got to location and tried to pick up truck. Was notified in App that truck was not available. Had to call customer service. That was 30 minute wait time. Once they authorized another truck size the process was smooth. This storage place does not have real people working there.

This location was super confusing and hard! No employee just a virtual assistant and I had to call to get a code for the gate- wasn’t given this ahead of time. Also small and tight space was scary for the 26 ft truck and no employee to help with this. Assistant said leave the key in the after hours box except there wasn’t one- just a box for locks. So I just left the key there because it was the only box available. Super stressful and lots of unhappy people in the lobby area just as confused as I was.

Steve HNo one there, no where to park. Had others waiting for the virtual person. Someone that rents a storage there let us into the back to park since there was no where to park and then I was locked back there till someone else let me out.
Cassandra ZFirst, the truck itself was very mechanically sound and drove well. It was a perfect vehicle for the job that I had to accomplish. With that being said.....I was supposed to pick the truck up at 7:30 AM. When I got to the location and went to my reservation in the app it stated that I needed to make a phone call to U-Haul because I did not have a "piece of equipment" assigned to my reservation. After being on hold for about 15 minutes an agent answered, asked for my reservation number, and said he was going to place me on hold. Instead, he hung up and I had to start over with another 12 minute wait on the phone. While I was waiting the second time a U-Haul Field Manager, according to his shirt, happened to show up at that site. He was able to get his tablet and assign me a truck. He was fantastic at fixing my problem and it wasn't his fault. However, it was over an hour past my pick-up time. The floor mats in the truck were really sticky. It appeared that someone had spilled something, spayed something, etc. on the floor mats. It's my understanding that when a truck is returned dirty that the renter is charged a fee. If that is the case the trucks should be cleaned after that fee is paid. If not, it gets blamed on the next person that returns that vehicle. Next, the first thing I had to do after getting the truck and leaving the parking lot was to stop and get fuel. It had less than a quarter of a tank at that point. When I returned the truck it also had less than a quarter of a tank and I was charged a fueling fee of something like $30. Again, if that is the case, the trucks need to be refueled after being returned so that the next renter receives a truck with a full tank. Then, they can be responsible for returning it the same way. By doing that the refueling fee makes sense.
