I was charged an extra $20 because I was told that I could drop the trailer off at the closest U-Haul location. We even turn the trailer in early. I was charged an extra $20 because that's not true. Not only that two U-Haul employees were extremely rude to me and had me in tears when I was trying to resolve the issue.

Rhonda MI drove 23 miles but got charged 10 gallons of fuel ($50) after return. I even had a photo of the fuel level when I got the truck but the person there refused to make things right. Apparently their trucks get 2,3 miles per gallon. BS.
Michael TI needed 5 containers for my move for a 2bed/2bath, which I don't think matched the recommended number, but luckily I overordered. When the moving company I chose for move help went to get the boxes, they waited at one location (after verifying the day before) just to be told to go to another location because they didn't have the boxes. By the time they got to me, it was over 2 hours later than we were supposed to start. Because of the late start, they were told after the first four boxes that the person wouldn't be at the site when they returned, so we couldn't get the 5th box. This led to me having to rent a trailer for the rest of the items. I was refunded for the 5th box, but was unhappy at having to rent the trailer because of the timing situation caused by the morning mixups. My experience at the other end of my move wasn't much better...though the two contracted moving companies were pretty great.

This time was no stress, but last time I rented, he expertly and kindly juggled a very chaotic showroom/office space, and he absolutely took excellent care of everyone and his job responsibilities. He's a good man to have as an employee, and just seems to be a good guy.

JOANN T | Premières impressionsI was told to bring the truck back on 1/8th to prevent from being charged, I brought the truck back on almost 1/4th and I was charged for bringing it back with more fuel that I received it in. Also, I returned a trailer in early and a few days later I returned the truck, when it was time to pay I was charged for the trailer even though U-haul had rented it out for people to use. Why was I charged money for a trailer that I had dropped off days early while y'all was charging someone else to you it if I still was getting billed for it? Also, a U-Haul representative over the phone told me that the U-Haul would only be an additional $40 a day for my bill but the bill came out for an additional day to over $200 something extra. The people there hadn't known where my equipment was that was turned in.
DEVONTA MPhil, the man that saved my day and move, is the greatest. He helped me turn a crappy situation around and got me on the road to my new home in South Texas. My original location for pick up of my 26' truck was supposed to be Midway Storage in Gulf Breeze FL. It was also supposed to be the pickup location for the car hauler I added to my rental. When I arrived at the office to get my vehicle inspected for the hauler, I was told that Midway no longer rented equipment one way. And that they wouldn't have had the hauler anyway. Turns out that the hauler was scheduled at the above location on Mobile Highway. And that's when I met Phil. He, with the help of the Mobile, AL routing office, found me a 26' truck only a few miles from where I would pick up the hauler. They also gave me a few extra miles since I had to go so far out of my way. Phil, if you see this, know that I'll be forever grateful that you went above and beyond to help us get to our new home. Thank you so much!!

He made the extra effort to try to locate both at locations that were not out of the way (as I had been assigned locations over an hour away). He was pleasant to talk to and I appreciate his willingness to help.
Charlene CUpon finalizing rental transaction at office and prior to receiving the vehicle, I was told the gas gauge was at 7/26, or just below 1/2 tank. In fact, when I got in the truck, it was just under 1/4 tank. So, to return the truck to the recorded gas gauge of record took 4 more gallons at a cost of $11,2 that I should not have been held responsible.

My pickup location changed the night before to a location far away that inconvenienced my plans. By adding more time. I intentionally picked the original U-Haul location because it was less than a mile away from my storage unit

We were able to recover from a driving in 108 temps, cars over heating- a trip that took a week instead of the four days- recovery a blessing. I moved out of the storage unit 07/16 the office was notified in person, I was still receiving emails about late fees and had a balance even though I paid in full. Eventually the balance was deleted. Records was not kept well or updated. My stuff have mold or/and mildew, I have pictures, but after the headache and time lost, I just wanted to be done with uhaul. The manager bad talk an employee basically saying the person was new and incompetent, which is not a leader move nor professional. The manager lied and my face and when question about he said "well?? I don't know".
quetisha g | Expérience généraleI got a code for "gate or building access" but there was neither a building to enter nor a gate (outdoor unit). I open the unit and an alarm starts going off. I tried finding someone to ask about it, and a guy (moving u-boxes with a forklift) that was there said that there was an arm/disarm panel at an adjacent building. I enter the code and get "access denied". I go back and ask the guy about it, and he said that the location was changed to an un-manned location and that I needed to drive to a different location for customer service. I elected to instead call that location versus driving my loaded truck down the road. Several calls, no one ever picked up, waited on hold with uhaul for longer than the estimated wait time, pressed the intercom button on the keypad that said it was monitored at all times, but got no response. I finally decided to just drive down there. The guy I spoke to at the main location confirmed my code was good, but said the system has been screwed up and to just ignore the alarm when it goes off. He also programmed a swipe card for the unit in case that worked; it didn't. The gentleman was very polite and knowledgeable and explained that through the cameras they would disregard the erroneous alarms from the broken system. The alarm going off is a minor inconvenience, but my biggest issue was the lack of warning initially, not knowing what to do, and the inability to get in touch with anyone on the phone or the intercom-in retrospect I wish I'd redeemed my month of storage at a different location.
