Your computer system collapsed just after I arrived at the store at 7:50 am. It would not accept credit cards from me and several other customers. So instead of a 15 minute check in, it was over an hour. The clerk whose last name I think was Alessi, was very apologetic and worked hard to basically redo my reservation to get me out of there .

WILLIAM KThe staff were either unfriendly, clueless or not with it. At both Spartanburg locations it feels like there is no one in charge and they don't know what they are doing. Hire someone who can manage and get rid of the ones who are clueless and careless. It is not that hard to tell someone exactly what kind of hitch and that you need a light kit on your hitch, and to not have to wait endlessly to be helped because they can't find the person who is supposed to be doing their job!
Barbara BBetter communication and need some helpful for check in and out. we had reservation almost more than two weeks in advance and as we get to the location, U-Haul person at the location without checking our reservation telling us we don't have any trucks available for us. we show her our online check in with truck number and she was keep telling us we don't have any truck available. she need to cool down and check the system before making any augment to customer.
NILESH PIt was set up very easy to drop off after hours, and the next day the staff was extremely helpful and caught that I had left my phone holder in the truck. Thankful he had the eye for that detail!

EVELYN RWe were pressured to take the tire coverage which was not explained to us before we got to South Carolina to rent We felt the tires should have been in good shape or the U-Haul should not have been rented out. That was unfair to do. We have never had to buy this to rent
RICHARD LEverything started okay until it was time to return the equipment. The price I agreed to is not what was deducted from my debit card. When I asked why, I was told that they put a two day hold on the rental and I was clear that I stated that I would have it back in several hours.

JAMES NI have been charged for 2 extra days, because a worker there was too incompetent to check me in when we dropped the trailer off. I called last night hoping to have the issue resolved, but quite the opposite happened. I dropped the trailer off on 03/09/2025 at 2:45. We waited by the check out kiosk but the guy ordered us the drive around and back it in to an open spot. I thought that was weird because it's never happened before (I always just pull into the drop off and the unhook me right there) I'm calling corporate to get this fixed.
Darby HThe air conditioning was out the last time that I was in the store it would be nice to have it fixed so that it was working and more comfortable. The next is to have enough team members available throughout the day so that there's not a line of customers waiting on two people to be checked out. Otherwise arrange it so that you can do your own self checkout and skip the lines

BILLIE TThe truck I drove wheel alignment caused the steering steering wheel to be positioned at an angle where you had to take your eyes off the road to look at the speedometer which is very dangerous. This should be repaired because you can't see the speedometer because of the position of the steering wheel.

When we went to move it out we discovered mice had gotten into the unit and left droppings all over the mattresses and box springs. We ended up having to throw out two twin mattresses and two box springs. We had to take them and find a place as we were not even allowed to throw them out in the dumpster at the facility or we would be fined. I was given the manager's number and I text her but she never bothered to respond to my text. Poor customer service!

Once I realized it was broken into she was so nasty towards me with looking through the video. She stayed the video only went back 1 month and was not willing to look through it. She continuously denied that it was my unit being broken into even though I watched them take my items out of the unit. She asked when the last time I visited my unit and when told she then made the remark "who doesn't go to their storage in 2 months?" . I use U-Haul everytime I need to move, but with the service I was provided I'll make sure that none of my friends or family ever use it again. I'm still waiting on a claims adjuster to contact me.

Malinda (I believe is her name) helped clear that up after speaking with 1800 customer service who couldn't even figure it out and I never got a call back from a store manager. Second unit was outside, my things were covered in rat poop and roaches dead and alive literally had to bomb my new place to kill everything. Prices could definitely be cheaper due to critters. This location is literally always 100 % busy with very little staff. Josh ( or maybe Justin is his name ) was always helpful anytime I needed anything. Facility definitely needs to be deep cleaned and pest controlled asap.
