Took 1hour 30min to get the truck because they never filled out the return on the truck when they received it. The guy I was dealing with was trying to run a grocery store and help me so I had to tell him my information while he was on the phone with someone and trying to be a cashier. In the end he made me phone the uhaul help line to just book it myself anyways. I was in a rush as I was hours away from my destination so we hopped in the truck and drove away only to get 14 minutes down the road to the nearest gas station because the truck was right on empty to find out the front tire was just about flat. This could have been prevented if the location guy would have done a walk around check on the truck which he did not. So we were stuck in the the middle of nowhere in a highway gas station waiting for 2 hours so the tire shop could send out a guy and change the tire. This was a very unacceptable way to run a location. The people I spoke with on the phone at uhaul to book the truck and to get the truck fixed where very helpful so I have nothing bad to say about uhaul service itself but the distribution location was an awful experience.

The truck had not moved in months, Ice and snow covered the windshield and front. The battery was dead. I spoke to John from U-haul who was helpful, but all he could suggest was to drive back to Smoky Lake (the direction from where we came), to pick up a 26 ft truck (I ordered a 10 ft truck as we only had a bedroom to move). There was no service station in town to get a boost. I was able to borrow jumper cables, and after nearly an hour delay, finally got the truck started completely on my own. John offered a $50 refund on my rental. Nothing was ready for our arrival.

When I rented; I didn't expect that to drop it off, I would have to drop it off over 40 minutes away no matter which way I went to drop it off; even though there is a location that says "Rent Trucks and Trailers" at St. Brides which is 10 minutes out of St.Paul. It's a piss off for sure. Don't even get me started about having to pay a deposit that doubled my initial payment because I didn't want to put it on a credit card that you had on file. Just pure procedural bullshittery.
