I do not feel that there needs to be improvement. The staff was friendly, informative and diligent. I needed a trailer quickly and they not only were steadfast but they did the hook up and made sure everything was working. %100

Eyad A | Expérience généraleThe drop off of my trailer was fine. My problem was with the wiring harness installation. First, they didn't have a direct connection harness in stock so we paid extra to have one expedited. When we showed up for our appointment they didn't seem to remember ordering us one. Thy hitch guy comes in with an obvious universal fit harness and says "they sent the wrong one". He assured me however that he could put the universal fit harness on in less than 3 hours. I told him I desperately needed my car today so if it was going to take longer than 3 hours, then I could just wait to have it put on in Boise, ID where we were picking up the trailer. He assured me 3 hours. Well, 7 hours later, I go back because I still had not received a call. The guy tells me he was able to get it hooked up, but had to "get creative to make it work". He shows me my battery and he's got all kinds of wires coming out of it and tells me there's a 15 amp fuse there that if I lose my lights while driving to just replace that. He says "You might want to take a handful of those fuses with you on the trip." Because I was 4 hours behind in my day I didn't have time to argue I just took the car. When we got to Idaho and picked up our trailer, low and behold, no brake lights. The U-haul location there was able to help us find a location there that had someone to fix it. The technition there found that the brake lights were never hooked up at all and he said the brake lights wire still had the original cap on it. So the guy at Wichita Falls never even bothered to hook up the brake lights. Thankfully, the guy in Boise just removed the entire wiring harness that Wichita Falls had put on and installed PROPERLY the direct fit harness. The technition even asked me if I had put that harness on myself and when I told him another U-Haul did it, he said that was totally unacceptable work. Thankfully, U-haul honored it's harness warranty and I was not charged for the second harness. It just baffles me why the guy in Wichita Falls wouldn't just let me wait and get it done in Boise when he knew he was not going to do the job right. If it wasn't for the team in Boise, this would have severely impacted our plans and could have been downright dangerous. I love to write good reviews and most often avoid writring anything negative about anyone, but this incident needs to be addressed because this type of substandard work could get someone hurt. I'll drive to another town to rent a U-haul in the future, but I will not do business with this location again.
Timothy HThe storage units are old and not maintained. Everytime I came I had great difficulty in getting door open as it was old and dented and paint was peeling. The rope to help open was rotten and kept getting shorter and shorter. You raised the price at least 3 times in the 2 years I was there. I moved my stuff to a climate controlled new unit sized 10x15 for $5 more a month. Your units are in serious need of updating and or replacement

When I dropped it off I turned it off the guy came out to check and I didn't want to turn back on and he said wow it has notes of the engine and they kept bypassing so now it's dead . So was it good yes God wat he'd over us and let us make our trips and do what we need to get done and wow. ThankGod we didn't break down

JHON TI would arrange the boxes to both sides of the entryway rather than being on the way as one enters the facility, allowing a direct path from the door to the service counter. Not only would it benefit the employees' visibility but also provide a more welcoming experience.

PIERCE FOwner had a bad attitude and facility had a rat infestation. Reason of me leaving was for the fact of the rental fee was constantly being raised even though I was patronizing your facility for an extended amount of time. The rental fee was becoming excessive for the unit.

MARK MWe initially rented a storage unit from Uhaul about 4 months ago and when it was time to move out, we discovered that our unit was infested with rats. They had urinated and deficated all over our furniture, mattresses, boxes (inside and out), and chewed holes in some of our belongings. If that wasn't enough, we had rented a uhaul truck to move out and when it was time to return it, I was supposed to be charged for $67.92, and they ended up charging me $205.00. Every time you call up there, they either don't answer or they put you on hold for 15 minutes until you either hangup or have enough patience to see if they'll actually answer. The call center is no help and the manager of the location didn't do anything about our storage unit when I had him come out and see for himself. He claimed that if we would have purchased the insurance then it may have been covered, but my question is, how would it be covered by insurance if it's uhauls fault for not maintaining their facility and spraying for pest control? I have plenty of pictures to back up the damage that was caused to our belongings. We had to buy brand new mattresses because of the urine stains all over our other ones. Now we're out $800 because of uhauls negligence. Not to mention, we haven't even bought another couch yet to replace the one that was ruined, or any of the other things that were damaged. Uhual should be held liable and I will never recommend anyone to use this location. They're incompetent, careless, and money hungry.

I am 65 years old and it was hard moving appliances with an ordinary dolly. It was false advertising. If they didnt have it they should have said it when I placed my reservation online.

DANIELLE SThe truck rented did not allow a refrigerator to remain standing. The description said it would hold a 1 bedroom apartment, but this isn't true, as the refrigerator took up 1/2 of the truck since it had to be laid down. Wasted $100 when we could have just used a pickup.

I had to load everything by hand, which extended my time for the trip. Forcing me to pay for another day of truck rental. The staff was competent and friendly but I'm not impressed with a U-Haul being OUT of dollies.

I had to bring my own lighting to move around safely inside the dark unit. I rarely came when the automatic sliding doors worked but the friendly staff always came out to help get them opened. The staff deserves an A+. I would definitely rent here again.

Previously I had called this location checking on storage that would fit a 26 foot loaded U-Haul truck. Trinity, the clerk checked this information, but apparently did not hold a storage unit for me as when I came in to retrieve the storage I had to get two smaller storages. Because I only need these two storages for a week I was fine with it. She did however, recommend Wichita Falls Movers. Brandon, the owner has been phenomenal in meeting me at this location and unloading my belongings into the two storages. The manager was very kind setting me up with the two storages as well.

The employee said the lock came with the rental and should be inside the unit already but if it wasn't I could come back. It wasn't in the locker but I went back and he was super helpful in getting us that lock. However trying to get into the building from inside the compound was difficult. I had walked back to the store while my husband started unloading. I had to swipe out the gate to get into the office. Then swipe back in through the gate. That was the only issue I had. Otherwise super easy check in process, nice unit, helpful staff, and just all around great experience.

I had boxes that got water damage an other items that were covered in dirt. When I went to move out, the dirt was so thick I couldn't stop coughing. Had to hurry an get a drink of water. But for over an hour later,I was still coughing. Was definitely a problem with the seal in the unit. Made a claim but don't know if I'll ever hear anything from them. I paid to have insurance on the unit,something should cover my damages.

Climate control storage shouldn't have those issues! We moved our daughter's stuff here right after college as she was debating on moving back to the area permanently. Staff was friendly, front office was clean, etc., but we were extremely disappointed when we went to move our daughter's stuff out. She didn't store any items here that would attract critters but on top of every box were lots of rodent droppings, large spiders clustered all over the floor and three shelf units seemed to have been a comfortable home for the rodents... Long term potty spots that soaked into the shelves. Super gross!!! We've had a storage unit for many years in Houston and have never found rodent poop because they keep it well maintained and up to date with their pest control. If I would have known the poor upkeep and lack of pest control we never would have rented here. Again, I don't like leaving poor reviews but the truth is important.

He jumped right in and to see what I was looking at and help me to understand the difference between what I was looking at online because it was saying climate control and then indoor climate control and so it looked like it was actually two different things which he let me know that it wasn't and he got me in the unit and explained everything to me in details that I would understand. I don't remember everything you said just because I'm old but he was very helpful. I have my unit now. Ready to put my things in from Oklahoma this coming Friday. I appreciate it. His customer service. He was very patient. Very kind and very good listener and being able to answer all my questions.

There was plenty of space that allowed me to unload without blocking other units and the complentary cart was super helpful as it reduced the number of trips I had to make between my unit and my car.

I attribute the high quality of this particular UHAUL business with their manager (Mario Hernandez). Leadership like his is what makes the difference. And trust me, I probably have set some record for the number of UHAULs I have utilized in my lifetime!
