Obtaining the key was not as instructed by mobile app, and it took 15 minutes to check in. It would have been much faster to go into the location.

The person at this location wanted/expected me to back the truck into a parking spot between other trucks. He dwelled on it and I had to tell him "no" several times. He wasn't very easy to understand and maybe he didn't understand or expect me to say no. I also called five times, and left two messages the previous day to check on their hours for return. So these people can't/won't answer the phone, won't return my call, and expect me to do part of their job when I return the truck, sorry not happening!

Interior of trailer could have been cleaned better issue with wire harness/trailer lights. Worker was able to swap out for a new harness.

It’s a convenient store that has the rentals but parking lot is all the way around the building, very easy to navigate.

Before I would recommend this location I will need from Uhaul written procedures as to why I had to give two names with phone numbers on a piece of paper that was not on official Uhaul paperwork. I have rented from Uhaul many times going back to 1991 and I have never been asked to provide names of my relatives/friends and phone numbers. I have rented from this place many times in the past and this was never requested. If Uhaul can provide documentation that this is SOP's then I will not contact the Livingston Parish DA and the Attorney General office of Louisiana requesting an investigation into possible scam operations using Uhaul as their base of operations. I tried to use your contact form but nothing allows for me to ask my questions.

The cab of the truck had dried mud on the floor mats and some sticky stuff dripped in drink holders and down the engine cover. Pretty nasty. The back had a few items left from previous rental, but not bad. Checking the truck out and back in was quite an ordeal. I know it is all digital, but what about others that have no digital access or have a hard time understanding the process. I am older and had to have my son help me figure it out. The person inside the store was very helpful and very courteous with the process. It had been a long time since I had rented a U-Haul. I guess I am old school and prefer to actually speak with a person face to face when picking up and returning a rental.

The truck I rented was not available at the store. They transferred the rental to someone 15 miles out of my way. When I returned the car I was charged for going 8 extra miles. Very annoyed since I was inconvenienced by going out if the way to get the car.

It's a mini mart and with only one attendant on duty, I wasn't able to have the truck checked while I was there. It was sent to me afterwards.

Terrible experience returning the trailer. Man at the counter wanted me to back in the trailer, I DO NOT know how to do that. I communicated to him that I cannot back up a trailer, he turned around and walked away. I called uhaul customer service the rep was nice, she had to call him and ask that he remove the trailer from the hitch. He came out reluctantly, told me to move out of the way and once it was lifted off of my hitch, he dropped it to the ground and walked away. Not a word. I told him that I was coming inside to get the final closeout paperwork, he disagreed saying that it wold be emailed. I had to call the customer service rep again, go through all the prompts to explain to the office that he would not cooperate and provide me the close out paperwork. The rep advised that I take photos of the trailer. Standing out there taking pictures of everything, I was concerned that the guy would retaliate and do something stupid like say it was damaged or it wasn't returned on time. Overall it was a nightmare experience. I don't recommend this location for anything and that man should be fired.

Magnolia mini mart was great, however, I reserved the rental pick up at buddys garage. When I arrived I was informed that they did not have the unit. I was in a bind and needed to start loading. Buddy's garage was very helpful in figuring out that my unit pick up was changed to magnolia mini mart. Due to personal reasons I was not able to pick up the unit until 1130 which is why I chose 0830 for pick up. This put me and my family in a bad situation of loading late into the night and running on only 3hrs of sleep the following day to make a closing on a home sale and home purchase then offload the truck.

The truck had a very unpleasant smell. The seat belt was very dirty and had a loud smell as well. It smelled like cigarettes, it is due for a good wash.

The worker at the store was doing his beast . They charger me 25$ for tow insurance when I didn't want it .. other for I have don't know how to get that charge off of my card! Also when I reserved the trailer the day before the lady I spoke with told me it was 99$ plus tax was charged a total of 168$ . I did not want the 25$ insurance which I told him. And was charged 124$ instead of 99$ They did not even have paper to print out a receipt for me

Help the customer understand you and speak clearly and the different policies and changes at you location. Remind the customer to do FULL walk around the truck. Have them look at the truck INSIDE and OUT. So that no one get taken advantage of again

The site did not contain lock boxes for the digital reservation pick up. The store was still open and I was eventually able to recieve my key after some confusion.

I was initially to pick up trailer at another location of where I first went. Received a text while I was at the first location that the trailer was at another location 5 miles away. The clerk at this store was not helpful.

The person who helped us in the store was great, very friendly. The truck was the problem. The slack in the steering made it very difficult to drive. Turn the steering wheel a half turn left or right before the wheels actually moved. And not safe when every bump you hit the back of the truck fishtailed. The exhaust fumes were so bad the windows had to stay down for the drive. And it was very cold outside.

We received the truck at a quarter of a tank. We returned the truck at half a tank. The man working this site said we didn't need to take any pictures and he would take care of it all for us. Only to be charged for insufficient fuel after the truck was returned.

I was reserved the wrong type of uhaul trailer after expressing to the rep what kind of trailer I needed and what for. Once I picked up the trailer, the guy that was there didn't speak very good English and did not secure the trailer to my truck. Once I drove off, about a quarter of the mile up the road, the trailer detached from my hitch and collided with the back of my truck. I was left, at that point, to figure out on my own how to reconnect a secure the trailer to my truck.

Two things I found wrong with the rental experience was 1) 2 different employees did not know who to do their job to check out and check in a reservation that was made online. both had to call the store manager at home because they were working alone. 2) employee provide no help in the hookup and disconnect of the trailer. both just stood watching me "wrestle with" the trailer to manually pull the trailer and lift the trailer tongue.

Clean and check interior. We found a child's toy when we were making sure we had not left anything in truck. The passenger seat was too close to seat belt compartment and made it hard to move backwards.

The inside of the back of the truck was dirty... I loaded & unloaded all brand new items however I was charged a $35 cleaning fee for dirt that was not caused by me. Customer should be met by a representative and truck looked over together when keys are handed over.

Picking up the truck was handled great. When I returned it another person was there who didn't understand English very well. He said he could not check it in. Could only be done on line by sending pictures of odometer. I couldn't figure out how to do that. Finally returned to rental location and a different person was there who checked it in and emailed a receipt. They need a procedures book or page for all to follow

This was my 2nd place I was sent to pick up a truck...the person at the counter did not know there job...I had to do it over the phone. It took a hour and half to get the truck. Inside the truck was dirty inside.. the driver side door handle was broken that made shutting the door hard..

Make sure to have someone at the locations to attach the trailers to the vehicles. Or at least notify the customer that they need to have someone with them that knows how to attach the trailer. Not everyone who rents these is capable to attaching the trailers
