DANIEL BThe U-Haul system went down during checkout so the whole experience took much longer and caused much more inconvenience. The store-person indicated U-Haul has frequent issues that disrupt service like this. The Truck I was given would make a continuously terrible screech at higher speeds making the 20-hour drive terrible.

KEVIN TI purchased a locking pin and it did not work as I hoped. It came off while I was driving causing a dangerous situation.
DOUGLAS BI don't normally deal with uhaul. Something came up that required a auto transport trailer. I was able to find a trailer at a location that I knew where it was and was about 1/2 way between where I needed to pickup and deliver. The paperwork didn't take long at the dealer as I had reserved the trailer online so the information was already entered. Getting the trailer went smoothly, other than a lot of traffic the job went well, and the drop off went smoothly as nothing went wrong with the trailer. I did spend $8 for the insurance just to cutoff any discussion about anything that could have gone wrong such as "now there is a bad light". Uhaul in general are a bunch of crooks as the company expects you as the renter to maintain their equipment for things that should be fair and tear such as lights and tires. If you leave with something and you return it with problems that are not your fault that shouldn't be your problem. There is no hour meter on a light bulb to tell you if it is going bad. If you leave with a tire that is approaching the end of its service life and it fails after uhaul has reaped the benefit of its use it shouldn't be your problem to replace it. This particular uhaul is run well and appears to be very efficient in its operation. I would recommend the people here, uhaul equipment is a different story.
CARY CAs with all U Haul locations, the wait can be lengthy in peak times, due to the time needed to complete the equipment rental process. Streamlining the rental process would be an improvement. This location is exceptional though. Everyone there knows their job well.

RICHARD RThe staff was energetic and professional. They made the process easy and answered all the questions necessary. The trick was super comfortable for an 8 hour drive. Having the option to drop off in another location is very convenient.
STEPHEN SWhen we got to the location, they weren't interested in helping us and did as little as they could to help. We were instructed to use the app to complete the pick up process.

Kenneth BI was not informed that if I brought the trailer back after closing time, I would have to drop the trailer myself. I am 69, partially handicapped and was praying the whole time I was trying to drop the trailer. Somebody else pulled up to drop a smaller trailer and he came over and helped me, Thank goodness.

KEVIN SI have rented here many times but not recently. Check in was horrible. I pulled in and there were 2 uhaul trailers checking in. I waited about 35 minutes while 2 uhaul employes checked them in. When I finally pulled up expecting someone to check me in they both said I had to check myself in on my phone which I could have done 35 minutes before if they would have told me. I struggled checking in on my phone on the app. After about 15 minutes I asked for help & the women grabbed my phone disgusted that I could not figure it out & just got me to the next step. I still could not get the milage right but didn't dare ask for help. After about 15 more minutes she pull up in one of the trucks and said you don't have to take the picture. So after over an hour of checking in with no help I told the women I doubt if I would rent here again. Her reply "I don't care". Wow! not a great experience to say the least.
MARK LWhen I went to pick up the truck, the employee I spoke with at the counter was completely standoffish and unhelpful. She forced me to use the U-Haul app on my phone after I told her multiple times I did not want to do this and would rather work with her directly to check in. This was not convenient and was extremely frustrating. After this experience, I would not recommend this location or this company to others and would direct them elsewhere.

KAREN PNothing The service was way above pare ! My trailer had a malfunction with the tail lights normal wear and tear. I took it back and everybody was a very good customer service.
MITCHEL GPersonnel told us they needed a break when we arrived and to unhitch the tow dolly ourselves, it was such a completely opposite experience from the store we picked it up at when Chandler helped and greeted us in AZ. Staff eventually helped unhook the tow dolly but it was not a friendly, welcoming experience.
MELANI HThe customer service was so painful. It was clear we were working with someone fairly new, but he was argumentative with us every step of the way and had a horribly rude attitude. It wasn't great at all until a seasoned employee stepped in and took over.

JOSE FI rented a 6' x 12' trailer in Huntsville, AL. The minimum rental period was 5 days since I was traveling to Colorado, but I only needed it for two. There should be an allowance for turning in the trailer early.

Richard RTrailer suffered a broken rear axle due to rusted off mounting hardware and allowed the rear-most axle to swivel uncontrollably over ten inches. Was absolutely incredible (and lucky) that it failed without the weight of the car loaded, which would have caused a serious accident and likely jack knifed in the heavy traffic we were towing in.
Jeff SDon't offer in-store desk check-in only to force everyone to do things via a mobile app. I do not want to have to download an app for a one-time U-Haul rental.

The only reason that I gave an average rating is customer service was not as attentive and appreciative as it could be. Felt like I was a bit of an annoyance and despite no other customer, the sense from the staff was "have a seat and we'll get around to you when we are ready."

laura gWe drove 22 miles and we were charged for 7 gallons of gas. This is unacceptable. You rely on photos of gauges that have limited resolution on what is actually "full" vs 3/4 full. You should either make sure that every vehicle actually has a full tank or improve your experience and based the fuel reimbursement on miles driven. Yes I understand that some people may leave the vehicle in idle and that would alter the estimate, however the gauges move in a non-linear fashion so your current method leads to fraudulent double charging where multiple customers can be charged for the same "gallon" of gas.

MICHAEL MThe drop off signage clearly states instructions which advise you to stay in your vehicle and staff will be out to help check your equipment in, This requirement applies during business hours. This was not the preferred procedure of the staff I was told when I finally had to go inside the facility for assistance after several minutes of waiting. The signage needs to reflect what the preferred procedure is.

JUDSON MI had to call and change our pick up time twice, which may have been frustrating for UHaul, but the woman who answered the phone both times could not have been more pleasant. We will definitely return to this location to rent trailers and trucks.
MICHAEL TThe uhaul call flex location was and always is great. Knowledgeable staff, had what I needed But we originally rented from a different U-Haul location which is officially a gas station. When we went there, the staff never got off her cell phone the whole time, did not know what to do about us needing an adapter from my Honda Ridgeline, and it was a failed experience Luckily I knew the U-Haul Colfax location and they took care of everything

Christopher CMy only comment here is there is clear signage instructing where to pull the vehicle for the return, and once there clear signage instructing me to stay in the vehicle and that someone would come out to handle the return. After sitting in the vehicle for several minutes, no one appeared so I thought they must be busy so I went in and there were two people just sitting at the desk. They were very friendly and helpful once I let them know I was there. My suggestion is to either do what the sign says or change the sign.
