My Drivers License was photographed Front & Back by the rental assistant, with her (what looked like hers) personal phone. Is this normal? It would be nice if you would explain what you are doing with the customers personal information, why it is needed to be photographed & how the personal information will be secure.

KENNETH CThe facility was very well maintained and clean. Never had any issues with pests or break-ins. They have carts provided to help transport your things from your vehicle to your unit which is very helpful. Bathrooms are also available which is very rare for a storage unit facility. The only issue I ever had was sometimes someone will unload their whole unit into the hallway which blocks the path as the halls aren't very wide. It was awkward trying to shuffle around peoples things and ask them to make room. I also noticed overtime there was a lot of homeless that do hang around the area and will occasionally sneak in the sliding door since it opens automatically. But staff never let them sleep inside or cause any damage so it wasn't really an issue overall. If I ever need a unit again I will only use this facility. No other facility in The Dalles can even closely compare to this one.

LINDA JPickup and drop off locations were not what I reserved. With less than 24 hours before pickup, U-Haul changed it to a location 35 miles away. U-Haul did the same with the drop off location. With less than 24 hours notice, they changed it to a location 25 miles away. This ended up being an additional 120 miles and over $30 in fuel. If I had known the 2 locations ahead of time, I would not have rented the trailer. I feel like a victim of a bait and switch scam.

I had the trailer for 2 days and up until right before I returned it I was getting notification after notification about pick up time. Then after returning same thing with return time. And notifications had different times than the contract.

Access is easy and I appreciate the carts to help move your belongings. Facilities are clean and I didn't notice and garbage around. I also like that there's locked entry so the homeless can't come in.

James LPaul Richards gave me excellent service and the best rate possible for a one-way AV to 97741. They are in a perfect location, and I was surprised they were open when my other regular dealer was closed for the holiday. The Dalles Uhaul is A++ number one and deserves to be dealer of the year!

I said reserved for Friday and I have started using it so it should be empty.e choose They said well you still need to a lock. Thought It was odd but I said fine. Went there realized it was was not the size it was suppose to be. So I started to closing it out. Then got email that its pending approval. After a few hours later it was approved to close. Yet the choose to keep the insurance that the required to reserve with. Called talked to employee and manager just to be told that reserving and insurance are different. So asked why did you require though. Was told it wasn't required yet it was. Only to get no where.

The 2nd time that I went in to complete the paperwork to rent the storage unit a employee/Christy was also very helpful and answered all of my questions and took me to the unit and instructed me as how to use the key pad when entering and exiting the facility. I highly recommend this U-Haul facility due to the excellent customer service, security and cleanliness!

They gave me a storage room really close to the POD so I didn't have to walk a distance. They were/are just amazing! I have had storage at this location 1,5 years. Always helpful.

Life the. Took me out of state and it was 6 months before I could get my things. At this point I was not on sight to get my belongings and I hit a lot of road blocks. I explained my situation to Paul and he went above and beyond to help me problem solve and get things working. He provided services that were well outside of what he was required to do and really took so much stress out of the experience. I know storage units are plentiful but they really care here. If you're looking in the area I would highly recommend using this location!

The main covered cargo staging area is still not operational which is a problem since if there are multiple people picking up or dropping off things everyone is cramped into one small sliding door on the front side of the building. We had the unit for around 30 days and the covered cargo area was not functional in all that time. Luckily the rain has not started yet, but when it does the current situation will not work and i'd advise you to fix the covered cargo area before the bad weather occurs.

For example the under cover loading bay was not working which was inconvenient and the staff took a long time to find an open unit in the computer system which seemed really cumbersome. The staff were polite enough but they were a little frustrated with the antiquated computer system. This seems to be a problem at any UHAUL place. I suggest UHAUL overhaul their imputed system.
