People at the gas station were i picked up the truck were not nice and not helpful. Seemed bothered by me renting a truck and told me if I left my car there , they are no going to watch it. And you make me drive 14 extra mile when you said there are no trucks my size at closer dealer. I stop be there on my way home and he had the truck the home time.

Only issue I have is been trying fine out if they own me any money back from were I estimate on my milage an when. I return uhaul back they were closed due to the weather..so I've even called all morn always he gone are he outside not very hard to answer simple question.

The owner told me not to drop off the trailer at his location but couldn't explain to me why. He said multiple time he didn't have space but there was space outside. As I'm trying to get a valid explanation to why I'm being turned away. A guy in a small Uhual truck was able to drop his off without any issues. The owner was very unprofessional and started yelling at me not to drop it off. That's when my wife called the 800 number to get more clarity. The rep on the phone explained to us, this location is the authorized drop-off location and to leave the 4x8 trailer. I dropped the trailer off as instructed. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

At drop-off I was not given confirmation and had to call 800# 2hrs later to confirmation dropout was before my return time as to not incur extra charges?

When I returned the UHaul the employee was very rude. I asked him if he could tell me how much gas to put in since I forgot my paper in the other car. He responded that he didn't know and that the website was down so he couldn't check me out. When he told me to leave the truck I asked if he would come out to verify I returned it in good condition. He refused and then began to over talk me telling me if I had an issue that I could return it somewhere else. Even after explaining that I was fearful of being charged for something I didn't do, he refused to check it. I asked would he at least contact me when the website was up and although he said yes, he never did and I was charged more than my mileage. I came back the next day to find the truck gone so I'm not sure when or where they checked my mileage to charge but I will never use that location again. It was very unprofessional and disappointing.

This was not my first choice on my reservation (Skymart 7 was). When I arrived to pick up my auto transport trailer it had a flat tire from days earlier that wasn't expected to be fixed until 2 days after I needed it. No call or email that it wasn't available. Had to find another location. That's unacceptable to not inform the renter their rental is not available. I could have made other plans instead of wasting over an hour.

Mobile app did not work on my iPhone 12Pro, not requesting access to camera for photo of license. But staff at this location was fast, efficient, and helpful - knowing how to work around issues with app.

The truck had trash in it (not a lot, but still enough to clean out). The person we checked it out from told us a drop off location, only for U-Haul to call us 30 minutes later changing the location. Also, the person we checked it out from was kind, but we could barely understand him

They refused to release the trailer to me until I called U-Haul myself. They were rude and combative. They attempted to charge me the fees 3 separate times and threatened to call the police if I didn't pay the $181 3 times. Worst experience ever. I will NEVER rent again if this is how the locations are allowed to treat customers.

Did not like having to do everything on my phone. Did not like having to put my information in my phone just to get a rental. Then when you get there. you get texed a link to take picture of your driver's license. I could never get the text to do that. So we had to use my husbands phone to get the tex. There should be an option to do it at the facility, instead of everything done electronically. And you need more facility's open on Sunday. we had to drive 45 minutes just to find one open on Sunday to have a 15 foot rental available.

Just a little expensive for a few hours of use. But it was a GREAT place and the uhaul was in excellent condition. The store owners were super friendly, patient and very helpful.

Guy at this location was very unprofessional and rude. I spoke to uhaul early the morning of my return date and they gave me an extension till 3pm to return trailer so i didn't have to pay another days rental. The location refused to honor that extension and charged my credit card $131 plus the $32,95 days rental. I hope that uhaul will make this right by refunding my money please. I've rented from uhaul on several occasions and have always been very satisfied but this location made it a very bad experience.

I do not recommend it, they are stealing from me one day, I sold it on the 10th at 10:48 and I delivered it today at 10:48 this time at 6:13. They are charging me for another day, I will go tomorrow to complain

I arrived at the location the truck was dirty and needed cleaning. They cleaned the truck and registered me, this process took over an hour. Once i was able to get to the truck the check engine light was on, I had no choice due to me running late already to continue to drive the truck and have no more delays. after speaking with customer service they did not provide me a time to drop off the truck the next day, after me telling them I would've dropped it off the same day. Just feel that it was unprofessional and some miscommunication on U-Haul. This experience was terrible being charges extra fees as well. This will be my last time using this service.

Owner of smokers choice already double charged me to begin to begin with and then the next morning called me trying to bill my card again, but couldn't because I had it locked to find out he wasn't supposed to double bill me to begin with, and he definitely wasn't supposed to charge me a third time I was only supposed to be charged once and now he owes me money back this guy is a thief and after talking to people, I know he does it to everybody. I wouldn't spend another penny in that store if I was starving.

When you tell them you need a trailer for 2 day they charge you for 2 days then tell you it has to be there the next day and wouldn't refund the money for the day you didn't have it for.i may never us U haul again

We were right there in the SMOKERS CHOICE 1015 liberty rd martinsville va 24112 to rent a trailer for my truck and we asked if they know if my truck fitted in there and they says Yes ,so we get the trailer and we arrive we’re my truck was and surprise MY TRUCK DONT FITTED we get back to return the trailer and they says that THEY CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY DON’T KNOW ABOUT TRAILER AND MESURES ,we asked for a refund and they said NO,ALSO THEY ARE SO RUDE AMD DISRESPECTFUL,please don’t go and rent in this place dont waste your time an a bad moment with this people.they never make a refund even if is their fault.

They harassed me for uhaul error. And tried to charge my card after I spoke with uhaul regional contact center regarding the error. They were rude and did not know what they were doing and giving miss information

We reserved a 15' and only option when we arrived was a 10' truck. We were told they were the same price. The smaller truck meant more trips. Which turned into more money due to the extra trips.

U haul didn't have a car hauler available in my area. I asked if I could rent it somewhere else and return it to my area and was told no. I was renting for a week for a trip. I was told they were moving box trucks and could not move a trailer. Don't box trucks have hitches? I had to drive 1,5 hours out of my way twice to rent and return this trailer. Customer service and convience have always been the reason I use U haul. If that has gone away I'll find something eles.Steve Youngman

Trailer was not swept out, but the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. Not a visually impressive location, but worth it due to the service.

Nothing to improve for this location, i want to give props to them - giving the truck to the customer on FULL and having them fill it back up on return is 10/10 better than giving it to the customer at a random amount and the customer is responsible for getting it back to that amount. This was the easiest pick up, drop off and usage at any location i've ever used.

Ask for Dolly did not get it. Had to visit the location 3 times b4 getting to rent. No washer fluid in truck. Truck nasty with tree sap and dead leaves. The truck was hemmed up between a tree and a car. Service was very slow. Ppl at the store were not friendly. I would not recommend this location to anyone. This location should not even be able to rent trucks for uhaul. Poor excuse for a buisness

This facility seems more like a convenient store than a U-Haul center which is the case. The staff seemed relatively accommodating. There was no need to go inside so grading the cleanliness is based on the parking lot only. It wasn't dirty just not an organized parking facility versus a U-Haul center. It was easy access even with a 26' plus auto-transport.

Only location around me that was open on Saturday and had enclosed trailers. Can't belive no other uhaul location is open on Saturday near the martinsville area. Friendly and helpful staff and their chicken is great!

The truck was filthy. There were cigarette ashes throughout including the drivers side door handle, in the cup holders, and in the vehicle overall. The truck has a strong cigarette odor. The steering wheel was sticky and there were sticky / melted substances in the cup holders. We took about 10 minutes and wiped down the inside of the uhaul and the surfaces with Clorox wipes and that helped significantly. However I've never been in such a dirty rental. On a positive note, the truck drove very well. We had no mechanical issues. The AC worked great. There is an option for an Aux cord for music. It was a comfortable ride (once cleaned) and was not difficult to drive.
