Do not automatically charge for insurance at the location when I have not included it in my reservation as I already have insurance. This is called PADDING the bill and if not illegal, should be. Train employees to have a more positive helpful attitude instead of acting like their failure to plan, for my two-day advanced reservation, is MY fault. Provide a credit to customers who have to drive to another UHaul location to pick up equipment that was not available at location where the reservation was made online.
ERIC RWent to the place that was scheduled originally at 7:30 Am on Saturday, That store does not open on Saturday. The assistant from Uhaul could have cared less. We were sent to a second location and were told to go inside and get the keys. That location told us it doesnt work that way and that we need to get our key out of the outdoor lockbox. Uhaul could not find us the code for the padlock and once they did they padlock was rusted shut. We finally got it open, no key. We were then told we needed to go to a third location to get out truck. When we arrived the line was long, took them 20 minutes per customer, so we waited for an hour. The girl working there was overwhelmed and in a very poor mood, she was more frustrated than we were which we thought was not possible. By the time we got our truck it was 3 hours after our original rental time and we had paid hundreds of dollars to moving personnel that just waited around. We were told a manager would call us to assist with a refund and to hear us out. No manager called. You should change your business form moving houses to moving garbage because that is what your company has become. God awful experience and not one soul reaches out to take care of the customer. Meanwhile we are out of hundreds of dollars. Go to another truck rental service or use task rabbit, much better experiences.

My reason for using your company is because I'm presenting living in an efficiency apt now for 10 long years and I'm a shopper. Smile once I place my items here I can't shop anymore, per my son. WAYNE SI have been renting equipment from this location for the past 5 years; I've always had great experiences with the equipment and the customer service overall, that is why I kept coming back, bringing my business over here but today was like I walked into a totally different place; the person who I met this morning was very rude, he refused to assist with the reservation process, he was very confrontational to the point that made me feel unsafe, I almost left the facility but luckily before I did it, a lady walked from the back side probably after she heard his loud voice and his rude manners. I was able to complete my rent thanks to her but I'm definitely not coming back to this place, his challenging gestures outside the office made me think twice before I had to walk to the truck that was on the middle of the yard, I was afraid and nervous, my blood pressure went high maybe because of the emotional disgust.

Yusuf GI feel the rates on a 5x5 is way to high @ $92,95 per month. Most likely, I will shop around if I need a unit again. I am now in Oklahoma and the same unit rents for $56,96 at U-Haul.

douglas mThe truck had a strong marijuana smell. I'd suggest having a comment section as a part of picking up the truck using the Mobile app. The truck was clean but it had the odor. I wouldn't want staff to think I was the one that left the smell.

KATELIA REvery week the rules change the employees claim. It is very frustrating. My phone does not have a good camera and the cashier made me attempt to use it 3x instead of like the previous 6 weeks of rentals when a different cashier used their phone to take a photo of my driver's license. Then they called two of my contacts to make sure that I did not steal the truck, which was insulting. I have spent thousands of dollars renting with uhaul over the past few months.
KENNETH CIt is COMPLETE B.S. to require me to provide a second contact and for that contact to be called before the rental could be authorized. I have used U-Haul many times over the past 40 years and have NEVER been required to provide this information. Why not put a big sign over the counter "WE DON'T TRUST YOU SO YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE MOMMY CONTACT US BEFORE WE CAN RENT YOU A TRAILER." In addition, I made a reservation at the recommended pick-up location, and that location was closed for the day when I showed up to get my trailer. I was redirected to this location where I have rented before. Then I experienced the "call a second person" requirement...it was not a happy rental.

Elias TI rented two trucks with two furniture Dollie's and two hand trucks. First time I got no furniture Dollie's so was given an appliance hand truck which didn't fit my needs for the same price. The service is horrible!! The following week I finished moving and once again ordered two furniture Dollie's and two hand trucks and got neither!! Not one!! I'm not recommending this store for their lack of professionalism and selling Dollie's that are already reserved with credit cards by other customers.

The bathroom was dirty and never had toilet paper or paper towels, I'm sure it was because of the homeless. When I was moving out I met Donna who was extremely rude and terribly unfriendly. Other than all of that the unit was clean just not safe.

I went to the office to explain that we tried both cards and that the panel "sounded" like it worked but the gate wouldn't open and that I thought it was a problem with the gate. The woman I spoke with was only half listening as she was busy watching someone on her phone. Her solution was to issue me two new cards. As expected, those cards also did not work. I went back to the office. This time speaking to a different woman, who after having to explain my situation to twice, went it to the "entrance" gate and said "the gate works!". I had to tell her AGAIN that it was the exit gate that was the problem. She then went inside and used the computer to open the gate. This was very frustrating! I really hope the EXIT gate issue gets fixed. Thank you! This was not a good first impression.

It still didn't work until finally the young lady gave me her own code so I could actually use it to get in I would call the office I Was always referred to customer service. The entry security card made you feel safe. I had an item that was not manageable to unload without the help of a handtruck device, and they loaned me one to unload that item. Everyone was so kind and helpful.

When I asked Will why the $5 upcharge, he asked the manager. I was told because the unit I have is 9 feet high, and others are 5 less due to their heights. That is a classic bait and switch tactic. The sign should show exact sizes for the exact amounts.

VERY SAD !!!

Rochelle M | Expérience généraleEvery time I need to speak to somebody about my storage unit they could never pull up the m25 unit no matter what we did but every month I had to make that payment and got the late fees if I didn't have it in by the 17th. Even the very next day after moving out and I went to go turn in the truck that I rented they still cannot find my information that I moved out of the unit m25. Then on the day we did rent the truck which was the 16th the young man was in the office by himself trying to handle at least 12 customers at 4:53 pm.But I feel like because everything was a rush situation he didn't understand I was looking for a one-way versus having to drop it back off in Tampa. Then after realizing he gave me the one way he said he had absolutely no one way rentals at this location even in bigger trucks but I just feel like he was just trying to rush really quickly so that he can handle the other customers in the building.

The unit is listed as 9' high, but I don't have use of 9' due to pipes and a red line on the wall as a warning, that should be provided before renting the unit. 2. There are not enough carts in case multiple people are there loading/unloading. I went there to unload and a group had both carts, leaving nothing for anyone else. 3. People leave carts wherever they please, so they are not always in the front.

I just moved to Florida and don't know the area, I had all of my belongings with me. If I wasn't on such a time crunch or hadn't gotten rid of most of my big stuff I would have had to go to a different storage place. Because it wouldn't have fit. I was very disappointed in that.

No one would come over to the unit and help me. One month after I moved in I got a email saying I had the inappropriate lock I was locked out of my storage unit. And I just recently got another email telling them it's urgent I need to contact them they didn't like the way I locked my unit. Will never rent from U-Haul truck or a storage unit again

Which was further away, meanwhile I rented a uhaul truck prior which increased my mileage and expenses. I was on Budget and it through me off.. I shouldn't have to pay for extra mileage/gas/fees when I scheduled accordingly to my home. I should get refunded. 862 201 9322 if u can call me if this is possible.. See notes on reservation..

I had Many questions which she knew all the answers. The unit itself was clean. I did see a rat container thingy to capture rodents as soon as I stepped in the unit. It definitely wasn't something I expected. But I guess I should be glad they have it. I am very satisfied with my unit and the cleanliness of the entire site.

Mikayla S | Premières impressionsI made my reservation almost a month ago and when I arrived at the location, I was first informed the computers were down and I had to wait roughly one hour for them to come back up. When they finally came back up I was informed by the shift manager, there were no storage units available. I attempted to contact the store manager, but had no response. I next tried to contacted the GM from my cell a couple times to hopefully have the issue resolved, but no luck. I next attempted to call the GM from the store phone and she answered. I explained to her my situation, and she informed me she would make a call to the manager on shift, but never did. The GM was no help at all and never contacted me back to give me an update. Luckily one of the gentleman at the store noticed how frustrated I was because I was waiting for an hour for the computers to come back up and to then be informed there was no storage available. I also had a trailer to return and limited time and he luckily found me another storage unit. This was by far the worst UHAUL experience yet. Only good news was the gentleman on shift came through in the end!!!

However, when I arrived for my check-in I was told the storage unit I booked wasn't available. The unit I was given in replacement was smaller then I booked. At the end of the day I was still able to fit my things miraculously. The store was able to rectify the situation at the end of the day as well. The associates at this location were super understanding and helpful but the process could of been smoother.

When I got there the front person said they can see my reservation was made on 7-12-2021 but someone gave the stroage to someone else. That is my fault for agreeing to a first available unit on the second floor. An elevator may help a lot of people. Staff was professional and helpful. I enjoy storing items with your location as I have in the past as well.

I made a reservation on line for the biggest storage unit and when I got there the storage unit I reserved was already occupied. This caused me to have to get a smaller unit which makes my life more hectic than it already is, due to having to pull everything out each time I want something out of the unit. Not only that every time I book something with Uhaul the name that shows up on my reservation which is not my name but it is all my information every time the staff has to go in and fix it so it can reflect my name. It would seem as though it could be permanently fixed by now but it is not.

When I tried to leave my gate code didn't work. When I finally got out of the gate and arrived at the next facility, my coffee didn't work to get into the facility. By this time the physical office had closed, so I was forced to keep the Uhaul over night because I did not have access to a storage unit.

But the representative I worked with to check in was a bit rude when I explained that I already had a disk lock and did not need to purchase one. Additionally I was a bit confused with the insurance. I added it on for my first month and asked if I could take it off for the second to save a bit of money since for the second "month" as I will only be in the unit for three additional days. At this point I was told the insurance was mandatory even though it is billed as optional when I selected the unit online. It's completely fine if I need to have the insurance I was just a bit confused as that was the first time I heard it referred to as required.

And then when I was I think 6 days late moving out they tried to charge me for an entire month. Then Katrina told me to talk to Marcus to settle it , he gave me a price of half a month , a week more than I used , and then they sent me a bill for another half month even after I moved out a week before the half month I paid for . My worst experience with U Haul in over 50 years of dealing with them .
