Lost an hour of time due to understaffing. My reservation was for 9. I didnt get my truck until 10, losing an hour and gaving to pay for help for that hour also. Got charged for a second day on top of it even with returning the same day. Mandatory insurance when I have my own insurance? Robbery and greed. I will NEVER use your company or service in my moving endeavors in the future. It stinks and I feel robbed.
Branden JWe made an appointment for installation of a tow hitch for 8:00 AM on 5/28/25. We dropped the car off at 7:45 on the 28th thinking the car would be done fairly quickly as we had made the appointment 3 weeks prior to the 28th. The car was finished around 3:30. Apparently there were cars ahead of us? If so that was not explained to us.

After coming back they said they couldn't find me in the system…had to make a new appointment and come back a few days later. Once I showed up, they said their printer wasn't working and I needed to sign papers. After picking up vehicle I realized the hitch installed was the wrong size

You guys quote one price for a certain location destination for uhaul truck rental. Then you go the next day with the uhaul truck rental center paperwork and then they give you a total different higher quote price. That's insane. They can't be doing that. That's not fair at all. Not everyone is rich or have a lot of money available like that to give out. Everyone is in a money spend budget.
JOSE GGeneral Manager hooked up the trailer for me but didn't tighten it down so as soon as I tried to load the trailer it popped off and hit the spare tire on the back of my bronco.

So they gave me 2 stores, which was not together, cause somebody had their stuff in it. And the lock was already on. It so I had to come in the next day, which is on the seventh. And I got another your storage and the help that I got on Saturday. The clerks that help me. They need to be a little mohelping with the customers that come in. I will not use this location again nor recommend it due to the hidden fees and attitude of the representative when I questioned the fee.

BRIGETTE RArrive at 7 to pick up Truck, agent stated that they needed a few minutes before they could help us and walked off, upon the agent returning about 10 minutes later, truck was not checked in/available to rent, agent was on the phone talking about a door that was locked from the inside and could not be accessed while she was checking us out, she was focused on the door and she said truck is ready and we walked out, upon inspection fuel level was just a smidge over half mark and the mileage was 30k off from contract, I fueled the truck back to fuel level indicated on dash and was charged for fuel upon vehicle check in, I called and spoke to the same agent that checked us out and she stated the walk around or emailed contract was the appropriate time to respond and let them know fuel level was off, agent did NOT communicate that to us when we picked up the truck. She was overly concerned with a door locked from the inside that she did not properly explain the check out process nor did she request we walk the vehicle, she only stated that fuel needed to be at same level we picked up. I called to dispute fuel charges and agent stated via phone that fuel charge is valid. Poor customer service, lack of communication at truck rental while signing contract, and extremely rude. You cannot expect customers to know your policies if you do not properly communicate them. It is your responsibility to ensure that I the customer knows that upon rental we need to inspect the contract and make necessary adjustments to your companies poor documentation of the prior rental check in, why we the customer are responsible to check in the truck and ensure your documentation is accurate is unacceptable especially when such policies were not verbally communicated, and the agent's response that it is in the signed contract is ridiculous. I get that things happen as I am also in an industry that relies heavily on surveys, in fact I am paid based on my CSI, agents lack of communication is not OK, most customers just want to be properly greeted, given full attention at transaction, and have concerns heard instead of being scripted "charged are valid per contract" when said contract was not explained and we were rushed out with a fill up fuel back to level on dash which was done. Greet customers, don't brush them off, be present when checking in customers, and do not push concerns aside especially when you are fully aware that you did not properly check me out.

GUSTAVO MThe lady that rented the car dolly, hooked it up to the rental truck and walked away without inspecting it. I checked the lights and found the left driving light was not working. I went back inside and all she said was that she could refund the trailer, or I can put the car's hazard lights on. I was moving the car cross country, and that was not going to happen. I told her I would figure it out... When I loaded the car on the dolly, the right tire was low(22 psi). I had to fill the tire, and only drive during daylight. Very bad experience.

BENJAMIN SYou can let the customer know that there are no hand trucks available. When the customer orders it online. What's the truck? Because I was not able to move my furniture and boxes without a hand truck. And I had to return the truck without using it and got charged for it. I'm disputing this transaction with my credit card company.

(yes, female staffer helped) 2. any tips for driving a 10 foot truck? (yes, go slower on roads and realize you are longer than a car and take extra caution changing lanes) 3. does the truck take regular unleaded? (yes) and 4. where's the closest Goodwill to drop items? (half a mile north). All of the staff were friendly and informative. I appreciated that the heat and radio worked just fine.

I waited outside in 11ºF cold for a 3-minute-late opening (there is no "only" before 3 minutes when you're outside in the cold). From there, however, it got better. The woman who helped me was kind, knowledgeable, and fast. When I returned the truck 8 hours later, the young man I met outside told me to leave the truck where it was, took the keys back, let me know they could take care of the check-in, and I was on my way. I gave the location 4 stars; but if they had opened on-time, it would have definitely been 5. And if you ask me about the website, I'd give that 2 for the lousy way it requires customers to pay up before finding out their expected charge.

DAVID BLocation & amount of equipment available is why I'd use this location again. The GM, Tyrone, used profane threatening language towards another customer that was being difficult, and had no de-escalating skills for problem solving. He was knowledgeable about the equipment, but has no business dealing with customers w/out further training.
DAMON BGeneral manager was very rude telling me that I would have a $500 fee to return the truck here when this was the location for return. Had to go find an employee as no one was around. They seemed as if I was bothering them to do their job. I have rented uhaul for years now at this location and the new GM is not customer friendly at all. Was wearing street clothes no sign he even worked for uhaul if he even was the GM like he claimed. I will be using Penske from here out

KIBROM WThe elevator was horrible. The door is ridiculously heavy to close and open. And it was a consistent pain and headache and inconvenience if someone did not close the elevator back for the next person. The whole system is inconvenient. What if you get someone moving in or out and need the elevator for an extended period of time? It's bad for the person using it and the people waiting to use it. Also the lightening inside the units is "0". Each unit should have a lightbulb, because it's hard to see inside. Lighting should be added for customers convenience and not at their expense.

DALE IThis U-Haul location was truly NO help. Did not help w safety check/check in at all- just gave us keys. Did not prep the truck whatsoever. They didn't brush the snow off and our truck was blocked in by other U-Haul trucks. You would think that if they knew we were coming (which they did because we reserved) that the staff would make sure our truck is accessible and ready to go after checkin.

Several times we were stuck on the 3rd floor because the elevator doors had not been closed and had to call for help (too long a process) so we could get down. I believe the previous staff were the ones trying to keep my business because if I was late, they would call me and remind me to pay my payment, which I would do right then, which happened quite often until this last time I came in there was a lock on my storage instead of them calling me for the payment. I put out after being a long-term customer of a storage that really had junk in it and that is the reason I moved out you Now for not having another three years of me paying $100 a month for storage that had useless stuff stored. But you can thank them for me because I'll be saving that money because all I did was trash the stuff in the storage and now no more bill!

Michael H | Premières impressionsThe entrance to the facility is basically in an alley behind several buildings, making it uncomfortable due to the area and vagrants asking for money in exchange for "helping." We noticed a couple of them piggy backing into the facility after customers used a code to open the entrance, when gaining access to the building. We came during the day and it did not feel safe, which I could only imagine it would feel even less safe after dark. We were stuck on the after unloading our first load into our unit on the second floor. Presumably, "another customer had not closed the door on the 3rd floor after exiting the freight elevator." We paged the helpdesk and were told they would be right over… we could hear other customers on the first floor getting frustrated and yelling up the elevator shaft for someone to close the door so they could also use the elevator. After 15+ minutes, we finally heard the office tenant yell up to "take the emergency exit to get out." Once we got outside, the tenant stated she could not gain access from the outside because her co-worker had taken the key with them when they left. She also said that they had been having issues with the elevator not working properly for "a while now.." We got stuck the second trip up to our unit and had another person on the first floor check the elevator door, to find out it was closed, but not sending the elevator up. They opened and shut the elevator again, and immediately it sent the elevator up. This is a frustrating and inconvenient flaw or operational issue that wastes a great deal of time and patience during an already unpleasant chore.. moving.. it would be helpful if there was a stairwell inside of the building to gain access between floors in these elevator door sensitivity instances. We were eventually able to finish our move in and monitored the elevator doors very closely.. moving as quickly as possible to avoid having to close them between moves.. we were lucky it wasn't a very busy time and no one was inconvenienced by us holding up the elevator between trips.

She was suberbly competent, quick, and totally well-versed in the business. I just rented a storage room, and a van for a day's move. I thought I would need it longer, but got the moving done in just one day. Early return? No problem. From what I have seen, this facility is a first-rate operation.

She tried to charge me a late fee and threaten me with a lien on my property after all my items were gone. I had to file a formal dispute in order for a storage unit that I only used for a month and three days. I was disappointed because I have always used that particular uhaul facility for all my moving needs. As long as she manages that store I will not take my business there.

There were a number of employees who discriminated against us for the whiteness of our skin and our hairstyles (or lack of hair in my husband's case). A lighter-skinned young black female with spiral curls was extremely hard to communicate with, and she denied us bigger rooms and bigger vehicles both times we were in there. The last day she seemed to disable our access card, which was very inconvenient. A black male employee locked us on the second floor when we were bringing our things. He knew we were up there because he talked to us. The only non-racist we encountered was the employee who first checked us in, a young, thin black girl with slightly darker skin. She was very friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about the way the other girl was treating us.

I was frustrated but U-haul and the staff did address the situation vigorously and treated my unit 4 times a week for 3 weeks. I was happy that they took my situation seriously but very unhappy that I had a problem with cockroaches for nearly a month. The staff and management was very accommodating, however, and took my frustration seriously and assured me It was being addressed. It was being addressed and by the time I moved out one year and one month later, I no longer had any issues with cockroaches.

We continued to beat on door Meanwhile other storage customers went in and out saying this happens all the time. Finally the crack head living on 2nd floor closed doors. While I put my objects in storage I left doors open until another customer came and promised he would be sure to close doors. Well he didn't. I was yelling out of 3 rd story windows To get someone to close doors. Never ever will I close doors to allow use by anyone while I'm at facility. In stead of me contacting you about my dispute, you can contact me and. Convince me not to shoot your company down by every chance I get.

Lauren L | Premières impressionsI had no issues with the cleanliness of the building or with the staff, but I had a handful of times I was unable to access my storage because the elevator wasn't working. The inside elevator doors would not stay open they would close on me while trying to come in and out and it would hit me on the head. There was also a few times that I would be at my storage unit and trying to call the elevator and was stuck on the second floor for over 10 minutes. There was also no bathroom on the second floor for my daughter who is potty training to use. During the summer there is no ac on the second floor so it got hot very quickly. And to be completely honest, using the smallest unit available it was way to expensive. I will not ever reccomend this uhaul storage to anybody, and will not ever come here again.

None the less, I felt they took advantage of my homelessness and gave me a unit that the lighting was bad (time out every 5 min). Also, it appeared someone attempted to pry the lock off in May, which forced my hastened my decision to move out. They did not refund me for the 20 remaining days on rent. Also the one and only cargo elevator was often broke or way too busy!

You will get stuck on the 2nd or 3rd floor due to there only being one access then you have to wait for useless to get off there phones to come close the elevator so you can leave. Worse experience I've ever had with Uhaul you need to fire everyone and start over. Also if you call the manager you will never be contacted I got screwed out of a month's rent because the fire department shut the building down for 4 weeks. I called and left 4 messages all polite and got zero response.

Virginia D | Expérience généraleThe only complaint I have is that I walked into the U-Haul office on November 1st (the day my rent was paid through auto pay) and asked the following… "if I rent a truck from U-Haul today and clear out my storage today, will I get any money back on my rent that had just been paid for the entire month of November?" I was EXTREMELY disappointed to find out that I would not get anything back. I think that is ridiculous and unacceptable. At a minimum, I should have been given at least 1/2 a month back, knowing that you will likely re-rent that unit w/in 2 weeks. I was beyond disappointed in U-Haul as a company as a result. My family has spent quite a bit of money at U-Haul over the past year, and this situation will cause me/us to think twice and find alternate options the next time I need a truck or storage. Big fail on U-Haul's end!!!

The young man that explained and showed me how things work was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. The facility was clean. There were not enough rolling carts to go around and luckily the person next to us was just finishing up with his cart. The elevator stopped working and should be checked. Luckily we didn't need it but the other group of people that was there did need it. Overall I would recommend this location to others.

I've contacted U-Haul through email stating that it would be fixed soon and wasn't. I left for FL in June and came back in August and still the light didn't work. The only answer I get since April is we know and working on it. When I have the chance I will contact the BBB and made sure O took videos of the lights not working and kept the emails stating you were going to fix something you never did and still charged my account.

Michelle S | Premières impressionsThe building housing my storage unit was clean and well maintained, however the restroom no so much. When you are moving in, or out of a storage unit depending on the size of the unit, or how much time you spend there, at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. I was typically in and out of there quickly, but the couple of times that I did need to use the restroom it was below standards in my opinion. Was it the most disgusting restroom that I have ever seen, no it wasn't, but it needs more thorough cleaning, and more frequent attention, especially given that it isn't a public restroom, so not just anybody has access to it. The only other problem that I had was that I moved into the unit in late May 2021 with the promo of 'One month free'. Before I completed my first paid, and first free month I received a notice of an increase on my rent. One of the reasons given was to ensure facility upkeep and cleanliness! This is the same facility that doesn't keep the restrooms clean! Bad move. First of all I just moved in and you are already increasing my rent! On top of that you say it's to help keep the facility clean, and I don't even want to use the restroom because it's just not clean enough??!! That's a hard pass for me. I immediately gave notice to move out. The general manager said that she doesn't decide when the rent is going to be increased, which is probably true, but software is a thing. They should have a program that can flag the move in date of each unit, and send an increase based on when you moved in, not just the same random date for everybody!! It leaves a bad taste when you just moved in!! At the end of the day, I found a facility that is much closer to my home, super clean, and at a price that I can live with! Having said all of that, the staff was always friendly, though the wait could be long sometimes even with just a couple of customers in ahead of you. Overall it was a fine experience, but could have been better.

phillip w | Premières impressionsWe were dealing with an unexpeted situation that day, so finding a place that has truck rentals, AND storage facilities was awsome! We had previously decided to use a storage facility in Lone Tree, (which is VERY CLEAN) and closer to were we live, but having been given a unit in your newer building across the street which is also clean, AND brightly lit, we just decided to take advantage of the convenience of what you offer. Now when you are moving it takes time, so at some point you are probably going to need to use the restroom. That is where you guys fell down a little bit. While it wasn't throw-up inducing disgusting, it could have used some attention. There was dried #2 residue in the toilet bowl. The fact that it was dry, and would not even flush away after a couple of us used the facility indicates that it was probably left there from much earlier in the day (or maybe even from a previous day), and is really not acceptable. The bathroon should probably be checked AT LEAST once an hour, and the employees should be required to bring the proper cleaning materials with them EVERY SINGLE time, so that they can address whatever problem they encounter. They aren't going to use their hands to clean a dang somewhat public toilet, which is obviously understood. That's why they need to bring a toilet brush with them (or maybe even leave one in the bathroom) because NO ONE is going to steal a nasty toilet brush. Cleaning the toilet regularly will also cut down on stinky bathroom odors. We got hungry at a certain point and ran to grab some food to bring back to the facility (we ate it on the curb outside), so we needed to wash our hands. Dealing with the bathroom right before eating was frankly, GROSS! Other than the bathroom, I was quite happy with the experience. All of the employees we friendly, and the guy that helped us was great!

The owner was available to help and kept a watchful eye on situations, which was nice, but the few times I needed help and he wasn't there, it was nice to know his staff was willing to follow his lead. I hope I won't ever need to store items again, but if I do, I won't hesitate to call on this U-Haul Storage facility.

Then when I got on the phone it was taking a while. Eventually, I ended up moving my stuff to Edgemark which is closer to where I am staying adding convenience for me. Thank you for reaching out.

That got sort of pricey...and they were hungry and slowed down even more.
