Hello, I rented the truck and it was raining. The truck was leaking water and damaged some of my belongings. I have pictures and a video of the water pooring inside the truck from the top when I was unloading my belongings.. In addtion to that I was charged for gas. I got the truck at 3/4 and returned more on purpose. Again I have pictures for when I got the truck and when I return it with the appropriate difference in mileage as a proof. Please reach out and I will send you all the proofs (pictures and videos). I hope the insurance I got can cover the damage. Merci.

The U-Haul truck we rented had a leak in cargo roof most of our belongings got water damaged. We had the Repwest insurance from U-Haul. We filed a claim and still we didn't received any call from the adjuster. Totally disappointed.

We reserved a cargo van and when we arrived at the West Oaks pick up location, there was no van. We were told the people who rented the van had not returned it. And that another van was in the shop. We ended up having to go to another location (S. Dairy Ashford) to pick up a 10' truck. We did get a small refund, and U-Haul charged us the cargo van price, but there has to be a way for U-Haul to know when reservations cannot be accommodated. This is unacceptable. The S. Diary Ashford location was great. Easy check in and out. I would NOT rate the West Oaks location as excellent. I would rate that location as Below Average. Again, there has to be a way to know when reservations cannot be accommodated BEFORE people arrive for pick up.

I rated the location now because someone apparently the managers for whatever reason, canceled a reservation I made about a week ago to avoid rancor. That dis organized and displaced my move. I lost hours of work and paid movers twice because by the time they find me another truck, 4-5 hours has passed. I'll say yes to the recommendation because the rest of the staff rallied around quick and started calling for a truck for me. And find me a truck. They sincerely apologize. But the manager cared less. The front restart were good. Therefore I'll stil recommend people.

Great for local one day rental (I did 140miles): inexpensive, equipment worked as expected, staff were courteous and helpful. 10ft truck is not very comfortable for longer journeys though.

The staff inside is friendly and helpful. The management here is horrible. I had three units here all upstairs. The manager couldn't be found one Saturday morning while several of us waited around at 8am. A full hour after opening. Turns out he was inside his apartment on site but wouldn't respond to staff knocking and calling several times. I got trapped in the elevator when it malfunctioned. An inoperable elevator caused me to have to carry/drag furniture down stairs. The elevator has not worked for 4 months and not a single word to paying customers apologizing for the inconvenience. Not a note saying it's out, NOTHING!! U-HAUL should be ashamed that someone who is paying $400 for storage is being told that they aren't willing to pay to fix the elevator. Disgusting.

I can't say enough about the facility , cleanliness, friendless and safe. My personal storage on, here in Houston TX on Dairy Ashford .....The General Manager is Daniel... I wish more people were like him. Daniel treats people as close friends and family. He's amazing...

The facility has undergone major transformation since I began storing my items there several years ago. I noticed a major hike in price when that part of the facility became temperature controlled. It was not my desire to pay that much (approximately $202 monthly); but I was never offered the option to move to another location on site that was not temperature controlled. There have been and currently are instances of the elevator not working which were very inconvenient because my unit is on the 2nd floor. My payment is auto drafted monthly on the 1st. The unit was cleared on the 2nd, one day after the payment was taken. Upon my termination of the contract, it was told to me that there would be no refund. I am upset by this because if a person moves INTO a unit, and the date is NOT the 1st of the month, the person is NOT charged for a full month. There is a prorated amount applied for the move in month, with the full amount being applied moving forward. Why am I not being given a prorated amount for moving out? This is a problem.

AC didn't work very well in the climate controlled unit and the light inside my unit did not work consistently - more often it did not work at all so I had to bring a battery lantern to be able to see. I had been in that unit for over 2 years. When I inquired about it I was told that section had some known issues. Elevators didn't always work either so that made it inconvenient at times. Aside from those issues, the staff was always nice, professional, and helpful.

Well while at this location, 2415 S Dairy Ashford I reserved the SMALL $19,99 truck. But the agent at the location offered to us the next size up (REG price $39,99) I said NO but he offered a discounted rate of $29.99, (saving me $10) and I was working with a budget mind you. He said that I should make sure to take note of the GAS & MILEAGE of the truck because he had not had the time to check it in from the last customer who left it on the curve on the road, not even on the property. I took a PICTURE as I turned on the rental and the mileage was 112843 with 3/8 of GAS. Not halfway or a full tank of gas. I said that we might drive about 5 miles when actually we only drove 2 MILES(112845 have pic as well). When I returned it using that app and BTW it was such a hassle. I went through the gate and found that the garage for the golf cart was wide open, and a client of theirs mentioned that somebody is inside, so I walked and opened the door to the office. I called for help and nobody replied back...So I gave up and finally after 20 minutes trying to check the truck in. I receive the ORDER RECEIPT by email...with a FUEL CHARGE OF 3 GALLONS totalling $11.70...(WHY) I returned the truck with the same or a little bit more than 3/8 of gas in it. (ALSO HAVE A PIC) Ive been waiting for a customer service rep to call me about my experience and nothing yet. Its not right for the employees not to be doing their duties by checking the trucks in, adding the CORRECT amount of gas and thinking that most customers dont read the receipts...Well I do!

Someone broke into my storage and stole all my belonging

I ordered and paid $10 for pads that weren't even there. The the gentleman working the counter at 7:00 that morning could have wanted to be anywhere else than he was there helping me or lack thereof. He made it very apparent that I was nothing more than an inconvenience. Hey did not ask me if I wanted insurance on it I didn't need it I have full coverage on the vehicle that I drive but I was charged for that too. He was rude condescending and just kind of an ass. So all the places in the U-Hauls I've ever gone to known people done anything the one at the corner of Dairy Ashford just to the north of Westheimer I would not tell them to go there I would say go anywhere else but there I'm in the customer service field this is my job I deal with people every single day 10 12 hours a day. And so I know when someone needs props and I will always say this person is an amazing job get their name make sure they're super divisor knows that they have done their best to make everything to the best of durability to make me happy. This was not that

My only observation is that the driver's side rear tire had low air pressure when I picked it up. I had to fill it before I could leave town. I appreciate the team working to find me another pick-up when they originally thought they would not have one available.

Daniel Lucas (Site Manager )is a blessing , professional, helpful and aware of the company's products to ensure the best option for customers. I have been renting storage rooms for 18 years and in two instances I have come across two storage unit managers that are excellent. Daniel is definitely number #1. The location and units were convenient for my needs. Excellent experience because of Daniel and two of his staff members a light skinned black lady and young black male (both knowledgeable and nice too!)

Daniel was the sweetest ever, I was in the office waiting for my movers to show up and he offered me drinks and snacks and even came and sat and talked with me. I've never had a positive experience at this location until now. Even the house keep was nice there was water outside my unit, and he came with mops and was ready to clean and help make my move out go smoothly. After moving out I let Daniel know I was done, by the time I had made it to my home he had called to let me know my movers had forgotten some boxes (they were empty) but he wouldn't move/touch them until I had given them the ok. The amount of respect he had for me was amazing, unlike anyone I've ever dealt with at this location. Thank you again.

When you have a general manager who has absolutely no idea who put an extra lock on your storage after payment and being told that nobody in the facility could tell me who put it on makes me weary of storing things at this location. I was inconvenienced with this issue and then was charged for the door handle when I was inconvenienced by THEIR mess up. I just left all of the things I no longer needed and left. Other than this incident Daniel was a pleasant manager and his office staff was very nice.

I had the worst experience with this U-Haul I made my reservation in the U-Haul the worker did not verify my information I was leaving a very abusive relationship and they sent my information to my husband cause she did not verify my information so he knew where I was then I was 10 minutes late picking up the truck cause I didn’t have transportation and they said I was to late and the truck I rented was gone and told me to go across the street very rudely so I did and he had a truck but it was old and only went 50 and he was rude to after it was all down hill I will never use U-Haul again I will not refer anyone to U-Haul cause this company does not care about it’s customer’ at all 🤬

My only problem was with the so call moving company Exquisite. They left us in a bind. The owner Steve was very rude and difficult. His people never showed up. This put us in a bind having to unload the truck by ourselves. I would not consider them a "Five Star" company as quoted to me by the Uhaul representative.

1/14 I could not get in my storage because it was double locked, my lock and Uhaul lock. I went to the office to ask the young man for the key. He said that we are not responsible for your key. I explained to him that I didn't purchase Uhaul lock. It cost me $159 for the locksmith. I would like reimbursement.

The unit was not large enough and I have items stored outside my unit door. There were some expensive items. U Haul threw the items out without any warning or notice. Will never use U Haul storage again. Also the hinge came off the door on unit 266.

Im not sure why im being text the survey again i already did it once. Its clean and secure, but the elevators weren't working and for people with disabilities this is a problem and for the movers as well. I also had to wait because something happened with the computer were they had to correct the unit that I was given other than the elevators and that it was just like any other u-haul store.

I would give 5 stars, however, on the day of my scheduled move the elevators weren't working and my unit was on the 2nd floor. The employee at the storage was aware of this and didn't inform me. The customer service I was offered when I first wanted to rent the unit was great. However, some customer feedback for you that may help you because it probably means I won't be using this location again. The door to my unit did not fully open from when I first rented it and I was told by two members of staff that a work order would be in place to fix it. This made moving challenging because we kept having to prop the door up. I came back twice to ask for this to be resolved and it never was. Needless to say I was able to work around it but for the inconvenience it didn't leave me feeling positive. If it takes two months for a work order to be put it and it doesn't get fixed, it doesn't make me feel I'll be recommending it to another person.

The hours are horrible. I had a really hard time access my storage as I work during the day and need the ability to move in the evenings. This location does not allow that as it closes at 7pm.
