It was rented for a non-profit organization (501c3) and if there is a corporate/discounted or other pricing available for non-profit organizations, we would gladly reconsider another unit - even if it's one half the size of this one. General Manager Sherev Buchanan was just outstanding! She made the check-out easy and provided so much information that we will look into with UHAUL corporate.

william mI was given an old beat-up trailer with greasy floors which stained my luggage, my luggage wheels, and boxes which in turn stained the carpet in my new home. Also, the registration of the trailer given to me in Virginia did not match the paper work or the contract. When I returned the trailer at the return location I was told I was returning the wrong trailer. The next day after I returned the trailer, I received two calls from the return location (in Florida)and the pick-up location (in Virginia) inquiring as to when will I return the trailer. After confirming I had returned the trailer with the wrong registration number, I was told they would take care of the problem and call me back to confirm. However I was never called back, and I had to call both locations to confirm that the return of the trailer was properly logged.
CARLOS AI haven't hauled a trailer in quite a few years. The team here was enormously helpful. They inspected my hitch. Helped me get everything connected and tested. And check in/out was quick and painless. Everyone I encountered on the customer team was friendly and awesome. Great work. I feel confident as we're moving homes that we have an amazing support crew to help us out.

TAYLOR MThese people were unprofessional and used the f word all through their presence at my house. They deceived me to give them the U-Haul code in the middle of the work and they abandoned everything before finishing the job. I had to pay $1000 extra to hire other movers and replace my damaged property. I have a filed a formal claim with U-Haul. U-Haul should never put such unprofessional people on its platform and let its customers get abused financially and emotionally.

Donald GOnly issue I had was they rented me equipment that wasn't on the property so it took extra time to figure out the equipment wasn't there, get another trailer and send the proper link for the correct equipment rental. Luckily I was in a good mood and not on a time schedule so it didn't upset me at that moment but I could imagine that others may not be so patient.
JESSE JThe association was eating a slimjim and drinking an Arizona while helping us with our transactions then she just gave us the key and sent us outside. We had to search and find someone else who was very kind and helpful to assist us with finding the correct truck. The association was unwilling to assist with answering questions about my rental or figuring out why the extra miles weren't added she told me I need to call them myself. Over all very poor experience I would NOT recommend my friends and family to this place we got better service at the Manassas and Allentown Rd locations.

Mark DI opted to do self pick up however when I got there the truck I was assigned was blocked in by 2 other trucks. The lady who helped me had me quickly go through the initial pictures and such to get to a lock box code to receive the key that never came up, she had to use the master key to open the whole cabinet and get them out. Why she didn't just do that from the get go is beyond me. They had to move the two trucks then I had to ask someone to pull the truck out as it was straddling a cement block and I didn't want to be liable. Then when I pointed out the equipment I rented wasn't in the back like it was supposed to be the lady told me just to pull over to the shed they would help me. I pulled over to the shed three guys looked at me standing there and didn't say a word or make an effort to help me so I grab my own dolly's and threw them in the back. What was supposed to be a self service pick up ended up being near full service for the truck and nothing was prepared the way it was supposed to be.

JOEL MIf I could give zero stars, I would. This U-Haul location is an absolute disaster. The nightmare began upon returning the vehicle . They tried to slap bogus charges on us which were completely inaccurate. I even returned the truck with more gas than when I picked it up, and I had photo proof. Didn't matter. They acted like I was trying to scam them. When I calmly tried to dispute the charges, the employee got defensive and borderline hostile, talking over me and refusing to provide any clear documentation. This place survives off scamming people who don't have the time or energy to fight back. Don't be their next victim. Take your business somewhere else.

MICHAEL AVehicle was Picked with a Broken / Drained out Battery, upon Finishing Loading the Vehicle to start the long Trip, the vehicle Had starting Problems; we Had to call maintenance to get a new Battery in Place just to get the Trip started; It was a negligence of the Pick up location to check for the Proper Battery was Placed in the vehicle, so we Did not Have any further issues; we replaced the Battery in front of our Departure location and made it safely to the Lorton Uhaul location, where we would attach the Trailer for our car to Be loaded; The car was loaded with the Help of the staff, and the front wheels were tied with safety Belts; But after a today or two, the Belt on the front right side Wheel Became lose and I Didnt know How to re-attach them on my own; I Think the staff in Lorton Did not Do a thorough Job Tying it correctly; since the left front wheel was tied correctly, I did not Have any other issues and made it to the Destination in Aurora, CO. Other than That, I was very Pleased with the vehicle and that we arrived at our Destination safely;

I liked the consistency of staff - I saw the same employees every time I was at my unit and the manager was often around and interacting with customers. I had confidence my items were safe and secure. My primary area of feedback regards access to the loading bays. Cars and trucks are allowed to park there when they are not actively loading and unloading. On my last two visits to clean out my unit I had to carry items from the loading zone down the stairs and to my vehicle. Super inconvenient. On at least one occasion, one of the employees vehicles was parked in a spot for loading and unloading. (I saw this employee moving and Getting things out of the same vehicle the day before.) From a design perspective, it makes no sense that the customer parking is accessed from the truck rental return lane. So during busy times, those spots are either not accessible or you can't get your vehicle out.

At one point, I needed a large access garage door type access but the unit I rented only came with a small door-sized access. While a new unit was eventually available, it did delay my rental by three weeks.

Understand the need for security but hope a way can be found to maintain security without assaulting the ears of people unlucky enough to be near the horn.

I spoke to someone in the office and they assured me that I would not receive a refund. In addition, on the third floor, there are two double doors but instead of both swinging out or in the same way, one of the doors swings out and the other swings in, making it difficult to move in and out through that hallway. The furniture carts are also very small and not able to accommodate tables or sofas.

The time was 720 pm. I was stuck outside. I called the help number and they said I was checked in. I had to leave the truck outside and return in the morning at which point I moved in.

Due to delayed departure, called the location and was able to complete the rental of storage unit on the phone. Representative went over all the details of how to access the facility after hours and emailed additional information. Took a lot of stress off and was able to turn the truck and car transport on time. Facility was clean and plenty of carts to load items and carry to storage unit.

The reason for this is their check-out policy of not pro-rating the monthly rent fee. Being in the military I cannot predict when I am going to be leaving and as it worked out I had to close out my storage space on the 10th of July. This means that I paid $192 for 10 days of usage. If I had to check out on the 2nd of the month then I would have paid $192 for only 2 days of usage. This policy of not pro-rating the rental fee is disadvantageous to military personnel who may have to leave in the middle of the month. That being the policy, I am somewhat surprised that I wasn't forced to return the over-priced mandatory lock that I had to purchase from U-haul when I started renting the storage space just so it could be re-sold for more profit by U-haul. I would not recommend this storage location to any of my military friends.
