Nice to have a location close in mute remote areas
owen bThe gentleman at this location was very nice, but the equipment was incredibly poor. It obviously hadn't been cleaned, as when we got the U-Haul, it smelled absolutely horrible inside the storage area. To the extent that the guy had even said it smelled bad and said "you never know what people are hauling in there" We didn't look at the back good enough before we left, because we had things to do before we started packing it up. When we finally did get to look inside there was mysterious brown fluid in hr corners, smeared on the walls, and dropped down the back of the attic portion of the back. We also found live maggots in the corners. This truck smelled SO bad. I can't even explain how bad it was. We didn't feel comfortable putting our belongings in this truck, but the U-Haul location was closed, so we ended up just taking it back without using it. This location must

Kevin OFunny how there's no generic question about my booking experience. I booked this U-Haul 1 month in advance and then one day before I'm scheduled to pick up the truck I'm told I don't have a 10' truck but instead a 15' truck and it is an hour an a half from where I booked to pick it up. So it's 3 hours out of my day, a $200 Uber, and additional gas that I had to pay for a 1900km drive I had to do. Completely ridiculous. If this is common (which I know it is) then it means the business plan is flawed. Hire drivers to move the vehicles from location to location so that the customers have what the booked and requested.

Jodi JRented the U-Haul for a short distance move. Vehicle was ready for pick-up on time. Upon initial inspection vehicle interior was dirty. There was a quarter inch of liquid(coffee) in the bottom of the cup holder along with small amounts of garbage. Front floor not swept. Returned the way it was picked up.

Charles VThe auto trailer ties weren't in good condition, and they had to be changed. Also, they didn't tie the car well because during the trip we figured out the tires weren't untied and it almost caused an accident.

Carmelita JI picked up the 15' UHaul at 0830 and returned it by 1110. I had booked the truck a week in advance and upon getting to the rental location I was informed someone else had booked it BUT it was after me. I was asked to return it by 1100 despite having booked it a week prior and needed it for the whole day. We ended up rushing to the my storage where we loaded up only large items and rushed to my new place & unload in the driveway so to have it back by 1100. It made for alot of work especially since I had to use my own vehicle and trailer afterwards to retrieve the rest from the storage unit. Needless to say it wasn't a pleasant experience having to bolt there and back and having to move heavy furniture more than once. Upon reviewing my invoice I paid the FULL FEE despite only having it not 3 hours. Brian George 709-687-3353
Brian GApparently when renting a truck within Nova Scotia and having to cross the Cobequid pass (within NS) to move still within NS, the pass control charged our two trips with the 26' truck as the vehicle was registered in Virginia USA and not NS was charged. It's not the amount it's something that should be mentioned that if crossing toll booths you will be charged the amount required to cross regardless if you are a resident or not. May want to inform those that rent the trucks that because if the registration of the vehicle you will be charged accordingly. Just something to consider for future users of the companies product.
