When I got there, they didn't have my return and didn't have my storage unit. I had to go to a different location for both. I was treated very well there at 150 Oroyan Av in Eugene, got my rentals turned in and a nice storage unit. But hey U-haul, you guys dropped the ball for me.
CATHERINE DEverything went very smoothly. The gentleman upgraded us to a 6 by 12 and waited an hour for my wife to come look at it! He went above and beyond!!!

EVE HI usually use the 7th Ave location but they did not have the equipment I needed. River Road location is WELL stocked with trailers and trucks. A great team of friendly folks and efficient at their jobs.

ADAM MRented a flatbed trailer for hauling lumber. The U Haul dudes had it ready, hooked it up, and safety tested the lights. Really easy process, great service. All for $30. Drop off is incredibly simple too. We will be back!

TERRY SAbsolutely Terrible Experience - Never Using U-Haul Again Rented a trailer for 11 days and returned it an hour and 40 minute past the return time-got charged for a whole extra day. Customer service? Zero help. I was basically told, "Gotta go with what the phone says," which is a flat-out lie and the bearded guy knew it. No flexibility, no understanding, no respect for loyal customers. It's not about the 100 minutes-it's about how they treat people. That's the last time I rent anything from U-Haul. Never again.

The team pointed out there is a uhaul "where's waldo" in some of the great America images on the side of the truck. That was fun to learn!

LUIS RMy rental trailer was blocked in by another trailer so after making me wait another 10 minutes while they changed the contract I got my trailer. Once the trailer was hooked up, the technician took his pictures and let me leave. 20 yards later another technician is flagging me down because the trailer wasn't locked into place. The technician had left the hitch mount undone. They retook pictures to prove it was correct (AGAIN). Trailer was already dusty when I picked it up, when I dropped it off they said it was dusty and would be charging me a cleaning fee. I've rented 100 trailers from Uhaul doing this same trip and have NEVER been charged a fee. I'll bet dollars to donuts they passed that dirty trailer off on someone else and hit them with a cleaning fee too. I'll never rent from this location again, they're downright thieves.

BRIAN CI appreciate how hard the staff work to help us rent a trailer. We assist our children's high school team during the season and haul equipment to competition sites. This Uhaul team helps us weekly during competition season and they are wonderful.

MARNA PThese guys were awesome!! However, I was supposed to drop off at the 7th Avenue, Eugene, OR and those guys were JERKS!!!! I pulled in and a very annoyed man was sitting outside looking at a trailer. As I pulled up, he said "what are you doing?" in an unfriendly tone. Assuming he had the information that a trailer was being returned and it obviously being attached to my truck - I said "just returning the trailer". He proceeds to say that they don't have any F'ing room for it and I had to go somewhere else. He then barked 2 different street names. Granted, I have lived in Eugene my whole life, so I knew exactly where the "Franklin or River Road" locations were. However, if someone had just moved here, they would have no idea that they would have to drive almost 20 minutes to a different return location. Super unprofessional! Again - the River Road location was awesome!
Debbie TTrip was 7 miles total and the paper said the tank was on a 1/4, never looked at gas when I was getting in the truck, but had to put a bit of gas in after the trip and didnt quite seem right, like it was way too much for the trip and how the truck was handed off vs what was listed in the paper.

ROY BThe staff was fast and friendly. From the time I walked in the doors they had the paperwork done and the trailer loaded within 5 minutes. I was pretty impressed. The only things I would fix is where the trailer was parked. It was a really tight squeeze getting the trailer out, I can see someone hitting another trailer or truck. The other thing is the trailer had a bunch of sand in the bottom. It wasn't a big deal just sand got on the equipment I was moving. And I was nervous I was going to get charged for returning a dirty trailer.

Pretty upset about the damage to my things in the uboxes since the movers were recommended/hired through U-Haul and didn't pack correctly. I had mold in some boxes with liquids that got flipped and they packed a bag in a way that it fell out upon opening of the ubox and shattered all my glass containers inside.Thank god no one was hurt.

Customer service is friendly and helpful. Checks if all my questions are resolved before disconnecting. The app is not clear about why the first month free deal needs to be arranged by the dealer. Customer service explained this and told me to go talk to the dealer who would then give me my first month's rent free. I had the former invoice with me but he was able to look up that information on his computer as well. He was very nice and welcoming. The facility was clean and easy to navigate with the map. He explained all the details about access hours and inside locks very thoroughly.

HADEN M | Expérience généraleAll the staff was wonderful except for one. His name is Michael and I recently found out he is a regional manager. Over a month ago on one of the hottest days of the year. I was having trouble loging out of my unit. I saw two men down by the office entrace and spoke loudly and asked if they worked for U-haul, as there was no indentifying clothing. Michael stride was angry as he approached me and told me and demanded I speak to him respectfully. I questioned that response. He went to the key pad and held his hand out to hand him my key. He was angry and I declined. He then threatned to cancel my storage contract with U- Haul if I didn't comply. He was insulting and angry. If I had my pepper spray on me I would have used it. I also have a witnese to these events. I jumped through many hoops to send an email to the appropriate person to lodge a formal complant. Never hear back. I have owned companies and I am a consumate business woman. This type of personality does not deserve to work with the public. Thank you, Coleen Rimer 503-780-3165

I would've kept my 5x5 storage unit if it didn't cost so much was the problem. $65 a month for something the size of a closet wasn't ideal. The only thing that was a problem was there is a low spot in the pavement right in front of this unit leaving a mud puddle. When it does not have water it leaves a layer of mud that you cannot avoid unlocking the unit, or stepping in and out of the trailer. This means you always track mud into the unit, and I have slipped and almost fallen several times. It also means the door strap is green and slimy all year as well. It would be wise to address the puddle in front of this unit before you have a liability issue. Other than that, our experience with the facility was great. Merci.

I used storage for over a year and fell behind on payment when I fell ill. They worked with me rather than just locking the unit and auctioning my things like most other storage rentals would do.

RETA V | Expérience généraleWhile the facility is in top notch condition I still feel the storage facility is not safe. We had a unique situation were our worker left our lock unsecured. The only people who know it wasn't secure was employees as it appeared completely secure and locked. Needless to say our unit was ransacked and anything of value was taken. Insurance covered nothing because it was an error on our part. This facility is well lite, far from vandalism and vagrants so I'm sure you know it was not some random act. With this said, no I would not trust my belongings here, especially valuables. It looks safe by all accounts but it is not as safe as it appears.

I needed pads and furniture dolly but the person/persons were not on location when I picked up truck. The vehicles were very dirty and were empty on fuel. I got no actual paperwork to carry. If I didn't have to move that day I would have paid for a round trip rather than go through what I did. I would rate Junction City it would be way below any business standards but again, Kudos to employees on River Road!

Marcel C | Expérience généraleEveryone in the store and the facility itself would get a 5 star review. however, the process of trying to reserve a storage unit was a complete disaster nightmare dumpster fire purgatory. First, two weeks before i would need the unit, I called the facility after making my online reservation. I spoke to someone at the physical location and they said that they did not have any available units and he didn't know why they allow reservations to be made when they're at capacity. He said to call back in a week to check. A week later i called the same number and it went to a call center. the call center said they do not have access to check availability nor can they contact the actual store. They said that for some reason that uhaul takes reservations but they are on a first come first served basis… Which makes zero sense. at all. All i wanted to do was to speak to the same person i spoke to the week before but the phones were all being redirected. The people at the call center all told me that they were not able to check the information i was looking for. Someone i got through to told me he suggested i just keep calling till i got to the physical location. I expressed the urgency of the situation but no one seemed to care enough to find a way to help me. A few times, the person in the phone said they would make a note to the facility to call me. Three times, they said that they made contact and that i would be getting a call in a few minutes. That never happened. Finally, i reached a higher up member of the staff and they understood my urgency. FINALLY i got a call from the physical location. I said "do you guarantee that on (date) that this storage unit will be vacant for me to put my stuff into" and she said "yes". I will never use u-haul again. the fact that you can make a reservation but it is first come first served is actually insane. something needs to change here. I'd like to once again make it clear that the people at the store were so kind and helpful and the facility itself was very clean and usable. My comments are only for the structure of the company and how the call center is handled.

We filled a dumpster with our belongings and the rest will take hours upon hours of cleaning to salvage. There were also two dead rats in our belongings and everything smells awful. I've had over half dozen storage units in my life and never had an issue like this. Management has to do something about the design of these storage units. There is no ceiling above the units , it allows rodents to get in and out at there will ruining your belongings. We never would have stored our things here if we knew this is an issue. This is not an acceptable storage facility. We spent thousands on our two units over the course of a year and a half. We thought our belongings were safe. They were not. We are very disappointed.

I walked back up to the counter and said I just reserved a unit. Why tell someone that there are NO units available if there truly are. Word of mouth is better than any form of advertisement, and I assure you, I've let others around me know about my experience and frustration.

His attitude was not like I encounter with so many workers these days, one where the worker communicates what is almost disdain for actually being called upon to do his or her job. He listened when I spoke, engaged me intelligently and patiently and communicated the essentials of the process clearly and with a smile. His performance of his job set the stage PERFECTLY for entering a sparklingly clean, well lighted, secure and easy to navigate storage area. I was glad to note also that this is a fire sprinkler-protected facility. That may not mean a lot to many readers, but for someone who worked in the field of fire and life safety for 40 years it made me feel even better about the prospects for the safe storage of the goods I'll be putting in the room I rented. I highly recommend any persons interested in renting storage space in Eugene at the very least visit this property before putting your stuff anywhere else. A renter known in some parts of the universe as The Bluesterman

It was almost everywhere. I was told that someone had brought one in and it had gotten loose. Unfortunately there's no ceiling so the rats got right into my storage unit.

I was informed by the facility they they would not cover the damages. I would not recommend storying anything there that you want to keep in good condition.

The fact that I was a customer for nearly four years is a testament to the fact that this storage location is hands-down the best storage facility in the Eugene/Springfield area. To begin with, nearly the entire facility is indoors, both heated and cooled year-round. Few (if any) other storage places offer this important feature to protect your sensitive items from wide swings in temperature. In addition, the location of this storage facility is easy to access and features plenty of parking and a full range of services related to your storage, including moving trucks & trailers, packing supplies, and more. Need I say more? Not only does this storage facility has clean restrooms for customers, it is well-kept and and staffed by a friendly team of hard-working individuals. I simply can't recommend this storage location enough.

JANE H | Expérience généraleGreat storage place, safe and secure, temperature controlled, but in the end management was not cooperative because we were going to use PODs for moving cross country. They wanted to place the PODs as far away from the front in the back which would have been inconvenient for loading and if it rained (this is Oregon) damaging. I stated my displeasure and said we spent a lot of money renting 2 units for a year and half to protect our furniture and now they just want throw our furniture out into the parking lot for staging and loading. In the end they put it in the front but as far away as possible. I even offered to cover PODs name with a tarp or they could have parked a truck on each side. Fortunately it did not rain and it worked out other than the extra distance to load. As to the employees they were great, helpful friendly and not bothered by PODs.

I requested a 10 X10 and had a rental at another facility that I cancelled bc I was told it would be the same. We showed up and it was a 10X7,5 with a column in the corner. Very unhappy with the storage experience and would never reserve with UHUAL again.

janice c | Expérience généraleWe drove a 26' UHaul truck from IL to OR & arrived at Santa Clara about an hour before closing to do paperwork for our storage units. I pre-registered for the largest unit & a lock online but at the facility they only showed a lock order. Thank God they had 1 unit left to rent to me. Then the polite assistant manager tells us the sliding doors would close in about 45 minutes & we'd have to move the contents of the 26' truck through a door (maybe 36" wide). We unloaded the truck as fast as we could & left the facility at 9 minutes to 10pm. It was absolutely insane! I gave the assistant manager & facility an above average stars but the Uhual website & UHaul corporate rules a below average score. How can they lose an order for a 10x15 unit but keep a $13 lock order? Obviously things are different here because in Chicago we'd have 24 hours access (so we could unload after hours) maybe they should tell customers that important fact when registering on line for their unit. I guess since my order for my unit was lost UHaul didn't know that it was important to tell us there was no 24 hr access & we'd have to unload a 26' truck through a regular 36" walk thru door. On a brighter note...the 26' truck was newer & drove wonderfully...so Thank you!

When I asked why I did not recieve an email in advance to warn me of this inconvenience, it was brushed off. The manager did reimburse us for this cost, but this whole issue could have been avoided through communication. I would have delayed my move if I had known the elevator had been down for the past 3 days.

We had to come back multiple days with our trailer because the elevator was constantly breaking or broken, so we couldn't get everything out with the 26' truck we originally rented. Most of the staff was super friendly and apologetic. The manager we met at checkin is really nice. But the weekend we were trying to move out, the staff was just grumpy and apathetic.

This is hands down both the best storage facility we have ever used (and we've had quite a few), and the best truck rental setup we have ever seen (huge parking lot with pretty much every possible equipment configuration available). The drive up unit we had reserved was not available, but they made up for it with a little more space in multiple indoor units. Going up the elevator was a little bit of a pain, but not having to pack stuff as tightly have me a much better attitude about it.

A space somewhere between a garage and closet would have been perfect, or perhaps an access door in the center, not at the end of the storage unit would have made it easier to get larger or heavier items inside the unit. Staff was very, very helpful and friendly although it seemed like she could have used some backup with the multiple duties required. .

I arrived to find a lock on my unit with a note "come see me in the office". I went to the office. It was empty... waited almost 10 mins for a person to appear. Found out they will lock empty lockers after a period of time because people have put stuff in empty units before. I understand that! But it was just kinda frustrating to think I wouldn't have to spend time working to get keys and then I did. I think either locking them from the start, or including in communications when that happens so the customer knows to expect it, would have been a better experience. Overall the facility was really nice tho and I'm not unhappy.

On top of that, he was dealing with some very difficult customers who were attempting to move out. A lot of people wouldn't have been able to handle the load and circumstances he was in, but he handled it all quite gracefully. He was fully professional the whole time. What's more, to me, despite the the former tenants he was dealing with being of less-than-desirable character, he was still perfectly professional, level headed and I would say compassionate towards them. It was pretty obvious their daily lives were probably pretty difficult or uncomfortable. I don't really know how they got into that situation, nevertheless, I know humanizing everyone is the best way to give them hope that they can make their own lives and futures better. I don't know if your rep. was thinking on that level, but he was extraordinarily professional and had such excellent customer service that it was humanely dignifying to all parties involved, or observing. Excellent Work!
