Truck had grime all over the console and in between the seats that wasn't visible at first. It also reeked of cigarettes which is not great for anyone that has allergies or lung issues

Only one person helping customers with a long line of people trying to get help. Equipment that I had reserved for renting not available. Awful experience.
JOSE PYour call center personnel is very rude!!! Keep telling me I had to drop off at a non agreed on location continuously keep telling me it's on my contract as I explained and got rude back that it was not. He wouldn't look up the location I requested and to me I would need to do so. As I called back with location address they kept picking up and hanging up the phone, finally another guy answered the phone and was more helpful. I rent from U-Haul approximately 4 to 6 times a year I'm sure I'm not the first to inform you of your unprofessional call center's!!!!

A rep from uhaul called me on 5/19, the day before pick up and told me I had to go to 1501 Normandy village Parkway because my equipment was guaranteed for pick up there. Okay, fine. But then when I get there to pick it up, they did not have it because "they" just came and picked up a bunch of trucks. And I was then sent to 5481 Normandy Blvd. Where they had the truck and auto transport I ordered, but not the furniture dollies. Overall the people I dealt with were great. But if im forced to drive close to 30 miles to pick up the equipment because it's guaranteed at a certain location, then I cant grasp why it would not be there and be sent to then, another location. Maybe, especially since I t is charged by the mile, and to improve the customer service, the equipment could have been delivered to the location i originally chose as my pick up location for me to pick up. To save my time and energy.

I am Highly satisfied with this location and it does not matter where I move to in Jacksonville. I used to head to this location with no thought of another; however, it just got worse and worse so I now look for other locations. The managers are always nice and helpful, so I'm unsure what the problems are. My last rental was a transfer from another location because their equipment was damaged. It was supposed to be a quick and easy transaction, but it turned into a long, drawn-out process. The manager had to help me get it corrected. I rated the location overall Above Average because as I mentioned, the managers are always helpful, and I would recommend this location to family and friend with aside note of "Be prepared for a wait or errors."

'Phonecall to U-Haul transferred me to Mike at above location who confirmed that truck and double-axle trailer are now at above location, minus towed vehicle, a 2000 GMC Safari, without registration since purchase days ago. Told by same 'phonecall that there may be a credit to credit card, less charges for rental truck and double-axle trailer, however processing may take days. Further, told that e-mail is sent to me (I cannot access a printed copy until Monday morning). Nevertheless, I was vocally assured that both rental truck along with double-axle trailer are now at above location in Jacksonville, FL, having never set foot on the property (computer demands a response about cleanliness (?).

BRUCE NThere was a very rude older man at this location. Our uhaul wasn't in the spot as designated from our reservation, the keys were with the older man who was out on the lot. He wanted to yell at us to move from where we parked, which was behind the truck we were renting, because the spots at the front were all full at the time. The vehicle was run down. Brakes were almost non-existent. Very disappointed to have spent the sum of money we did for that service and vehicle. The only good part was the other 3 employees I had help me. I would not rent from this location again though because of my experience with the older man.

TYRONE MWhen I emptied my units I saw roaches! When I put the stored boxes and furniture in my home.. roaches were throughout my items. I killed them as I saw them however; I'm now petrified that I missed some and now I will have a problem at home even though I have a clean home and ocd about it. There were no lights in the units so perhaps there were more I did not even see! I understand they came from other consumers units but ,the units, especially for the cost, and climate controlled.. they should have been better sealed off from one another so this doesn't happen. I have 4 kids and 1 is literally medically allergic to roach feces! The people who work there were very kind and professional. The entire facility seem to be clean and well kept on the surface. Therefore, none of this was expected! As I said, I hope and pray this does not come to be a problem in my home! Even last night as I was watching TV, a roach crawled across my screen. I've never seen a roach in my place prior to unloading. Therefore, I know it came from the U-Haul facility. I'm very unhappy about this!

Nothing. The staff is nice but you can tell they're very overworked and over stretched with too few of them. One person behind the counter when I came looking for info and was getting ready to clock out when I came because they already had 10+ hours. You run skeleton crews, a practice uhaul has always done. There's a lot of homeless people with free range around the property. They use the bathroom to clean themselves. Simply put, my stuff is not safe with uhaul so I moved it out and am now at Extra Storage Space where they have employees, security and run a tighter operation. On top of the frustrating level of poor operations, Uhaul has the audacity to raise prices on their storage units that are all busted up now. I will never use this company again. I intended to start a Reddit grievance thread about uhaul experiences and grow it because it seems like there's plenty of them and would love for others to know what they're getting into before they choose.

He or she always carried themselves as a professional, and I appreciated that, but I felt bad for them because they were overwhelmed with different jobs to do besides helping at the front when it was a long line. We currently have a storage on Pearl St; and have never seen a bug. ( very clean. ). We used your service for the truck because, we moved from a few blocks from you all. ( close to the apartment we were packing our items. I will close with saying you all have good , well trained workers. He stated that there have been break ins since July and the site never contacted anyone to check on their units. My lock which I bought directly from Uhaul same location was damaged/tampered with and the customer service person would not even help me. When she called the GM Mike Pena he stated there was nothing that he could or would do and that I should just call a locksmith. Which I did at a cost to me of almost $200. It is filthy. Restroom had no soap and the garbage can was over flowing. The rudeness of the employees that work at the storage unit is beyond unacceptable. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am in this facility. At this point I am wholeheartedly advertising against any of my military friends and family who are moving to the area to store any belongings at this Normandy Boulevard, FL site or to use this location. We endured financial loss and emotional stress, however again, the staff was very helpful and sympathetic through the entire ordeal, and even before that when we never had any issues.

Last time it was the third party movers that called to say they were on the way and ultimately never showed up. This time? I reserve a 10x30 storage unit for my family's belongings and since y'all use two websites or whatever the worker said, they had no record of this. It was Sunday. All other storage units nearby were closed because it was Sunday. I had to scramble to find a place for my stuff. Uhaul was so kind to offer me a unit 45 minutes away at a cost of free for a month. Thanks. That was included in my one way rental. Also they guy said for $125 cash per hour he'd unload it. Never again.

Our move out (of our storage unit) and loading onto a truck (Rented day of) was easy and without any hiccups. There was a small issue with the storage unit, but upon calling the location and discussing, the employee, manager, and GM were all extremely helpful and got the issue resolved, no problem. Thanks for all y'all do! Will definitely be using services at this location again in the future

The upstairs units are totally insecure and nothing was done at all to secure them after all the break-ins started happening. I was offered no alternative, safer unit. You have no business offering storage if you can't keep criminals from simply climbing over the walls to do as they want with other people's belongings.

Arranged reservation through call center and they said we were all set with payment using our corporate credit card. Employee arrive to pick up uhaul and now they needed actual credit card. I went down there and now they wouldn't take it because corporate credit card was not under my name - the story goes on and on. They were completely unhelpful and unsympathetic about the new employee to had arranged everything to drive to Tampa and move to Jacksonville this weekend.

Terrible customer service from the majority of previous employees, especially the managers for the past 15+ years. These employees have been consistently EXCELLENT: Kaitlyn Lucontro, Mike Henson, Jarod Floyd, Beth and I can't remember his name, tall, clean shaven, short hair, Caucasian man, I think in his 40s. The number of carts has been decreasing in the past several years from 7 or 8 down to 3. In the last few years, the restroom has very often been out of paper products or out of order.

I have a problem with this facilities rules of no receipt of payments of monies paid in advance and the contract is cancelled 2 weeks before the end of the month. It's like being robbed having to pay for services not rendered. It upset me greatly. I am going to another Uhaul in another state and they would not even give me my money to credit them. They caused me stress. They should send me a check for the residual monies.
