JUAN VThe inside of the trailer clearly had not been swept, and I cleaned a lot of dirt out of it before using it. This is not what I'm used to with Uhaul. But as for the people there and the entire operation, top-notch.

For someone who has never used Uhaul before I am disappointed in customer service and explanation of process. Only a 4 x 8 trailer was available at this site and had to drive 27 miles from where I lived. We had to leave items behind because there was no room in the smaller trailer. Very upset with the U-Haul experience.
Mark MMy only real complaint was that the pricing just kept going up on me. Even after we signed a contract, which was pretty one-sided and meaningless from my end. There were 2-3 price increases over the years and I finally just got tired of dealing with that.

Jonathan PMade my "reservation" for Truck and Auto transport 3 months before pickup date in Mesa AZ. Was called the day before pickup that auto transport was not in Mesa. So i had to drive 40 miles out of my way to Goodyear AZ to pick up Truck and Auto transport. This added more miles and gas to my Truck. Yes they did take $100 off but was more of Time and hassle. Uhaul should of took truck and auto transport from Goodyear to my reservation station in Mesa AZ

KELLY PClean the cab of truck before renting. Most of the staff is very friendly. Cargo van was unavailable and the person at the desk seemed distant and blunt. I was uncomfortable. But on the return I was greeted with a very pleasant and friendly person. I appreciated that. Moving is stressful and it's comforting to deal with kind people. Merci.

STUART MThe people and facilities are excellent!! Where U-Haul fails is let people know that you require insurance info, phone numbers, addresses, … . This is too time consuming to do at the desk at the facility! Is this available online? I came from another state to live in AZ, we have no one that can receive calls from U-Haul . I think some of this questionable info. Great people and excellent facility but it is too much bs to get a unit. Please review this process and make it easier for your customers , the lines get long and you get irate customer are made to weight. I weighted once only to find out my truck was taken by someone in front of me! I left To go to another facility after waiting 20 minutes when the line was not moving! Thanks for listening.

These two are what sets this U-Haul location a part from other storage locations whether it be U-Haul or a different storage facility. This particular U-Haul facility is located on Citrus Rd in Goodyear, right between Buckeye and Goodyear. It's easy access and it is right off of the freeway.

I also had an issue when I rented a van from them to empty the unit, returned it the same day and they didn't check it in until the following day after it was due. They do not answer their phones, not even uhaul customer service can get through to them.

When someone is a long time patron, you should reward them. When we asked for help we were always told there isn't anything that could be done. Lastly, when renting vehicles we were charged for fuel usage when we put more fuel in the trucks than we used. When confronted about this with receipts again we were told nothing could be done. I will never recommend this U-Haul to someone.

Received call within a day asking if we had vacated the units, told them it depends on whether they were going to prorate the units or re-rent them to someone else (we paid the entire month). They said nope not re-renting just asking. Went back and checked on units to find available tags on the units. Pretty one sided policy, won't be renting from this facility again.

When I put the reservation for the truck I also did one for the unit, giving them all the details to make it easier when I needed to use it at the end of my move, well that's when they said I had no reservation and had to do all the paperwork again leaving my friends waiting in the heat. Other than that it was a good experience

Otherwise, nice young man, there was a woman employee that felt she needed to interrupt him while we were speaking. No need for that, he was handling the interaction well. The other thing was he had to key in my card number because the pad was either slow or not working properly. I wasn't not a fan of that procedure, keying a card number is not a protected action for cards.

Lexus P | Déménagement en ligneOur unit was allowed to collect a massive amount of dust as it's an outside unit next to the newly created Uhaul building, we lost access to it for over a month, as they removed the asphalt without warning and didn't provide an safe route in. They were nice enough to comp us one month, but that doesn't cover the cost of time and effort to clean and move that unit. There's dust in the momentos which were sealed in boxes and totes because of the lack of care to at least provide a cover for the units that were exposed to the construction site. Mind that this was 3 to 4 months of construction.

It was literally cooler on the first floor. We used to be on the second level (smaller unit) so I waited until another unit on that level became available.

We first stopped by on 12/24/2023 to return our Auto Transport and everyone was very pleasant and helpful and the return process was very quick and easy. We returned on 12/27/2023 to move-in to our storage and return our one way rental truck and again, everyone was very pleasant and helpful and the process was very quick and easy. The only complaint I have is the restroom located by the office. Not the cleanest and could use a good cleaning daily and several 'touch ups' throughout the day. The restroom that was closest to my storage unit (located in the new building) was not accessible at all and that forced me to go back to the restroom located at the office. I understand it is a public restroom, but after on the road and moving and being a female (meaning you can't stand, you have to sit or squat), a clean restroom is much appreciated.

When questioned as to why additional contact info was needed for someone outside of my household., employee said " its our policy… the app would not take decent photos, although truck rental in TX worked fine. When asked what happens if someone doesnt have a smart phone… employee replied… " you cant rent from us". Basic help in identifying and locating the unit would have been helpful. I could not in good conscience recommend a storage unit from this location. Common courtesy is expected, cold snappy answers will get nothing but a reciprocated attitude.

The Cody manager was very disinterested in being helpful, issued me the wrong truck to move my property into storage…after I notified her 4 attempts, after 45 minutes of trying to check out the condition of the moving truck, she continued to be unhelpful and unresponsive…another employee simply said "the check out process in the app doesn't really matter, just take pictures and deal with it on return" Around closing time I was approached by another employee wanting to correct my rental contract because I was issued the wrong truck…I was really annoyed to hear that after I made multiple attempts and an hour of my time wasted in an effort to get that resolved at the start of my rental. I would like to speak to someone above the General Manager about my experience PLEASE!

Stephen F | Expérience généraleLet me start off by saying that I was very dissatisfied with the entire process of making reservations online only to have them disappear, reserving a truck only to be told to get it I would need to go out of state to pick it up and even though I go through the app process to pick up the truck I am told I owe 2x my reservation. By the time I showed up at this facility I was wrecked. ANTHONY checked me in to the unit and was responsible for checking the truck in as well. Give this guy whatever you need to keep him around! I was going to never use U-Haul again and I was going to let everyone know it. ANTHONY turned that all around. He was courteous, professional and didn't just make it right financially but treated me like I was a valued customer. THIS guy needs to train all your people and especially your 3rd party vendors and online people. You went from 0 stars to 5 because of one person doing his job well. Every single time I went there the alarm went off. Sound was way above safe limits. Even thought it was 24 hours if you went after office hours the only door that you could use to access the facility was a small man door. Large doors were locked with a notice to not open or alarm would sound. Not convenient for large sized items. Not enough parking so people would use dock spaces to park their cars. Many times I had to wait for for someone to move a car so I could back a truck up. Price amd service was really only good thing about it. Facility is under sonstruction so I hope problems will be addressed.

I called on the 9th before I drove the 3 hours to the store and they told me they had a trailer. When I got there we loaded our truck but they could not get the computer to release the trailer. Ao they reserved it for the next morning hoping then it would allow me to rent it. They assured me that i would not be charged for another month because it was not my fault they could not give me the trailer to move the little bit of my stuff that was left in the unit. So the next morning I drove again 3 hrs but this time the trailer was allowed to be rented which we did.first we loaded our truck then realized we really didn't need the big trailer so I ask if I can switch to a smaller one. Which we did. They saie they would credit my debit card account for the diference in the two trailers which was about 50 dollars. Plus the unexpected charge of another months rent almost 150 dollars. And when I ask when they were going to fix it. I was told yesterday morning. On 10-10-2021 someone would call me, here it it 10-11-2021 @ 4:30pm havent heard a word. I know to them 200 dollars might not be important but i am on a fixed income and that's a third of my income. Ignoring your clients is not a good business practice. Especially when I've been using there business for over 35 years

When we moved out, we moved into a Uhaul container for transport, and the window was supposed to be 12-6p. We verified this twice: on the phone making reservations and in person at the facility 2 days in advance. When we arrived, we would only have access for 3 hours because the only forklift driver was leaving at 3 (the office is open until 7). We went over by 10 minutes, so their solution was to "park a truck in front of it," which they did not do before we left, and probably never got done. Overall the facility is clean, with nice bathrooms and good AC. Our stuff smelled musty in the last month there (a first after 2 years of use), but I know that's not entirely their fault.

I had to go back to the office because there was a green tag on my storage and i had no way to take it off. I ask the gentleman "hello i have a lock on my storage is there anyway to take it off" he goes "is it a lock or a tag" and i go "i believe it is a tag, do you mind coming with me i don't have scissors" he goes "you can't just rip it off?" So then he follows me to my storage and goes "see you have a tag not a lock!" In a rude manner and i go " oh sorry i guess it's kind of the same thing to me" trying to lighten up the mood and he goes "no not at all! They're totally different!" In a snarky tone, then he proceeds to rip of the tag and go "see all you had to do was rip it off like i told you" this employee made me feel incompetent and bothered that i asked him to do his job. 100 % will not come back.

Debra V | Expérience généraleWe had a leak in our unit that ruined property, and because of the customer service being so poor we didn't even bother to try to get it rectified. The customer service is lacking. Upon visits just being in line to get help, I've seen a grumpy bearded manager with attitude towards customers and sarcasm and seems to hate his job. A smile or positive attitude goes a long way when having issues with a truck, or unit, or payment issues. We rented a truck went through the whole process to find out it did not even have gasoline before driving out, which means they probably didn't inspect anything else, tires or damage etc..We had to re-register a different truck and go through the app., etc, etc, after waiting in line again. When returning the truck we were not informed of having to return the truck to that exact location as there are many U-haul locations much closer to where we were moving. We had so many bad experiences with a lack of communication or just plain attitude in the years we rented. We spoke with a person about how our card we swipe to un-lock the alarm doesn't work and were told to come into the store to swipe which is very inconvenient at this location, instead of fixing the problem, so we could swipe closer to the unit we rented. One last issue we had was we rented a few years and had trouble making a payment one time, "One time," and when calling to a customer service rep we were told of a one time pass, or delay in payment for one month. We tried contacting the manager multiple times and left messages that were never returned, only to find out that the next CSR representative we spoke with said that was incorrect based on our payment method type. At that point we were also charged late fees for the improper communication of the first CSR respresentative that supposedly put notes on our account about what we were initially told. Overall, I would never use U-haul again or recommend any of there services. We now rent a unit with another company
Josh D | Expérience généraleI had an outside storage and this was my FIRST and LAST experience with having an outside storage. I was told it's just like having a garage. But little did I know that most of my stuff was ruined due to the debris. I don't think there was ever a spray for pest because my storage was infested with spiders and pests. When we asked staff and management about it, they said there is nothing that they can do. And they never answered weather there was a quarterly spray for pests. Overall, this specific location is really busy and I'm sure business takes more presidente than service itself.

It took several minutes to be helped and when we were helped it was not the nice customer service I would have expected on a first time experience. Check in was not explained well and my husband was hollered at (to come to the key pad) from the man at the dock when he did not check in on the key pad prior to opening our unit. I expressed my concerns in an email. After a few attempts to return a call back to management with phone number provided, I was rerouted several times to the Sales line. My husband attempted twice to speak directly to the manager and waited in line for over 30min each time so he had to walk out. Overall it turned out okay as well did not have to go back into the office and have any future encounters with staff after the initial check in process (until out move out yesterday). The man who tended to my husband yesterday was a new man and he was professional and pleasant. As for the appearance of the storage facility it was nice overall. When we moved in we had a complimentary discus lock on the floor of our unit which was a pleasant surprise. It was nice but we did have a black widow spider we found on our first day we moved in that my husband killed. He also took bug spray to kill any other bugs in the unit that would possibly get into our belongings.This was our first storage experience and were unaware of the dusty dirt that got on all of our belongings but I'm sure that's to be expected as well as we are in the desert. This storage facility was convenient and only 10 minutes from our new home. We like the convenience of the drive up unit, and that it was an open storage (not gated) and convenient access hours 5am to 10pm.

Although I did witness on several occasions a female employee out moving trailers around with the dolly type equipment while doing it watching videos on her phone the entire time. Maybe time to out away your personal cell phone and be more aware of what you are doing and the trucks/vehicles pulling in and out of there. The reason I moved out because after having my stuff there for a year this last month was a bit rough after my dad passed away while I was taking care of him and could not even get help with waiving a late fee. Left a bad taste and moved my stuff.
