It was hot in there supposed to be climate controlled infested with rat poop rats chewed up my some of clothes and other stuff.

The unit was infested with rat feces and urine. Dead cockroaches found thought the unit. Had to leave behind bed and bed set, sofa set, and throw away hundreds of dollars worth of bakery supplies due to food safety and sanitation violations. I did not have rental insurance, so I can't do anything about this. I am at a major lost!!梁

Staff was fantastic. General manager was annoying and extremely unprofessional. I have a shed at home and have NEVER had as much rat feces as was on all my stuff that I found emptying my storage unit out.

The gas tank was only 3/4 but they marked it as full. When I went back in to ask about it, they said don't worry just bring it back how it was. But since they marked it as full when it wasn't, they wanted it back as full. In addition this was not disclosed to me in person. I signed the "bring it back how you found it" but not the verified tank. And the contract wasn't emailed to me until 30 minutes after I left

UHAUL Computer system was down yesterday March 26, 2025 and I was unable to rent. Had to rearrange my schedule and rent today March 27. Very aggravating. When I dropped off equipment today, computer was down again. I would appreciate a discount for the multiple inconveniences.

The young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The area to hook up trailers and return equipment is far too cluttered and does not have appropriate access to the street because the pull around was blocked by several trucks and a golf cart. The man working wanted us to reverse a trailer down an area the length of the entire property and the width of 1 1/2 cars that contained approximately 10 speed bumps, to back the rented trailer into the holding spot. He offered to move the trailer with a cart after we refused to back up the length of the block. He should have offered that upon our arrival or offered to move the trucks from the cluttered and blocked off equipment drop off area. I'm only scoring it as average because the young lady was nice and the equipment was in working order and available, otherwise I would have rated it as a poor experience.

The service and knowledge of the car hauler I rented was great and price was acceptable and was in good condition and the trip turned out ok without any issues.I dropped the car hauler off at the location today.

This was my first experience renting a Uhaul truck, the website to book was user friendly and offered many options for assistance with moving. Check-in was a breeze, and Troy S did a phenomenonal job through my whole experience to make sure I was taken care of and had no issues with the equipment rented to me. MY storage units had mices in it ... They nibble holes as well as peed on my sofa and my four plastic container of clothes they peed on them and left rat droplet ... The plastic bag that I had my bed decorative throw pillows they peed and bit holes in them ... I did contacted the office personal to see the damage!!!

There were many trucks available at many locations that were not as far away as I had to go In order to pick up the vehicle that I rented. However I needed the truck for 3 days, so I had to drive 25 minutes in each direction to go out of my way in order to get a rental.

Outdoor unit, secured, no light available. Rat feces all over furniture, tops of boxes, and shelving units we had in there. Couldn't bring anything in the house after emptying unit because we need to blow off all of the feces. Would not recommend outdoor unit at this facility. Staff was friendly.

when i rented the trailer, we were going to sturgis with 2 motorcycles.. i rented the trailer 3 months in advance.. The manager said that the bikes would fit.. we picked up the trailer the day before we were leaving. when we got the trailer , picked it up at 4 pm.. came home and the bikes didn't fit.. brought it back the next morning and was charged 50 dollars for a rental.. never used it brought it home, brought it back.. i couldn't find a trailer in time to tow our bikes.. so had to cancel our trip,.. you need to get wider trailers that can fit two bikes.. 7 x 12 would be great..

A concern is the parking space to return the U-Haul during after hours. We were lucky to have a one huge space left to park the 26' U-Haul. But I don't know what we would have done if there wasn't that spot left without blocking any of their storage units.

If somebody got late 30 min because traffic or accident on the road I think shouldn’t charge for another day, because when people return the equipment 8 or 10 hrs before don’t get reimbursed for that time.

The front driver tire on the trailer had obvious wear that was abnormal, I asked and was told it would be fine. ***500 miles into my trip I had to have the tire changed , with new tire it continues to wear to the point it needed to be changed again when I dropped the trailer in Oakland

i spoke to this place and stated the reservation was made and also cancelled at another location due to not being able to rent the truck until several days later and were charged for a unit i never seen nor moved into. i contacted this location several times and were told i would hear from john lawson at which i never did so i decided to ride to this location to see about getting refunded this amount due to me being on a fixed income and just lost my brother which is why all this were needed to moved my now deceased brother and kids out there home and were informed by Mr. lawson he hears these stories all the time and more less in so many words let me know i wouldn't be refunded.

John, Michelle, and the young woman (sorry that I don't remember her name) I started with. They were polite and helpful. They showed me the different sizes and were forthcoming with the price. I was glad to be told about the free month which was a great incentive. It was not the usual bate and switch. They were professional and answered my concerns. Although I may have overlooked it, I am unsure of the identification number of the unit that I secured. LOL. But I have the key and I will get my items in. Please let others know that the Uhaul WestBank/Dimarco Street, Marrero, Louisiana is wonderful. Thanks, Jazz Washington

This is the best U-Haul place I've been in a long time, or maybe ever. Highly recommended! They saved the day for me.

I don't like your lock policy. I had to pay a locksmith to cut a lock off. I could have cut it off in a more efficient manner! I'm a licensed electrical and mechanical contractor with different saws and tools.

Although the staff was helpful, the overall access process was very overwhelming. One of the access points was not working and the other access point which was located in the back allowed me in however when I got to the actual access door for my unit, it denied me access. The moving in process was very frustrating. In addition, the unit had a rat trap therefore I am concerned with rats going through my items. Overall I am very displeased with this facility however since I paid in advanced I'm stuck with it for now.

I put my furniture in this facility 2 years ago in what was supposed to be a climate control unit. However upon picking up my furniture I discovered my furniture to be mildew and infested with rat urine and feces. At this point I spoke to Mr John Lawson the facility Manager, that inform me that their air conditioner system went out that's why my furniture was damaged. At this point I was given a insurance brochure and was told to make a claim ,which got denied. I was told by insurance company Manager of the claims department, if there was a natural disaster and the lights went out Uhaul wouldn't be responsible, I was taken back by his response because this wasn't the case.My furniture got ruined by Uhaul' s being careless. I also told him hopefully in that case the customer would be notified of those changes because I wasn't notified of these changes . I very surprised on how Uhaul handle a situation that was caused by their negligence. My overall experience was horrible with Uhaul. I drove from Texas to Louisiana to discover my furniture was ruined. I wouldn't recommend this facility (Marrero,Louisiana) location to no one.

My only complaint is that they had accidentally checked me out awhile back and I was overchargted $36 for their error and I have never been able to recoup it even though I know that the manager tried to get it corrected. Corporate office has never sent me the money.

I have been a customer of this location since 2015. I am in a climate controlled unit which is rarely climate controlled; I do understand the meaning. It is miserable hot in my unit that several items have been ruined since they have been in there. Isn't that the entire purpose of climate control? I've gone in there and the thermostat reads over 86. The manager from 2015 was rude and obnoxious and charged my card without permission and caused me NSF fees. I also get paid every few months and I attempted to explain that to her so we could work out a plan and she would not hear it. So I am constantly paying these outrageous fees. I always pay my storage which usually costs me between $550 and $750 estimated. All depends on how my check comes in and how much I have left over or can borrow. I've been a customer for 6 years and one would think you would make the conscious effort to work with a long standing customer but obviously not. So my situation is changing and in the next couple of months I will purchase a storage unit and move away from Uhaul since Uhaul obviously does not value me as a customer it prefers the $75 to $150 in late fees over the original $139,95 ($1 679,4 yearly) then you became greedy and I'm sure Uhaul is using Covid as the excuse for the $10 increase in rent and now you stand to collect $1 799,4 yearly plus the outrageous late fees when you know 100 percent you will receive all rent monies from me. Greediness is what kills business and unwillingness to work with your good customers is what causes loss of customers and spread of bad customer service. Uhaul once was a name everyone respected and was proud to use and now we all look for alternative sources; ask yourselves why. Go onto the location off the west bank expressway in Marrero, LA where I am located and read the unpleasant remarks. I have called and complained numerous times. My father was in business since I was 2 years of age until the day he passed away at 75, I was 51. People still stop me and say they wish he were still here and what a great man he was and I could go on. That's when you know you have excellent customer satisfaction. I bet the Uhaul bean counters wouldn't receive shelter during a catastrophe from any white or blue collar workers.

Mr. John was super nice. The only thing I wish someone woulda verbally explained was that uhaul DO NOT Prorate anything. If you move out the storage a day after you paid you WILL NOT get a refund for that month.

It was terrible experience this time I was told I only found use a region Whitney or chase debit card Not my jefferson parish employees credit union card which I have used many times before at the u-haul company so that was terrible then I was suppose to get the first month free but they didn’t do it because I gas someone else on as a driver of the u-haul which I couldn’t inderstand u made the reservations together it was just terrible I will not go to that location ever again
