I do not see anything to improve. This was my first time hauling my motorcycle and I was under a strict time schedule. You guys opened on time, service was quick and easy, I was then on my way and was able to tie the bike down and get on the road to my destination. Needles to say, I made it to my destination on time. Returning the rental the services was quick and easy. This was an excellent experience and I am looking forward to doing it again.

I have used this location multiple times, found staff helpful and courteous. When I picked up the trailer, the link text3d to me for uploading pictures from my phone did not work. I discovered during dropoff that the Uhaul app did work on my phone for uploading pictures. So perhaps clearer guidance or instructions regarding use of apps and mobile devices.

My experience(s) have all be outstanding. Staff very courteous, helpful, and professional. Bought the trailer just rented for 24 hrs back about 2 hours late due to unforseen circumstances, and they didn't charge me anything more.  Thank you so much for the use of your rental equipment.

Uhaul charged me extra money per mile over the approximate rental. Wasn't a lot but felt it was a little petty. Filled the tank up too much too so paying forward the gas i guess.. would still rent again but now I know.

The truck that I rented, ran rough. I prayed that I would make it to my destination and that it would not break down. I made it, but I believe that particular truck needs some auto mechanic work done to it. My landlord said that he thought it had an exhaust leak? Also, there was a huge gauge in the ceiling of the truck. I did not realize it went through the top and that they had patched it on top of the truck. It rained the whole time I moved right after I had loaded everything. I only had help unloading when I got to my destination for a couple of hours, so I was forced to unload in the rain. That actually turned out to be good news, because I quickly found out that the patch did not work on the roof of the truck and my solid oak 7 foot book shelves and chest of drawers and photo albums were getting wet. If I would have waited a few hours before unloading, more of my items would have been soaked. We had a comforter on the floor under the furniture and that entire comforter was sopping wet. That was in the back of the truck, not up towards the front where we were going in and out. Also, I don't know if GPS technology is able to do this, but it would be nice to have a warning that the bridge that it is the path to go front point A to point B is too low and you won't fit under with the truck. I got to an underpass that read "10 feet". I stopped the truck and looked to see that the truck was marked 11 feet. So, I had to direct traffic around my stopped truck in the middle of the road, then back my two teenage kids cars into an alley and then back the truck up a hill onto a side street and ask someone how to get to the other side without going under it. So, lots of adventures that didn't need to be adventures if there was a little more love put behind your trucks and the path for the customer to get to their destination. First off I was at a different location and rented a truck after i got home they called me and told me i had to return the truck because it was a in town truck so i had to drop the truck off and go to a different location and said they would give me a refund and AT LEAST A 60 dollar discount AT LEAST. So I went to a different location and rented another truck without receiving my refund yet and when i got the truck it had 3/4 tank of gas. When I dropped the truck off that same night at 9:30 at night it was cleaned spotless and had a FULL tank of gas a 1/4 of tank more than when i got it. I then called and asked about the " at least 60 dollar discount" I was told I was going to get and then they tell me all they can do is refund me 50 DOLLARS!! So here it is 5 days later and they still haven't refund me the money from the first truck I had to return because of their mistake or the 50 DOLLAR refund when I was told AT LEAST 60!! Then when I dropped off the truck spotless and more gas in then when I received it they charged me 3,24 dollars for what I don't know!!! So would I recommend U-Haul to any one absolutely not and I will never use U-Haul again because when I called to ask about all of these things they don't answer my calls or return my messages!!

During the last 5 years, I have rented various rental spaces from Richmond to FL in assisting family members with their moving needs. The best experience by far has been here in Fredericksburg,VA. It's a full service business able to provide trucks,moving supplies,rental storage units-climate control/controlled by climate,& more. Staff are knowledgeable, and able to handle any issues that arise. Uhaul App provides easy access to secure storage. Security is excellent and never concerned about my personal safety anywhere on the property. All areas are clean and especially the climate controlled spaces and bathroom. Can't say enough good things about this facility.

Rented a 6x12 trailer and on arrival found the back entrance to be 5 foot wide so totally useless - wasted my whole day and others that we had lined up to move equipment. Website requires more info and specifics and less pretty photos of the trailer you won't get. Location high traffic area. Trailer looked okay but didn't use it. Staff okay at first and then argumentative saying I lost a sticker, yes a sticker, from the hitch I had to buy for a trailer they rented me and ruining my day. At least they have priorities straight....yeah okay...

This is my second truck rental this year. Out of the 2 pick-ups and 2 drop-offs, 3 have been very slow because of the U-Haul software application and network connectivity have not worked efficiently. The staff has been wonderful throughout these delays which were beyond their control, but this seems to be a persistent enterprise-level shortcoming.

My truck was older, it was somewhat clean but I had to wipe it down myself, especially steering wheel and driver side visor, door, blinker and washer sticks

During drop off, both employees were on phone calls. One was clearly on a work related call, and was still interacting with me as needed. The other was on his earbuds and provided no direction. He seemed annoyed at questions, and it made it difficult to understand what it was I was supposed to do next. Coming off of a long drive and a stressful day, this was not acceptable to me.

My company is a defense contractor and I was deliverying cars to the military and required a backup plan for my auto transporter, so I called and spoke with Sky, who was very professional and efficient. Sky began a reservation for me for an auto trailer while I was still enroute and once I arrived, we determined my vehicle did not have the proper electrical hookups, she quickly found me a large enough truck to pull the trailer. This really saved me, as after I left the facility with the truck and trailer, my transporter called and said they'd had no luck finding someone to move my vehicle that day, so I was able to perform the transport myself with the proper equipment in a timely manner. All of the personnel were knowledgeable and courteous professionals who hooked up the trailer to the truck and walked me through how to utilze all of the equipment and I was on my way in no time. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone!

I was told that I had to pay &20 and some change at pickup. I get there with intentions of paying that. I wa running behind however I called, when I got there the associate was texting on her phone. She finally acknowledged me, and said are you the lady that just called? I said yes, she then pulled my reservation up. She asked. Me about the insurance pretty much demanding I get it because any dent or scratches I would be responsible for for and you could get them without fault.,so I asked how much would it be so she gave me the total I said I didn't budget to pay all this $ I told her about 50 miles. So she gave me a rate of .69. A mile. Anyway, when I as ready to pay d add he said is your card a prepaid card? I said I don't think so my payroll is loaded on here and it's thru USA bank , she said well if I system reads it as a prepaid card you have to pay $100 down , I said idk so let me go across the street and get $100 out the ATM, I did ( something told me to get more ) so when I went back a different girl helped me, she said I'm sorry if you pay cash it's a $160. Deposit  I don't know why she told you that. I just feel like everyone is in a hurry to make a sale . Because prior to getting the reservation there, I had called the one that services Caroline and the guy pretty much made a reservation for me knowing the store didn't even creamy pickup trucks. I had to go 20 miles out . So i had to call the 1-80 number that covers your store. That was a day before I needed the U-Haul. So you know I am piseed at this point. Then I get at this store and have to deal with this. Suppose I didn't get extra $ I would have to go right back to the store. ( inconvenience). And then what happened to the workers bringing the trucks to you and walking around to check it. ?? None of that transpired yesterday I got the truck then I asked her to help me with the seat it wouldn't move. I would have thought she would offer another one that' I could comfortably drive but NOPE! I had the worst experience there. Then when I returned the truck the girl came outlooks the gas mileage, I figured up 78 miles she verified that, she told me the total, I said I paid $160 she said you can go inside to get your refund, I said are you coming, she said you can go inside she should be in there.,I go inside and she comes thru the door. Why didn't she just come in and give me my money in the first place? She then gives me my refund, didn't say thank you or anything but acknowledged the other ppl in the lobby just as nice. I didn't get names, I was tired, I had to go to work but you know who they are by looking up my reservation and everyone that touched my account. I would much rather in the future use a different location. They had the worst CS .

The guy who was there and took the keys from me when I was returning the truck was very rude, He kind of yelled at me because the truck was not clean, I was agreeing to pay the $25 cleaning fee but the guy showed me an attitude, maybe because of my race he was acting superior, I wish I knew his name so I could mention him to U-haul, he is a tall white male,

I live 30 mins away and booked a reservation for pick up at this location and drop off at a location at pets mart on rt 1 in Stafford. It never gave me a notification that it was not able to be a one way due to it being long a pick up truck. And I of course didn't open my browser for it until I was ready to drop it off by my house and had to drive all the way back to Fredericksburg paying more money. I put more gas in the truck then it had when I received it and didn't get a credit for that or nothing.

I left because the prices were totally ridiculous! Ive had my stuff there for several years but i just could not afford that kind of money any longer. One other remark, on more than one occasions when i needed to pick up or drop off you all had your trucks parked in most of the spots and the others were taken so i had to either sit and wait or return at another time.

I reserved a 10x10 unit but upon arrival was told they were going to give me two 5x10 units…which is the same square footage BUT we had quite a few large items which made us have to play Tetris for two hours and have to move thing across from one unit to the other to make it all fit. This was a huge inconvenience to come to after our 6 day drive from TX w an infant. Even though it's highly inconvenient…we still had to pay the same price for the unit.

Staff seemed to just not care to be polite. Apathetic and annoyed was the face present ed. Moral seems to just be down. Bathrooms smell like a mix of urine and Pine-Sol in the climate control bldg and just a foul odor lingering in the sales area bathroom The two chairs for waiting customers are stained and dirty. I rented a storage unit here a few years ago( which is why I rented again) and the owner was on site more it was much better when she was present. This time I rented for less than a month & decided to get my things out of there as quickly as possible.Disappointing.

The outside staff gentlemen who check you in are wonderful. They are so polite and helpful. The front of the house were rude and unhelpful. The area is clean and stocked but the truck rental was a nightmare. They locked my unit up with a note that I didn't pay my rent 2 days after renting it. They put a charge on my card when I paid cash a week later still no refund on my card for the hold. Closed early first time due to no internet and forgot to give me blankets I had to have for my move and paid for. Went back for them and they closed 31/2 hours early. 2nd truck sluggish and brakes stuck. Power steering was a nightmare. I am disabled and it was so hard to drive. 3rd truck sluggish and check engine light came on. One issue after another. When I was leaving in my car I drove over a screw and got a flat tire in their parking lot. Refused to give me my money back on a lock I purchased ever I did not need until I called costumer service on the manager and they told him to do it and how to look up my purchase without a receipt. He knew exactly how to do it and chose to act like I was a thief instead of looking it up!!! A total mess the worst experience ever and I have rented from Uhaul plenty of times in the past! I didn't even stop to tell them about the tire and just drove home. I couldn't deal with the rudeness and excuses. So stressful they see I can't stand or walk and they have me doing dbl walking. Between them and my real state agent on the sale of my home I will never move again!!!!!!!! The worst move EVER!!! When you see someone in braces struggling to walk in you think you'd try to help them hold a door offer to help with a box not make them struggle to walk. Be polite it's free. The gentle men outside were absolutely wonderful they should be running the Uhaul there!! I still don't get the giant rat traps everywhere that makes me so very nervous!!

The storage unit had an infestation of moths. So the manager moved us to another unit and it also had an infestation of moth s. Restore clothes in there so we had to move to another facility. The staff was very kind tried to help the unit would have worked except for dealing with the moths.

The facility on Plank Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia is wonderful. The staff there is friendly, very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I recently had to move into a larger unit and they made the whole process so easy. The facility itself is spotless and I actually enjoy going there to manage my things in storage. My only complaint is I think most of the time the loading dock for the storage facility is used as overflow parking. I find it harder and harder to find a spot when I load or unload my storage space.

If I had to do again, I would rent again with U-Haul and be smarter. The service, facility, and hours met my needs. What I didn't like was, I moved out my unit 3 weeks before my next payment was due, and I didn't receive a refund for those three weeks. In essence, someone else could move in the next day and pay for the month making that the unit has been paid for twice. I wasn't happy about that one bit. I felt like I had been taken advantage of. I called the next day, and the unit had been rented out. Although I live out of state, I never missed a payment. Right is right, and wrong is wrong! This was wrong! I could understand if they weren't able to rent out the unit for 3 weeks, but here…they rented it out the NEXT DAY. Double money for the company's pocket, or the manager's pocket; certainly not my pocket.

The young lady that helped me was very thoughtful and she made sure I was happy with the storage unit. I had gotten the 5x5 online and it was like a closet. I was never going to fit even a quarter of my things in there. Then I got the 5x10 , Wow! It was 5 ft deep and 10 ft high. Again, not going to fit my things in there. And who stacks stuff that high? So she helped me get a 10x10 and that did the trick! I'm so glad she had the patience and took the time to help me find it. Customer service is not lost with her. Great service!

I adore the way I have been treated by the older staff members under Jenna. Heather is also a part of that regime. The older staff members are also polite , helpful, friendly, and courteous. I have tried to stay out of trouble by always making my payments on time. The lesson is in life that each one teaches one. Treat your clients the way you would like them to respect your Business. (1) I was unable to obtain various receipts, according to the clerks " i don't know why it did not print." (2) The web site did not let me complete service request, end up having to call 1800 #. Have always found the facilities so well maintained and the staff willing to assist or direct to someone who can help. Most importantly, I feel safe when I'm at the unit and that there is adequate security and monitorin. Have recommended this facility to several people taking a look or checking in. My only concern is all of the 10x10x8 unit are up a flight of stairs. There is no elevator for carry up heavy items.

We had a fine experience. Thank you. If we ever need storage again, we will return. Most importantly your prices were pretty good, and you didn't hike the prices up every month or so claiming it's the city taxes like the people next to your facility did.

Facolity was clean and convenient. We appreciate having the dollies at our disposal to load and unload. There is an area where one can leave unvwanted items to be donated to Charitable organizations. We had an issue at the beginning when returned UHaul vehicles blocked our exit. The management remediated the problem with better signage, so drivers knew where to park the trucks without blocking people using the storage area.

Made a reservation on March 7 by phone and later confirmed by Jennie's who I was told later she was now president of the new region. Went to reserve a truck and pay rental fee for the reserved unit. There was not a reservation to my chagrin. I spoke with two associates and Heather said they were full for the March 27 or other end of March. She sId they it might old. Up but they would definitely would find a 10 x 10 x 12' unit and call me to confirm. Heather promised to get back the same dY. I called later that day and was told that someone was working on it. Received. Call later that evening confirming g that I had confirmation. Original move date was March 28 but movers called dY before with a s heduking problem. I phoned UHaul to. Notify that the move would be 1 day later and reconfirmed so that the date and unit would be available. On March 29 I got the truck which took much longer than reasonable since I had a confirmation.which two people 30 minutes to locate. I then said I wanted to pay for the unit and get the location and purchase a lock. I was told no that wasn't the way to do it and I needed to wait until we came back to move in. I assumed we would be that 6 pm. When we returned at 4 pm I was told they didn't not have a reservation for me and they spent 30 minutes "looking at a monitor". Total insanity or a game that was being played staring yes you have a reservation and then give it to the first person that shows up. I would have gladly paid for the unit on the first reservation but I was total no not necessary. I am still very angry that the movers had to stuff my furniture into 2 5x5units which were wholly inadequate. Some items are to be sold and were in pristine condition as were a couple of antiques. My bus x and I were left with 10 boxes which we had to go to another storage rental and we had to pl ace them ours elves since movers had a schedule. To rectify this situation I want UHaul to either find a climate contolled u I'm the size requested or larger. And the charge remIn the sMe amount as was originally quoted and with me supervising move my items from units 1602-18. I would like a reply by Wed April 6.

Everyone was nice and very helpful if I had any issues the staff would be helpful and get right on it. And Heather is awesome she went above and beyond to make sure my service with uhual was great with any issues thank you all !

Initially I had a problem with the customer service the morning I was getting my rental. There were not enough employees available for the amount of people that were standing in line. If you are on a schedule oh, they would surely throw you off. The wait was definitely too long.

Misinformed by Sales Representative who demonstrated a no challenge attitude. Extremely unprofessional. Unit size misrepresented. Would and do not recommend this facility.

You don't ask if u need a lock you just add a lock in my bill and I had 2 locks. And I keep getting notification that my bill is late and it get frustrating so I moved out.

My experience with the employees at U-Haul in Fredericksburg we’re absolutely friendly professional and helpful I will recommend them to anyone the best customer service I have ever had at a U-Haul one particular person that really stood out his name was Kevin absolutely wonderful it was to others I do not remember the names it was a lady and it was another young man I don’t know the names but wonderful but Kevin my favorite thanks for everything I appreciate it And God bless each and everyone of you

There was no lock left in my unit when I opened it to put on the outside to lock my belongings inside. From what I was told I was supposed to have one inside the unit soon as I opened the door.
