EDWARD DThe brakes seemed a little funny, I had to push down quite far and when it down shifted it seemed to get stuck.
JILL DI was 1 hours late retuning the vehicle and was charged another day. Technically correct but i won't be back.
MARK PThe only concern was that there was no wheel on which to place the trailer should I have chosen to remove it. It was so insanely heavy that I did not remove it nor did I need to do it so it was okay. It never should have left the lot without a rest/wheel. Otherwise, the move went great.

JOHN HPickup truck had heavy cigarette odor, had to drive with both windows open due to the stench. I am surprised that U-Haul allows people to smoke in their equipment. Windshield was very dirty inside and out. Truck exterior was also very dirty.
ROGER SWe needed a utility trailer for about 2 hours and they were very friendly and understanding of our situation and got us out in a very timely manner, and when we returned it, they checked out as we arrived! Super nice! Thanks Dawn, and the rest of you !!
JACK SThe van smelled like stale beer & cigarettes upon pickup, although was visually clean enough. Both pick up and drop off was very quick and easy, which I greatly appreciate since the rental was a last work minute decision, and I had limited time to spare. Thanks for your assistance!

Timothy Nif it were not for Alison I would not have completed my 600 sale/install. I was back 3x after 1hr on phone initially with Adam getting estimates after which he handed me over to Alison and she sent me what I was asking for in 10 minutes. I then came down 1/2 hour early on the appointment date to the 2:00- I was first in line and then the staff went off and 20 minutes later told me the mechanic had started a repair at 1:30 which was going to take 4 hours. I did establish my parts were in. While there was another woman came in at 2 according to her printed instructions also for a second attempt to get service and was turned away yet again. She was from Farmington, 1 hour away, on the third date when I came in 1:30 for 2:00, was armed with conversations from Alison that If there was ANY trouble to call her. It wasn't until 2:30 that I was told a part wasn't in by the gal (I am sorry) who has a speech problem. I said "No I have been here since 1:30. the parts are in-" She went looking ,couldn't find them. I showed her my printout and the numbers- she said "He isn't reading it right" started to go back and I followed her right out into the bay. I went in and found the box sitting in a row next to the mechanic. He had already gotten the next car in line into the bay and lifted. I told him "OUT- that car goes out. I have been sitting here an hour and you couldn't even find your own parts." I had called Alison and told her step by step that I wanted to talk to the President of company. She said she would tell him and she had my number. I have not heard a thing. Meanwhile the guy in the white car had sat next to me and we got friendly- same story...First appointment at 2 on Thursday before Labor Day week end . He arrived and was told they had let the mechanic go home. He was very angry and Adam could not even find his appointment on line, and then said 'Here it is at 9:00-' The customer said he didn't know what was wrong with Adam but he NEVER had an appointment for 9...They made a new appointment which was for following Tues at :00 (when I was there.) His printout clearly said 2- period... nothing about out by 7 My concern is that customers are going to share that these people are ok people, but there are no rules and no management consistency which sets up service errors and customer loss. Made me think the purpose of U Haul is to Launder money for some organization. very very bad management. My feelings are- that I was royally insulted- Sue Higgins

DAVID EI have used this location a few times and each time the folks were great. This time was Labor Day weekend and they were crushed.. BUT each staff was still rolling with the flow and accommodating with politeness.
LAWRENCE HThe first 25miles should be free, especially since the customer has the refill the ta k at $5/gallon and pays1,39per mile travelled. Padding that is in the truck and the dolled in the truck shouldn't be an additional charge. That should be part of the rental fee. If accustomed needs more padding then they pay for it. The company sells packaging as well. Moving costs should be reasonable and not nickelodeon and dined. More importantly someone should do a walk around with the customer of the vehicle before it leaves the lot; other rental companies do.

JAMES PWhen I showed up to return my trailer there was only one employee on the premises and it was the guy who installs hitches - there was no one manning the counter. I contacted Corporate Headquarters and after a 20-minute hold time was finally able to talk to someone who informed me that they were unsure what to do. Eventually they were able to contact the owner of the location who finally arrived on scene, by that time the customers were piling up and the guy who was installing the hitches finally came to the counter and started working rentals/returns. Having to wait over an hour because there was no one on site is truly unsatisfactory. As a side note - the trailer I rented worked flawlessly.
ROBERT RThere was one person working there and he was suppose to to all the checking in and out of trucks and trailers AND install hitches! While I was waiting to have the hitch installed the business filled up with customers trying to pick up trucks and drop trucks off with NO ONE to assist. This was absolutely ridiculous. The person who did install the hitch did a good job. There just wasn't enough people to make it efficient. Also the building was dirty, poorly organized and just unacceptable.

TIMOTHY EMy only suggestion would be to make sure there is more than one person working at this location. The employee was very helpful and did a great job despite having no one else there.
REBECCA NStaff gave incorrect information, which cost me much more and cancellation for my flight home and then after the bill was settled, And a receipt was given to me, they billed my credit card for an additional $140.
CINDY FThe employee who installed my hitch was great. The problem was he was the only person working. My appointment was scheduled for 9 am. He did not even start his work day until 2 pm, and he was constantly interrupted by other customers returning or renting equipment. My appointment should have been concluded by noontime but wasn't until 6:45 pm. I drove two hours to get there, so this was crazy.
John BThe staff was very friendly, and I appreciated their assistance. However, I would have found it helpful if there had been more communication during the return process. The staff member assisting me mistakenly thought I was waiting for a ride inside, when in fact, I had just unloaded my car from the trailer I towed with the U-Haul from North Carolina. I was under the impression that I needed to stay for the completion of the transaction. While this was a minor inconvenience, it's worth mentioning, as after a long drive, I was eager to finish up and relax.
SUSAN SVery slow install. Should not schedule so many installs if they can't perform in time frame quoted. Technician forgot to install mounting bolt for rear tail light and tail light fell off on the highway.
Jeffrey HThe trailer had a tire on front passenger side that was bald around the outside and likely should have been replaced. The brakes grabbed after stopping and felt like the weren't releasing for several seconds after moving. It also may have been leaking brake fluid as something sprayed droplets on the gate and tonneau cover of my truck. I mentioned these things to the clerk when I returned the trailer but she placed a sticker on it and returned it to the line to be rented again.
Dianne PIt took 30 minutes beyond my reserved time to finally get a van when I was the only person waiting. Then, the van I was given was blocked in by other U-Haul vehicles. U-Haul is a major corporation with the resources to do better, so it needs to do so.
JORDAN SWhen I dropped it off yesterday early it was only one woman there trying to take care of four other people at the same time nobody else there to help so I had to unhook it myself and put it away, too many people standing around waiting for one person what she seemed to be struggling.
PAUL GUhaul is difficult to get by phone when needed.in the 4 years i had my storage unit,my price went up about 4 times. This is ridiculous. If I could've found a closer and more budget friendly storage unit earlier I would have transferred long ago.otherwise everything else was great

I explained I had made an appointment 10 days prior and had a confirmation number. I hen was told person who was scheduled to work would be a couple of hours late. I informed staff that I had a confirmed scheduled appointment, traveled 40 min to get to store, that I wasn't going to come back at a later time and/or date. Informed staff that I was going to sit in chair until work was completed. After 30 min I was informed worker would arrive in 2 hours. A worker from a different store did show up and apologized for the inconvenience due to a call-out. The tow hitch was placed and I was on my way. Entire time in the store was 2,5 hrs. I thanked staff for getting the job completed and I appreciated their work.

RICHARD MCommunication is important so the customer can plan accordingly. The regular staff were not good at that. I lacked confidence in the establishment overall and worried all the way to the facility that the job wouldn't get done....however after MANY phone calls, dropped calls, no call backs and non answered calls I arrived at the facility. Becky had come in to fill in and was pleasant and communicated well, she double checked to make sure everything was in order and had Shawn do the job. She told me it would be about an hour and a half and it was done in an hour. The location needs some quality staff

SCOTT PI had an appointment for trailer hitch installation today. Took time off from work and also received a confirmation email last week from Uhaul letting me know how to prepare for this appointment. I get there and nobody knows why they cannot install it and the staff is very unprofessional! They indicate that they do not know when I can come back to have it installed. Showed them my receipt that it was set up for today at 2:30 pm and also prepaid. They told me to call the President of Uhaul, they don't know what to do about it. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable. They should have at least called me this morning to let me know. I drove 50 miles each way and wasted most of a day for nothing.

MacKenzie GThe service was very slow because only one person was working. It took about 15 minutes to get the rental truck from the time I arrived. It took another 15 minutes to drop off the rental vehicle when I was done with it.
Nick DThe truck didn't shift well. I felt like the transmission was going to blow at any moment. I couldn't go over 50 mph and ended up having to avoid the highway which cost me with almost double mileage. The woman who checked me out told me I had to have it back in 24 hours but when I dropped it off the gentleman said I was late and needed it back 30 minutes prior. Thankfully he didn't charge me an extra day! He then took the truck out of service to be maintained but just said sorry about the crappy truck and the extra mileage charges ughh not pleased at all!

Motte HOnline it said the location was open until 7pm. When I got there, another customer told me they were closed. I attempted to complete the drop off on the app, however halfway through the app crashed. When I reloaded it, there was no longer an option for drop off. I put the keys and contract in the drop off box and am hoping everything turned out alright.
JAMES VUnderstaffed. I waited a long time to speak to the one employee who was there because she had to take orders, hook up trailers, and probably clean the bathroom too for all I know.
STEFANY BI wooden go too the Augusta U-Haul on Western Avenue. There worker was real rude in swearing at us in front of other customers and they quote you one price and then charge you another. I wouldn't send a dead cat to this location.
DALE SOnly one employee when I returned and customers complaining that they had been almost two hours waiting. I dropped off trailer and let her know I was not waiting. She was very professional.

Britt MBad customer service, horrible attitude. When asked to speak to the manager...I was speaking to the manager. Now I see why the rest of that store it is the way it is. First thing in the morning she told me how everything in the store was messed up because she wasn't there, just back from vacation. Nothing was where she wanted it. Everything was because of something someone else did. Even when just trying to talk like a decent human being, friendly conversation was met with poor attitude. After 23 in the military I know a few things about leadership and this "manager" would not be in that position with that attitude. I know there are higher level managers too, guess I'm just an idiot who believed there is nobody above her lol.

I was informed on May 28, 2024, it was an error and the unit next to me moved out. Informed they will fix the issue. Sent emails that I'm vacating and surveys. But don't see no emails they've fixed the mistake they've made! Just an FYI- if I'm moving out I'm going in person to notify them! Really disappointed that this issue was corrected as of May 29, 2024. This issue needs to be fixed, for what I'm paying for an over priced unit with no lighting to see inside the unit to store items properly.

They did not give me a time/day that they could do it only they'd call me when they can. I didn't hear for 10 days, so i called. They told me again, they didn't have a time but to call again in a few days, so i did. I got someone else who was incredibly irritated that i was calling to have someone cut the lock, and repeatedly told me that wasnt something they did. I tried to explain someone else had already told me that they'd do it. She eventually agreed to have someone cut it. Again i waited for 10 days, heard nothing and then whenever i called no one answered. I finally got ahold of the same individual who told me it couldn't be done and after almost a month of a run around she told me its just not going to happen. I eventually paid for someone to cut the lock however there are no outlets in the storage facilities so he essentially had to smash the lock off. I would give the communication of this facility 0 stars if i could. Won't be doing buisness here if I can avoid it.

I was offered a larger unit at the *standard* price. Since U-Haul did not honor my reservation, you should have at least honored the price on my reservation. Otherwise, this is just a game U-Haul is playing because finding an alternate storage provider in the area with the desired size and price is impossible to do on the day of move-in. I do not understand the purpose for U-Hail to offer unit reservation if they are meaningless… And giving me a free lock is ok, but I didn't ask for one, nor did I need one. I had the lock that I purchased from UHaul in May (plus the one I had purchased in May 2022). Further, the unit I was given had a rat poison container inside. Why would I want to entire rats to come in to my unit?

I called and spoke with Aiden who told me it was OK for ABF trailer to be delivered to the site and left overnight while I loaded it. Then Brianna refused to allow the ABF trailer to stay -this exacerbated the stress in my move. I'm also concerned because I was told that with each U-Haul truck rental, I would receive one month of free storage. Seems silly to me that the rule is Storage in one facility is not allowed. but what if that is what your customer needs?

Then I got charged double price of 99,95 when I only asked for 1 month. I called and they said they didn't see 2 charges but the money has already been taken out of my account. I have two critiques that made this a 4 star experience rather than 5 star. 1) I had a upper level locker which required use of the portable staircase. The opening at the top of the staircase was too narrow to easily passing U-Haul medium and large boxes into the locker. Therefore, we had to lift the boxes over the rail. I would have expected the staircase to be designed to the dimensions of the U-Haul boxes. 2) The units are billed by the month, and the rate is not prorated if I move out mid-month. I went one week past my bill date, but paid for the whole month. I'm sure they rented out the unit after I moved out and effectively collected double payment for the last 3 weeks of the month. I leaves a bad taste.

He tried to add a $18 fee for the gas tank amount. The truck as returned just under full as what it was when I rented it. He tried to document 1/2 full tank. This guy was not pleasant in any way, was very arrogant! The other employee was very professional and verified that the gas tank was as I said. I'm sorry for not catching his name or the other guys name. One should be terminated and the other should get a raise. My complaint is of the rental truck and not the storage rental.

The insurance we purchased is refusing to pay replacement value for damaged items, depreciating even new items and delaying payment. The front office folks were decent and assisted with reporting that the unit did actually leak, but the insurance company would not accept their word and required photos from a unit with no lights and a roof leak.

He was trying hard to do a good job though. .I feel like someone may have alerted my stalker that I was there as he pulled in while I was renting. Which is not a coincidence. I am in hopes that my stuff won't be stolen from the unit before I can get it out. This is a very small community and everyone seems to know the person I have a pfa on. I stopped by today to ask some questions and change the lock. I also called about getting extra insurance on my things and no one could answer my question? Please let me know if I can purchase additional insurance. The truck I rented was a clunker and I had concerns about it breaking down. It was an old moving van. Im sure you have newer models. I also tried to change the lock into something that could not be picked as I am concerned the lock I was provided with can be picked and my things stolen. I hope you can understand my predicament and watch out for my unit.

Why would a company provide a customer with such reference numbers if you have no way to research with them, gives your customers and future customers a false sense of trust in company that refuses to stand by their word and then refuses to help a customer when they are being told they are rude for inquiring. I'm allowed to be frustrated that my confirmed reservation was cancelled and charges from UHaul on my debit card could not be located and refused to give the merchandise purchased without the researched receipt. Bad customer service for such a high priced storage unit. Let's hope the rest of my interactions through out this process improve.

We thought sweet okay for that price that's great.... come to find out it was actually 10 times smaller than that and we needed to utilize 2 units instead of just one!( thank fully staff on was able to help work out a deal for this false information and took the first month of of the second one so we had a 2 for 1 month deal, but all we had was a couch a bed Frame( in peices), a box spring, and a few loose items, these took up 90 % of both units " half the size of a two car garage!" Not!, and the late fees are ridiculous one day late and you charge $20 for a "delinquent Fee" I appreciate the storage availability.. but again the prices, lies, and late fees are what took had us move out!

I repeatedly changed my address and left a credit card but never was charged as expected. The store locked my storage unit and would not reply to my messages until corporate got involved. I know times are hard but this was ridiculous. So happy to be done with this mess.

Large pole in middle of storage unit. After-hours contact didn't answer when we called, or return my call. Overall a very disappointing experience and I don't plan to return.

Melissa L | Expérience généraleThe unit I reserved was an 8x10. Reservation on the books for two months. Upon arrival the unit is about a 6x8 if that and no other units available. Not to mention the astronomical price. I went elsewhere and got a 10x25 for the same price. Extremely unhappy.

MARK D | Expérience généraleI was quoted $29 for a 4x4 storage locker. When I got there it is $59/month and I have to climb rickets stairs. Its a complete hazard and completely unsafe. I will be moving out asap! Horrible

First, she took my initial phone call, answered all my questions and made me feel comforted in having to handle a last-minute, unplanned move of my college student due to coronavirus. Then when I arrived from NJ the next day, her smiling face met me and she again calmly explained everything and got me set up. This is my first time renting storage; she was patient, helpful and didn't rush me. Then I made three trips to the facility in the next 24 hours. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the access to carts, the security, etc. I can't say enough about how Heather went above and beyond and how all the little things she did added up to reducing my stress in a time when I greatly appreciated it. Also, thanks for the one-month free for displaced college students. I thought that was a very classy and empathetic move by UHaul. You earned my business and Heather is the reason you'll keep my business.
