First of all if I could rate less than 0 stars I would. I called to reserve an equipment and was told it was available. I let them know what I was going to use it to haul, I got there and something that was supposed to be 10 mins turned into an hour. They didn't want to release the equipment because it was all new equipment and they had just received it. They argued with me about what I needed to use it for till I asked them to talk to someone else which they were hesitant about in the first place. After confirming, Denise tried to tell me the hitch I had wasn't the right one(I use the same thing every single time). She walks back in the building, locks the door(I understand they were closing but you can't do that while I'm walking behind you to figure out what the holdup was). The whole interaction was disgusting and I've never experienced anything like that before.

I have rented from Uhaul seven or eight times in the past and each time has been a great experience. This is the first time that I have rented from the Monroe Michigan Telegraph Rd location and I absolutely will never rent from this place again! I experienced nothing but complete disorganization and chaos causing me unwanted and unneeded stress. I'll start from the beginning. I went online and use the Uhaul mobile app to place my reservation a week prior to the date I would need the rental. It was all set. I had a confirmation number. I checked everything. It was all completely filled out and just to make sure I snapshoted it. Fast-forward six days and I get a call from the Monroe Store. They are calling me for what I think is a confirmation for the rental which would be the next morning, except for they say they see I have a reservation, but the computer will not allow them in to my account for details. At which time I'm told they need to create a whole new reservation; they do just that! After I hang up, I go onto the mobile app once again and lo and behold, there my original reservation, along with the new one Uhaul just created. I see a major price difference nearly $50 and I certainly don't need two reservations for the exact same time picking up at the same store and dropping off in the same town. Not understanding why the Monroe Store could not see the same two reservations on the app I called customer service using the 1-800 number; they as well could see BOTH reservations! The one I created six days before for nearly $50 less and the one the Monroe Store just created minutes before costing me all that extra money! At this point, the customer service representative deleted Monroe stores reservation and put a note under my reservation, explaining why they had deleted theirs. At this time my drop off location disappeared. I'm still not sure what happened to it. I had it set for a specific Uhaul center in Adrian, Michigan, but it was showing up is not available. The customer service rep told me to call back to the Monroe Store and talk to their scheduler and they would be able to put this location in as my drop off spot so I did and the scheduler in Monroe told me that they could not do it I would have to tell the agent helping me in the morning, where I wanted to drop it off at and they would type it into the computer. When I arrived at the Monroe location in the morning once again, the agent in the store could not find my reservation! I pull it up on my phone and show her. She says I don't know why I can't find it in the computer; I said well I don't know either, but this is the second time I've had a problem with you guys here in the Monroe Store not being able to find my reservation and this is getting a little bit frustrating! She said well I'm going to have to type it all in and give you another reservation. I said before you do that, let me tell you they did this yesterday and it costed me almost 50 extra dollars for your reservation, so if you were going to do that, I want you to make sure that I get it for the same price that I've already been promised with my confirmation number on your Uhaul mobile app! She puts the reservation back in the computer and once again it comes up nearly $50 more. I said see that is exactly what I was saying; There's a problem. She redoes the reservation once again and types in the cost I was promised line by line… the only problem now is she can't give me a drop off location!! Here we go again no drop off location. I said this is the third time I have asked for a certain place to drop this truck and this Monroe Store has been unable to provide it, everyone keeps passing it on to the next person I will have interaction with. She said you will have to call the place you want to drop it off and see if it's OK before you arrive so I left the store and I immediately called DH custom fabrication in Adrian. They said yes they absolutely would except the equipment when I dropped it off. I told them that I had a hold up at the Monroe Store and I was getting out about an hour later due to complications with my reservation and I probably wouldn't make it until an hour after they closed. I asked what I would do with the keys and it was explained to me they had to drop off box. I need to take pictures of the mileage, the gas gauge, the time I was turning the truck in and the location. I had 14 hours before the truck actually needed to be turned back in on my 24 hour rental. As I was turning it in and went to the Uhaul app to make sure everything was completed and I followed the checklist I noticed at some point they had scheduled me a different drop off location on the far side of Adrian about 8 miles from my house. I had chosen DH custom fabrication as it was only a mile away and within walking distance back to my house. I called the Monroe Store at that time and let them know that I would not be dropping it off at the location that was listed on the app, as I had repeatedly made calls and talked to the Monroe Store, multiple times, to make sure that DH custom fabrication was going to be my drop off location and everybody kept passing it on to the next agent/representative that I had interaction with saying that they would put it in the computer and that never happened. I told them I was done playing games I was at DH custom fabrication, so that I can walk back home! He told me that was fine. Just make sure that I took pictures to document everything and call DH custom fabrication in the morning and let them know as well; which I did!! I'm not sure how everything got so incredibly messed up, but my gas gauge was where it needed to be, I sent pictures! My mileage was right with theirs! My time was stamped from 7am on May 8, 2025 Monroe, MI (Telegraph Rd) to May 8th at 5:27pm in Adrian, MI 49221 I was charged extra… The amount of stress should have never happened and people helping me move were shocked at how confusing Monroe was making something that should have been extremely SIMPLE for a 48 mile move! Never would I rent from them again and I made multiple complaints with the 1800# to express my displeasure along the way! What a headache! Amy Jo Harlow

Over the course of two weeks, I rented two 9ft vans and one 10ft box truck. Each time, the staff at N Telegraph demonstrated exceptional attentiveness while being accommodating and helpful. All three rentals went smoothly, with no issues encountered, including an after-hours drop-off, extending a rental period, and a late pick-up. Merci!

My card was charged several times. Once for the full amount and again several small charges. In the meantime, my card was compromised and I had to fully shut it down. When I called the office the lady was kind of rude like it was not her problem and said I was owed $97 and change back and I explained that my card was no longer able to accept any refunds. She didn't seem to concerned. I wad double charged now for my rental with no resolution and cannot get up there due to my work schedule. I will most likely end up calling my bank and sending them the actual receipt and claiming I was overcharged by this company since no one wants to help me resolve this situation.

The truck had a check engine light come on, so I wasted miles, that I paid for, to bring it back to the station to have it looked at, just to be told "it's fine". The alignment on the truck was way off. The people I picked it up from were great. Just the truck had a lot to be desired.

I use U-haul because it's cheaper than owning a truck. Having the equipment available is great when needing to move large numbers of objects or like in my case a 400 lbs lathe. Move went smoothly with no damage to the lathe.

We were told that by renting a truck for our move from Tennessee we qualified for a free month rental. That was never mentioned when we got to Michigan. We was charged all most two hundred dollars be for we got to Michigan. Free month was never mentioned again. Was not happy about that. Just a way to get my business.

They had no power at Monroe location at time of pick up. Tammy Corley went above and beyond to get us our truck using her phone to check us through. When we were taking pictures another employee helped mark some dents in the bumper. Definitely recommend Monroe Mi. U-Haul.

When I walked into U-Haul, I was so stressed out, the manager Tammy was so friendly and so helpful! She went over all my options with me and helped me get the best solution I could've asked for! I am a truck driver, and I decided to downsize with only one weekend to do it, she help me get the truck I needed and the storage I needed , she understood the urgency to get it all done as fast as I could because I needed to leave out Monday morning to drive to Wisconsin. Tammy and the rest of her team were so helpful and I am so grateful to all of them for helping me get through a very stressful weekend!! I would recommend Tammy and her team to anyone Because they were very professional friendly and help me solve my problem and ease the stress of having to downsize in one weekend!! They are an amazing team, and I appreciate them more than I can ever tell them!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Manager is nasty and outright rude and lazy. Facility is disgusting and the storage unit buildings need repairs! Did not maintain building roof or floor making belongings susceptible to severe water damage and mold!! Do not utilize this location! If your belongings are here go and get them out and check for damage because of the staffs proven negligence!!! Worst experience of my life!!!

First off they held money (110,9$) on a canceled unit for just under 4 weeks after numerous calls. It wasn't resolved until I went into the location.. another deposit on the unit I emptied and notified the attendant on September 5th(Labor day) wasn't apparently closed on their records til the 9th. I called to see where my deposit was on the 14th and they told me the money was released but now here we are the 21st and the 119,95$ is still not in my account. I am not a happy man and I do want my money.. please call me I want this resolved yesterday.. my name is Jacob Burger the unit number was C173.. I don't want to waste my time taking this further. My number is 734 799 6zero 1 one

Rates became high. I had an end unit, the outside wall was rusted out at the bottom. All my belongings inside were covered in dirt, spiders, their webs and other debris. They put a mouse/rat trap inside my unit.

Staff was not friendly my storage and truck were dirty. They did not check me out of my unit- I took the manager out to show it was empty and clean- so I received a email saying I had a late fee and another months payment due. They changed the size of my truck rental and did not inform me so I had to make more trips and pay extra in fuel and borrow extra personal vehicles. It was an overall terrible experience.

We had the storage unit for about 2 years. Initially, the staff was unhelpful and uninterested, but the price was right and how much could it matter when my stuff is just sitting in a unit? it didn't, until about a year in, when i was "moved out" in their system and moved back in so that they could try to charge me significantly more than i had been paying. It took months of phone calls and phone transfers just to pay your company money. No one could fix the issue and they just expected me to accept that new rate. After 4-5 months and help from jessica (who is one of the only good employees i've come across there) my billing was corrected, but i never could make online payments again. When we moved out, the two women working were both friendly and helpful as well, with the unit and truck rental. however, we did have some mouse droppings in our unit. Overall, it was a hassle and not worth the headache to literally just set stuff in a room. I wouldn't use your company again for storage.
