Midgad is a virtual location with no staff on site. The key was stuck inside the lock box, and it took me 10 minutes of jiggling the box to get the drop-down metal to move enough to get a finger in there. There were no staff members available to help me because the only staff on site is a giant screen where you can talk to somebody through a webcam. The cab of the rental truck smelled like cigarette smoke. There are burns from cigarettes in the roof liner of the truck. I have video of this. The app was slow with multiple connection problems as I tried to pick up and return the vehicle in the rain. Worst rental experience of my life.

PATRICIA OMidgard is concerning with their automated off-site customer service. While the facility is clean and they didn’t do anything wrong, conducting business with someone who is present still matters.
Sara RI don’t want to talk to someone on a screen, and then have to figure out where to get the key, where to find the truck, and upon not finding the truck have to figure out how to get out of the now locked gate. The remote employee idea may be good for you, but it sucks when it comes to customer experience. I also did not like to have to download an app on my phone, which violates my privacy. And then upon a return, the woman on the screen could not help me, could not tell me what to find on the app to get checked back in and was basically clueless about what I needed to do to finish up. Fortunately, there was a live person there, doing something else, who was able to get me squared away. Having to talk to someone on a screen is ridiculous and makes the whole process more time-consuming. I will look elsewhere next time.
