BRIAN AQuick and easy. Made reservation online which was simple. Went to store and change my mind on the size and they were able to accommodate without issues. Super quick to check in for rental. The only issue is all the pics needed to return the vehicle
Tia VSetting up the reservation on-line was quick and easy. Pick-up the next day was smooth, the manager at the West Allis location was very friendly and helpful, I wish I could remember his name and it's not on the receipt. I rented the 15' truck, which was perfect for my needs. It was all my garage items, tools, generator, jacks, ladders, mower and more. It was a heavy load and the truck was smooth riding and got about 12 mpg down to TN. I've used Penske twice in the past and this truck was way more comfortable and there wasn't a governor on it so I was able to make good time. If I need to rent a moving truck again, I will use U-Haul.
Mark SQuality of rented equipment is excellent and reliable. Great price also. It does seem the location is understaffed to handle large demand, which can be frustrating, but the U-Haul manages and does not faulted with the responsibilities despite that large demand. Appreciate all they due in this demanding role. Merci.
MICHAEL PThe truck ran well and no issues except that the driver's side door did not close entirely. The upper portion of the door seemed to be bent outward and I could actually see light through the gap. This created a loud noise during the long drive as the wind vibrated through the gap. This was very annoying over a 1700 mile freeway trip.

Steven HI was given a truck that was "Empty". The attendant at the West Allis Location told me that because I was taking the truck with "0" gas, if I returned it with 1/4 of a tank, I would have my bill credited for that amount. When I got to the Grayslake location they guy said that U-Haul never gives a credit or refund. He did charge me for the extra miles, but refused to give me a credit. I am not sure where the breakdown in communication is with your locations. When my wife initially rented it the attendant on the phone said it came with 85 miles, but I see I was only allowed 67 miles and was charged for 24 additional miles. This seems like a total "bait and switch" tactic. I will not use U-Haul again and will definitely recommend my family and friends look around and choose another supplier.

Edgar MI got charged for 48 hours rental of the motorcycle trailer for being 1,5 hrs late on the return. 25,5 hrs of rental, how about a grace period......
BRIAN MMade reservation for 8' pickup truck and motorcycle trailer via the U-Haul website. U-Haul website indicated there were had both in stock and ready to rent. Upon arrival the 8' pickup truck was available but there were no motorcycle trailers at this location. Was asked to wait or come back later in the same day for another customer to return a motorcycle trailer. I found another close by location with a motorcycle trailer available, but it didn't have the 8' truck available. I rented the truck from this location and drove it to the other close by U-Haul to rent the motorcycle trailer. After paying for the trailer I was informed the truck I was given did not have a trailer hitch installed. Also when renting the truck I was told to bring it back with a quarter tank of gasoline, I did so, confirmed the gasoline was at the appropriate and agreed upon level when dropping it off only to have a extra missing fuel fee charged to my credit card after leaving the location. I would highly recommend NOT giving this U-Haul location your business as there are deceitful and relatively incompetent.
KENNETH SI rented an enclosed tandem trailer. I liked the app where you could upload pics before leaving the rental yard. I also liked the clerk asking if the rental needed any attention. Before leaving I took a pic of a burnt out marker light. I also mentioned the problem to the return clerk. Another nice feature is previous damage was marked with stickers. I liked the app rental feature. My rental was reserved so there was no risk of not getting my rental equipment. It was less wait time at the counter. Will rent from again.

ROBIN WThe truck I used needs a wheel alignment badly the steering wheel was basically turned to the right to make the truck go straight. That caused issues with attempting to keep it straight. Truck should've never been able to leave the lot like that.
DAYTON DI have been to this location several times, and never had an issue. This past time, however, I was never allocated the equipment that I ordered, and so I could not pick up my truck when I needed it. The customer service phone line tried to help, but instead reassigned a truck to me that was parked in by several others.
Jeremy Hi had a very pleasant experience with Michael at the check-in counter and as well when i returned the motorcycle trailer. The young man who's named i did not get was very informative and helpful when he attached the motorcycle trailer

GRANT GThe person who checked me in was not very helpful explaining the charges on my rental. Could use some lessons on verbal skills in communicating with customers. When I returned the vehicle there were several vehicles in the the "return" line with customers waiting in the vehicles as were stated on the instructions on a sign. After quite some time and no one coming out to the vehicles as the sign said someone would, I went into the building that smelled of marijuana and encountered two employees in the store alone just standing and shooting the breeze with each other and not assisting anyone. I was asked if I was returning a vehicle, I said I was, I asked if that was is and was told I was done. When I left the store people were still in their return vehicles and the employees just stayed in the store watching the people.

KATHLEEN Whad a disappointing experience with the U-Haul location at 924 S 108th Street. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location or their team. Additionally, while U-Haul informed me that I needed insurance for my items, they failed to clarify that different types of insurance are required for moving, movers, and storage. As a result, when my belongings were damaged, I applied for a refund only to be informed that the damage occurred during the moving process and that I had not purchased the appropriate insurance for movers. This situation feels almost intentional, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of clear communication and support throughout this process.
Rafael SThe truck was smaller than the advertised size. Description said 15 foot, actual size was 12~13 feet. I've rented at other U-Haul locations and the 15 foot truck is 15 feet. The back of the truck was not swept, there was a lot of dark brown dirt.

When I was there at the time I moved out it was busy and the staff didn't have time to even check out the truck. Getting staff on the phone has been IMPOSSIBLE. So then to get an email re a late charge was a disappointment.

The gate wouldn't let me, and another truck, out. I was let in but was told that, when I tried to leave, it was after hours. I never had looked at the times in the fence because the paper I was given said it was 24 hour access. It took an hour to get us out. Later on, I spoke with an employee who said it used to be 24 hours, before CoVid.

Once we got to the unit everything was fine. Uhaul, this app is a disappointment. I should have been able to finish the process with the first lady ON THE PHONE.

I confirmed this a week ahead of time and when I checked in there was only a unit with a regular door. It made me change plans after I already had the load on a truck to move in, there were no more units that size available, so I went to another storage company. That company only 0,3 miles away had bigger units, and cheaper storage. Thanks to terrible customer reps I ended up getting a better deal because I was originally going to rent 2 units from Uhaul. However I will say the woman working the business that day was very apologetic and it was not her who made the mistake. Thanks for helping me save money

GRANT H | Expérience généraleI was disappointed at the amount that they charged me due to the fact that I returned it without taking the photograph of the gauge, with returning the truck due to the fact that they didn't tell me I needed to take a picture of this or whatever and so when I returned it ahead of schedule, I was still charge for the 24 hours plus some! so with that being said, I was not too happy. The gas wasn't a problem. Because, the gas was the same amount that was use.

I had a reservation for a unit that I placed a few weeks ago and when I arrived I was told that it was given away. I then had to pay quite a bit more for a larger unit because it was the only unit available. The customer service was good and the unit was good, low stars are due to cooperate's new policy.

Said waiting on other customers. so we tried to get another truck but they wouldn't comply. I had a reservation for my truck at 11 am. Well finally 1pm Finally got a truck. Played phone tag with the u-haul place. at one point they cancelled my reservation. While I'm still waiting for a truck. I have never been so frustrated in all my life. I have people helping me move and all they had to do was wait? The man at west allis u-haul was nasty. I will never recommend u-haul again.
LORI R | Premières impressionsMy storage unit got messed up twice! They said system errors. Then, I had a very poor experience with renting a uhaul. I didn't receive any indication that I needed to be there within 15mins of my pick up time. I was stuck with a uhaul that was 6' shorter and caused me to make 2 trips to move! Which equated for more mileage! They never reimbursed me for that extra mileage! That same day, I went in to pick up the uhaul, I was upset about the cancelation. I know I wasn't disrespectful to the lady, however, her husband, the GM Jose, embarrassed me in front of a line of people by yelling at me and threatening me!! I would hope this company would know having a husband and wife work together at a location can cause this exact issue to happen when things don't go exactly right. This location has made several mistakes and never once took ownership of there mishandling of my storage unit and rental issue. They just blamed the system. When you are a GM of a location, you need to conduct yourself that way! Jose definitely failed at that and caused a scene for no reason! He is a poor example of a leader. No leader should have an outburst like he did!! Very unprofessional!!

Jacqueline V | Premières impressionsThe employees at the location of the storage facility were helpful but I had to take a day off of work to drive there in person because no one ever picked up the phone at the location. Every time I called I was rerouted to an offsite customer service rep that would state they couldn't help me because they didn't have access to the accounts at a different location. Tried chatting online and was also told that only a rep at the exact location could help. Leaving messages didn't help either. I would get a voicemail with the general number to call back and no one would pick up again. Tried calling corporate and would sit on hold for 30-40 minutes at a time and then have the same experience. While the face to face employees were helpful, the experience I had moving was horrible with this company. I had to go between 3 locations to get a truck and storage facility and then the size that I ordered wasn't available even though I had paid for it online with a credit card already. Miscommunication from the company only created more issues with trying to relocate out of the area. I have driven over 200 miles extra to deal with issues from moving and using the storage facility. Horrible experience.

I needed this size and was not permitted to go bigger in size even though this was not my fault. Smaller didnt really work for what i needed.

When I got to the facility, I was told I'd need take a cart back-and-forth to fill the unit, which I'd never had happen before. I ended up having to rent a different kind of unit I could drive up to. I reiterated that I had furniture and boxes from a one-bedroom apartment. When I got to the unit, it was only big enough for a few boxes. I had to go back to the office to get a unit that was the size I requested.

Terry R | Expérience généraleI feel that the prices are very high. The facility hours could be an extra hour. There is never enough staff always have to wait. I ran late four important reason and when I got to the facility I wanted to make sure that I could check out before the staff left. I think they should have oh way that they can access the key and let you be able to still use it since technically it is my last day until at least 10 or 11 because technically it still is my day instead I was locked out from being able to leave and the gentleman inside the desk was not helpful to my friend who went to tell him to let us out. Luckily there was a another employee that was outside other facility that was able to access and help us leave but we still had a couple big things to pick up and we had to leave it outside of the gate because of not being able to still have access. I don't think staff should have to be there to make sure that the unit is clean if I'm paying . They should be able to clean it out the next day that should be their job. We also rented a truck at one point and it is really misleading when they say $19 and some cents for a truck but by the time you include the miles and the hassle of bringing back the truck it was not a quick drop off there is a procedure and very time-consuming I feel that it is very expensive. I guess in a time of need and no one else has a truck a person has to be convinced that this was going to be an expensive rental and realize that they have to close their eyes about the expense of the truck. This is my opinion.
