I have rented a truck from U-Haul before when the local U-Haul was Platte Rental and Supply. It was much better then. My truck pickup this morning took 55 minutes and I was #3 in line. By the time I left there were 15 people behind me in line. God only knows how long they waited! The truck windshield was buggy and there was no windshield cleaner solution. I will go out of my way to avoid renting from U-Haul in the future.

CHARLES DThis was the 2nd time renting from this location. In the past, when renting a UHaul product from a licensed agent, I was shocked how rude & not willing to locate what I needed the agent was. Not the case @ this location. You're greeted the minute you arrive & feel like you're appreciated. Andy Baker & his staff are awesome & actually have every piece of equipment in the UHaul fleet ready to go. I will only rent from & recommend this location. Andy & this facility are a true asset to the company & community he serves!!
STEPHEN HI reserved a 20ft truck, they changed my pick up location which was out of my way, and they did not have the 20ft available so I had to take a 26ft truck, which they did give it for the price of the 20ft, but with this truck the 26ft it was a gas hog, I had to spend over $400 in gas, which I didn't expect! This truck did not fit in my storage unit so again an inconvenience to unload, the 20ft I was supposed to have would of fit. So I had to unload and have a different pick up to transport my stuff into the storage unit. What's the point of having a reservation if you can't get the truck you reserved!! Not a happy customer!

We had a terrible experience overall..

We stood in line for over an hour. My rating would otherwise have been "excellent". Employees were friendly and professional.

She was running two lines at the same time in a rush our situation and was very friendly and helpful. The yard guy was also helpful. Brooke on the help line was great during turn in in Clinton.

THEODORE RI had some bad experiences about 2 years ago. Made reservations and they told me I cancelled the reservation when they didn't have the equipment I reserved using the app. I decided to take a chance and go back. It was a great experience! They were busy, but were moving things along quickly. They had the equipment and is was in good shape. They even hooked it up to my truck and were very friendly. I will use them again soon.
JAMES RMy van , was not full of gas. When I check out of parking lot, the gage said 306 miles left to go on gas. When I came back with a full tank of gas. Meter said 407 miles to go before you need more gas. I paid 22,13 for gas and I m paying you 141x. So my total bill was $163.13. Also I order an appliance dolley, for which I did not get. So had a very hard time carrying the furniture. Also it took me about 45 min to checkout the van. So I'm not sure what to say.

John WThe staff was friendly, and the location was clean, but there were some serious issues. A security camera was missing from the elevator, which felt like a safety concern. The elevators themselves were extremely small-our reasonably sized sofa couldn't even fit. To make matters worse, they actually charge you to use the stairs, which is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, we discovered that someone was living in a storage unit just a few units away from us, complete with a welcome mat at the door. Certainly would not recommend.

Douglas CThe staff was great! I was able to change from a 10ft to a 15ft easily. The app was simple. It was my first U-Haul rental and it was very straight forward. The people were friendly. Even calling prior to book the reservation. Everything was a smooth process.
KANDICE BI reserved the 10' van to pick up at Porters in Smithville, MO (since Trimble location near my house showed none available) , but my reservation was changed to Tiffany Springs, which is an additional 20 miles one way drive for me, when local rentals are charged mileage. (i also need to note that a 10' van has been at the Trimble location since last week and has not moved at all... why was this unit not an option?). So, after driving the additional 20 miles to Tiffany Springs it then took over 45 minutes to get the van, as the location was SEVERELY understaffed, with only Victoria working in side with Nathan working outside, but Victoria spent half the time texting someone (using speech recognition on her phone) about how Nathan "wasn't doing anything correctly". By the time i had received the key for the van so i could continue on my day (90 minutes after i planned to have van from Smithville) i did a quick walkaround and saw blemishes on the van were all marked, so went about my day... while driving i then noticed the passenger mirror was not giving me a good view of my right blind spot (i did use it to back out of the parking spot, and it was good then). once i got to the loading address, i adjusted the mirror and moved on, but later discovered the mirror would quickly move again and become unusable. I don't understand how the Tiffany Springs location, an actual maintenance facility, would let a truck get rented that has equipment failure like this. I did point out the mirror to Nathan when i returned the van. Since i had to travel further to pick up my reservation, the team at Smithville put a note on my reservation mentioning i should be given a credit on mileage, since i would be driving this van extra miles due to the pickup being moved, but i never received any such credit. Please issue a credit to my card on file for this (Victoria at Tiffany Springs promised a $10 credit) else i will be required to file a dispute with my bank. Brad
BRADLEY BWhen checking in the U-Haul representative was trying to help two people at the sale time which led to additional delay. Also, there was a personal discussion at this same time with another client waiting, which continued while helping me. Then in it was disclosed the person helping on the lot was new and didn't know what he was doing.

VANESSA MUnorganized check in/pick up process. Took 25 minutes to get checked in even with reserving and completing all online check in steps. I am usually in and out in under 5 minutes. They also have odd rules for rentals that I have not experienced at any of the 25 + UHaul locations I have rented from (coast to coast and at least 50 rentals). This is my second time renting from this location and I should have learned from the first time. I will not make this mistake again.

Equipment has always been available when needed from this location, lot is large and easy to navigate in the equipment and it's in a cool repurposed hotel building.

ELIJAH MI rented a 10' truck from the Uhaul location off Tiffany Springs. The app had a glitch so I was never able to complete the self check in process for the truck. I told the person at the front desk and he said that was because I was supposed to come in to the store which kind of defeats the purpose of the self check in process. Lilly was really nice and gave me the key to the truck but I was still unable to do the check in process and upload photos and mileage for the truck so I just took pictures on my phone. I was told that I would recieve a text to check the truck in but I never got a text. When I got home with the truck and opened the trailer door there was a very potent smell that smelled like gasoline. We walked the back of the truck and noticed a spill that smelled like gas. I only live 3 miles away from the Uhaul location so I took the truck back because the smell was too strong. I told the ladies at the front desk and when Lilly went to go check the truck she said it was from the cleaning supplies they used but that it was very strong and potent. She did seem very concerned and said that I should get another truck. The other lady never offered any apology for the inconvenience or even acknowledged how dangerous fumes like that can be for anyone who is using the truck, but what she was quick to do is make sure she charged me for the mileage on the truck that I used to drive it home and bring it back. That was very disappointing and made me feel like she did not care about my health or the inconvenience that I just experienced. They gave me a new truck in which I looked over thoroughly before leaving, but when I brought the truck back I was charged almost $80 but I never got a receipt, physical or in my email or texts. And when I tried to look my order up online and in the app there is no trace that I had rented a uhaul that day anywhere. I can't find a receipt to let me know what I was charged for, especially since I wanted to speak to a manager about the mileage I was charged on the initial truck, and my order doesn't exist online at all. This was probably the worst experience I've had with this location.
Catrice HI have rented here before multiple times and customer service and equipments were OK. This time, I had the worst customer service and on top of it final bill showed overcharge.

KEVIN RHonestly if I had the time I would have selected somewhere else to do business. I was given a storage that would not open. I was then given a second storage that had the same issue. On the third time around I finally given a storage that I could access. When I originally purchased the rental storage I didn't receive a tour showing me where the storage was located. The entrance doors lock and unlock when they want. Staff is always watching instead of asking if you need anything or even saying hello.

This required manual entry of each reservation, even if the reservation had been completed on line. The rep apologized profusely and kept at it until it was done. I believe that her name was Jessica.

Of note, the GM was rude to her, and indirectly, to me. Her demeanor demonstrates a familiarity with his verbal abuse so I chose not to confront him right away. However, no one deserves to be treated that way.

I reserved the unit online but when I arrived to pick- up the u-haul, they didn't have my reservation. The u-haul leaked water onto my belongings and ruined my things, the storage unit was the wrong size, I had lost the key to my lock and U-haul was trying to charge me to have a locksmith remove it, the representative was rude and had an attitude. She tried to tell me that the lady I spoke with at corporate was gave me the wrong information and said I was not allowed to cut the lock of myself. I had a second storage unit in my name that I never asked for, and more. This place is a joke and I will take my business elsewhere next time. I would not recommend this storage facility or U-haul rental to anyone. By far, the worst experience I've had in all the years I have used U-haul.

You don't meet many people with that customer service and teamwork often and I met 3 on one shift at that location that all had exceeding expectations customer service. I hope Uhaul appreciates their staff and pays them well!!

A unit large enough to handle my storage in a heated location was not available. I had to take a larger unit than required in a non- heated location so I could unload my possessions and return U-Haul truck. I had to sort through and remove my liquid items that would freeze and make other arrangements for storing these items. I am seeking relief from you for this terrible treatment with this facility. Please call and discuss this issue with me, as I am very upset at your lack of performance!

I started the truck and when I got out of the vehicle the door shut but locked automatically. I didn't understand it but I called and they came to help me they were there and a half an hour. It was a lot of money to did I have to pay for it. I wasn't ready for that that was. The first time that the door locked automatically and I didn't understand it but you were there to help and I think you with all my heart.

The staff outside of him were professional though. I honestly hate that I chose that location and uhaul all together for my storage. I may not have ended my terms with them in the best manor but honestly after the process I had with them followed with the grand finally unprofessional conversation (or lack of) that I had with the manager, I was sadly just over it in total. I will say that the facility as far as the units were clean and again the staff were professional once you did get them on the phone but thinking of the manager and his conduct frustrates me till this moment.

It was explained prior to reserving that the elevators were being renovated. I decided to continue because the apartment I was living out off was literally across the street from the facility. Convenience kept my business. Transporting into storage was twice as hard without elevators.

I asked if they had an elevator to use, no not at this time it wasn't for use for the customers at this time. We would have to bring our items up the steps. But the General Manager was very helpful even though he was very busy.

Therefore, we weren't able to unpack that day. However, the staff accommodated time for me to unpack the next day while construction was still occurring. The staff was very nice, and accommodating.
