Jason SGo back to the original check in and check out process at U-Haul only locations. These offsite locations offer terrible customer service, and give no understanding to the process and take to long with handling multiple responsibilities.
Donna RCustomer service of the person who was renting out the vehicle was horrible. It was very much how fast can he get me out of his store (hurry up and buy type) I felt very rushed through the process for a truck that was supposed to cost $19 + $10 hand dolly, and $5 insurance somehow came out to be over $100 when he had me call on the phone to give my cc info instead of handling it in person. As someone who's not only a veteran but has also worked in rental sales, I feel like I was over charged and treated very rude with little help from the person working. Will 100 % never recommend this location.

Paul SThe guy at the $1 Depot UHaul was unprofessional, rude, irrational and racist... I called up to this location on Dec 31, around 10am, asking to extend my time with the truck I was renting. At first the guy told me he has to run my card to see if I qualify which sounded sketch from the get, while I'm telling him no don't run my card, he runs it and I ask him to cancel it right away because now I'm dropping the truck off and don't want to continue doing business at this point. I show up at 12 to drop the truck off, I go into the store and I tell him "I'm dropping the truck off, and you charged me for the extra day and I need a refund please" he then replied "the drop off box is outside and you can also talk to the U-haul guy outside" (a guy was cleaning the trucks) I tell him "How is it you can take money out of my account but refund it? That doesn't sound right" He then became irate, starting yelling and cursing at me, flailing his arms around and then called me a racist slur! Very poor customer service, very unprofessional, is this what UHaul stand for? Worst experience I ever had with UHaul, I don't think I could ever return with this experience.

esperanza mThis location was absolutely fantastic. I had my original reservation at the Altamonte location and after being rudely turned away from there because they couldn't honor my reservation I was sent to this location. The reservation wasn't properly transferred but this location was able to make it work as quickly as possible. The man at the store was not only able to fix the reservation but also give me all of the information needed to get on the road. He was very informative and friendly.

David DThe truck was filthy - debris in the back area, dashboard had a thick layer of dust (hasn't been wiped down from months and months), interior light stayed on while driving, driver's door was challenging to fully close, had trouble getting key to turn - worked after wrestling with position of steering wheel. Associate inside of store told me on Saturday to return it in a few days - mind you I had reserved it for seven days online.

carlos pThis facility is amazing. Frank is amazing. We originally rented from U-HAUL MOVING & STORAGE OF ALTAMONTE SPRINGS located at 598 W HWY 436, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS FL. They failed to call to tell me they scheduled for my truck to be picked up at one dollar depot. Frank, the manager of one dollar depot pulled a rabbit out and helped me out. This isn't the first problem I had with uhaul moving and storage of ALTAMONTE, but it will be the last. My business does plot with Uhaul. The only reason I'm not pulling everything and going to another company is because of Frank and one dollar. ALTAMONTE springs blames everyone but their own incompetence. I had movers waiting which personally cost me a couple hundred dollars not to mention my time.
Tom LI've used uhaul for the past few years. This was by far my worst experience. The clerk told me he was leaving at 5:30pm and wasn't going to stick around to see where my money went after paying for the uhaul. I called customer service after holding for a few minutes I was place on an additional hold. Not to mention how many different people I was transfered to and still not get the help I needed. Then I was told I could drop it off at any location which wasn't true. I would recommend the location I used to anyone.

st. cI was charged twice for renting this U-Haul and the price was way over what I was quoted. I was told $29,99/ day and 0,88/mile. I went from Orlando, FL - Cocoa, FL and to the gas station. I expected to be charged around $150-$160. Instead I was charged almost $200. When I called to get an explanation U-Haul hd no record of the rental at all. I would not recommend this particular rental location to anyone. It was $1 Dollar Depot on 434, Orlando, FL

dominick aThe gentleman at this location was very nice and helpful. However, I originally made my reservation with a lady at 4252 N Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando was extremely uncaring and cavalier. She was well aware that I was flying in to Orlando, renting a car to get to her location and securing a hotel room in addition to needing to move my daughter within 3 to 4 hours. I expressed to her how important it was that I definitely had a truck. She promised me a vehicle but when I arrived it was not there. She basically said this can happen and stated that I had an attitude because I was upset. She put her expressionless face back to her computer without any concern that I spent an incredible amount of time and money to get to Orlando to move my daughter. And she offered no help or alternatives to my situation. Fortunately, her coworker located another vehicle for me even though I lost an hour of time to assist my daughter. I cannot remember that last time I dealt with an employee at any business with such a horrible attitude. I still get upset when I think about it. BTW, I am a dentist in Tampa who has 2 offices and if I ever had an employee treat one of my patients the way this lady treated me, her employment would be terminated immediately. I would be more than happy to expand and verify the details of this disturbing experience if necessary.

MATTHEW PWhen I reserved the Uhaul, I did so for 8am. When I arrived to the location, it wasn't open until 9am and the owner was outwardly frustrated with me for showing up early. I never saw anywhere about the location not opening until 9am, why would I even be allowed to book outside of their operating hours? The only time I was notified was when I hit "ready to pick up truck" after I was already at the location. Curt rating especially when you're moving. All in all, the truck was clean and everything worked out! Uhaul is the best for moving!
