This drop off point was not my first choice. My choice was Port Leyden, NY., which is the first location on your website and close to me. Upon calling them to return, I found out they no longer deal with uhaul, and my next location was another 30 miles away, wonderful!  This location in Rome was good and the drop off was easy, just a drive. Your website is far from helpful, so remove locations that do not service you any longer. It's a waste of time and money for me to travel as I had to.

Nothing. Called last minute for a trailer and was ready as soon as I got there 30 minutes later. Turn's out I made a mistake and needed a little bit bigger trailer when I got there, but they took care of it and had me on the way in no time. They were great!

The attendant was very friendly. It was open until 7:00 PM and easy to find right on NY 46 just a few blocks from the center of Rome NY.

For the box trailers you should have wheel stands to take the trailers on and off renters trucks. It would reduce employee injury, and be easier on the renter.

The trailer door was extremely difficult to shut for myself and even my brother-in-law. It stopped about 2" away from closing. It pulled to the right the entire time you are driving it. Which is exhausting especially after you have spent days loading it. I have rented multiple trucks through u-haul and this by far was my worst experience.

Typical U-haul experience. Much better than the previous for the sole fact that I didn't have to interact with the owner. It would also be cool if he wouldn't smoke cigarettes inside the damn trucks if we cant. Every time I get a truck from here, I get home reeking of cigarettes. Brad/bryan or whatever the hell his name is, is in the wrong business. But the location itself is fine. The truck itself was fine. Its the manager and the lingering stench of cigarettes and bad attitude.

Indoor storage until you would think would be clear and clean of any water or damages done by the facility but NOPE my unit had water damage and nobody knew what I should do other then give me a managers card in which she didn't know how water would get inside to the unit but I have plenty of pictures proving different

Truck was real rough, Brad (the owner) gave horrible direction to his employees, had us waiting for 15 minutes, and then proceeds to tell me which documents I need and don't based on the fact that I needed an additional driver. I'll eat the extra 10-15 dollars next time and go to a different location. This is the first and last time I go to this specific Uhaul.

I found the staff to be very professional, both the woman checking us in and the man who checked us out. The van was fine and was the perfect size for the job we had to do. We've used this location in the distant past but the service is still as good as it used to be. This is an excellent U-Haul shop.

Put a height of the truck notice that is visible near the mirrors. Instruct driver/renter as to the location of controls, such as headlights. An overhead light in the cab would be helpful for locating controls in the dark. Inform the driver about how to release the emergency brake! The ramp was very hard to release and relock. A pull down step to get in & out of the cab would be very helpful.

Driving at night there was some very slight glare thru the windshield from the lights of oncoming traffic because a slight film was built-up on the inside of the windshield. I get the same thing on my car and periodically clean it with newspaper and glass cleaner. The newspaper keeps it from streaking. I get streaks if I use paper towels.

That truck needs a little bit of everything. Loose steering, hardly any brakes. When I got the truck it was one line below 3/4 of a tank but I didn't go inside and make them change the contract instead I should have because they charged me $8 for fuel I drove 7 miles and I put $5 in before I took it back. I shouldn't have to go in and nitpick an eighth of a tank on the contract before I leave. Also no one walk me to the vehicle no one helped me with my dolly or told me anything about anything just pointed outside and said row t, have a nice day. $5 in gas in a 10 mile a gallon vehicle means I put 12 miles in gas in the vehicle and only used a 7 mi and I ended up being charged for 2 gallons 8 something. The deal is done you got your dough but you won't get it from me again.

Storage unit leaked. You can see the path in which water will travel. There is a separation in the floor that is clearly patched but it's not enough. Would highly recommend putting in better flooring in that unit along with repair to the wall. Staff was amazing at all times but I couldn't risk my items being damaged.

Only needed storage for a short time, but this location is very convenient, clean and I had no issues from the time I started my rental to move out. It's very easy and convenient to do most things on the app, but associates at this store have also been very helpful with any questions or concerns I had.

Need to secure outside trash (aka dumpsters), seems as though pickers/homeless go through materials left in dumpsters (dumpsters are labled for customer convenience) Someone "could be" throwing away papers with PRIVATE information on it. But I understand these dumpsters are for customer conveniece and the "risk" falls to the customer vs UHaul. All-in-All EXTREMETLY PLEASED with this facility in Rome NY Lou Taverna 239-222-3032

I'm writing this in order to bring it to the attention of upper management as the cleanliness of the storage unit was not only extremely unacceptable, but also a health risk. I'm extremely disappointed and upset upon entering my unit and discovering trash, multiple cigarettes scattered around the unit, as well as having it smell absolutely horrendous. As a combat veteran who served his country, I expected U-Haul to serve me with cleanliness, dignity, and respect. Obviously I wasn't met with that and will further take my business elsewhere. Thanks for nothing.

General Manager Stephanie runs a tight ship over there! Everyplace is clean and tidy: the storage units and corridors, office, truck yard, even the bathrooms. Customer service is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I couldn't ask for a better experience!

The guy at the desk was great but I called before I got there to the main phone number and the girl I talked to reserved a unit that my local uhaul didn't even have so I ended up going with a unit that is half the size I needed. Also she told me that I could have insurance for $10 but not that it was required for my state the people on the phone should be trained and only give out is really available at the location the customer is talking about. Also I told her I wanted a unit on the first floor and I now have a unit on the second floor as again what she gave me didn't exist my my uhaul location.

I am 56 years old with bad knees and breathing issues. I didn't know I would have to climb a roll around stairway to get to top of my storage. That's only thing I'm not happy with. Manager said I would have to stop in or call everyday to see if a bottom one was open to transfer My belongings

I wasn’t informed on how to work the garage door and could figure it out on my own & couldn’t ask for help as the associate locked the door and I couldn’t reach him .. I think in the future the customer should be thoroughly informed on how things work maybe the associate can physically show people how to open the door

I am also sad to go! Stephanie and Dallas and the staff at this location are outstanding always going above and beyond to ensure the customers are cared for and feel welcome and like family. The unit I rented is a second floor unit that no one told me about as I was making the reservations on the telephone. It's very difficult to go up the stairs with heavy items. The Person on the phone quoted me the wrong price first time I called. There is a big hole in the ceiling of my unit that needs to be repaired so mice and spiders do not get into my unit. Stephanie was great!

I can not say enough about the Rome NY Uhaul! They were all so professional , knowledgeable and kind. I had my storage for over three years and I spoke with many of the employees over that time. I would like to give a special thanks to Stephanie. I become really sick one day in July of 2019, before Covid, it changed my life forever! To this day no one knows what exactly I caught, but to this day I struggle with side effects. I went through some tough patches were I was home for a week here or there effecting my pay checks. Stephanie would always call with a smile in her voice and ask when I might be able to make a payment. Sometimes I would say next week and sometimes it would be next month. I never lied about when I would be able to pay and I always paid at the time stated. She never judged or made me feel less than and it is something I really appreciate!! The roof was leaking in the storage unit they wanted to give me , poor customer service , when I mentioned the leak they didn't care to go look at it .
