Not a full tank. Was charged for gas. Windshield wiper fell off while I was driving. It was raining. Not to mention this was the 3rd time we had reservations for the other 2 to be canceled and wasting my time and money. We drove almost 2 hours to be told there was no trucks.
MEAGAN BThe only negative is when I went to return the trailer the attendant was not with another customer and went on with his business while I sat there waiting... if he was with another customer, I understand, but since he was not, I think he should have dropped what he was doing to help me with my return.
JEFFREY CMajor issue, we were given a MUCH larger truck for "no extra charge" but we carefully sized the truck that we needed. The one that we reserved was in for repairs, which is fine, but the GAS for this huge truck was MUCH more and we gave it back with at lesat $50 in free gas to you when we returned it. We really should be compensated for this extra gas which was well over 150.00....we know because we have taken 2 other 20 ft trucks on the same route in the last two months, so we know that it was much more for the larger truck.
DAVIN CGreat customer service the guy helped me as he help another so I wont wait forever. He was respectful funny and knowledgable. I think my truck miles were a bit off issue wise other than that it was fine. My help left my mattresses and they are allowing me time to get them. I wasted time due to constant rain so maybe offer some relief there I ended up needing another day. Great staff and after hour experience with Seth.

We were not given the correct size unit, were met with poor attitudes from staff, were forced to stay the night in Dayton after being given the wrong size unit and the facility closing, and are still waiting to hear back from the manager about our experience. We will likely never store with Uhaul again.

JESSICA HHorrible pick up experience. Location only had 1 employee working the customer desk. I scheduled pick up for 9:30am. Arrived at 9:30 and waited 1 hour to check out. I had completed the reservation online, but check out still took 15 minutes. I had to answer the same questions that I had completed online. I had to back the truck out of the parking lot myself. And truck had less than 1/4 tank of fuel.
DAVID AI reserved the yrailer close to home in Germantown OH. I got a notice that coporate took his trailer and I would get notification to pick it up in a nearby town. Got notification to pick up at 3rd St location. Went there to pick up and clerk said it showed pickup was at Miamisburg location, but since he had a trailer he took car of it there and I left with a trailer. WTH is the point of having a local U-haul if after I make a reservation days in advance I have still have to drive 15-20 miles to another store? All the people and stores were great. In this case the overall process was a mess.

At this location, our customer service representative brought the truck around for us and was very helpful in hooking up the trailer.

MICHAEL CThe only complaint that I have is that I came in on a Monday to reserve a car transporter and when I came back a few days later to pick it up, the reservation was not available and I was stuck renting something that I did not want. It accomplished my mission but I would have preferred the transporter.

I was able to make it to this location and slept in my personal truck until they opened at 7 am Monday morning. AJ was most helpful in getting me set up in a U-Haul truck and a U-Haul trailer to haul my disabled personal truck back home to Tennessee. He was truly a great representative for U-Haul!

Then they tried taking an extra $10 out of my account at Wright Patt then trying to charge me $15 late fee, turned my keys in April first

MARK MClosed right at 7 and did not set up the 24/7 key for a van I wanted. Switched for a box truck with check engine light and bad suspension. Also had a light fall out when on highway.
MICHAEL CI made a reservation for 7am. It appears that the employees don't show up until a few minutes later and weren't expecting anyone to be there. So I actually got in the door at about 715. Then I'm told that it would be best if I came back for the trailer I rented because they couldn't access it. I'm sure being in this industry, you're aware of how stressful moving is in general. And having to waste time, gas, mileage on the truck only makes that worse. Not to mention the fact that I wanted to get in the truck and leave. But before I could, i had to find the truck as it wasnt in the right space, then I have to take a bunch of pictures and verify my equipment, which honestly should be done by an employee before the customer gets there. Overall, this experience has made me decide to choose a different truck rental in the future.

Robert RU haul messed up my reservation from the very beginning then had me going further to pick up the truck with no call letting me know the location changed. Then when I dropped off the truck I had to pay extra mileage. That wasn't my fault you changed the pick up location not me so so should not have had to pay for mileage.

I called customer service who said my card had been declined. U-Haul would have never given me the truck had that been the case.

I didn't appreciate having to walk all the way to the customer service desk to go get the lock off for something I know I made payments on time. Then be told or asked did you make your payment on time when clearly it said in the uhaul computer system I did male my payments on time. I got no apology or anything. The associates there doesn't take the time to realize the correct storage units that does pay on time. I will not be coming to this location again.

Doesn't seem like anyone working there has any pride or want to be there. Someone out there give this guy some help.

I had no worries about whether my property was secure. I certainly appreciated the transport carts that are available to move items in and out the storage unit. I loved the fact that my unit was on the first floor. If I ever need a storage facility, I would definitely use this facility again. Merci

They told me that, because they were a UHaul franchise, my booking the storage facility on line didn't integrate with their systems. Therefore, I had to upgrade to a larger unit at a higher cost. The exact unit size I ordered was NOT available even though I reserved it months ago. Very frustrating and this will lead me to look to other storage options.

You should keep your original rates not keep increasing them up every month.

I understand that rodents are a problem in a storage facility but the smell of their urine should be a problem that should be addressed. I don't want 6 months from now if I move out my furniture to smell like urine.

The uhaul located at 1340 EThird St in Daytime n , Oh was by far the worst as far as the employees, manager was rude and unprofessional, when I rented a truck to empty out my storage unit that's when I discovered all my property was ruined and mildewed and moldy but they closed so had to take it and called the next morning to get screamed at by a manager when asked what. Should do and how to note everything before trying cl rental was due co.the facility and storage areas was filthy. There was blood in the restrooms, i let them know but because they were closing for the day it wasn't a priority. There was people living inside and walking around like they owned it and helped me more than the employees. I would never refere how do you spell referring her rooma friend at this location. I would also never tell anybody ne my experience there either . I just hope things change for the better of n the future .

They are very nice and caring and their customer service is excellent! I would definitely recommend the E. 3rd Street location to anyone in need of a storage unit. Those location is secure as well as clean & bug and rodent free! Also this location has a professional but understanding General Mgr that strives to make your experience great!

It was never discussed that 34 hour access could be available to me for more money. There was a purchase of a prior Ihaul that I felt I was over charged and Field Manager couldn't determine why the Truck cost was the amount leaving one City to another City. He told me to contact the Manager where I had dropped the Out Of Town Rental at his location. I was over charged for being late on a payment due to my Debit Card was destroyed by the Bank that my automatic payments were being processed for my unit on Burkhart Road in Dayton, Ohio.

Kalvin K | Premières impressionsWe moved our stuff out after watching several guys walk up to the glass sliding bay door, bang the glass a couple times and the doors open, did not need a code. Then these guys with rolling baskets leaving the storage area with odds and ends. They are getting into the storage doors, using what looks like a room stick from the ceiling and poking holes in each unit to peek inside and see if there is anything worth stealing, then they get into the units and take what they want. We watched them leave. Our unit had a hole. We complained, but didn't receive a phone call back. When the new glass doors was installed they should have been tested for flaws. I chose to throw out many of my items that held sentimental and monetary value and it was terrible to clean up the mess that was made in my unit. I'm sad that I can't claim those things as a loss with insurance.

The first time I came into the store Aughn'ae helped me, and has been there every single time I've come in and needed a rental or any assistance. He is always working and has helped me every time. I really appreciate that uhaul hires great staff for customer service also, because moving is not so great. I will always choose this uhaul location for all my moving and storage needs! Thank you!!!

erica o | Expérience généraleThe old elevator doors sometimes hopped off their track, and the double door system meant that you were competing with other people who forgot to close it on a different floor. The security scanner sometimes didn't work on my building, and I had to use the other one. No way of knowing without asking. No mice presence for 2 years, until the very end (maybe the trap got old?) Other than that, no issues.

When I returned at 9pm, a lock was still on the unit forcing me to return once again the next morning during business hours. This prevented me from being able to return the truck at the scheduled drop off time. Thankfully, I was not charged with another day for the truck at the drop off location after explaining what happened.

marcus r | Expérience généraleGood afternoon, My overall experience with U-Haul was a good one. I was greeted by a pleasant young man the day I moved my stuff into the storage. My original request was for a larger unit, after paying for the larger unit walking to the back this unit was already reserved. We walked back to the front, he asked about refunding me the difference since I now needed to downsize. The manager on duty told him, "not to worry about it, I would receive a credit the next month." The day I signed up for the unit I explained I would only need the unit for two weeks, I was informed U-haul doesn't prorate so I would be paying for the whole month. Fine no problem I needed the unit. I walk in on Friday July 31, 2020 to inquire about my refund and inform the staff I was moving out. I was then again informed the funds would be refunded to my card on file. I don't question anything the same information was provide by two different employees. Fast forward to an email telling me I was going to be charged a late fee. I make my way to the U-haul store on E. Third street to inquire about the late and why my money wasn't refunded to my account. I found out the overpayment was applied to the next month, even though I moved out and informed the staff the morning of. When the manager on dust asked me how he could help, my request was simple make sure your team understands and is aware of the information they are passing along to customers. As a customer it's not my job to know your system or how it works, it's also not my jo to police units prior to paying for it. Add the system been properly updated I would have been informed prior to paying for the unavailable unit. Easy fix I would have been offered the small unit and charged for proper amount. Customer service is key for me, I had not problem paying for the unit, I do have a problem not getting what I paid for the bigger unit. Best regards, Kia A. Richardson

The day after my daughter and I rented the storage unit, we returned to drop off some more items. We walked into the storage unit, and to say the place was an incredible mess is a giant understatement. We have a video clip of what we came across upon entering the storage unit, as it appeared everything was grossly vandalized. The isles were so cluttered with miscellaneous items and broken glass that we could not get through to get at our unit. We were slightly frightened as we did not know if there were perpetrators of any sort still in the building, and no other customers or staff were around to assist if any danger presented itself. We then left the building to go to the office and report what we found, and a staff member came to check it out. He was very nice and offered to clear a path but it was obvious this was going to take quite a long while. We were not able to wait for this as we were heading out of town, so we needed to send our items with a friend as they did not fit in our vehicle (the reason we rented the storage unit in the first place). We now need to make arrangements to drive to Chicago (3 hours away) to pick these items up. We tried to call the GM of the Dayton location, AJ Ross, on 3 separate occasions but did not receive a call back. He did finally respond to an email and simply stated, it was an auction and things got out-of-hand. He did not offer anything in the form of compensation for this despite being asked. He just did not reply any further. Please feel free to call for any additional information or clarification. We would share the video of what we witnessed as well. We will also be taking this to a higher level as this is really quite unacceptable service.

It was so hot out and we had to move our stuff more than once because we were confused about which door to go into. Overall, it was overly confusing. I think that someone should go with you to your unit instead of you trying to figure it out based off of confusing directions. Now that I know how to get in, I'm sure it won't be a problem. Just took way way way longer than needed to find our unit in the first place.
