Service was slow. I waited in line for fifteen minutes and then it took twenty more minutes for me to get my key. The man helping me was clearly not trained on the computer, and the woman who was letting him know what to do was visibly and audibly rude to him the whole time. The wait time was horrendous because he didn't know what he was doing, and then it was unpleasant because she was being a bully. Equipment was in good condition, and the man was very kind while getting me my rental equipment when the computer wasn't involved. That woman needs an attitude check and the store needs to train their staff.

Custom service at the front desk was horrible. The lady working the front desk was on lunch at 9:30 am and made you feel like you were impeding on her break when there was no one else to assist you. Just was rude and horrible Customer service it made me literally want to walk out and go to another store. Will not rent from there ever again I will drive and pay at a different location.

The supervisor a black female told me there’s no dollies for me to get but when I made the reservation I reserved 2 Dollie’s, very poor customer service, smart mouth, the supervisor wanted me to purchase a dollie so unprofessional will never go to this location ever again

The girls behind the counter were kind of rude and had poor attitudes. They were talking about other customers infront of me. The guy who helped me hook the trailer up was very nice, polite and helpful. His name was Luis I believe. He's doing a great job and I wanted to make sure someone knows that.

The computer system was down and only had one person working. Took longer than expected and was double charged. I was charged after my son in law was charged for the same trailer. Really need to fix your computer problems and get the gentleman there help. I will say that the gentleman Lee that took care of us was very nice and did all he could to get us on our way.

Overcharged me for gas situation. The tank was on a quarter of a tank when I arrived. They had me turn the truck back on to train a new person leaving it running the whole time checking all the lights, then told me I was ok to leave. As I was walking to the restaurant next door, I looked back and the truck was still running. Horrible way to treat a long standing customer. I have used and referred other people to use your service for several years. Never again. I hated leaving this type of message, but it is what it is....

The front desk woman stated that there would be someone to help unhook the trailer at 7:00pm upon returning the trailer, there was no one. When when picking up the trailer, there was no one outside to direct which trailer to hook up, and I had to go inside and ask the IT guy for help. Also, the add for the 6'×12' trailer with gate said it could fit a 60" object, but this is incorrect as the gate was only 58". So I had to change the reservation last minute, in all, I was there for an hour trying to get this figured out. Very unsatisfied as I was rushing to get the trailer back, because our departure was late. As well as, returning with no one to assist, and then the app says I owe an additional charge.

Issues where you had over 5 people picking up vehicles on Sunday morning at 9:00AM and there was only 1 person checking everyone in, which made for an unnecessary wait. Also the app is stupid and someone should just walk around the vehicle with you to check for defects like it always has been. This app is definitely not user friendly when returning a vehicle after hours and you are trying to just get home. Took me over a damn hour to get the vehicle checked in before I could leave. It was so frustrating that I almost said the hell with it all and left the damn vehicle and left. I do not look forward to renting from U-Haul again especially considering that I will potentially being needing to get a large truck in the next coming month. Very disappointing customer service. 

I was very disappointed with the speed and quality of customer service. I waited a long time to get the truck I rented. About 25min total. The 26' truck only had a quarter tank of gas and a broken drivers mirror (it spun around on the post). I had to maintain a schedule because of the help I needed from friends and family to move, so because I was late getting out of the store I didn't have time to completely check the truck. Staff did not pull it out for me. It was parked extremely close to the truck next to it also and just overall had a bad experience at this location. I rented a different truck at the north Royalton OH location on the Friday before and had a much better experience. I don't think I'll rent from U-haul again. It was expensive, annoying, and dangerous.

Processing was quick and easy. I rented from the same place a month ago and was a little put off that the vehicle we we given was on empty and had put put gas in it right from the start. This time the van that we were assigned was 95 % full. Made it a lot easier to top it off when returned. Would highly recommend.

Lee literally the a utility dolly when he was told it was the wrong one and I needed the appliance dolly. The woman inside worth a sling on was rude and unhelpful. The gentleman who helped me return the truck was very nice, unfortunately he was the only pleasant person there. I won't be a repeat customer

Maybe more detail during check-out of the vehicle. I did not know the vehicle begins driving in "trailer/tow" mode using lots of gas before anything is loaded in it. Also, I had trouble matching the vehicle number to where it was parked... the staff let me wander around lost for 10 minutes before I found the truck.

I have never had a bad experience at this Uhaul location. All the employees are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this location.

Upon checking out the vehicle, the U-Haul app was not working properly when trying to download and attach photo's of previous damage. After trying for about 30 minutes, the girl working the front desk agreed that I could leave after showing her the photo's on my phone since she would still be there when I returned in a few hours later. Upon returning the vehicle , Stephany was very helpful and was aware of the download issue earlier that morning.

Agents were good, he truck I rented was like a death trap, tires out of round, steering wheel rocking back and forth, needed both hands, Check engine light on, lots of vibrations, noise, and When I took the truck back looks like I was charged for fuel, when in fACT i PUT MORE IN IT THAT WHEN i GOT IT.

Honestly, I was very very nervous. This was our first time towing a trailer. Our trailer was very well maintained with new tires (I was nervous about the tire possibly blowing out) so the new tires were awesome. Now i know every trailer isn't in as good as shape as ours but we were very very happy. The daily rate is the best i could find. But the insurance could use a little more coverage for the pricing offered. I will defiantly use again if needed.

I rented a 10 inch box truck and my cargo ended up getting soaked from water leaking in from the seal from the roof. I only rented it on 03-08-2025 from 11 am to 3 pm. I made a claim. No response back yet.

The truck preformed excellent on the trip. Being given a truck with a tank that was not full, huge issue! Trying to match that at the end when you turn it in is next to impossible so you guys got more money out of me because I couldn't get it exact. I personally think that is on purpose. Either the client misses under the mark and you charge more or the client really errs and gives you more gas costing the client more. The windows on the vehicle were filthy INSIDE and out causing me to clean them so there was a clear field of vision to operate the vehicle. Also, not sure that 7 mpg is really a green vehicle.

I was a little put off when the van needed gas right from the get go. The low fuel light was on upon starting the van, and showed 16 miles till empty. I was instructed to return it to 1/4 tank and get credited for the extra gas that I put in. Maybe it's just me, I would think of putting gas in it afterwards rather than beforehand. Overall the experience was good. Van was clean and staff was courteous.

There was no snow removal when i went. To empty out my unit. 3 men sitting in the office doing nothing while 1 man was outside in the freezing cold working. This place needs a makeover bad as it looks like someplace that would be in a sketchy neighborhood. Had my daughter not already reserved the unit i would have gone elsewhere.

We reserved a climate controlled storage unit. When we got there there was a long line that took 30 minutes to get through. Once we were being waited on we were told the unit we reserved was not available and that we could get non climate controlled or go to another facility. Staff was unprofessional, griping, and antagonistic. Their knowledge about their own processes and computer systems was severely lacking. Gate access to the storage area was not working, even after getting two access cards activated. What should have been a 20 minute visit turned into an hour+ headache of an ordeal.

The unit they gave me was dirty and the ceiling was ripped and coming down, all fiberglass exposed, they put a few pieces of red tape on it and said it was fixed. The people there were very unorganized, and had no idea what was going on or what they were doing. Never rent there again. I left and went somewhere else.

I came to U-Haul because of the convenience being less than 5 miles away. I have never rented a storage unit before this is my first time. I had a flood in my house and lost almost everything. The little bit of belongings that I could salvage I wanted to store safely. I went into U-Haul in Lorain and rented a truck and storage unit. I will never use U-Haul again or refer anyone to them. The office staff was so unhelpful and rude if I wasn't so desperate I would have left and went somewhere else. When renting a storage unit for the first time I had no idea how it worked. The office staff didn't explain how it worked or even what to do. One guy at the desk could not complete my transaction because he didn't have a cash drawer so I thought he was getting another employee to help me as other customers were coming in and getting waited on I'm just standing there. So I finally asked the guy at the desk why I wasn't getting any assistance and he said well you have to get in another line. I have never been there before I didn't know I had to go to another line. I just lost all my belongings to a flood I'm completely heartbroken at what is going on in my life and just needing a storage unit for a while until I get my house back in order. I'm sorry I'm sure this comment won't help anyone and probably no one will even read it so I'm probably just wasting my time.

I've had the best customer service from this facility. I have three total storage units, unfortunately two with other providers closer to my home. I initially went with the other company, due to storage availability and location. However, I'm definitely consolidating, and switching to Uhaul. Solely based on the service that I received from this location.

G.M there was not very helpful to employee that helped me.The employee actually worked in the garage and was working up front at the desks. He helped me get a storage locker. The G.M there charged me 11,95 plus tax for a lock which I didn't notice until next day.2 big signs there show locks regularly 11,95 for 9,95 went back for the difference and she made all kinds of reasons that she charged 11,95 employee there tried to refund the difference but GM didn't let her. I have the pictures of the two signs showing 9,95 saved

Note: Due to other problems at this location relating to truck rental, my move in date went from originally being scheduled for 02-11-23 to 02-12-23. The storage I reserved, had a rusted lock handle that look like it could give someone tetanus (the other storage units around were not rusted) and I had to ask them to assist because it would not open (one of the staff came out and oiled it. I didn't get his name but he had a major attitude during the whole process. The staff member named Asia never added the insurance coverage, as she reassured me should would, for the storage at the end of the billing process/check out process. She was courteous but did not follow through with these situations. I am extremely disgusted by the experience at the Elyria, Ohio location. Truly I am. I am considering if I can find a way to take my storage items somewhere else locally. As a customer I don't need to be made to feel as if I am bothering you on the job. Unbelievable.

I have had a consistently horrible experience with U-Haul a s company and at this particular facility. When I billed wrong 3 months in a row and tried to address this concern inside with the staff, they did not try to help me or fix the problem in any way. I closed my storage rental and have now moved to Public Storage instead.

I only had one issue on my end, and that was not checking out before leaving after my initial visit. That resulted in a denied access on my next visit, which I noticed after further inspection of the plethora of signs on the facility. Completely my fault. Only thing was, I wasn't immediately sure what the proper course of action was after that. I was able to head into the store / office, and was then granted a key card to swipe on the gate and exit keypad that I was informed about. But I am still am not sure what would be the proper course of action should that happen during hours where the office / store is closed. I was previously unaware of a key card being available, so it was a pleasant surprise. Otherwide my experience was very enjoyable and an happy with my unit.

The female manager screwed up and double booked the same truck and tried to put the blame on me - so she lied and said I brought my truck back on a half a tank of gas. She also tried charging me for two days when I didn't even have the truck 13 hours. I called corporate and they continually apologized for their employees behavior. Fore, she didn't expect me to have documented evidence of paying for gas and a full tank. She also said I went X amount of miles, but if she had put thought into her lies she would had realized the math to miles and gas didn't add up. I have proof that every single thing she said was a lie. And I hope to god someone high-up sees this post and investigates into her because she should so not be a manager. She's going to get Uhaul a lawsuit filed against them … the way she does customers.

Uhaul did not express to me that my storage reservation is only good if the unit they have is actually available. When I arrived yesterday for my reserved 10x10x8 storage room with an established move in date, I was told that the unit I had reserved was not available. The only one I could get was 10x5x8. Which is roughly half the room I was expecting. We were lucky enough to puzzle piece everything together to get it all to fit, but as a company you shouldn't rug pull your customers like that. Just makes me never want to go through uhaul again.

Upon cleaning out my unit I was disappointed to see water damage to a few of my items including damp couch and love seat , also water in my child's toys . There is significant water damage to the ceiling of the unit … I have put in a claim request as told by Uhaul website and have heard nothing .

First it took them two hours to my access right when I first rented, then they put a lock on unit when I was paid up on time, two months after I rented the unit, then when I was going to get my stuff out of storage, they ended cutting my lock off and was told my the maintenance man not to tell me what he did.

I reserved my storage unit online only to find out that the size I reserved was not actually available. I then had to get 2 storage units instead of one and the price was double what I was originally quoted. I was assured by the manager that she would get the price adjusted. I waited for 2 months and my calls were ignored by the manager. At one point I was denied access due to late payment aft we r being instructed not to pay until the price was corrected. In the end I was still charges over 100 dollars more than I was originally quoted. I would recommend never using Uhaul storage.

I had difficulties from customer service trying to rent a storage I showed my ID and they were not wrote me the unit because of my son old money which had nothing to do with me it was a total nightmare as far as the facility the employees try to do everything they could I had a problem with customer service thank you and I thought they was taking the payment out of my account automatically so I was a few days lateThey ended up sending my mother the bill which I don’t know how they got her address she had nothing to do with it it was very embarrassing I really was upset about that

1. Cannot contact the facility directly. Have to go through a long general U-Haul phone response center. 2. Did not know about a required U-Haul lock. We were not told of this requirement at check in. Received a call requesting a change 1 week after we checked in and had left the area.

I mean, there wasn't lighting but it was outdoors so that's to be expected. I was using a free 30-day unit due to coronavirus displacement, so I'm mostly very grateful that it was quick and easy to set up the unit.

I was told that the truck I rented was on a full tank of gas,, upon leaving I realized it wasn't! I felt like I was being scammed to fill the truck up before returning it. I rented the truck for 19,99
