STEVEN FI have used this U-Haul location on more than one occasion. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend this U-Haul location!

RICHARD CThere is absolutely little to no parking for customers that are renting a uhaul to park. This is not only inconvenient but it is also dangerous to get done moving at night and be forced to walk a couple blocks to get your vehicle or have to pay for a ride not to even mention in the Florida heat. This also should be disclosed upon reservation of the vehicles as this can significantly derail moving timelines especially when you are paying for moving assistance. There is also major difficulty in returning the uhaul at night as everyone is returning the vehicles and they block the entrance and exit. I wanted to leave the uhaul at the uhaul place for a short time and so parked the uhaul in the parking spaces by the interior storage units and came back and was completely blocked in forcing me to not be able to put gas in the truck so I had to pay the $4,5 per gallon which is ridiculous. All you should need to do is return the key in the drop box but if you don't do the app it is a $20 charge for them to go out and check the returning mileage. Other locations I have rented uhauls from are much more user friendly and have better customer service and accommodations for customers.

DOUGLAS BThe folks at the Florida location were very helpful w/ supplies, etc. The truck was fine, until it wasn't, which was a nightmare. We drove from FL to MI and after our first stop in Detroit, MI had only 2 more hours to go, but the truck broke down shortly after getting on the expressway. I was grateful for being towed to our destination, since I had movers lined up to unload the next morning, but we didn't get to our destination until 11:30 pm after a 3 + hour delay in navigating the truck failure and options to addressing. I paid $1 900 for a truck that didn't get me to my destination as expected and I feel a bit negative towards U-Haul.

TIMOTHY KThe vehicle was terrible. 1. Door jambs were faulty and leaked when driving in heavy rain. 2. Cab was so noisy it was hard to hear music on the radio. 3. No cruise control 4. Basically, no shock absorbers. Had to agressivelg control fhe vehicle at every bump 5. Governed to 75 MPH I've driven ambulances and fire trucks (larger vehicles) for 30 years. This was possibly the worst driving vehicle I've ever driven.

TAYLOR RIt was a bit far for us, we had requested a location closer to i95. No one called before 5 pm the night before, we called the location we expected to pick up. We finally called and they gave us the other address for pick up.
KENNETH ATruck door barely closed, blankets were dirty, didn't have the jacks I reserved, pushed back my reservation almost 2 hours and said there was more gas in the truck than there really was, I drove 20 miles and put in 3 gallons of gas and they still charged me for an extra 3 gallons. Horrible experience and will never use this location again.
KEVIN AI did need to look over the trailer and initially one of the wheels was worn well beyond its intended length. I asked that it be changed prior to taking it off the lot.

THEODORE NAlthough the location and equipment were fine I had a bad overall experience. Two reasons. First the gas gage reading was off by nearly 1/8 of a tank so I probably spent $12 bringing it back to the indicated mark that was not gas I used. Second the allotted milage only got me from pick up to drop off. So you charged me extra for the milage between my those points and my actual loading point and destination. I believe these are both deceptive trade practices.

TIMOTHY KHad nothing but issues trying to get the reservation at the correct location they kept emailing me saying it changed from the one 1 mile from my house to the one 45 minutes away from my house. Then when picking it up the app kept looping and making me put in contact info for people that would be my references, then ultimately demanding I put in my work phone number, soni gave up on the app then went into the store to do the pick up, that went fairly smoothly but they forgot the dolly, and the truck only had 1/8th of a tank so I had to spend another $100 to fill it up cause I didn't know how how much I would need. This is also after I scheduled pick up at 12:30 but when they emailed that morning saying it was at the further location they changed the time to 2:30pm so this screwed my plans and made me have to load the truck that night and drive it to the new house and unload in the morning. The original booking said I had until 5pm to return the truck the next day. But as I'm driving to the new house at 9am U-Haul calls me and asks where the truck is? I told them I was driving it and it was full and I planned on returning it at around 4pm, but no he said they already have it rented out to someone else that day and I had to have it back before 2:30, so instead of being able to make two trips I could only do one. When I returned the truck it was still just a hair under full and I kept track of the milage it was 16 total miles but they charged me an extra $6 for overages? Not to mention when I returned it they called me up and said I was going to be charged if I didn't return the dolly, I never got the dolly and had already spent an hour on support the night before being very upset about that as it made moving a lot harder. They ultimately found a note that the dolly was missing but they still have not refunded the money for it. Never using U-Haul again
shawn lMy wife and I just drove from Bradenton FL to Ware MA. 1350 miles with a U-Haul truck and car trailer. We didn't have one issue with their equipment, truck was clean, performed well, were able to maintain 9,5 MPG. Great people to work with.
MARTIN BOne Trailer tire was unevenly and excessively worn and tire pressure was extremely low. Obviously was not checked by staff before hooking up.

DARRICK PI ask for a trailer with barn doors and they had plenty in the yard they gave me one with a roll down door and I had ask a week before seem I I was bothering them the trailer I got the lights stop working 2 hours into the ride got out to check the connections there were fine drove back with no lights.
JOSEPH MThe truck was ready to go when I arrived for pickup. Checking just took a couple of minutes. The return process at this location is excellent. You pull in to a specific location which is well marked and some one checks you in almost immediately.

The pickup location in Lexington SC, was an absolute nightmare. None of the extra equipment I reserved was made available at the pickup location and I was directed to another location to pickup the equipment, which still wasn't available. The truck itself also had problems. The air conditioning did not work well at all, and hardly worked at all the whole trip down. This caused significant problems with my dog, and my pet fish. I lost a significant amount of fish because the cab was too hot. Overall I am very satisfied with the drop off location, and incredibly dissatisfied with the pickup location.

With that said, I think the unit had just come open that day so it would be understandable that staff may not have been able to sweep it out. On a different note, at times there seemed to be people lingering around that had no interest or very little interest in unloading a truck or pulling items out of storage. The units security measures are great, but may need a live person stopping by the facility more on Saturdays.

The guys would get on us about where we parked but there was insufficient space to load with the need to use one lane for the forklift and so many pids in the way to we couldn't double up one car in front if if other in the 2 remaining parking spots. They were rude about too even though we had one person available to move the cars around if necessary. They need to move pods earlier or later or change the access hours if they need to work in that area and not want to have customers around.

Timothy R | Expérience généraleMontreese was wonderful and also another worker that was helping her the day I was last there. I had a piano that had been in my family for over 55 year stored there. It had been in storage for almost a year and I had to make a hard choice to have a junk removal company to take it away. I tried to sell it and then give it away but no one wanted it. I have no place to put it and I am not sure when I will be able to buy my house. I was absolutely heart broken!!!!!!! Montreese told me to call off the junk company because she could find someone that needed her and she would go to a good home. Long story short...SHE DID!!!!!! I burst into tears and gave Montreese a big hug!!! I told her I played that piano since I was a little girl with my mom and aunt Korine!!!! Both have passed on. So sending the piano to a junk yard crushed me!! But thanks to Montreese...that was not the case. I got a call on my way home that day from Montreese's friend that got the piano...She thanked me for it and said "Now I can teach my little girl to play". Again I burst into tears!!!! I spoke with Montreese and she said that "they can't get that little girl off the piano!!" So thank you for this experience!!! I know my piano that is so precious to me has a great home for the rest of her years!!!!!

We chose the option to self checkin and reserved our unit but this option was not available when we arrived. It took the lady over an hour to get us checked in which made us 30 minutes late dropping off our moving truck to a location 10 minutes away. I had already put all of our info in including my credit card info but the lady could not find our information. THE INSULATION!!!! We just moved out yesterday and the amount of insulation and fiberglass all over our belongings was unbearable to the point that we actually have itchy rashes from it! We have to clean every single item that was in that unit, and on top of that had rodent damage to boxes and bags that had NO food in them. Uhual probably won't refund us anything for this damage and they also didn't prorate us for this month so we paid $140 for 5 days of the month to remove damaged and completely dirty belongings. Definitely would NOT recommend to anyone.

After a month they decide to lock us out of our unit cause we used 2 locks that are NOT approved locks (They appove only a round lock which they sell) they NEVER said anything about needing a specific lock at time of rental..NO ONE SAID ANYTHING. During the short time there both our $3000 each plush mattresses and box springs along with multiple other items were completely ruined and destroyed by rodent droppings, urine and chewing. When we brought it to the attention of the staff they told us that they knew they had a real bad rodent problem but it had been taken care of by a professional company they acquired and there were other customers with the same damage as ours and we would also have no problem being reimbursed for our damaged property as well and told us to just call a number they gave us (probably just to get us out the door) and our damaged property would be taken care of and of course you guessed it their answer was NOPE it is our problem. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY..NEVER AGAIN...Beware

Alot of my items were damaged when they had their RAT PARTY. You can't put a price on them because they meant more because I saved to buy or I was given these items and didn't know about situation until I went over to get my Christmas stuff. Rented Oct 2022 moved Jan 31. Had to throw out to much. Your Staff, amazing, busy at times. Unhappy customer.

From my mattresses, my clothes, my wooden headboard even cords to lamps and video game consoles. We were homeless and from the beginning the staff (Ms. Heather, Ms. Lauren & Nick) were always wonderful, I don't blame the staff for the rats ruining my things, im just really disappointed because this was an expensive controlled climate facility. I would NEVER had expected this type of damage.

I believe she was new, but we were there right at 7am (luckily since we couldn't register via phone) and we needed to have our truck returned down the road at 9am. We are moving from a hurricane zone which has been extremely stressful and they did not make our experience very pleasant. I had made a reservation the night before and they couldn't find it even though I had a confirmation number. The maintenance man was nice at first but was yelling at us from across the parking lot saying "you better hustle, that truck is due!!!!!!" Meanwhile we had been throwing our stuff out of the truck outside so we could return our truck in time. The lady who checked us in also gave us the wrong unit number which was a quick fix. Overall pretty stressful checkin process but we are happy to finally be moved in.

They are infested with rats and you are paying for climate control but all of my furniture was ruined with mold and mildew. I had to throw away all of my big furniture. They did not send out any notification to let people know they were having climate issues nor pest issues so we could take the steps to protect our valuables and are still letting people move in. Do not use them!!

When I went to the office I was told they have been trying to get AC fixed for a while and has a rodent issue for months. I was not notified if this and when opening my unit all my stuff was ruined with mold and dead rodent smell. I am devastated I have to throw my and my kids belongings out due to the negligence of this facility.

mark f | Premières impressionsAfter i called the 800 number and was given a great price on a storage unit that should have been adequate, i went to the location only to find out that they did not in fact have a unit for me at said location or any other location in my area, i was told that the reservation was free and come to find out that it most definitely was not free. My bank account was charged for unit i can not even use and now i have to wait 3-5 business days to receive my refund for their mistake. Sure they can take your money on the spot for no service rendered but they want to make you wait to give you back the money they said they wouldn't take until i was actually moved in... Thanks a lot for nothing.

We wore mask for fear of disease!!! Talked with other customers and they said the same thing. Manager was short with us, and unconcerned. Said we were the only complaint. NOT TRUE. The other couple said she said the same thing to them. Only asked us if we had insurance for our damaged property. We're contacting the health department. I thought insurance was for flood, or natural disaster.....guess I should have read the fine details. Lost four chairs, antique family heirloom, and some items in boxes. The POOP that was swept out into the hallway was still there when we came back two days later, just to continue to get OUT!!! Only used storage this time in my life during the move to FL, and pray I never use it again!! OH, this card system in and out seems convenient, but alarm goes off way too often.....I wonder how much damage has been caused to our hearing. When you go to swipe "out" it's like the system has you already out and you're swiping in again......Like you "timed" out or something. Worthless!!!!
William S | Expérience généraleSpent 2 hrs picking up trailer, over 1 hour returning trailer. I was told i would get a free months rental on a storage unit for renting the trailer, so i said ok. I was going to Rent a unit closer to home but i figured since the first month was free i would use that unit. When I arrived with a my trailer loaded i went into the office where i was told they probably didnt have a unit for me because they had reserved the only unit available to 5 people. I tried to explain that you can't RESERVE 1 unit to five people when the woman became rude. They finally gave me a unit they had reserved to somone for the 15 th. Then i was charged over $100 for a unit i was told was going to be free. When I questioned the lady she became even more rude and said, do you want it or not. I had no choice but to take the unit becau i had no place to unload their trailer which I had to return. What a circus. I will buy a trailer before I ever use u-haul again!!!!

From them basically stealing my property, to threats of selling it TWICE, to finally having corporate doing the right thing by researching MY account and seeing that I in fact WAS RIGHT and rectifying the situation. U-Haul needs to stick with what they know, rental trucks!

We rented a storage unit here too. It was quick & easy to do, and the facility was very clean, inside & out. In my experience, this location was like a revolving door. Get trucks & trailers in, get them out. I was impressed with the staff for how busy they all were, that they took time to help anyone that drove onto the lot.

There are only 4 access slots,1 is handicap, to get to the storage building. And sometimes the rental trailers are blocking or partially blocking access to those slots. The storage building itself is clean and easy to get around in.

You need to do le your staff during peak work hours ti a complete. I had a moving company to move in my things. Delayed 1 hr due to lack of staffing, errors in unit being available, time to get access.and doymove. The gentleman who helped me was as helpful as he could be and very polite and the lack of staffing g was not his problem.too many behicles.coming in, inspections needed needed outside and they were only 2 at the front desk as well? Not good enough. Fantastic storage facility,setup and everything.it is above average on that.the staging issue is management issue. .

Closing out my account was apparently a two day and multiple phone call process and I have yet to receive my refund on money spent. The day I was closing out apparently only one person was able to take care of me despite there being multiple employees working the counter. The reason we wanted inside climate controlled storage was to avoid damage like this our property. I will never use uhaul again and will never recommend uhaul to anyone i know and like.

They quickly set me up with a different unit and everything was fine. The off-loading area was covered and convenient to the elevator, so I was able to unload my 16' truck within a couple of hours.

Both times I have gone to access stuff into storage, I have had to go to the rental office wait in line and ask that the storage be opened as the access codes for the doors do not work. The office staff is less than happy about having to walk over to the storage to open it, the last time taking more than 30 minutes to come and open it. The unit has a large rat trap sitting in it, not what I would expect a unit ready to rent should have.
