The location was fine; parking was a bit difficult. There wasn't any clear signage to indicate customer parking and if you have to park on the side of the building, the equipment return made it difficult to get out of the parking lot. The truck was bad. It became evident that there was something wrong with the transmission. It was difficult getting up to speed and that was a big issue when getting onto the thruway. At a red light, the truck lurched forward and almost hit the car in front of me and the steering was quite loose which made it feel like manual steering. For someone who does not drive a truck, it was quite scary. I've rented from this location before and came back because of the service I received. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will probably rent from here again but will be more diligent about making sure the truck is in proper working order. U-Haul was lucky that no one got hurt because of the condition of the truck.

I was given the incorrect rental truck for my use. The size of the truck (20 foot) was correct however the information for the mileage & plate number were not correct. I called U-Haul corporate office to make sure they were aware I had a truck with incorrect information on my rental agreement in the event I was stopped by the local authorities. In addition-the rental agent at my locally-Haul store forgot to give me my rental agreement, I needed to return to the U-Haul store to ask for a copy of my rental agreement-by a different agent, because the agent who had my agreement was not available. This was an aggravation & valuable time wasted. Last, even though the rental truck was clean (inside) the 20' box truck was "well weathered" & not the best condition-it did however do the job.

The tongue jack was very hard to turn. I believe it was all rusted just like the ratchet straps for the tire strap hold downs. Also, the tongue release on the ball was stuck. I had to shake it up and down a bunch of times and pull on it until it released. Next time I will bring it back when the employees are there. The girl I talked to in Nevada from the emergency service was really good at helping me through this. I thought I was doing everything wrong, but I was not. She did document our conversation and spent about a half hour with me.

Have mentioned before that it would be a good idea to put a garbage can in the return area for the customer to put trash in. Also I rent a vehicle about once a week for work, you have no rewards program for repeat customer's like ENTERPRISE does.

The tank was given with no gas . I had to go to the gas station twice because the guy was being a jerk and was also being mean to my father. I was trying to say that we already put $20 in the tank and we only went 30 miles. I found the woman Clark to be great, but the guy who was outside who decided to rub his head like my dad was getting on his nerves to be rude and very disrespectful. Please check how much I pay towards U-Haul because I won't be doing that again.

The ladies at the Shillington location were excellent. They made sure that my pick up went smoothly and they took their time to explain everything to me. It was after I left that the nightmare started. The hitch that I had rented had an issue with the left tire strap. I couldn't get to release until I had an engineer from the hotel come help with it. It took over 45 minutes to get to release. Also the dashboard kept flashing that the gas cap was open when it wasn't. This happened halfway/2 hours into the trip, SMH 臘‍♂️! The staff at Depew location were very friendly and helpful.

I am so pissed off right now. I dropped off the truck and I have a picture of it that the phone charger and the connector was connected to the truck while I dropped it off when I went back the next day to get the charger back they told me they did not have it. This is unacceptable for employee to steal customers item or to task it whatever the case may be and not contact customer this is employees responsibility to contact the customer and when I try to contact the manager, that response I got is we don't have it. I will never use this trucking company ever again. This is disrespectful, dishonest for somebody to do something like this, and a manager who is supposed to be the face of the company, not taking care of the problem. I need somebody to contact me higher up. Like I uploaded picture inside the truck when I put the pads in there and lock the truck at the drop off on transit Road 6161 Transit Rd. in Depew that shows on the picture when you zoom in that charger still hanging in there, I did not realize till I went and lock the truck and went in the car and was looking for a charger and went back to the location the next day to pick it up

I paid for this storage unit for several years and when the decision came for my family to clean it out and consolidate what was in there, we were unable to use the dumpster located at the facility to get rid of what we were no longer keeping. After paying several thousand dollars to use the storage unit to then have to rent a truck to dispose of our garbage soured me on the whole experience and I will not recommend U-Haul storage to people as there are many other options available.

The trailer had broken glass in it. The place of location is good, the parking lot is small and the trailers are parked facing the back of the lot instead of facing the road so you can pull right out. You need to be able to turn the trailer around between parked cars. This was not an ideal situation for a full size pickup and a 12 foot trailer. This must be U-Haul's driving test for the renters. I could only recommend to a friend who can rent a truck or be able to maneuver the trailer.

I needed to bring the van 1 way. The site asked me for a drop off location which I input. My fiancé brought me to the pick up location which was 25 minutes away. I was then told that I had to bring the van back to that location. If I'd known that I would have saved myself the extra trip out to pick it up and the trip back after dropping it off. After I paid for the van I asked why it asked for a return location if I had to bring it back to the pick up one. He said one way was only for the box trucks which are the exact same price to rent. They had them available but didn't bother to even offer me the option.

Steering was loose, brakes spongy, box was not swept out in awhile and when I picked it up it had a 1/8 of a tank of fuel. I had to put gas in it right after I got it. Don't think I'll be back.

I rent a 10 foot truck and a dolly to pull a car I purchased. As soon as I got the truck and the dolly and I left the parking lot of the U-Haul facility. I got a call the vehicle sold so I made a U-turn and I came back to the facility. And I explain to them what just happened but yes, they still charge me $52 for the rental. I wasn't happy about it, but the guy he was so rude and he don't wanna even look at me because I returned the vehicle so quick. I'm not happy with it. I will never recommend the facility again. As much as I like U-Haul company and I usually rent vehicles from them and my family to remove things. After what happened yesterday I would never recommend it again.

I was charged for 2 gallons of gas for a truck I used for 45 minutes and drove 14 miles. The gas gauge never moved. Luckily I took a picture. I called to ask about it and got the national U-Haul on. Luckily they understood and refunded it. The mistake I made was just letting them email me the receipt. I should have waited so I could have questioned it. If I ever rent again I will make sure I don't leave without a finalized bill.

Ignition was a problem. Had to keep turning the steering wheel back and forth to get the truck to start. The heating system was very noisy. Plus I got overcharged for gas. Manager did credit me. Man checking me in outside was rude and did not want to hear my complaints,

I would definitely recommend UHaul to anyone needing a storage unit. It was clean and convenient and every staff member I delt with over the past two years have been exceptionally nice and helpful.

That one female worker with the short cut that dress like a boy is extremely rude and disrespectful and I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! She made my move even MORE DIFFICULT!! I came here specifically because online it says if you rent a truck, you get a month free of the storage unit then when I got there, I was told it was online thing only and not at that location. then I was specifically told that I could come and go at any time throughout the night into my storage unit that I had paid for and when I got there, it was locked and closed and I had to wait till six in the morning to get my stuff into the storage unit. I was only there for 13 days to use the storage unit was very unhappy with the whole situation. I feel like I should get my money back or some of it back because I wasn't even there for a month and I paid $150 for a storage unit that I didn't agree to I asked for one that you can pull up to and she completely ignored me and gave me one in the way back corner that you couldn't pull up to. I will ever come back to this location or use it as storage unit at U-Haul ever again and I won't recommend it to anybody ever!! Very unhappy and disappointed with everything here

I really appreciate the employees at this facility. They were super friendly and very helpful. I'm in a big transition in my life and wasn't quite sure how to handle moving, but they went out of their way to help me and answer all my questions! I think the person I spoke with the most is named Ally? They were literally the best! And the person who works outside collecting the Uhuals, very nice and super hardworking! It's seems like it's always busy at this location, but he always keeps the line/drop off moving fast! Will definitely recommend this location to anyone moving!

Only negative comment I have is that management of this U-haul facility clearly allows people to rent their units as a places of business, which has always been illegal in other states where we have lived. One business unit (I saw them working and moving product every time I went to my storage unit.) is right next to the large access door, so ingress/egress was always very difficult for me; and their cars were always blocking that dock door as well. However, I'm not giving a lower rating because everyone was kind and respectful whenever I asked them to move; I simply should not have had to do that every time (literally) I went to my storage unit.

I was super disappointed in the storage facility. My unit was covered in cobwebs and debris. It was absolutely freezing inside with no good lighting so it's dark in my unit. If I hadn't just paid $130 for a U-Haul!to move it all in, I wouldn't have unloaded all of my belongings into the space. I will definitely be using the next month to move somewhere better. I moved from a storage unit that was $75 a month, indoors, beautiful facility to this for almost double the price. Not worth the price- I'm very upset.

Elaine is the manager ,and she is an exceptional ideal employee always willing to help with any problems, love this location at 6161 Transit Rd. Highly recommend this location. You have to wait ,and be patient staff is short and times are changing nothing is as it was but the staff that is there working hard to make sure you get what you need, thank you for being so helpful !

Staff was very, very helpful. Even though extremely busy two of the young women were particularly excellent. I'm sorry I don't know their names, but one help me check in and get everything arranged; the other helped me get a very large and heavy item into my storage room. (I hope she doesn't get in trouble for helping me, she was an excellent example of your helpful staff.)

Great site and the staff was awesome. However making the reservation was a pain. I was told that I could do it online but the site will allow multiple ppl to make the same reservation. So I called - waited over 2 hours on hold and finally got to talk to someone. This made me think that I had the reservation. When I went into the store the next day, the staff told me the same thing - I still might not have it since the system allows multiple ppl to book the same space. Luckily I did get it - but that's a really frustrating and upsetting system.

I have always had a pleasant experience at this facility! The only reason I moved out was it was no longer necessary for me to house my belongings. The people at the registers were always very friendly and helpful. I would choose to do business with again, and will definitely recommend them to friends!

There was one problem. In this facility, there is a drive-in option to get you out of the weather. Very nice, out of the weather and close to the storage unit. The issue is the floor is finished in a gloss polish. When I stepped out of my truck, my foot slipped and I fell to the ground. My while I understand the effort to keep the facility clean, I would suggest changing the floor finish to a "sand imbedded or textured" surface. Other than that, great people, gre3at site.

Used the "rent now" feature online to receive "free" disc lock. Unit was locked with a padlock and no "free" lock was provided. Employees stated that it was not included and I had to purchase a lock for $10 - 12. Other than the awful 1st attempt to get my unit, things are great. Just glad I didn't try to access the unit after 7 without any assistance for this debacle.

I was very unhappy at this U-Haul, every time I came to my storage unit the door was blocked so could not get in I would have to sit and wait for at least 20 minutes for some one to move the truck
