TERRANCE Q | Expérience généraleThe door wouldn't stay shut of the trailer. It flew open twice. My pillow fell out and was lost. The 2nd time I pulled over and the door was stuck when it flew open and wouldn't come down. I had to call roadside assistance to come. I was in a church parking lot and a guy spent 30 minutes and used some tool and we finally opened it. I was on phone 20 mins trying to cancel roadside assistance and couldn't reach a person all while driving.. I finally went on U-Haul app and cancelled it. A guy called and tried to convince me I didn't know how to operate door and should watch a video he sent me. I had to use a thin rope to keep door closed and not open door fully up so it wouldn't get stuck open again. When i returned trailer the guy who I was on the phone with was there and I showed him the door latch and how it wouldn't stay shut and it appears it WAS defective after all but he didn't say he was gonna do anything about it or have it fixed and I protested it will happen to someone else but he seemed totally unconcerned. You owe me for my pillow I lost but no one will compensate me. He says you don't do that. The whole experience sucked.

ERIC MThe equipment was very well maintained, but needed to be hosed out before renting. The floor was covered with dirt. Since we weren't using it for a landscaping project, we needed to clean it before using. Cashier was competent, but surly and acted like it was a bother to serve a customer. All the other cashiers have been friendly and helpful though.

DAVID LThe general manager/owner at this location is fantastic, as are all the employees we worked with. The facilities are clean, neat, and well-organized. We only rented a trailer, but ALL of the equipment looked clean and well-maintained. When we couldn't get the taillights on the trailer to light up the general manager knew exactly where to look to find the problem; a blown fuse, so he GAVE me a new one, no charge. Number 1, knowing what the potential problems may be; Number 2, having spare supplies of those pieces on hand... Everyone seemed to realize that while this is a normal workday for them, for their customers moving is a hectic and stressful day. Working with speed and efficiency makes a notable impression. I will rent from this place again the next time we have to move one of my daughters from college or downtown. Thanks!!

Joji PI had to sweep out the trailer when we picked it up from debris from last use. Trailer was very old and had very rusty, tight and stiff leaf springs and suspension, which made for a very bouncy ride when empty.

JOHN RThe store manager who was there when I picked up the vehicle was great. However, when returning the truck, there was a different employee running the counter that was very rude to me.
CODY JI knew the unit I wanted from visiting in-person. However, I was unable to see the building map or to choose a particular unit online. Overall, the process worked with discounts applied. The facility is new & half the units close to the elevator/front half of the building have not been released. There is a very flimsy plastic container for the rodent poison containment. DO NOT let your dog come with you into the unit: they could easily ingest the poison in one container bite swipe. The facility Manager was very helpful & nice. Prices are far more reasonable than Metra across the street.

GILBERT SI have rented from this location 3 times and I usually have a smooth transaction and met with acknowledgement and respect but this last time I went in to pick up my rental van I was met by a straight up nasty attitude, I said good morning and the lady didn't even acknowledge I was there, she wasn't on the telephone so really no excuse to be so rude...I thought maybe she didn't hear me so I said it again so possibly she would look up at her Customer but instead she said very nasty just a second I'm busy. Like okay then, oh it gets better after taking my information and payment she grabs keys off the board and puts down on the counter in front of me and says it's outside...like are you serious...so I had to go out and find the van, start it up take to sun visor down and back it out of the pile of snow surrounded it. Needless to say I won't be going back to be treated like that again.

WILLIAM PThe people at the desk were extremely helpful to me as I had never rented a trailer hitch before. They guided through every step from what I needed to purchase, to hooking up the trailer to my car.

FARSHAD SI will only recommend going to this location if the manager is there. He is a professional. I had a bad experience with the female worker that is there. As soon as I parked she came out and did not say hello or anything and proceeded to open the rear doors of the van. She looked and acted like she did not want to be there and like she did not want to deal with you. Her approach was very dry asking me if I was going to fill in the tank or they would charge me. I filled it in accross the street and top it off. I mentioned this to her and he insisted she was going to charge me. I had to insist for her to wait to see the needle move. It eventually did and showed a full tank but I had to insist because she would not believe me. She insisted I rented a furniture dolly. I did not. She left inside not telling me what she was doing and I had to go inside to find out what was going on. Left the place feeling like I did something wrong and did everything by the book except being behind 1,5 hours. Not planned. I will only deal with the gentlemen that rented me the vehicle. Next day I recieved the invoice without the dolly being charged. I did not recieve any phone call for the incovenience nor the wait.

STEVEN ZMy only complaint is that when I first booked a unit I booked online for a $59 a month unit in Libertyville which was all I needed. I got there and was told you had none available. I would have to go to Gurnee (which wasn't convenient for me) or rent a larger unit. I was given one month free for the larger unit which helped short term. So I have been paying, first $99 a month and more recently $104 a month. I would have saved a lot of money had I been able to rent and stay in the smaller unit. I was wronged to have received a confirmation that I had a $59 unit when none were available. "The facility itself is very nice.

RAUL GThey day I checked out the equipment, the office was understaffed, but the young lady in the office got the hook up done quickly. Only one minor problem with equipment was a prior customer had closed down one of the safety chain hooks slightly which made it very difficult to insert into my truck's anchor point. On the road, the equipment rode well behind my truck and caused no problems with my load. Lighting system was perfect. Check in was routine.

We planned to make several trips in the evening while actively packing our stuff only to find that the storage space id card reader to let us in was not working. We were told to just come back the next day (which we couldn't) and finally after insisting we need to get in, they had someone open the facility for us… but the person could not stay and we could only keep the doors open ourselves by keeping one of us in there at all times.. we both had our own packing to do. This wasted a lot of time, money, and resources on our ends and we had to let go of some items altogether due to lack of access before 10pm as we had flights to catch. Difficult and stressful move in experience, I can only hope the card reader works for our move out. I called today to explain the situation but it doesn't seem they are willing to do anything for us. The only shining light at this place is the friendly woman at the front who really welcomed us when we first signed the lease, Vina.

I was able to get a larger unit with the first month free. But then I am stuck paying the higher unit price. Because of this snafu I cannot recommend the facility be booked online.

Moving in was wonderful! We were able to pull inside and unload, and they offered carts to facilitate moving large items. The spaces are all well lit and exceptionally clean and well maintained. So glad we found this place!

I would highly recommend this facility for storing your extra stuff!
Scott K | Déménagement en ligneMy initial experience with checking in to my new unit left a bad taste in my mouth. The staff member assisting me was very friendly and helpful. Things started off a a bad foot with the master online reservation system allowing me to reserve a unit that was not physically available at the location I chose, more or less forcing me to accept a bigger unit for a higher cost. The attendant did not express a particularly high degree of confidence in the electronic capabilities of the security access card nor in the sturdiness of the individual alarm on the unit itself. There was also a conflict of what the unit access hours were, with the paper I was handed stating until 10 p.m. but the staff member saying only 7 p.m. There was also a mention of a $10 charge for after hours access, but that is listed nowhere in the contract. I was underwhelmed to say the least.
