ARNOLD MWe reserved and were confirmed for a 5x8 trailer. When my husband got there, he was given a 4x6 with no explanation. We had to move our son and ended up having to cram his queen mattress in and make several more trips to get all his things moved. Very disappointed. We rented that size for a reason and feel like it was not good customer service to switch it at the last minute. Made our job much harder.

thomas b | Expérience généraleMy original pickup was scheduled for the Pullman location and when I arrived they said they didn’t have it in their system and there was nothing they could do to change it or help me - they were useless and no help at all - luckily I called U-Haul customer service and they helped me get a truck at Moscow quickly and that was awesome

GARY HI was scheduled to drop off car at 7 AM, told about a 3 hour wait. The gentleman who did the work on my car said he showed up to work at 10 when I stopped by at 11 wondering if it was close to being finished. 6 hours into the 3 hour install it was done. Obviously it's not the workers fault he wasn't scheduled till 10 but why even have me there first thing in the morning if the mechanic shows up at the end of the estimated install time? Just set themselves up for a bad experience.

HEATHER PMake sure the air conditioner works. I said something and the only response I got was OK. You need to pay an additional $16 for going 11 miles over your estimate. Also, it kept saying to service the airbag.
ANNA BThe initial rental did not start out well. We were supposed to pick up in Lewiston, and instead had to drive 40+ miles to pick up. Upon pick up, we had reserved both a hand cart and an appliance dolly, and there were no hand carts available. No apologies were offered. The staff actually did not seem to care at all. The representative that notified me of needing to travel farther did do right by offering an extra day and 100 miles, but the lack of regard for the inconvenience and the staff at pickup was very disappointing.

It would've been nice to have a little more fuel on it, but I understand if that's how businesses run your app is a little outdated and clunky. It would be nice if you improved your app experience it should be more user-friendly.

He then completed an inspection in a timely manner and provided a report of his findings. He was very knowledgeable and willing to be of service. The Moscow U-Haul is a top of the line dealer because of employees like the one that worked with us today.

GUY WI was surprised by how quick both picking up the van was and how quickly I was able to turn it in. Employees on both ends of my use were friendly, knowledgeable and explained questions that I had.
DUANE AI returned the gas with the same that it was given me, as it related to the paper and the woman charged me $20. She offered me to go put 2$ in the tank when I returned the truck, but I 1. already put gas in the trunk (Which was not full when I received it) and I was blocked in by 3 different trucks when it was time to return the truck. She was not rude, but that is completely unacceptable.

Our only concern is that the customer service needs improvement, particularly the cranky manager who was less than pleasant every time we encountered her. Overall though we would recommend this place. The storage prices seemed high, so next time we will compare prices. However, for our move this was a perfect set up.

He could use some training in good customer service. I have been a retail store manager specializing in customer service for years.
Stefanie BI rented a U-Haul truck, and when I picked it up, the gas gauge indicated that it was already full. I only drove it for 5 miles, but when I returned it, I had to add 5,51 gallons of gas to fill the tank. This seems strange to me. Unless the truck has very low fuel efficiency or wasn't actually full to begin with, I find it hard to believe that I needed to put in that much gas after such a short drive.

Seth WIt would help if the U-Haul CSR were a little more personable, also it would help to make sure the customer understands that the amount they agree to up front is an estimate and may be less than what they are quoted.

TODD BAgent was snippy from the get go when I was not pleased about being asked to upload license via my phone and download app. Final price was FAR more than we had been quoted by phone the previous evening, but I was too flustered by the attitude to dig into why. Always had good experiences in the past, but now Uhaul generally and especially this location will be my absolute last resort choice.

JULIE FI'm extremely annoyed that they hadn't filled the tank before checking the truck out to me. Gauge looked pretty full, but when I filled it up after putting a total of 12 miles on the truck, it took over 9 gallons to fill it.
James HI am the Director of Engineering at Gritman Medical Center here in Moscow and I have been responsible for renting moving vans for recent moves performed at the hospital. It is important for me to have all of the proper paperwork to submit to the hospital for proper expensing of items like moving van rentals. This is the fifth (5th) time I have rented in the past three months and every one of the receipts sent to me was incorrect. To top it off, I have yet to receive a receipt for the truck i turned in over six hours ago!! The helper at the U-Haul store even verified with me that the email address was correct when i turned in the truck! I'm going to have to, AGAIN, get online to chat with someone to figure out how to finally get me a receipt - hopefully a correct one! This is very disappointing and frustrating!
DENNIS NAlthough the lock on our storage unit we purchased was mistakenly taken of and replaced with a new lock, we weren't notified of the change and the new lock had no keys and was cut off at no charge, we were made to purchase a new lock, instead of giving us a free replacement lock. Overall a good experience!

Lighting outside was great, but our unit was very dark and I had to use flashlights in order to locate my things to retrieve from storage; this posed a safety issue a few times when I couldn't see my way around.

I arrived from out of state with an online confirmed storage space reservation and was told reservations were only "requests" and the unit I reserved was not available. The only unit "available" was twice the size and price of the one I had reserved. I was then asked to provide a different email than my online account "for security". The higher priced unit was then booked on an account under the second email. I was a " no show" for the original reservation under my primary account and asked via email for feedback on why I did not keep my reservation. When I expressed my concern about this I was told by staff that they are the only U-Haul in a town with two universities so they can get away with anything they want. I contacted the manager with no response.

I am not local, and only needed it because a different local Uhaul left me high and dry on the morning of my house move. I tried the app, didn't work. I rang the office and was "put on hold", briefly before being cut off and hung up on. The 1-800 number are unhelpful. Nightmare.

Your failure to notify me that the storage unit was not available resulted in extra gas, extra mileage to be paid for, and an extra $140 in labor costs for my movers. The service is unacceptable and I will be writing about my experience on multiple platforms.

I had to change the reservation to June 31, 2022 & on that day I had NO one to help with my move. The manager was friendly & seemed exhausted & overwhelmed. He gave free one month storage & even accepted my van return 5 minutes before the facility closed....which I didn't expect him to do. Please give him a raise...BLESS HIS HEART!

Anyways informed her and she understood right away why I was upset and that it was not okay the speed limit is like 2-5mph and this lady breezed past me close enough I had to move before the mirror hit me.

UBoxes blocked my indoor access door for days and were next moved into the indoor loading area. This made moving my stored stuff more challenging. But overall, I have had a consistently positive experience here and with Uhaul in general for the past five months as I prepped for and executed a family move to a new city.

Sue I | Premières impressionsThis was a case of what I consider false advertising. First, I was lead to believe that my storage unit was secured when I made the reservation for my Uhaul truck. I later came to find out that it was not secured, that there were no available units and that I needed to keep calling until one opened up. After many calls One finally opened up and I reserved it. Second, I came to then find out that this facility does not honor the "first month of storage free" as advertised on the Uhaul website. The clerk at the Moscow, ID store acknowledged this was a problem as many customers expect the first month free and are upset when they find out this is not the case. Because storage units are hard to come by I went ahead and paid the $189 for the first months rent. I could never discuss the matter with Brittany the manager as she was never at the store when I stopped in and I got tired of waiting on hold on the Uhaul 800 number. Third, the unit was not climate controlled as advertised. All of the climate controlled units were apparently full. I reserved the unit , paid in full and it sat empty for a month while I searched and waited for a climate controlled unit. One finally came open, I canceled my unit with Uhaul and moved my belongings into another facility. Based on the false advertising : no units available, no climate controlled units available and no first month free as advertised I would like a full refund of my $189. I believe however that the staff should be careful to keep the entrance to the storage clear always so that people can drive through. Many times this has not happened. Ian R | Expérience généraleOnline, I reserved a 10x15 storage unit and received a confirmation notice for that specific size. The website noted that there was one 10x15 unit available and that is what I reserved (two days prior to rental). When I arrived at the UHaul facility in Moscow with a UHaul truck full of my household furnishings and after driving 300 miles that day (Boise to Moscow), the UHaul attendant informed that there were no units that size available in spite of my reservation. I asked what options existed and she told me I could either rent a 5x10 unit or go find another storage facility. I reiterated that I had a confirmation for the 10x15 unit and again asked what options existed as one 5x10 unit would not be sufficient. She repeated the same two options and offered no other solution. After letting her know that the 5x10 was 1/3 the size of a 10x15 and that it would not be large enough, I asked if there were possibly two 5x10 units available. She replied that there were but that they were not located close together. I asked if would be possible to rent both of the 5x10 units at the same price as the 10x15 since there is an inordinate price differential based on square footage. For example, the cost of a 10x15 unit is approximately $1 per square foot per month. The cost of a 5x10 unit is approximately $2 per square foot per month. She advised that she would request the modified cost for the units but that it could not be confirmed until Monday, June 15. I also said that I would need another lock, which she provided at no cost (which was very kind of her). I would like to say that she seemed hesitant about her ability to handle this situation and it was apparently hard for her to have to tell a customer that the unit that was confirmed was not available - a situation she should not have been put in by the company. Knowing that she was not responsible for UHaul's lack of integrity in honoring a confirmed reservation, I thanked her for her help. She was very pleasant but did not seem to be able to think of helpful solutions until prompted with ideas that I generated. I would like to thank her for helping me and I feel bad that she was put in that situation by her employer, but I would have also liked for the solutions to have been presented by the company making the error. Since the final rental cost will not be approved until Monday, June 15, I would also like to request that the two 5x10 units that I ended up renting be charged at the monthly rate of $1 per square foot (equivalent to the cost of the 10x15 unit) which would be approximately $100 per month, rather than the rate of the 10x15 unit, since I am only getting 100 square feet of storage space instead of 150 square feet. Please let me know if this reduced monthly rate will be honored due to the error made by UHaul. Thank you so much for your consideration of this request. I appreciate being able to use your clean and well maintained storage facility as it is a very convenient location for me. Karen Quist, cell 240-446-1111

Sure there are always those in line ahead of you with a rant about this or that, but these people are the real deal. They treated me very fair, courteous and even when I was a bit short - went the extra mile! I thought to bring them a little something to show my appreciation, but the COVID19 has got me thinking otherwise. The least I can do is leave a stellar review to showcase how nice these folks are to do business with. Thanks for a pleasant move in the worst of conditions. Moscow U-haul is #1.
