The general manager Amanda L. Is rude and unhelpful. She is very abrasive and acts as though helping customers is a burden. She gets nasty quickly and with no reason. I will never use U-Haul again and if i ever have choice it will not be at the location.

Unprofessional Conduct at Yonkers Location On April 16, I made an online reservation for a 9' cargo van at the Yonkers Saw Mill Parkway location on behalf of my boss. (#70670794) As I was at the desk retrieving the vehicle, I was shocked to learn that the reservation had been changed to my name without my knowledge or consent. (#70685330) (I learned after the fact that the reservation had to be under the name of the person physically picking up the vehicle. However, I was never informed of this policy, nor did I authorize any changes to the reservation.) As a result, when my boss needed to keep the van longer than expected, it created unnecessary complications. Since the contract was under my name, I was the one being contacted regarding the rental, while he-being the actual driver-had no way to manage the situation directly. I had no relevant information to offer, and this entire issue could have been avoided had the reservation remained under the original name. Worse still, Paola's behavior was completely unprofessional. Rather than simply stating I couldn't complete the pickup due to policy, she altered the reservation and then, a few days later, proceeded to threaten me on the phone, stating that she "knew where I lived" because she had my license on file. This is completely unacceptable and crosses a serious line. Frankly, Paola should have been terminated immediately following this incident. Additionally, the woman working the early shift-whom I spoke with at 9:15 AM on April 24-was equally rude and dismissive, reinforcing the clear pattern of unprofessional conduct at this location. This kind of behavior is beyond unacceptable, and reflects extremely poorly on your brand. I strongly urge you to take action and terminate.

I would rate the staff excellent , very kind people, but the truck was empty with no fuel and the driver side molding was missing ,so my ride was noisy and couldn't hear the radio. But I guess a vehicle with 140 000 miles can't be perfect..at least the staff were very kind, so I would recommend the place most definitely.

All great...but vehicle had excessive play in steering which could be problematic at higher speeds and situations of maneuvers at an instant for unexpectedly and inexperienced drivers could be in danger....- but not bad ..told attendant..

Still with the home field location in Yonkers. Better staff quicker. I've rented about 30 trucks last year and for the 1st time they charged me a $15 cleaning fee I called to ask about it but wasn't worth the argument for $15 bucks. Will never go back to that location. Maybe you can reimburse me

The only issue I had throughout my storage stay was I had no control over when the monthly fee would increase instead of remaining the same from when I signed up.

I went twice in four days and encountered the elevator being broken. Since the elevator is vital to moving items this is not acceptable. To me it is a management issue. Maintenance is obviously lacking. It also is not very clean and I am aware there were people living in at least one unit.

It would help if there were extra workers to help the customers with furniture if it is only one person alone doing lifting and moving and have no help. I fell from the storage unit and hurt myself pretty bad. Nobody came up to ask me if I was okay or if I had any help. That's the only thing I wish uhaul had.

The facility is smelly and dirty and the "climate control" is not consistent. The lighting is inadequate as well. The price is good but I would not recommend storing any nice furnishings or anything of value here.

Things that need improvement - cooling (it was very hot on my floor) - false advertising of UBox containers but don’t provide the service - doesn’t email back when I email from the app - no solutions to not having a UBoX and asking for a courtesy truck to move my storage items into a truck to then find the nearest UBoX. - overall my experience with the NY/NJ U-Haul area has been abysmal compared to my time in the south. - Yonkers and the Bronx and the scheduling department lacks care and professionalism and solution oriented approach for its customers.

Had some issues checking in my storage outside of office hours so I was forced to wait to the next day bit I was helped with a free extension which did make up for not being able to claim my reservation.

The hours to access your unit are horrible. The price is to expensive. I found a cheaper location to store my things which also has pretty good security. Double the size of the unit for what I was paying here at uhaul for less money monthly. I also paid the rent for my unit here and moved out the following day, I feel like I should be refunded.

Employees disputes are poorly handled -primarily because management is either unavailable or completely disengaged regarding customer concerns. There is simply no incentive for the employees to perform basic tasks such as closing an account or printing a receipt. They don't care; care being the operative word. I would never use Uhaul again or recommend someone else.

Karina Diaz was the absolute best! Had it not been for her things would have been disastrous! My only regret is that I was not aware that I could have been associated with her from the beginning of problems that could have been avoided, like my unit being damaged by water. Instead I depended on other workers that promised to attend to the problem and did not! She is a "Gem" though. Would not recommend anyone I know unless they had direct access to her.

This branch is better organized than the Homefield location. They put a little red sticker on my card that had my unit number. Nice touch. They look like they take covid seriously with barriers and the charge card units 6 feet away from the staff. I really liked the Yonkers location. At Homefield I've had to go to in 6x to fix my card. I hope the 7th time is a charm. Staff allowed a customer to stay in store without a mask yesterday. Horrible. Please get the Homefield location to take covid more seriously there is a rise coming. And help them with workflow regarding fixing swipe cards. A customer should not have to go back 6x to get the same issue fixed. The Yonkers location has their act together.

I had 2 storage units, one for 3 years and the other for 5 years or longer. The facility was ok as far as cleanliness. Could do a better job with extermination- vermin and insects. After emptying my unit, I found mouse droppings in boxes. The elevator was broken for several days which was a huge inconvenience and no compensation was offered. I had to walk up the stairs with furniture. I would not recommend this facility. The rates increase consistently every year and you're at their mercy.

I was waiting for over twenty minutes for the on site staff to open the unit I just purchased. When I called the front desk, this kid had apparently forgot all together, then tries to give me an attitude about the fact that I was calling him out on his unprofessionalism.

Unit was big enough and helpful but I was located on the second floor and it was extremely hot. Zero AC. That def needs to be adjusted n fixed. Because I was sweating a lot while moving in n same as for moving out.

I travel 48 states and yonkers franchise appear disconnected from 47 of them . I'm not sure if its policy but in one instance yonkers is doing their own thing . Overall thank you for the time we shared . ( at least correspond w/ your bro franchise in chicago ).

I've had many problems with this place. Its hard to get staff on the phone and if you do get them on the phone, its because they are calling you because you're late on a payment. They'll keep calling back to back till you pick up when they want their money. I've been a customer for years and several times they've done repairs or upgrades and had debris from the ceiling fall all into my unit. I paid my unit late once and they left their lock on my unit for 3 weeks. They charge a "maintenance fee" for cleaning the storage facility but some how debris always made its way in my unit. Especially when they installed the new air units on my floor. This is also not a 24hr access storage facility.

there are ways today to screen people and make sure they don't miss-use the space (sleep over etc.) so that regular users won't have to pay for after hour access or get stuck coz it ain't working.
