Didn't appreciate the way was treated after trying to move my things out. I had my things in this facility for way to long & I should have had my things out a long time ago. I hope to never have to use them again.

Meredith H | Premières impressionsThis was the most helpful location of the three. The representative hooked up the trailer and helped adjust the truck mirrors. I had to get the truck from another location. The truck had issues with locking up if not in park or coasting. The phone staff had an attitude of pickup wherever we tell you to even if that is the other side of the state. I had a note on the reservation that I needed to pickup in Ames since I could not take my car out of town so they just said fine we will cancel your reservation. This attitude is not customer friendly. I had 6 phone calls the day before pickup with different locations each time. It cost me $189,75 just to get to the first location.

FRANCISCO REnclosed trailer floor was covered in mud and dirt that required being mopped 4x to get it clean enough to load personal belongings. Trailer is missing a bolt in the floor that would have allowed water into the trailer had it rained. Trailer is very old and heavily depreciated.

JUSTIN DI did recommend it, as my cousin rented a unit that same weekend from this location. I was well taken care of by two different employees. Both were very accommodating, kind people. Un déménagement peut être stressant. Pulling a trailer can be stressful. They both did a good job of relieving some of the stress, as best they could. I had no problem navigating their lot, but it is tight quarters, especially when compared to the drop off location.
BRIAN MFacility is not very secure and there were no carts.

BLAIR DThe truck had 3/8 tank of gas. I have never rented a vehicle of any kind that was not full when picked it up.
HANNAH AI had a difficult time safely navigating the trailer I rented back to the original spot. A spotter or hand cart to assist in moving the trailer would have been helpful. As a result, I blocked a customer from being able to pick up equipment for about 15 minutes.

ARIEL FEverything was great, I've had to do many extension, and dealt with many of your people, turning in different vechles, and renting others, everything been great , I will have to extend one more time which means I've had one of your trucks for over month, wasn't expecting that. Maybe a small decount ,???? Would be nice, or another month free for storage unit, I've already paid 3 months, that a good move on your part with this pr0m0 . Any way great service good people.

Regina RDidn't know where to leave the truck. Then when trying to leave in my car couldn't get thru the 1 way and had to back up and go a different way. Think a person was loading his stuff out of the storage unit and his truck and trailer was not parked the best to get out.
Sue sThe truck needed to be washed. The side mirrors were very dirty. The gentleman who checked me in was super friendly and helpful. When we brought the truck back. A lady who works there with dark brown hair was rather rude. Instead of coming up to us. She walked across the parking lot and yelled to "just leave the key in the truck and go ahead and go". She just kept walking towards the building. Because of her lack of customer service. I would not recommend anyone to rent from this particular place.
CHANDRA LReally you can't do much. Just retain the employees you have. Both times picking up and returning I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Great experience great employees you have!!
MARK KThe truck was not good the ramp was stuck and could not be put up resulting in me driving with it half way in and door open. I could not stop to add fuel like this and was charged $20 for fuel and only drove 11 miles total.

NEVA HSign said pull vehicle up to line wait here with vehicle and an attendant will be with you shortly, waited a good 20 minutes while two ladies stood out front and talked and both went inside waited couple of minutes longer no one came out, went into the building both of ladies that were standing outside were sitting at a desk when I asked if they were going to check in the truck she said I just need the keys I tried to ask a question and I got the same response I just need the keys, handed her the keys and left. I returned the truck same as I took it and I knew that, except it had way more fuel then left in it in on return, that was my fault, but I was ok with that, the store in Texas was great! I almost went back in and demanded the truck be checked in for I did not want blamed for anything that happened after I dropped it off. it took a minute, but I thought better realizing there would probably be words said that I would regret.
DALE VMore staff. it was very busy for one person to handle all the responsibilities, though Dempsey was exceptional, kind, thoughtful, confident, and an exemplary employee; he was the epitome of Customer Service apologetic for the wait and kind.

CHARLES SGetting this reserved was almost impossible. When you think of renting a Uhaul, you think that they have equipment to be rented and taken anywhere you need to go. That's the whole purpose of Uhaul to start with right? To help people move. In this case specifically, and others, that is/was not the case. I had to call twice, once to a specific location then again to the main number to get a tow dolly. You would think in a 100 mile radius among 20-40 locations there would be one available. Well, there was, but you couldnt leave town with them. Every location had one or two dolly's or transports. But, they wouldnt let me have one because they were "for in town use only". I had to pick one up in Des Moines , take it to Davenport, then on to my destination. Had I waited 7ntil I was in Davenport to get one, I'd been in trouble and would have wasted an 8 hour one way trip for nothing. That is not the first time this has happened and has been a change in the last 2 years. Not convenient or customer friendly at all. On top of all that, ew days after I returned it, I get an email stating I hadn't returned it and was incurring late fees. Had to call and get that straightened out. I even returned it a day early.

STEPHEN AThe service was very good. The staff was very helpful and had a vehicle for me, even if I was a day early. BTW I had rented a truck to move to the location I live at now. The store was having issues with their computer system (4 years ago). I was able to get a truck, anyway, eventually was not charged for the daily rental. I thought this was more than fair.
STEVEN NDempsey is incredibly courteous and professional. He resolved all my issues promptly and without question. The whole process start to finish regarding the rental itself was smooth. I will definitely be returning and recommending this location to others.
Gippetto LThe day I picked up van. I noticed pending charge of 2 days. I asked cashier about overcharges. She asked a coworker. BOTH stated due to early pick up BUT that on return system would automatically remove overcharges. I said ok then left. When I returned the van I did ask again about overcharges. This 3rd employee stated automatically will be taken off. I WAS OVERCHARGED WHICH CAUSED OVERDRAFT FEES RO MY ACCOUNT. I called in the next day Sunday. Told by General Manager 3-5 business days for refund. I requested funds for overdraft fees. He said he will check then contact me Monday from office.. DID NOT HAPPEN!!! VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! NO REFUND HAS BEEN RECEIVED!!!!

One day I was in back of my full unit when my extension cord got unplugged and thrown down and then my cries for help went unanswered. I was all alone in my dark unit with zero light. I was immediately worried of beaking a leg or falling on something. I'll never come back to this one. I also had gotten that unit because I wanted climate control and they put me on the side that wasn't.

Oh not to mention 1535 was given first it was already rented but I went off YOUR WEBSITE about the size and there is NO WAY that size is a 1 bedroom. All I got was an apology not good enough. I'm canceling my unit and finding a new unit with a different company. Only good thing was they discount the desposit when I picked it up my truck.

Blake S | Expérience généraleI recommend people to go there but until I went to pay with cash at the end to close out my storage until this Angela girl give me a fake receipt and went back to close out and the store manager goes that was a fake one and I said I had to make her go back on the cameras to look back and told them everything step-by-step and told her what was going on that day and they had to go back and tell the girls girls what was going on I always deal with the same girl but she was not there I was pretty messed up and now I have to go backOver there after two weeks of getting letters in the mail saying my thing is not closed out saying I still owe $134 to U-Haul is getting ridiculous because it’s not cleared up yet a waste of time for me to drive over there and get this cleared up no I think they should reverse me for something I have to go clean up their mess because this girl did not put my money in the drawer and make a payment on my stuff but they have to go back to cameras

Janaf office are no help for all the money a person spends.all they say when you ask for help hooking up is it's not their job.everything I ask for,I didn't get,and I was assured it was there.overcharged,quoted one price after adding up everything then get there and the price is 400 more then they tell you this is what you ordered.at the janaf office they said do you want it or not, terrible business practice just when you need it,I'll never use y'all business again. When the current manager called me and told me that it was still there, waived the month between when I was told it was gone and when he was reviewing records, and made it very easy for me to continue the lease. If not for him I may have lost several momentos and personal items that are important to me. Clean out was easy and it was quick getting out of the store after. Overall its been a good experience. No signs of anyone trying to get into the units, it was tyically clean and quiet inside.
