Joseph NThere were hidden fees, they didn't inform me of rate increase on weekends, and I had to pickup and return to a specific location or I would be charged $300. 2 days $323. Very rude and made me feel I was a bother. I'll pay a friend or rent from someone else next time which is next month to move my mom.
Steven STruck had trash left in it from previous customer. They had a higher fuel level indicated on the paperwork than was actually in the truck when I got it. The bag of moving blankets and dolly did not have plastic seals on them when I got the truck, which means they could have tried to charge me for using them when I did not. Just overall very deceptive practices.
NICHOLAS TPlease remember to do your walk through before moving the uhaul. I was told that we had 2 dolly's and we only had 1. I called immediately when I got home to inform them that only 1 dolly was on the uhaul. The young man that was working at the Bridge Liquor Uhaul location on 231 stated that I he called me the day before and this is what I quested. I told him he never called me, I showed him my phone I only had 2 missed calls and it wasn't from this location. I only drive under 12 miles and was charged $257. This was the first time I rented a Uhaul and drove a short distance and paid this amount. The Uhaul was not clean, it was never swept out from the last user. I was will never rent from them again.
OLIVER JThe truck was clean and no issues with the rental, however the guy in the store added the $30 fee to my rental after I had booked online without the safemove fee. When I returned the truck I brought up to him how he had added it and the contract he sent after me picking the truck up, was different than the contract I had after reserving the uhaul and he tried to tell me he couldn't take it back off. I said that's $30 that I did not sign up for and you added back on without my permission and then he tried to haggle with me saying he would take some of the miles off, leaving an $8 difference. I said no, I have my screenshots of the original contract without the $30 safemove, he then agreed to make up the whole difference with the mileage so I wouldn't have the extra $30 come out of my account. When I received the final receipt later, he had been able to refund the $30 safemove and left the mileage be. Why he added it back, tried to haggle and all that in the first place, other than thinking he'd get away with it, I'll never know. Otherwise, the experience was perfect.

Rhonda Lreserved truck at location but was told 3 days prior to pick up had to drive 10 miles further as truck was not available(although i reserved weeks in advance)
SEAN PTrailer did not have working tail lights or signal lights. Only 6x 12 he had. Said they would fix lights on other end at drop off? 9 hour drive at night with no rear lights? Had schedule to meet so had to take.
Doug SMake customers aware of previous claims on the equipment they are renting. Very un easy feeling of wondering if you'll be charged for something you didn't do. The equipment I rented out had MULTIPLE damage spots on the exterior of the truck. It was not a pleasant experience.
Nicholas SClean clean the trucks!!! Very dirty and smelt like throw up..I cleaned it myself!! Charged me for insurance that I didn't need..truck only had less than a half tank of gas.I put 58 dollars worth in returned the truck with more than three quarters worth and didn't get that back!! Never will go to bridge liquors u hail again.. sorry I like u haul companies just not at this location!
Donna BTruck was not ready at time of appointment. Truck reeked of Marijuana and had a filthy interior. The previous renter did not fill the truck up to a half tank of gas as indicated in the pretrip paperwork.

ELLEN DI ordered furniture pads to protect the furniture I was moving and this location had none. Why couldn't I have been notified in advance? Why did I have to deal with this on moving day? Why was the pickup and drop off location changed? Too many negatives - not necessarily just an issue with this location, but U-Haul in general. I probably won't trust U-Haul for any future needs.

Edgar SThe location of my pickup changed three times. Twice in the last two days before pick up. Each time the location got further away from my home location. In the end I had to travel 30 miles to pick up the trailer where my original requested location was 3 miles from home. The pickup location did not have my requested removal blankets. I was advised they don't carry them and I would have to find another vendor to pickup the blankets. Trailer didn't look like it had been cleaned between its last use. The vendor was courteous but was on their own in a busy liquor store.
Phillip BI was double charged. I rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer for a 24 hour period. Was told $29,95 plus tax. I added insurance for $8 Returned the trailer by 3:00 the following day 4-5 hours before my 24 hour mark and was charged double what was agreed. I want a phone call from customer service immediately

James LThe Bridge Liquor location is perfect for me. I have rented from them at least 6 times in the past. Every time, the transaction has been quick and efficient. I have never had a problem finding the piece of equipment that I want from them during the time I needed it. Merci.
William TNeed to replace headlights. Could barely see, if these trucks are looked over routinely this would have been noticed and replaced prior to being rented. It's obvious that they are not maintained properly. This is a safety concern. Had to drive with the high rams on which were not properly aligned.

Malcolm RLow rating given because of the mileage price. This location (Bridge Liquor 6654 Hallowing Point Rd Prince Frederick, MD 20678) charged at a rate of $1,49 a mile compared to the U-Haul located at Calvert Auto (3970 Old Town Rd Huntingtown, MD) which charged $1,19 a mile. I rented the same size truck from both locations. The stores only 20 minutes from each other - 30 cents more a mile at the Hallowing Point location is ridiculous. I'll NEVER rent from them again.

Stephen BWe made a reservation a month In advance. When we went to pick up our rental truck on that day, they tried to charge us $200 more for picking up at their location. When we had made the reservation for that location AT THAT LOCATION! They also showed us and had the wrong truck ready for us to pick up. After signing the contract and paying for the rental and getting the keys and ready to leave, they realized it was a completely different rental truck and the manager/owner had to come outside and move around vehicles for us to get the rental truck out that we had paid for and had the keys for. They did not show us the gas amount prior to signing the contract, especially when we didn't even have the correct truck to begin with. No one even walked outside with us at pickup until they realized the one we rented was parked in!!!! Terrible service!!!

Michael SThe 15' truck that I picked up from this location had major front suspension issues which caused the truck to shake and bounce at all speeds. I probably never rent another vehicle from Uhaul in the future.
Craig BBe sure to check/inspect the inside of the truck after every customer. There was a cardboard box & a bottled water left behind when I received it. Also, there should always be dollies available for rent.
Rochelle WUhaul was filthy leaked ruined all my stuff that was inside tried to tell the place they said oh well ! Uhaul tires were screwed up rode rough bouncy ride pulled horrible ! Uhaul trailer was completely trash !
Ashley MCustomer rep was friendly and helpful in resolving trailer issues. Trailer was clean on the inside, fenders and trailer hitch were covered in grass clippings and dirt. Lights on first trailer were not functional (likely degraded wiring). The first 2 trailer light connecting wiring harnesses were not functional. Was able to resolve and had no issues with functional equipment I rented for duration of the trip.
Todd TI reserved moving blankets with my uhaul. I went to pick up everything on the morning of my move and they said they do not have moving blankets at that location. They should have notified me of that in advance. I called another uhaul dealer nearby and they were out of moving blankets. Seems like an issue with uhaul! Has to move my entire household with no moving blankets. Not a happy customer!
Jennie SThe clerks did not speak English very well. The first two clerks could not find my reservations nor did they know how to check me out. Once I was checked out, no one walked out with me to go over the U-Haul. Once I saw the vehicle and there was damage it, I had one of the clerk's walk out and inspect the vehicle with me and explain their policy regarding damage.

Mary GCut the number of emails and text messages in half. I have had 7-8 text messages and 6 (?) emails concering one 6 hour rental. One of the "Use the U-Haul app to let us know the condition of your equipment" text messages came before I picked the equipment up, one while I had the equipment, and one after I had returned the equipment. Ugh..... I'm seriously considering NOT using U-Haul in future because of the quantity of messages and emails......

vikrant sI reserved a 20' truck and a hand truck from a different location but u haul moved it to here. When I arrived there was no hand trucks available and the box trucks were parked so close together that I couldn't get mine out. I had to wait for someone else to show up to move their reserved truck. The man told me that I would have to go to another u haul location to get a hand truck and if I couldn't he would refund me. Once I returned a different person was there and he kept accusing me of stealing the hand truck I never got. I went inside to talk to another person who told me it was no problem and he would take care of it. I got my receipt and I was still charged for the hand truck. Scummy business

Sylvia HI appreciate the ability for one location to reserve equipment at another location. Equipment was in perfect condition. Please improve the speed of your computer systems. I waited a long time to pick up the vehicle due to system issues. Lastly consider 1/2-day rates. I used the vehicle for less than one hour.
Eric WTrucks not clean had to switch trucks twice due to maintenance issues, staff not friendly couldn't understand them due to language barriers. Needs better customer service.
