will be the first store I check for all my uhaul needs!! The manager and his staff at 222 lake street was amazing as well, the transition was so smooth!! The lady at 3100 Barksdale blvd who started this chain, knows what true customer service is. Thank you all!!!

kelvin d | Expérience généraleI reserved a cargo van and ended up with a truck. Took me 30 extra minutes to finally realized that I didnt have the van to pick up. I was NEVER informed that I would NOT be getting a van. My reservation was a transfer from the N. Market location. I asked him to make sure that the Lake St. know that I wanted a cargo van. He guaranteed that I would have the van, but getting there for 7:30 a.m. and location not open, I had to navigate the app by myself. This was my 1st time using the app, which was not working for me to scan and upload my driver's license Loved the price, but not the vehicle. .

I was unable to return for my scheduled date and although it said on the app it wasn't available for extended renting I merely sent a message thru the app and they were prompt in their response and they worked it out so I was able to keep it longer. Quincy BThe staff here always have great personalities and they're very helpful. The issue is I have rented one truck that had the check engine light on and my most recent rental had the tire pressure light on. So great staff but the trucks aren't well maintained.
ROCHITA WThe trailer lights were broken and we were told we would be able to use the trailer for a second day for no charge but we were charged. The location is in a horrible part of town and a stray dog walked in the store behind me. There were homeless people all around.
WESLEY TThe General Manager was very kind and considerate. I had trouble getting all my stuff moved and I was given extra time to get my things moved. The GM was not obligated to designate me this extra time but did so and showed great customer service. Thanks so very much.

Zy'Ann JBox trailer rear door did not open without banging on the top of the door. Happened everytime tou tried to open it. Closed ok.
DARRYL VI delivered my truck after hours, so I did not interact with personnel, but the facility had cameras and was well lit, so I felt safe.
ANDREA CWe rented a climate storage unit 10x15. I called the day before check in to make sure everything would be set for arrival. On arrival 12/27, I was informed the size unit did not exist at this location. We instead had to get 3 different units to make up the size. Originally we were only offered 2 but I called back later and got the third because 2 would not have been enough space. The staff tried to put them close together but they still were not as close as they would have been if this was the one unit it was supposed to be. There also was an issue with the security with having the multiple units that resulted in the alarm system (very loud) going off twice in a row.

STEPHEN REverything turn out to be great.great customer service.but the only thing I hated that my storage unit was way in the back.my movers had to do a lot of walking back and forth to place my belongings in the storage.because I had total knee replacement surgery August 1,2024 and all that long walking caused my knee to swell up and be in pain the rest of the day.but other than that.everything else was fine.

The lock should be taken off when late fees are paid because it's very inconvenient to have to go get someone to take it off. Especially if it's been days that the payment was made.

DLE WDerrick was a big help. Marcos took care of us after the two days of confusion and misunderstanding. Ms Wanda didnt do my second reservation correctly. I had to end up paying more money than expected. I set a reservation and it wasn't honored at first just a headache and frustration.

THEN when I arrived and checked the truck in, the key box is located on the next block over, across a major street. So it is very very inconvenient to drop the key. I was irate by the time I was done
Jauna CTruck was clean, but smelt like hot trash and cigarettes. I also had reserved 2 weeks ahead of time a 9*12 trailor, only to get a call the day prior that the closest avail trailor was in Minden, but they were closed for the weekend. Only option was to pay for a truck, and the price of the trailor wasn't honored and we ended up spending a ton more than we had expected, but no other options were given to us. The reservation was made online for a different pick up site. Staff were friendly though and were not at fault...more of a company issue.

BENNIE RIt wasn't sealed of and insulated like advertised. It flooded and rodents and or birds got inside at some point and I wasn't notified of this. Because of these events they had to break the lock and replace it to which again, I wasn't notified about this either. The locker was rented by myself but the stuff was my friends and the fact I heard about this almost a year later is disappointing. If something happens like flooding that needs to be addressed and notified.

(you have to put your code in two separate panels in the correct order and with the correct delay between the two) There is no way to keep the door from closing to prevent having to do this over and over again. Doors were not functioning properly for exiting, the sliding door could only be opened from the outside. Was told I had to buy a lock, saw later on the invoice it came with a free lock. Etc Etc Etc

I had to do an emergency move and she did everything she could to help me. Shes a saint! I will miss her dearly, and the facility was the best location possible and I felt like my things were always safe. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I do feel like it was a little pricey though, and I wish there was a grace period for if when I moved my things out I could get my money back for that month. I moved my things out yesterday, so I basically paid like $150 for only two weeks of storage. Other than that, it was over all a fantastic experience.

I had stored a few boxes at my brothers in his shed in his backpack and it's just got a pull down garage door but my things were in there for only about 2 ½weeks and it looks like 2 ½ years! This states weather makes it almost impossible to have things day in and day out in this humidity and it's moisture mixed together is the perfect conditions for this fungus to flourish! At the same time I wl never, ever, ever use the 247 truck share crap again. Way too much to do on top of what you already have going on that day! Not the service but the functionality of it is NO Bueno.

This caused an extreme delay for me to start my journey. What makes it worse is that no one wanted to take responsibility for the horrible customer service. The company you have representing the movers told me you are responsible for all the EXYRA expenses I incurred. When I spoke to someone at U-haul they said the Movers help was responsible. Needless to say I couldn't reach the company that was responsible for not showing up. It makes me wonder if U-HAUL does any research on the company's you recommend?And why do you recommend companies when you don't back the company's??? I believe it's bad for business and im very leary about recommending U-haul for anything. My confidence has been broken.
