Easy pick up and drop off. Quality trailer and easy to tow.

ORVILLE SChains were too low May have led to replacement of alternator in shamrock Texas at $900 Had to come by owensboro shop again to get lights going as none were working when I checked them again the next day for a 1700 mile trip. Left Owensboro shop the next day with no right signal working. Stopped in Albuquerque at an official dealer to have security chains lifted up and new pig pit on and lights looked at. They couldn't agree with leaving owensboro with lights not working. Needed lights so we would not be breaking the law. Still no right blinker Picked up micro fuses in Albuquerque in case. When we dropped unit off in Phoenix they also couldn't believe we were able to leave Owensboro with lights not working and security chains too low.

Christopher S | Expérience généraleEvansville U-Haul has 3 or more different U-Haul locations. However, NONE of them had 10ft or 15ft trucks available. I had to drive an hour to Owensboro Kentucky to get a 15ft truck. I left on a little under half a tank and I returned it on a little under half a tank. When I returned it to Jasper IN, I was still charged $25 for what I can only assume was being half a gallon short. Do better U-Haul.
Luis DWould highly recommend! They fixed the reservation and adjusted the price to what I was quoted. They even fixed the previous pick up spots mistake in pricing, issued an immediate refund. 10/10 recommend!

They treat you like family every time you go in there.It is very clean, and easy to access. This is by far, the best storage facility in town. Where else do you get the first month free, not like others where it is the second month. They also give you a free lock for your building. No administration fees either. They will help you with every situation that comes up.

ANDREA RThe signage clearly states "Stay in your equipment and someone will come out to help you". That's what I did. After 5 minutes, I went inside and one employee was helping a customer, and the other was just sitting in the chair.
CARL CI tried calling this location several times and they were busy each time, so my call went to a call center. Over the course of a couple of days, my call went to the call center 3 times, I think, and I was given different or incorrect information each time. I finally got a lady from customer service who was VERY helpful. She was able to have someone from this location (Parrish, Owensboro) call me back. After that, everything went smoothly. The calls to the call center were a horrible experience. I was very frustrated and cannot recommend talking to any one there. In the future, I will keep calling until I can speak to someone local. (It was imperative that I get info quickly, as I was racing against flood waters. I was VERY please to find out that the first month was free because of the disaster. My furniture stayed in storage 2 weeks and I did not have to pay anything! For that, I am immensely grateful! Merci.

David TNormally the location is excellent but a hail storm almost destroyed the building. When I arrived your team was functioning in emergency mode. Working out of a u-haul storage unit. They were getting the job done under the worst conditions. Regardless your team took care of business and got me under way. Only problem I encountered was a ratchet for one of the ratchet straps on the towing trailer had lost a spring and would not allow the ratchet to lock in place. Simple selution was to hold the lock in place while ratcheting to keep pressure on it. When I told them about the issue on the return the staff said they would replace the ratchet before the next rental. Give those folks a medal.

LE-CHARLA CTook over an hour to receive help with retrieving the keys for a mobile pick-up. On the phone with a local management they ended the call on me as I was talking and failed to call back. Mileage and gas was input correctly upon receiving the truck and then upon returning the truck the app didn't have the correct measurements. Worst experience. The staff that were performing construction cleanup were extremely kind and helpful. That's the only positive of the whole interaction. I will return there when I can be waited on by those employees I will never recommend mobile pick-up to anyone and will never even consider doing this again. Terrible. The management line is seriously not professional. These app measurements are not reliable. The employees at physical location deserve all of the credit for any positive review left.

kurt o | Expérience généraleI went to the facility because of damage from a hailstorm. They had tables and chairs set up in the loading area. There was a person that took me to my unit. He took pictures and explained the process to me. Other employees came to help. they repacked some items that were in wet boxes. I was able to use a cargo van to take some items to my house. the employees loaded the van, loaded the items i left in storage into a U-Box and discarded all of the trash. I was amazed at how organized and helpful everyone was. I will recommend U-Haul to my friends. Thank you for your help in this time of need.

Kimberly J | Expérience généraleIt took them a week to notify me if the damage to my unit. Once able to get in was able to save 10 % of the items I had in the unit. When I signed up over 5 years ago thought I had full coverage when I get there tell me I have $1 000 coverage which didn't cover my husband's medical equipment in there. I had a inch of standing water in my unit after a week. A year ago after a rain storm went in and didn't have any damage they told me then they were putting on a new roof. There idea if fixing it was a plastic sheet over it. The whole ceiling came in on my unit. I went to UHaul as it was climate controlled and thought my items in storage was safe. The only things safe was in totes. I lost my Christmas tree I just bought at $350.00. Antiques, generation of family photos and items. A painting my dad did who now is dead. I could go on and on. When they opened the door I started crying and almost went to the floor. Heard one woman screaming hysterically when they opened her unit. One gentleman had items from the 1800's that his family brought over from Ireland when they informed him he did not have insurance and he swore he had insurance on his unit. The adjusters were the only ones who told me they were so sorry the rest of the staff acted as they were put out and most were rude when I talked to them which was pitiful. I have nothing nice to say good about UHaul in Owensboro, I was let down by the quality of how they fixed the unit after the last storm.

I told the people in charge I would be cleaning out my pod on Friday 3/21 and now I am being told I cannot access my things because they have been shipped off. I don't even know where my damaged furniture is. No one knows anything and cannot answer questions.

Now that the recent damage, which occurred on March 14, has occurred, the facility has shown that it wasn't quite up to par. When purchased, the roof was not replaced, and K Mart had not replaced it for a long time. I hope some hindsight will make keeping up with the building's maintenance a stronger concern.

This past week I received notice that the massive hail storm in Owensboro damaged the U-Haul storage building it was a scary unknown feeling walking in to examine the contents of my storage unit. But, each person greeted me with understanding, remorse for what had happen we wept together then took a deep breathe and went trough the process. As I went through my treasures I thought how lucky I was because not all of my items were destroyed like the families of the floods and fires. I'm thankful for U-HAUL and the living caring people that embraced myself as we search through a tragic event as friends helping each other. Thank you Sarah for always being there to guide me through all life's events when I have had to use U-Haul. The best part you have selected and trained your staff of like minded people to care and love all of us through the process of needs from U-Haul. Always a thankful process.

I discovered tow accessories her location carries that not even Camping World carries…things I had been looking for! She even helped back me up to the tow trailer and get it hooked up to my truck.

The lone clerk on duty wasn't able to get my passcode working and suggested that I give it a day, as he had other complaints about passcodes not working earlier.

ANTHONY HSaturday January 11th I took the truck back about 4ish the young man working at the time took him 5-10 minutes to respond to me It was out in the truck messing with stuff took him 10 minutes to come in then he was in the side room when I came back in about 10 minutes to respond to me that's the only issue all the other employees responded to their customers in a swiftly manner unless they were with another customer and yes I choose you hard as my moving facility thank you for your business and your professionalism and then you have those few who don't but that's okay we all have them in the business May God bless you keep you safe in Jesus will be there when you ask him God bless

No instructions, large sign inside on the dashboard and not even a Thankyou. The boy doesn't seem to be too interested in his job. He's lazy!

KAREN SWhen I told your clerk about driving the truck that made me sick because of the cigarette smoke he said ain't nothing we can do bout that but spray fabreeze. I also was not told until I took the truck back that I could have it for 24 hours. Thought I was being charged by the hour.
CATHY BThe first truck I was given, I started driving and made it approx. 5 miles and the transmission felt like it was going out. Managed to get back to the facility and was given a different truck. I completed my move with no issues, but it seems to me that the trucks need to be checked out better before giving them to a new customer
RONALD CI made reservation in advance on the app and even went into the location in person with clarify questions beforehand. When I arrived to pick up app informed me of an issue. When I spoke to representative on the phone they informed me no key was left in box for pick up. I had to wait until store opened for help. This put me an hour and half behind schedule.

DANIEL BRented a car hauler and wheel had been replaced with a bad wheel. Drive was 8 hrs. Stopped halfway and noticed lug nuts on wheel were loose because of bad wheel. Had to tighten. The wheel was not a Uhaul wheel. Uhaul needs to make sure their equipment is maintained andsafe for renters.

CAROLYN NEvery single employee here has been so helpful to me in the 4 years I've had my units. If I needed them any longer they would 100 percent always have my business. They are so kind and caring and always helpful when asking questions. This place feels safe and secure and the ease of access is amazing. There were no issues with bugs or critters and my units even after 4 years of not seeing them in person were so clean and spotless. No dust, no trash, no dead bugs etc. you can tell they really maintain the property well and value your belongings. This is a great location with great people. Highly recommend

There weren't any carts the several times I went in the other doors and wasn't aware where they were kept until 2 months after having a storage unit.

Not once did I have anxiety thinking my valuables would be stolen in the unit. I loved having the insurance just in case but it wasn't necessary. Your staff was extremely helpful and kind. I loved having the controlled environment as some of my items would have been ruined otherwise. 10/10 highly recommend!!!

Thankfully I didn't bring any home. I paid for insurance on the unit but it doesn't cover pests. I think if people weren't using units as living spaces the roach probably wouldn't be an issue.

I called crying yesterday because stuff was stolen out of my unit not once did I cuss him or yell at him but he kept accusing me of it. I was never notified that the latch on my storage was broken and replaced or I would've went and checked it out. I did file a police Report. When I went to pick up a uhual back in September hat should've been my sign not to leave my stuff here but I did and I regret it. I would like someone from corporate to call me.

Sarah L | Expérience généraleWhen I called asked about 5 x 5 storage units, rhey said, oh yeah no problem we have lots, i went The next week to reserve a 5 x 5 storage unit 3 weeks before I need to rent it to make sure I can have one. When I went into rent One, they said they did not have any for rent. I said wait a minute, I explained that I called and then I went in and the guy made a reservation for one so I need that one. The manager said well the problem with that is our computers will show everything for rent, that they don't say what is actually for rent. Even if I made one reservation online it would still say we have them. When I explained who reserved it for me, The manager and the young lady said oh yeah we know who you're talking about he does that all the time. I said it sounds like you need more training. So the manager said we do not have a 5 x 5 but we have a 5 x 10 but it's $25 more a month. I am retired now so I be careful with my money. But she said rent a 5 x 10 because there's no first months payment and during that time we have a couple auctions on the 5 x 5 so will get you one. So I did but I thought the service was not good whatsoever, they knew who was on the phone and told me that and who reserved it yet ever he's not getting re-trained, he just continually does it. I have rented trucks and vans from U-Haul any where from Fairbanks Alaska down to Casa Grande, Always had first class service and all the facilities have been great and the trucks are great. Just disappointed here.

Then they rent you another unit that is in use by someone else. And there laughing about it while you have wasted all the time and then have to go somewhere else. Oh and the staff only say you had a reservation not a guarentee You didnt pay for it the fact that the 1st month was free means nothing Stay away from them

Then I asked for a 10 x10 and the rude woman finally gave me one and when we pulled around there it was in use by someone else. When we were leaving the 2 women at the desk seemed to find the whole thing very funny. While I am trying to get a shed and people I was paying to move my stuff were just standing around. I would never recommend those people to anyone that i liked.
