It's great to be able to rent a storage unit so easily over the phone. Rent was well priced and unit was easy to access. It was slightly difficult to figure out how to use the access code to get in/arm/disarm facility, but once figured out the process is very easy.

Don't care for the new ramps on your 5' X 8' trailers. they are more of a nuisance than a help on that size of a trailer.

I'd give this facility five stars if the freight elevator was available to be used. My storage room is on the sixth floor and,I could have all my stuff up there in two or three trips instead of fighting with the regular elevator while trying to place big volume items inside of it.

I made the mistake of renting a 10 ft truck which doesn't have a ramp. They allowed me to upgrade to a larger truck and they made the process very simple. Thanks for the great service!

First, The Van was not at the p/u facility when we arrived; the reservation was made in advance. Second, the Van is not a Cargo Van (a cargo van holds 12 to 15 people, while the one I had would maybe hold eight people). Labeling it as such is misleading. I have been an experienced driver of vans for the past 60 years. I would have been better off with the small box truck. Third, the van was dirty. The windshield looked like either a dog was licking it or had dirty paws on it. Fourth, the van had only a quarter tank of gas. When rented, a vehicle's gas tank should be half to three-quarters full. The overall condition was filthy; the side door had dog food inside. In closing, This was a terrible experience as misrepresentation of size and lack of cleanliness.

A tire pressure warning kept popping up on the dash screen and then the radio/backup camera instrument panel stopped working about halfway through our trip.

I was disappointed to learn that I could have received the first month free if I rented any equipment. I rented a box truck and a unit, but I was still charged for the first month. When I raised this issue, I was told that nothing could be done because the charge had already been processed.

The contactless check-in was incredibly long winded with information that could have been put in when I did the initial reservation instead of in downtown after dark. It also asked for pictures of the vehicle which had other uhaul trucks on either side, so getting pictures required first moving the truck. The only reason this location was selected was because it was the only one with a 10' truck, but then we were charged $30 for "extra miles" because we had to drive it to the complete opposite side of town in addition to what we needed. The location was fine, but the process and website were a nightmare. I don't need a Uhaul app, let me use the website in peace!

I never had any issues with my storage unit as far as the account, my belongings, or the location. I like that the new manager changed the way people can access the building to account holders only. Originally, anybody could go in and out of the six-story building for most to all hours of the day. Considering it's a large building and has several bathrooms and countless unlocked units to hangout in, I'd think it necessary to only allow the doors to open for card holders considering its location. Fortunately, under the new manager, that was a change that was made. I have no complaints, if you do what you are supposed to do, everything goes smooth.

The WORST experience I may have ever had... that "manager" should NEVER be a manager. To call us liars and treat us the way she did and to have NO customer service skills what so ever.. the absolute worst experience for my husband and I to be treated to like that and spoke to like that. .never in my life.

They charge me after-hours fee when I returned the truck the same day I rented it. I had no idea I supposed to check in with the app nor was I informed by the location I picked it up at. For years, I simply return rented trucks at the end of the day, usually early without any issues. Now you add an unnecessary step to validate the return. I would think the myriad of cameras would be more than enough to timestamp when it was returned. Besides, it was returned 14 hours early than scheduled return time. Furthermore, I was charged a cleaning fee because the front of the truck was dirty from driving in the rain. This to me seems reasonable ware and tear that I should not be held responsible. This is just the drop-off bad experience. The pick up experience was just as bad considering the some of the equipment I rented was not available. Additionally, the original pick-up date was scheduled at the end of the day when I specifically said I wanted it for the morning. Luckily, I caught that error before arrival. Your district managers are doing a terrible job training your location staff. The female manager I spoke to on Washington Street was extremely rude and told me to call the 800 number to resolve my issue.

I had an overall great experience with the U-Haul Storage facility on Washington St. Downtown. The only thing is I wish I would've been offered to have some of my money taken off each month because Immy storage unit had a big pillar in it so I wasn't able to use all of the space that was in the storage unit.

I feel like the advertised rates are a scam to get people in the door. And once in, extra outrageous fees are tacked on. 80$ for late fee is outlandish! Also, if you were to make a partial payment, the late fee will be added BACK on AGAIN causing you to pay 160$ total just in late fees! For this reason, they will tell u they don't accept partial payment …making it even harder to pay off the past due balanace before the next months rent and late fee is added on! I think uHAUL is finding ways to make a profit for the business regardless of the customers who are being ripped off…

Stop treating this place like a prison and allow easier access to customer who have storage units there. Staff also couldn't tell me were the proper entrance was. I was told by an employee to use utility entrance to get into the office, then was scolded by another employee for using it.

Hi. Didn't catch the female employee name yesterday 07-11-2023 but she was very helpful. The receptionist mark yesterday 07-11-2023 Was super superb and his knowledge of the company, and excellence in explaining everything. One thing he had to ask the lady female employee yesterday, but other than that he showed he's a valuable employee to the u haul corporate company. Thanks to him and the whole U-Haul family, I was able to obtain storage.

Been having problems. Each month I have been getting calls about the computer issues and how the computers has either took off our card on the account or they cant find the right account. Even after my fiance has talked to manager and we got the thumbs up. I still get a call once a month.

The clerk got the storage unit ready but dur9that time he refused my to add my alternate number by assuming me and the other person were one individual after I told him we were to different people but on the internet has made us 1 person instead in reality we are 2 people that happens to have the same name from that point it went downhill because he decided to refuse to rent me the truck as per my reservation I then had to wait while my daughter got Deanglo came up front and rented me the truck I am a elderly disabled black woman who is hard of hearing so my daughter had to keep telling me what he the one that rented the storage unit said see tried explaining that but he still refused to finish my order which was he fault he didn't rent me the when I asked about it was a problem he walked away and went into the back of the building and refused to come and finish my order

By far the best uhaul storage location i have ever used. 9/10 would recommend to friends and family, especially the free month for having auto pay which is a great option for me. Delane was also amazing and super accommodating. Plus very speedy and fun!
