Took 45 min to get my trailer that's not acceptable. Arrived at 8am for my 8:30 pick up. Was only 2 customers including me. Did reservation in app but employee asking me same questions.so what's the point of the app? I can buy a car faster than renting a trailer from this terrible company. Customer experience is the worst I've ever encountered.

The Uhaul staff is amazing. I've been utilizing this Uhaul location for several years and I've not once had an issue with their staff or services. The manager Megan is superior with her service and willingness to problem solve . They will work with you if there's any issue and make sure to provide a safe and secure storage experience. when opened box door of truck was overwhelmed with marijuana smell. Truck had Arizona plates and was fairly new, so can guess what is was used for ....

Our rental smelled so badly of gasoline that it caused me to have a migraine that landed me at the ER. I called after leaving the site to complain and was offered a vehicle exchange but was on a tight schedule for the need of the truck. The vehicle should have never been rented in that condition. I have never had an issue previously with any uhaul rental.

The van I rented smelled so bad like a bunch of wet dogs had been in it. The surface had not been cleaned and steering wheel was sticky and filthy. Talked to employee when I returned it and she just said they had been having problems with that van. They just need to clean it. And half the windshield had nasty dog smudges all over it. Not going back to this location again.

I was overcharged for gas when I dropped it off. The gauge was wrong when I picked it up and the person checking it back in said I marked it wrong when I picked it up. Was charged $18 and only drove the truck ten miles.

The access times could be just a little later and maybe a touch earlier. Two shifts would be great considering one person could handle a shift alone easy enough. You could probably get rid of the security firm to pay the extra labor at a cheaper cost and possibly happier customers.

I made a double payment last year so I can pay on every first. It went well for awhile,then one of your staff members got it taken care of then we r at square one again. It's becoming a pain in the butt. I need to have your staff know that I pay on the 1st of each month.

I have been a customer of uhaul for years at the Yakima location. The staff goes above and beyond. I never worries about my thing. They keep the grounds safe and secure and handle any billing issues promptly and with knowledge and skill

I did an online reservation and payment yet it still took an hour onsite to check in. Staff was incompetent and need training! They were over staffed with none knowing what to do, just standing around. I rented at this location because of the drive in access to feel safe. But you can't use the drive in access because uhaul is using it to store their own vehicles. They told me due to theft and didn't know when drive in access would be available again. Why didn't you tell me that BEFORE I rented?! I literally moved out of one storage facility into this one for that very reason of safety!!! Ridiculous

The U-Haul team over on 64th Yakima ave. Tacoma wa. We're amazing, understanding, and their knowledge about U-Haul …..A+ I'm not sure of the name of the young lady manager there but she's a keeper her customer service skills and confidence helps because you never know why a customer has to use your services. I had a great experience with this facility. Every once in a while I needed access a bit later than 7oclock pm, but I managed. My one and only complaint is that when I was month behind (with late fee attached) and wanted to pay the past due balance and late fee on the due date of the following months rent to gain access that morning, I was told I would not be allowed access until the new months rent was paid as well. My situation was such that, had I been able to pay the PAST DUE amount and retrieve my tools from my unit, I would have easily been able to pay the amount that was not yet over due. I feel like the restriction on my access should've been lifted once the PAST due balance and fees were paid. And, had I allowed the day to pass without paying the rent due that day, I would understand being restricted again. However, I was unable to pay both the PAST due and due balances all at once. Therefore could not retrieve my tools, making it nearly impossible for me to recover financially and effectively causing me to accrue an unmanageable balance on the unit. It was very unfortunate for things to have gone this way. I will note that I appreciate the opportunity to retrieve my belongings from the unit months later. I was unaware that my things were still occupying the unit as I hadn't heard from anyone or received any notifications about missed payments or anything for months. Until the call about the "move out special". However, the bill that I'm saddled with because of the technicality or inconsiderate handling of the billing and lack of communication, not at all. Hopefully this matter will be evaluated so that future customers aren't lost die to similar situations.

Our door to the back trailer of the truck was stuck shut. We had to use a crow bar to open it twice. They had put this black paint stuff on the back and I guess it hadn't dried before they shut the back lift door thingy lol! So that's why it was stuck. Like glued shut. But! They did good and refunded us some of our time. They were great about the problem. The manager Megan was very nice and took care of us .

I was robbed after paying for six year never contacted and that didn't even care my mom and grandmas ashes were in there. They continue to try to charge me even tho they allowed a robbery that's had to have take days or several ppl I believe it was an inside job, Don't get a storage there

This place is great as far as safe storage is concerned the only complaint I have is that it's not 24 hour access like it used to be that's why I wanted a storage unit here.sometimes I don't get done working before 7:00 pm and I could still access my unit to drop off my tools but I can't do that .so other than that this place is great clean parking lot ,clean facility and clean bathrooms 0,5 stars from me .

You would have gotten "excellent "except that when I moved my belongings into storage, I wasn't informed that I needed to drive 4 miles from the facility to conduct business for access. Bummer! I was paying men to unload me and they did wait for me to return. Extra money! Otherwise, you're awesome! Merci

Honestly other then the actual access hours (I wish they could be more accessible) it was a great, clean and secure place to rent from. I was even super late before and they waived my fee to help out. So that was nice as well.

Had two sofas in storage waiting to be reupholstered on a wait list 3 months went by and I was the next in the list . I had until one pm to get them to the shop or I was to be pug on the bottom of the list .,and they would go to next in line . Went to storage got my truck in but the sliding glass door was locked ,because no one was there . Called they said oh ya we couldn't get someone to show up today so they sent someone from another facility. By the time the got there I lost my place . So this whole purpose of using the facility was a waste of purpose and money!! No access on the hours stated on the contract

This facility is not staffed. Very difficult to get a hold of staff in North Tacoma who manage this facility. No one ever answers the call box to help you. The rates have gone up extensively being too high for the average client. I will never rent storage from U-Haul again. I've gone to local mom and pop storages in Tacoma.

The hours of operation were fine. The building, especially the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. This facility needs to be manned at all times so that customers can ask questions and so that all the doors will work. Checking out of the storage unit was a complete pain, first I have to wait on hold for 30 minutes to talk to the first person, then I get transferred to another person after being put on hold for another 5 minutes, then I was told there was nothing he could do to assist me with checking out of my unit and that I had to go to another location in order to check out. I went to that other location and checked out in less than 2 minutes, didn't sign any papers or anything. This process should have been handled over the phone instead of this crappy process.

I got a completely raw deal. The rental facility neglected to inform me that the storage facility closed at 7pm,and reopens at 7am, after taking till 6:30pm to finalize my rental, with a truck that needed to be returned by 7am..... Now 3 hours for a callback when it was supposed to be 10 to 15 minutes?

We had to stop at three uhaul offices after picking up the uhaul because there was a check engine light and tire monitor light before we travelled from Alexandria, La to Leesville, La. The first location visit after the lights, in Leesville, after prodding, the code PO 442 was found on the vehicle. We were advised to call the 1-800 number and wait for someone to come to the uhaul location to check out the vehicle. Lack of being able to get through to a mechanic over the phone, we googled the code and found that it is an evac code that means that the issue could be anywhere from an insecure gas cap to tube issues…the advisement was to correct the cap and drive for a few days in order to determine the issue, after the code is cleared. The first associate stayed long enough to check the code but did not clear the code. We fixed the cap, checked and confirmed that the tire pressure was correct and drove for a couple days. By the time we got to Albuquerque, NM…a couple days later, we met an associate named Joshua. Joshua took the time to explain every issue with the vehicle and how to determine if issues were worsening and we needed to ask for help. Advising us that the code could indicate catalytic converter issues and how to tell if that was the issue. He reset our vehicle on the tow dolly and took the time to explain how to properly use the dolly and cleared the code for us. His customer service was exceptional. We continued to drive, the evac code did not return but the tire monitor code kept coming on. The tire pressure did not waiver the 5 PSI, we kept driving. When we arrived at the Tacoma Uhaul, it took prodding, to be helped with removing our vehicle from the dolly. Overall, being the first time using this service, I don't believe that either of us are willing to utilize this moving service again. The storage service is very good, as well.

While the facility was clean and accessible, the staff was basically absent. U-Haul 1-800 customer service set up the reservation for us, and instructed us to go directly to storage. Problem: there was no accessible staff at storage. The callbox went unanswered for nearly 20 minutes. A fellow customer informed us that entry required a keycard and the only place to get a keycard was at equipment drop-off, which was a separate facility. After we obtained our keycard and returned to storage, it took another 20 minutes before our keycard worked and we gained access. It then took another 10 minutes waiting for an answer on the callbox for staff to introduce us to our storage unit and provide us with a lock. Meanwhile, we observed the exact same problem with three other customers: difficulty in obtaining keycard, difficulty gaining access, difficulty finding staff. Additionally, a loud security alarm went off multiple times. Did that mean evacuate? That there was actual theft in progress? It was very unnerving. All in all, a frustrating experience. If you're having trouble hiring staff, then increase your pay. Workers are out there if you're willing to pay a living wage. Don't get cheap.

Very nice and secure storage, very friendly helpful staff. Only down sides are: When restroom is out of order, there are none others nearby. The access hours aren't the greatest, and don't match up with acess hours on the website.

My storage unit had 3 break in attempts, and 1 successfully broken into where things were stolen for hours. There is no security 24 hours, the cameras they have have immense blind spots and wouldn't be capable of picking up a license plate or description of a thief. Only after my unit was broken into did they put UHaul locks on the doors which they said they were going to do weeks prior. My rent was raised while I stayed there which was absolutely ridiculous and my move out process was unorganized and I ended up with charges after I already moved out and notified them. Not sure who's running this place but they're not doing a very good job.

Due to a large move we have needed to use U-Haul over 10 times in the past two months, the only bad experience we have had has been arriving after a long hard day to be told we have to return the rental somewhere other than the place on the agreement. This made us a little gun shy. The person who redeemed it for U-Haul was the young guy at this facility I am reviewing. He went above and beyond, was extremely helpful, had the perfect sense of humor to be dealing with exhausted people. U-Haul is doing such a good job we are going to buy stock in it. Didn't get the young man's name at the storage facility on Yakima Street, But a big thank you and shout out to him for making our lives so much easier on November 18, 2021!

The unit that I rented has 2 locks and a unpaid rent notice on it, so was not ready for me to rent. Was told that it would be ready the following weekend and that they might prorate next months rent. But the employee at facility was helpful and friendly. He tried to contact people to correct the problem.

Repeatedly asked them to stop calling me and to stop calling me at my work number they refused to do so. Told them that I can no longer pay for the unit. And yet I was continuously billed for rent and contacted multiple times after telling them to stop. I will never use U-Haul rentals ever again

The email I received after paying for a storage stated that my access hours are between 5am to 10pm M-S but on Thursday 7/1/21 around 8pm I was denied access to the building. My access code would not allow me to enter to store items. I wasted fuel, time, and energy packing items and driving to the storage facility only to be denied entry. I called customer service, and after 45 minutes of waiting in queue I was told my access to the building ends at 7pm. I was also told I needed to call the local facility to inquire about 24hr access. I also called 11 times and left a voicemail the after hours contact James who did not answer his phone. It would have been nice to have all this information included in the initial email I received containing my access code. This has been a very horrible experience.

Lock was not provided in the storage as I was told. I had to drive back to another location out of therapy and had to go get lock from uhaul Location which was very frustrating and inconvenient. Lock should have been in unit like promised I had to leave my storage unit unattended while I drive all the way back to retrieve a lock for my storage unit.

We could not access the unit upon arrival. We completed the online process and entered the access code and it would not work. We had to drive to two separate locations in order to obtain a swipe magnetic card. We called uhaul and were placed on endless hold (over 1 hour). Uhaul phone service is a joke. Not only was the process confusing and extremely fustrating, the storage facility was misrepresented. I purposely bought the unit at this certain location under the impression it was open 24/7. And where did I get that information?, the freaking location website. Green Zip ties on the unit. Did not indicate anywhere to remove it fir access. Spent 31 minutes on hold before I spoke to CS to find out I could remove it. The CS didn't know anything about the free lock special!

All advertising for this storage facility was 24/7 and that is not the case, I would've chosen a closer facility if that was the case... there's never anybody there at the location. The location and cleanliness is what saves this place as well as customer service over the phone, they were all amazing.

The cleaning lady was really nice and helpful on several occasions. Also, the maintenance men helped me with a stick unti door which they were lifesavers. Thanks for the great experience with U-haul and it's team.

I just had a house fire. Then someone broke into the garage where I had anything salvageable left. They stole a lot of stuff. I decided to use this facility because it was 24/7 access(supposedly...it is not) and it was down the street... I am driving from arlington where I am staying with my sister. We had to have my three kids watched and my sisters 3 kids as well and we only had the one day....get there and they say storage hours are only until 7pm....the pull in garage type doors are out of order. The access panels keep saying that access is denied. At this point its like 620pm and we still have at least 3 more loads. Im packing up anything left from a fire and looters and i only have 1 day. The person on site was actually nice and contacted the DM to ask for extra time for us(without us knowing) and let us have access until 10 pm. I also called the corporate number and they didn't really offer anything except to call the manager...But had i known any of this I would have went to public storage and paid $1 for the first month instead of 120 or whatever it was. Will definitely not be using this company again.

When we first rented the storage units, we were offered indoor loading areas and bathroom facilities. Over time, the indoor loading areas were discontinued and the bathrooms were locked. several times on the weekends, the main loading doors were locked, leaving us only a man door to load sofas and large furniture through. The floor was always dirty in the hallways and the carts were rarely cleaned as well. On top of that the price was raised. My wife never felt safe there. There was no direct line to contact anyone about the problems.

Everything stated Access Hours Sun-Mon 24hours, this is not true, is 9am -6pm Sundays and closes at 7pm all other days. I couldn't access to move in on a Saturday at 7:20pm. No help from Uhual when calling, GM wouldn't answer as posted on signs on the building. Couldn't move in until Sunday Morning 9am, access doors for loading and unloading weren't working, it was raining could only use front door with 1 cart. It's a mess and un professional. Would never rent from them ever.

The online process gives you instructions but when you arrive it's a disaster my code did not work, I pushed the button to call for assistance no one answered. I ended up calling the number to another location because no one is on site. I still couldn't get a hold of anyone so I had to drive another location that actually had people there to help me. Wasted my time and a huge inconvenience.

Unable to get the units we reserved at 96th & Pacific. Had to go to 12th&L to do paperwork and get keys, then back to facility at 64th&Yakima. Caused additional time ($) for movers we had hired to unload truck into facility.

When I first rented at this facility it was because the access was 24/7. I leave my house at 6am to go to work and get home around 6pm so I want something with hours that allow access hours that are convenient for me. At some point the 24/7 access was taken away and I never received any notification this would be happening. With my works hours and the new access hours I could not access my unit Mon -Fri. There were many times the doors didn't operate correctly, especially the doors for the drive-in bays. I moved all of my stuff to a different storage with better access hours.

I'm really disappointed because when I decided I wanted to rent a unit here I was under the assumption that I was able to access my unit 24 hours a day and was a huge factor in me wanting to choose this facility but once I sign my agreement and got my unit I was notified that they changed the hours to 7am to 7pm .... with my schedule it leaves me absolutely no time to be unless to access because I'm at work during those hours if I would if known of the change I would of never rented here . And retrying to talk to customer service is a joke. Haven't been able to talk to anyone to resolve this

.We were supposed to pick up the trailer and 11:15am. We called the Pasco location at 11:30 to make it was there. The phone was not answered by them but was directed to the customer service line. Who ever spoke to us was very rude and said we were late picking it up and yes the trailer was there!! Guess what? When we got there the trailer had still not been turned in by the previous renters. The employee was very apologetic and explained that the trailer would be there shortly and it did arrive about 15 minutes later. The staff was very friendly and quickly washed the trailer and hooked it up to my explorer. My husband noticed an odor but he assumed it was the chemicals used for cleaning. When we got the trailer back to the house to pack up, we opened the trailer and it still stunk. We finally realized it was a very strong marijuana smell. We assumed the previous renters are to blame. Now that we have unpacked our house hold items in Tacoma they all stink of that awful smell. We could not bring those items in our house so we had to rent a storage unit till the smell subsides. The customer service at both locations and the storage unit were very professional but I was not to happy with the person we talked to at the call center. The tow strap was broken, so I have to go to katy location to get it fixed. Yet the guys, at the katy location Excellent help. Got to tacoma and the charge us for 2 extra day, we drop a day early

There's no way to contact the employees inside this fortress when you arrive... No sign, nothing. Many many doors but no way to enter unless you already have a unit. Keys don't always work either.

These unmanned storage units are a joke. It is SO HARD to try to reach people for assistance, not to mention the time you guys cut my lock to my unit just because another tenant says it was theirs.
