CARLOS PThis truck smelled very strong like cigarettes. the heat did not work, the plug to charge your phone did not work. The drivers door did not close properly, the headlights were not aligned properly and so the road was very hard to see at night. This truck was in very poor condition.

Sheila I | Expérience généraleTwo things went wrong that caused me extra problems and time and weren't satisfactorily answered by the staff (Netra Bell and Colandra, and the Manager Torey): (1) I had reserved two 6-pack furniture pads when I reserved the van at 10:45 am on Friday 10-18-24, a month before pickup. These were on my preliminary invoice made over a month ago with Netra. They were not available when I showed up at 4 pm Monday Nov. 18 to pick up my 9 foot Cargo Van from Colandra. I had called Neetra earlier in the day (Monday 11/18/24 about 1:00 pm) to double check that the van was ready to pick up and that it had a full tank of gas and that the 12 furniture pads were in the van. The manager, on site, Torey, explained that they had given all their pads to an earlier rental customer = 48 pads (8 packs x 6 pads), and I would have to go to the W. Tennessee location to get any pads. NOT ACCEPTABLE !! Planning ahead is part of doing business. If customers have pre-reserved furniture pads then they must be available for the customers who have reserved them. I had to commandeer bedspreads and cushions and foam and spare rolls of insulation from my wife and neighbors to be able to cushion the furniture in the van. Torey tried to explain that the pads are first-come first-served, and that it wasn't his responsibility to go get pads if they ran out. NOT ACCEPTABLE ! (2) The interior dimension on the U-Haul website for the 9' cargo van are wrong. The inside dimensions are reported as 9'6" L x 5'7" W x 4'8" H, which is 114" L x 67" W x 56" H. The two rear wheel wells protrude into the width space, so that the true width clearance is less than 56" W, which was insufficient for me to lay both pieces of furniture flat on the bed of the van. NOT ACCEPTABLE !! I had to sling one of the pieces sideways with straps from the sidewall of the van to get them both in. This cost me time Monday night that I didn't have, and put the furniture in a more risky situation inside the van if I had to make a sudden stop or swerve. Philip N. Froelich 2764 Fox Hollow Ct. RICHARD BWhen we arrived around 10am, the door was locked and people were waiting outside and wondering what was going on. After 10 minutes, a car drove up quickly and went around back. Eventually, a man and a woman appeared inside with their food and drinks which they had apparently just went out to get. When the guy unlocked the door and let us in, he didn't appologize for the wait, nor were either of them very friendly to deal with. It was more like we were an inconvenience to them and they dont like working there and having to serve customers. There's no reason one of them couldn't have stayed behind to take care of people, but instead, they both left the store unattended so they could do their thing.
JOHN FI was overcharged. They billed me for gas and mileage, but I was billed in error. I filled the gas, and did not drive as many miles as they listed. I am in the process of requesting a refund for these faulty charges. This is theft.
CHRISTOPHER WPlease explain what to expect. I had the rental at the end of a hurricane and no electricity. I never noticed the text about the license. I dropped off the vehicle around 10 pm.I could not see much. The return process is time consuming. I was not told about either process. It would have been better to be aware of both processes.

ALICE HTorrey Walker is a horrible representative of this facility. He said that he was the owner, he's not. One of the office staff made an error while we were transferring to a different unit. Torrey called me during my work hours (1pm) and said that I had to remove my belongings from the current storage unit and move them to the new unit now. I explained to him that when we setup the transfer the night before with the agent, she said that we had our current unit until we came in and notified the office that we had moved. I asked him to review the cameras from the previous day and he would see that was what was told to us. He was belligerent and I told him that I would contact the police if I needed to. He said that if I didn't move my belongings out now, he was having someone do it. I had to leave work to address this. When I got there, my lock was removed and someone had gone through my belongings. I rented a truck and canceled both units and moved to another storage facility. Mind you, I was paid in full for both units. This was not an issue of nonpayment. He is a very angry person and as a woman I felt bullied. He would not accept that there was an error made by his staff and make it right. I would never do business with him again.

West Side Tire Company excellent. This review inadequate. I have real dislike for $20 fee for not contacting U Haul after drop box return. This happens after dark and under less than favorable conditions.

Rude manager, attempted theft to my unit and each to my right and left following an encounter with an unknown and random burglar/stranger walking the halls without any notice or of a concern when I notified after-hour answering service and no response was received or action taken to immediately remedy the security gate stuck in an upright position while 2 trucks remained, blocking driveway and the path of the gate. Arguing with customers is unprofessional, the exact opposite of what I expect in regards to Southern Manners and Mommas being proud of what their sons do. BLESS HER HEART: SHE'D BOX YOUR EARS IF SHE WERE WITNESS TO SUCH BLATANT DISRESPECT. LORD, BLESS HER HEART. Thank you Mr. KURKBRIDE for taking time to take my call. That was pretty horrible, especially since I'm still trying to contact them to resolve the issue. People moving certainly don't need extra tasks caused by lack of attention to detail or incompetency.

After over an hour the car was still there and I was waiting to move my stuff into the unit. The computer on your end showed it empty....had reserved it days in advance. Finally it got moved it. It was suppose to rain and I was unloading the truck myself. This put me in a panic since I did not want my things put in storage wet! Just curious how someone gets to park a car in a unit with no record in your system? I waited 1hr and 15 minutes in the hot sun for a my unit. Iwas very unsatisfied with my experience.

This makes me concerned about any liability between 16th and 24th. Other than that our U-Haul storage usage was a good experience and the location was well lit and easy to get in/out.

She gave us a map of the property and the available units and suggested we walk around to make our choice. Since we were also renting a 10' truck from U-Haul we were told we could return it there after unloading it and this would also qualify us to get a month's free rent on the unit. We walked the property and made our selection and reserve the exact unit and the price right then before we left the property. When we returned to move in, we were told the unit we had reserved (and had the paperwork as back up) not only wasn't available but the one that was available was considerably more each month. We were then also told we could not return the truck there. We asked if at the very least the price we reserved the unit for could be honored. That too was denied. We decided to cancel the reservation all together and find another location. We did. In that location they made good on all the promises made and did it with a smile and ease. So, I would love to say it was a great experience or even a good one. I can not say either of those things. It was unsatisfactory in the extreme. Regards, Cameron

Lora T | Expérience généraleIt is a very tight area, hard to move around in with a vehicle of any size and especially if you are carrying a trailer. It appears there are multiple businesses that are also running out of that facility so that makes it that more difficult to maneuver when you are trying to navigate in and around parked truck and trailers all throughout the property. We made a reservation well in advance and when we showed up from our 500 mile trip, there was not the size unit that we reserved available, I am certain this is a corporate issue and they don't care they are overbooking no matter what, it made things very stressful for a family moving from out of state. After a lot of phone calls with corporate and talking to multiple people that never helped at all, Thankfully we came to an alternative plan with the help of Torrey one of the managers (although inconvenient) we got 2 units on separate floors. We payed for "Climate control" for both our units, the climate control on the third floor was really only keeping the moisture out at best because it was crazy hot up there. Lastly, there was a business or rental office room on the first floor directly across from our elevator access that some young men always seemed to be in and out of throughout the day and night. The smell of weed coming from that place would just about knock a grown man down. A bad look for a professional storage provider. We appreciated the restroom facilities for the just in case emergencies, very grateful for them and the access in and out of the mechanical gate was very easy. Thanks Torrey for all your help, I know most of this isn't the best feedback but it's honest.

Then every time she said some thing and I asked her to repeat it (because the noise from the traffic was coming in the door and I couldn't hear) her she would just repeat it at the same tone so I still couldn't hear. The traffic wasn't getting any quieter but she wasn't getting any louder. She was basically pretty rude.

Especially, during the pandemic. Third, during a time I had to purchase boxes, the credit machine was not working. The young man that was in the office troubleshooted the issue from the control room to walking floor to floor to see if anything was impeding the door from closing. He was determined to figure out the problem. I appreciated this so very much. By the time the movers arrived, the elevator was working and I was able to move into my new condo on the day planned. I went and changed my gate access because I had reason to believe my co workers might have been coming after hours. So what did the front office do ,they gave one of my guys my new gate code so he was coming in and out as he pleased and they going to tell me I need to leave because he was coming in late at night when they gave him the code .which happens 2 be the 4 digit code for all of my important business. Including my home door lock. What a joke

LOLA B | Premières impressionsI am disappointed because when I called 1-800-go-uhaul, the rep informed me that I could get an air-conditioned unit for $139. I asked her to reserve it for me. Then, when I went to the actual facility to move my things in, I confirmed with the lady at the front desk that the storage unit assigned to me was air-conditioned, and she said yes. I then proceeded to my unit and moved my things in. I thought it felt too hot to be air-conditioned, so I went back to the front desk to ask the lady to double-check that my unit was air-conditioned. She said no it wasn't, and that I had to pay $169 for that. This directly contradicts what I was told over the phone and what she told me when I spoke with her initially. She did transfer me to an air-conditioned unit for $169, but now I have to go back and move my heavy things from the previous unit to an air-conditioned unit.
